n I just knew this was the ONE. The space is so large and roomy. The vibe is very romantic and whimsical. My favorite part is that the room is almost like an “L” shape and we have our ceremony on one side and our reception tables on the other and even though it’s one room it felt like two separate spaces! All the staff were very accommodating and helpful with everything we needed. We did have a change of venue mangers at the very end but both girls that we worked with were so efficient and organized that the day was everything we dreamed of! The food was amazing and I got a million compliments on how tasty everything was. The bridal and grooms dens are huge added bonuses! They are huge spaces with lots of amenities to make you and your wedding party feel right at home when getting ready for the day. Even though it ended up being freezing outside the greens outside were perfect so our photos will still be amazing! I have nothing but good things to say about this place and highly recommend hosting your wedding here. :)

ces. We had our ceremony indoors, and that space was flipped to house our remaining guest tables. We could very comfortably fit almost 300 guests, with plenty of room to walk between tables and host cocktail hour on the other side of the ballroom. Samantha was wonderful to work with during the planning process and helped everything run smoothly the day-of. Our food was delicious, and the bartenders and servers were fantastic. We didn't use the getting ready space in the basement, but it is huge if you are wanting to get ready on site; it was a great spot to hang out in before the ceremony started. And compared to every venue we looked at, Oak Glen was much more affordable and there weren't any hidden fees like we found almost everywhere else. It was also great to have a one stop shop for our venue, food, and bar. We would highly recommend Oak Glen for your wedding - we loved it!

The food and beverages were reasonable priced considering we had a sit down dinner with food for the bridal party throughout the entire day. We only had one complaint throughout the dinner, which was that the kitchen staff was very loud in the back, therefore some guests near the kitchen doors had a tougher time hearing the toasts. Other than that, we had nothing but complements on the venue as a whole, layout of the space, and convenience of having both the ceremony and reception at one place. Our guests talked about how nice the view was with all the big windows and how good the food was! We could not have picked a more perfect place to have our special day!

It turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The willow trees hanging down with a pond and fountain behind us made for a picture-perfect wedding ceremony. The reception hall is amazing! The best part about it is, it’s such a pretty place, with its wood interior, vaulted ceilings and massive bay windows, you don't have to add many decorations, besides center pieces on the tables, because it has its own beauty to it. The day of the wedding all the gentlemen helping us were extremely helpful and were always there for us when we needed them. The real star was a gentleman named Cam. He is a total ROCKSTAR!! This guy was the biggest help for our rehearsal dinner and on the day of. He was our absolute go to guy for everything. Whatever we needed or asked of him he did. He never pushed back or complained. So why 3 stars? I'll tell you... When we first booked this venue, we signed with a gentleman named Matt, who was awesome. Sadly, he left for another position and we got stuck with SAMI SANDERS. She was possibly the WORST person we worked with throughout our entire wedding planning experience. I will give her this, she was very good at fielding questions from us, we had a ton, and giving us an answer. The problem was if it wasn't a straight forward question that could be answered easily, she was TERRIBLE. Anytime we had a request of some sort she ALWAYS put up a fight or acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She always had an excuse and was never willing to go to bat for us on anything! Going into our rehearsal and day of we were terrified that our wedding was going to end up terrible because she was so bad at her job and didn't care in any way that things went well. She was terrible at communication, days between emails, we didn't even find out she replaced Matt until about 6 months after he left, the only reason we found out was because WE reached out. To get her to respond to my calls I had to request info from her through the website, the place where prospective clients go through, I also had to call the GM to finally get her to email me. She isn't proactive at all. We always had to be the ones to reach out about tasting, viewings of the venue, our rehearsal times, EVERYTHING! We asked her point blank if she was our point of contact for the rehearsal and the day of, she said yes. She then decided to not show for the rehearsal without telling us, however that was the best thing that happened because that’s when we met Cam. Then the day of we didn't see her until after dinner was being served, we saw her for all of 20 seconds and then never to see or hear from her again. She is truly an AWFUL event coordinator and desperately needs some guidance or to find a new field of work. Had she been the coordinator when we first viewed this place we would have never booked because anyone with eyes can see she's extremely incompetent in her job with just a simple conversation. However, we are extremely happy that we had our wedding here because it turned out perfect, no thanks to her. I would absolutely recommend this as a venue because it’s beautiful, just keep in mind you will be doing EVERYTHING and will have ZERO help from the one person you're supposed to be able to depend on, Sami Sanders. Everything, except Sami, was awesome here!

We had extra children show up to the reception, but they handled it without incident - found then seats and got them meals. We are so thrilled with our experience at Oak Glen; we wouldn't change a thing!

odled the place last summer, so everything is up-to-date. They do beautiful head table, cake, gifts, and coffee table decorations for a very small fee-if anything...depending on how much you want. The service is fantastic, along with their food! I would recommend this to anyone wanting their wedding East of the Twin Cities or someone from western WI. The only downfall possibly is the L shaped layout and the smaller dance floor.
