strumental in making it a casual evening for the bridal party and our out-of-town guests to relax and enjoy each other’s company. From Mary Jane’s list of vendors, we chose 2 food trucks: River City Wood Fire and Mister Softee RVA. Delicious pizza, soft serve ice cream and, of course, Oakdale Wine…a perfect combination for a wonderful way to kick off Wedding Weekend. I highly recommend The Vines for small gatherings. There was plenty of seating for our 38 guests, and they provided a projector for a sentimental slideshow of the brides! At Oakdale, you can’t go wrong! Mary Jane handles every detail as if she were a close friend! I’m even tempted to give her credit for the perfect weather we had (she’s THAT good)! Thanks for an evening we won’t forget! And that was just the rehearsal!!!

sure our vision came to life. Oakdale itself is much more spacious and open than the pictures make it seem! The bridal suite held our bridal party of nine with three hair and make up artists, no problem! We utilized The Vines as our rehearsal dinner space. The Vines is the perfect place for a relaxing rehearsal dinner with family and friends! The space and decor inside of both buildings is beautiful and tasteful. Oakdale includes a DJ (DJ Rodney Lee who was fantastic!) and bartenders with their package, we also selected the package that included linens, barware, flatware (totally worth it, one less vendor to find!). We utilized Oakdale's preferred vendor list for most of our vendors but even for those not on the list Mary Jane coordinated and took care of everything once we booked. I truly do not believe our day would have been as amazing as it was without the Oakdale staff, I cannot thank or rave about them enough!

y and even after the big day the staff was 110% there for us. The DJ was included in the cost which was HUGE! DJ hunter was phenomenal and kept the dance floor going all night long. Mary Jane our coordinator was absolutely amazing and a pleasure the work with. The owner Chris was also absolutely incredible. This is a venue and organization that treats you like family and has mastered hospitality and customer service. Cannot recommend them enough,.

most. From start to finish, the team at Oakdale was superb in being quick to respond, answer any questions, and help with anything and everything. Not too mention, the nicest people ever! After my initial conversations with Mary (super nice by the way), Amanda took over and helped me from start to finish. As a guy who's as clueless as they come when it comes to weddings, Amanda was a God-send. Amanda, who we worked closely with the most, is extremely nice, patient (believe me because I was that annoying customer who had a million questions), and helpful (helped plan everything to a T and the actual preparation on the wedding day). She is so great that my family even noticed and praised her. Couldn't imagine what my wedding day would be like without Amanda's help. As for the venue itself, it's even more spacious than pictures portray, very clean and well-kept (every other venue I looked at was lacking this in some degree), customizable, easy to navigate, plenty of parking, and even has valet with a golf cart to and from the parking lot! You also get 2 bartenders and a DJ! They recently finished building another smaller barn for the groomsmen to hangout in too (looks really good). If you're looking for a well-maintained wedding venue with the best people running it, fair-priced, and lots of room for photos and for people to hangout, this is the one.

I loved how responsive she was to my phone calls and texts, and was able to step in when I needed something delegated. She had an answer and a recommendation to all of the questions I had. The Oakdale itself is STUNNING. Everyone loved how the ceremony location was right by the water and they enjoyed watching the cows. The reception area is very spacious and comfortably fit our 210 guests! We loved that the Oakdale had so many amenities and vendors included in their package like a coordinator, DJ, and bartenders. My guests also appreciated that there was ample parking and they allowed for cars to be parked over night. I would highly recommend this wedding venue to all of my friends and family who are tying the knot soon!

ry Jane was quick to respond to every one of my questions during that time between the consult and wedding. She was very helpful in the planning aspect as neither of us had ever planned a wedding before and we weren’t sure of how we should do everything. Things like where to do the ceremony at, what if it rains, how the tables should be set up in the reception barn, if we needed additional restrooms (renting a bathroom trailer), how to decorate inside etc. Mary Jane would help make suggestions, tell us how other couples had done things, and would show us pictures from other weddings. I am such an indecisive person so all of her suggestions were SO helpful. She never forced anything on us, she would give us all the time in the world to decide on how we wanted things and we could tell she just wanted our day to be the way we wanted. She’s very laid back yet SO helpful and knows every detail in and out about weddings. Our wedding day was a BREEZE. At that point I had become a worry wart about how I wanted each table set up, like the dessert table, guestbook table, gifts table, grandparents table. Mary Jane and her assistant Logan set everything up so beautifully and even exceeded what my mind thought it was going to look like. I was getting ready all morning so I would come out of the bridal suite in Oakdale to see everything and the way she set up everything was just breathtaking. Mary Jane hand tied all of the napkins on the tables, the way they placed the flowers on the tables were perfect, and the dessert table really blew me away! Mary Jane added little things that I didn’t even think of, like put extra rose petals from the florist on the table. They made sure we were taken care of the whole wedding day, made sure we ate, Mary Jane even made our plates and put them at our table, she made sure we had drinks, and she made sure we got all of our stuff at the end of the night. This wedding venue is amazing you will be so well taken care of if you book here, Mary Jane and her assistant Logan will make sure your day is everything you’ve ever wanted!

