L blooms! The arrangements and other decorations were literally so gorgeous they took my breath away! Emily is so kind and encouraging, it was a blessing to work with her! Brie, and her other assistants are so sweet too and made sure that everything was perfect for our wedding day! I can not thank you all enough!

e met. I am someone who is full of anxiety and Michelle went above and beyond to make me feel relaxed and well-cared for. Having her during the last month before the wedding was such a huge help. She coordinated with all of our vendors for the timeline and we didn’t have to lift a finger. She is very organized, extremely responsive, and shared many useful recommendations in our multiple planning sessions. On our wedding day, she checked in with us frequently to make sure everything was going exactly as planned. Moreover, she is quick on her feet and very resourceful when it comes to problem solving. If something did go wrong, we wouldn’t even know because Michelle handled it and kept an uplifting energy to make our day a celebration of our love. As for the flowers and designs, they were OUT OF THIS WORLD and exceeded our hopes and dreams. Literally, everything she touched was a piece of art– a masterpiece :) If you want someone who is welcoming, the perfect mixture of calm but organized, and willing to go above and beyond to make your dreams a reality, then there is no choice but Michelle! Your vendors will thank you!

was willing to help with delivery and pick up of some items as our wedding venue was 45 minutes outside of Asheville. She was so calm and helpful on our wedding day and made sure the day/evening flowed smoothly. She is very reasonable priced and the flowers were stunning!! Highly recommend!

Michelle mentioned that she also coordinated, but my husband and I as well as several members of the wedding party are actually in the wedding industry, so we naively thought we were fine without it, we could handle it ourselves. It wasn't until crunch time, maybe a month away that we decided we wanted to actually enjoy our day and not be in work mode, and asked Michelle if she could do the day-of coordinating as well…BEST DECISION OF OUR LIVES. From the moment we asked her to coordinate, she had EVERYTHING under control. She was easy to talk with, wonderful personality, and completely chill the entire day. Our venue was 2 hours away from Asheville (where we got our cake from) and she even picked up the cake and returned the stand for us!! She was going to come the day of the wedding with the flowers, cake, and to string the lights before the wedding got started, but decided on her own that she wanted to come up the day before and hang the lights so that she would be completely available for anything that might come up the day of the wedding. This stuck out so much to me because it proves that she is dedicated to the job and was committed to doing whatever it took to make it a perfect day, even if that meant making the drive the day before. While on the subject of the lights: I originally asked her to do just 4 straight lines down the length of the venue for additional lighting. When she got in and saw the space, she came up with a BEAUTIFUL lighting design that completely transformed the space; I never would have even envisioned it! As for the flowers: they were absolutely stunning!! We wanted something more along the lines of wildflowers, and the bouquets blew me away! She has such an incredible way of taking your vision and completely capturing it while amplifying it beyond all measure! On the coordinating side: The biggest thing that stood out to me was how she kept everything on track the entire time, seemingly behind the scenes. If anything happened that wasn't anticipated we never knew about it. She took care of everything with every vendor while maintaining a calm, pleasant energy throughout the whole night. While we were doing our exit she packed up all of our decorations, cake, etc. and took the initiative to even load them into our cabin (which was right beside the and event venue) which was a HUGE lifesaver!! I could go on and on forever about all of the different ways she went so far above and beyond for us and our special day. She started as our florist, and ended up being our florist, lighting designer, cake deliverer, coordinator, and beyond. We both, being in the industry, have worked with hundreds of planners/decorators/etc. and I would NEVER recommend anyone higher than Michelle and her team. We are endlessly grateful for everything she did for us and I CANNOT recommend her and her team enough!!!!