b. She was energetic, friendly and super organized. She was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The day of the wedding, I did not stress about one single thing because she was so on top of everything. She went above and beyond to make sure that it was set up just how we talked about, and did it all with the most generous and eager attitude. She truly loves what she does and it shows. She is the type of person you want to be around on your wedding day and exudes so much positivity. I could not recommend her enough!!!

ordinator, Mary Jane, we knew it was definitely the place for us. Oakdale had an awesome wedding package that included many of the vendors and supplies we needed for the reception. We sought out the baker, photographer, florist, and hair/make up artists. Everything else we needed was included which made the planning process essentially stress-free! Mary Jane was with us every step of the way and answered every question we had quickly and efficiently. She worked with us to help give us the exact day we imagined and brought our dreams to life. Mary Jane also had great suggestions for decorations or ideas for receptions that she’s seen/done in the past. Mary Jane and the Oakdale staff helped our reception move seamlessly and effortlessly (for Ben and I, anyway). Everything went exactly as imagined and Oakdale was absolutely gorgeous! All of our guests raved about the venue. Must do the Tennessee lighting on the patio-it is absolutely beautiful at night! We cannot rave about Mary Jane and the Oakdale staff enough. If you are considering Oakdale, put your deposit down! You will NOT regret it!!! Thank you Mary Jane, Oakdale, and staff for the most perfect day!

The DJ Hunter Omohundro was fantastic at choosing music that was fun for all age groups of my guests that my other vendors commented that it was the most people they had seen dancing at one time during a wedding. Overall, I was overwhelmed by how perfect Oakdale was and had compliments on the venue the entire night!

MJ is extremely easy going & took so much off of my plate so that I could fully relax and be present on my wedding day. It was a huge plus that it's all inclusive - I didn't have to worry about renting linens, tableware, bar service, etc - it was all taken care of and I was still able to pick out all of my own colors to coordinate! I can't recommend this place enough!

This is OUR place! Oakdale is not only beautiful inside and out but their staff is amazing! Mary Jane, the venue coordinator, is the most amazing person! She was there for every question I had and assured me everything would be perfect! On the day of our wedding, I was not worried one bit! If anything didn’t go as planned, I never even knew about it! I was in the bridal suite having fun with my girls and getting ready for the ceremony! There are not enough words to express how grateful we are to everyone that was part of our day at Oakdale! I literally felt like a princess marrying my prince! It was my fairytale come true! Thank you to all the staff at Oakdale for the perfect start to the rest of our lives together! ❤️

e family members that would not have been able to attend, we had a small ceremony across the street at the Hanover Vegetable Farm and just had our reception at Oakdale. We made this decision last minute and Mary Jane offered to help in any way— she kindly coordinated our small ceremony and ensured everything ran smoothly, while keeping everything at Oakdale running just as smoothly. We had endless options to choose from in order to comfortably seat our large guest list inside and outside for dinner while maintaining social distancing during these current circumstances— which we knew would not be an easy task! They were willing to work with us and any changes that would need to occur in light of Covid and kept us informed of any changes on their end. Mary Jane worked with all the vendors we chose and kept in close contact with them to ensure everything was organized and ran smoothly. She made sure we were fed and had a drink in our hand at all times, followed our schedule, and even packed up every single decoration of ours at the end of the night so we did not have to worry about anything! Every staff member was amazing including our coordinator- Mary Jane, Chris Stem, bartenders, bar manager, and parking attendants. There are endless breathtaking views for pictures and endless options to accommodate your dream wedding vision. The entire day ran smoothly and we could not have picked a more beautiful venue with an incredible team to work with!!

hris was able to meet with us very quickly and give us a tour of the beautiful space, answer our questions, tell us about all the great things included in their wedding package, and show us how organized the business was. It is truly the perfect wedding venue with a gorgeous outside ceremony site with a paved aisle and a beautiful inside reception venue with awesome bar and bridal suite. Closer to our date we met our coordinator, Jenefer, and also Mary Jane who worked with us to make changes during the pandemic, coordinate with our other vendors, and meet with us whenever necessary. Jenefer was absolutely amazing on our wedding day and made sure the day ran perfectly and we stayed on schedule. She helped us set up the venue so that it was beautiful and exactly what I envisioned. She coordinated the rehearsal seamlessly and with vendors on the day of. She handled any problems that came up so that I didn't even know they were happening. We had about 150 guests and it was a great size for us.

Unfortunately her original date of 6/6/20 had to be changed due to COVID and she was able to book the new date with this lovely venue. The entire staff was amazing, especially Jeniffer, Mary Jane and Chris the owner. They ensured everything went as planned and when we had a transportation issue they helped work around it. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding or any other event.