pictures from my Pinterest board for the proposal, and I really enjoyed my first meeting with her (she even brought me a little jar of flowers). However, my service on my wedding day and after left me very disappointed. I am admittedly kind of a control freak and conveyed to Michelle multiple times that I was anxious not knowing exactly what my flowers would look like, but she assured me they would be a beautiful surprise. My flowers ended up causing me way more stress on my wedding day. I had asked for my flowers to be primarily hot pink, yellow, and white, with accents of purple, orange, and light pink. Michelle used beautiful hot pink peonies and chamomile like I had requested, but there was very little yellow in my flowers. What I think the florists were seeing as yellow was really more orange. This may not sound like a big deal, but colors and having everything coordinate is important in a wedding!! The bouquets that arrived did not match what I had in mind at all because of the colors. I was also disappointed with how my bouquet looked much smaller than I imagined based on the pictures we had used in the proposal. In addition to this, Michelle-who was the only contact I had had all along-was not the one that delivered my flowers. The florist that dropped off the flowers was someone I had never talked to, who then just left even though I was clearly disappointed. So, this left me, two of my bridesmaids, and my mother-in-law spending valuable time on my wedding morning fixing my flowers to be what I wanted. Luckily we had flowers left over from our welcome party, so we were able to remove the orange flowers and replace them with yellow ones, as well as adding more filler around the outside to make my bouquet look bigger. The bouquets were gorgeous in the end, once they were the right colors. However, since the boutonnieres were delivered straight to the boys at the venue, they were still the orangey yellow and weren't able to be fixed. When I got to the venue, there continued to be issues with the flowers. I had asked for flowers to be placed on all three tiers of the cake, and they were left off the top (with no yellow to be seen). The color scheme was not followed well, with there being very little yellow overall, and there being no more hot pink than any other color. There was really more greenery than flowers in a lot of the arrangements. I was encouraged by my bridesmaids and my husband to reach out to Michelle after the wedding to tell her about all the issues with my flowers. I wanted to give her a chance to explain and/or apologize before writing a negative review. Michelle was not apologetic at all, instead blaming me for being too picky and suggesting that I should have done my flowers myself. She also insinuated that I was the pickiest bride she had ever had because I wanted to nail down what kinds of flowers would and would not be used, even though this is definitely a normal part of wedding floral design!! Overall, the flowers were nice, and I'm sure the guests didn't notice they weren't right, but they were not what I asked for. As professional florists, they should have been able to do something as simple as following the right color scheme.

I was so impressed with how she transformed my vision for a classic white wedding at the Grove Park Inn into an absolute fairytale dream while staying perfectly within my budget. I've had so many guests tell me how elegant my bouquets, centerpieces, tablescapes and arrangements were. It was so very evident that they were made with so much love, care and attention to detail. Michelle was wonderful to work with and had such a calming, happy energy that always put me at ease. She was always willing to work with me to make adjustments leading up to my wedding, and I could not be happier with the outcome on my big day! Thank you Michelle and team!

They even assisted with some props that I wouldn't have expected a florist to have so Michelle and team really did help me out and made our wedding absolutely stunning. We were even able to donate some of the larger pieces to a hospital the next day and they couldn't get over how gorgeous the arrangements were. I highly recommend them for any occasion!

y had helpful ideas and suggestions for the bouquets, gazebo, aisle and mantel decorations, and tablescapes - all of which were incredibly beautiful. She easily incorporated some of the decor items available from The Farm, and even managed to use the bridesmaid's bouquets and aisle decorations as part of the reception table decorations! Her staff set up the decorations quickly and beautifully, moved ceremony decorations to the reception, and then came back to quickly break down and remove the decorations afterward. And Michelle was friendly and just delightful to work with. We definitely have, and will, recommend Michelle and Occasions by Emily!

with our rental needs and while we had a minor hiccup with the rental company and a delivery time, Michelle made sure to help us get the rental items we needed on time for an earlier event. Finally, we also elected to use a couple of décor items that Occasions by Emily had and everything looked absolutely wonderful. Celeste was our wedding coordinator and I can't thank her enough for her help the month leading up to the wedding and then on the wedding weekend itself. She answered all my emails promptly and was able to provide direction and ideas when I needed them. She coordinated with our vendors so well so that on the day of I was able to relax and enjoy the getting ready process. So thank you, Celeste and Michelle! Our wedding was absolutely magical and y'all played such a large part in making it that way. We cannot thank you enough. We would 100% recommend using Occasions by Emily for both floral and coordinating needs.

couple on a budget, Michelle was willing to work within those boundaries and allowed us to set up a payment plan that worked for our needs. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and exactly as I had envisioned. We also rented several décor items- numerous chalkboard signs, reception table centerpiece decor, reception table numbers, wooden cupcake tiers, burlap aisle runner, etc. - and they were absolutely perfect as well. To all of the wonderful ladies at OBE that made our day absolutely beautiful, to Michelle for her patience and vision, thank you - my vision would not have come to life without you all!

Being an out-of-state bride is was really convenient to have a florist who had so much of the rustic decor I wanted that we could rent for the day. She definitely has an eye for design and knows what works best floral wise with your venue / theme - I would highly recommend!

wedding decor with me (Through and after her pregnancy). We had Michelle as our Day of Coordinator as well as our florist. I showed Michelle pictures from pintrist and she blew them out of the water with our Ceremony site, bouquets, and reception! The arbor she created for us was out of this world. Our families can be a bit difficult and Michelle was able to politely put them in their place without them knowing it lol. After the ceremony any time I turned around Michelle was there with a glass of wine for me and a beer for my husband :) She always kept us as her #1 priority!!! I can honestly say I don't know what I would have done with out Michelle and Occasions by Emily. Highly recommend!!!
