They were flexible & willing to work with us when we had to change our venue, alter our timeline, and reduce our guest count. They sent a service staff of all team leaders for our wedding reception, which made for amazing, above-and-beyond service. And the FOOD! The passed hors d'oeuvres, salads, and entree selections were all so delicious and memorable. Chef D and her team prepared us a truly excellent wedding day meal. Occasions was everything we could have asked for and more. We can't thank them enough for providing us the meal of our dreams on our special day.

ent Lynn a very specific recipe for a baked brussel sprout leaves salad which the chefs nailed! I’m so thankful I took her advice and added some passed hors d'oeuvres for all our guests last minute. I can’t say enough great things about the team at Occasions Catering! They are full of creative suggestions too if needed. The only thing I would have done differently is ordered our wedding cake from a company who specializes solely on cakes, everything else was absolutely perfect and delicious!

The only thing I would knock them on is that they were slow in bringing out the kids meals. Most of the kids ended up eating adult plates because it took so long to get to them. All in all it was a very good experience with Occasions and I would highly recommend them.

When we brought these issues to their attention afterwards, we received a litany of excuses and they blamed everyone from the event captain to the coordinator and other vendors. They had a lot of options for us to choose from, from food to decor, and so we were able to perfectly match the food to our wedding venue and vision. During the event they were punctual and professional. I also appreciated the sustainable efforts the company makes, from minimizing food waste to donating any extra meals. The cost of the package was perfect, and the quality we received was well above other caterers I was considering.

He was incredibly attentive and checked in personally with my husband and I several times. The food was delicious and we received so many compliments from our guests! Due to us being from out of town, she allowed our whole family to taste and allowed my husband and I to do a second tasting to ensure we were happy with our wedding menu selections. They are the perfect vendor for any theme, and they knocked our theme, Colorado Elegant out of the park. Make sure to get the elk sausage carving station and bacon wrapped dates for your cocktail hour, they were the biggest hits! Also, our guests and us could not have been any more impressed with their staff and operations. Everything was served on time and with the utmost professional manner. If you want a caterer who delivers, Occasions is that vendor for you!

Every other caterer we tasted with produced a boring and predictable combination of carbs and grease and cheese, and it all felt heavy but not satisfying. Occasions BLEW US AWAY. Our menu was everything I wanted and more, and we got so, so, so many compliments on the food on the day of! It was original, fresh, healthy, tasty, hearty… everything. Over 20 people told me how delicious it was and not a single one complained about the lack of meat. My hubby and I ate leftovers throughout the entire next day because we couldn’t get enough. If you are looking for a Denver caterer for your big event, I highly recommend talking to Occasions—you won’t regret it!

From our appetizers to dinner, every dish was absolute perfection and paired so well. The team at Occasions was incredible responsive, collaborative and professional as well, which provided us with peace of mind. All in all, when you can make 130 guests from San Diego & Chicago (many of which are foodies!), happy, you are definitely doing something right! Wish I could relive our dinner all over again. Cannot recommend Occasions enough!

rk completely. They didn’t bring the actual alcohol that I ordered, instead they brought the cheap stuff. I expected a nice French rosé and Moët and Chandon for my guests and myself to enjoy and instead they brought a no name Oregon rose and just California sparkling wine. The photographer had no idea the bottles were not what I wanted so now I have photos to remind me forever of the cheap wine I didn’t want on my once in lifetime fairytale day. They failed to set up the chairs for the ceremony with the right amount for our guests which lead to some of my guests having to stand while we were officiated, and what really pissed me off was the fact that Victoria the coordinator I had from occasions catering, set my head table for 12 when we had 18 sitting there. It was so awkward and embarrassing when we made our debut as husband and wife for the first time and ourselves and the entire bridal party had to stand while my dad gave his toast because we had to wait for the caterers to bring us more chairs and place settings. I was mortified. They really missed the mark and proved how unprofessional and unprepared they were for a 60 person wedding. I would never recommend them again. To top it all off the owner of this catering company called my mom a week later asking why she was so disappointed and when she told him the truth he raised his voice at her because he didn’t like the tone she took with him.

We were treated like their only client, knowing exactly how busy they really are! he best we ever had to be honest. We were very excited to book our wedding with Occassions Catering. When our wedding day came, we were very disappointed. They were supposed to bring our wedding party of 12 appetizers in our bridal suite and unfortunately only brought enough appetizer for 4 people. They didn’t have enough appetizers and steak for our guests. Additionally, after we cut our wedding cake - they were supposed to cut the rest of our cake in the kitchen and bring it back out for our guests. Once the cake went to the kitchen it never came back out and our cake topper went missing. So, our guests didn’t have cake. What kills me is our cake topper was a special gift to us and had sentimental value to us. To this day we still haven’t found our cake topper. We are very disappointed and sad. The food was delicious and they were so nice in the beginning, but when our special day came they really let us down. Our event designer Katie told us she would stop by the day of our wedding and she never showed up. Which was also very disappointing. It made us feel like she didn’t care about our special day. Also, her patience was running low closer to our wedding day and it was apparent. Weddings are such a stressful time and it didn’t help that once our important day came she was MIA and all these mishaps happen. We were counting on Occasions Catering to pull through to help make our day special. I really liked Katie and trusted her to make sure that our wedding day ran smoothly. Her not showing up was a huge disappointment and a slap in our face. She should have communicated to us that she wasn’t coming or should have sent someone else to make sure that things were running smooth. Honestly, Occasions Catering has great food and were awesome in the beginning, but they truly did let us down on our special day. Sadly, I regret booking with Occasions Catering and hope that people won’t make the same mistake we did. I recommend booking with another catering company that truly cares.

We were so glad we ended up choosing them because the night was wonderful. My only negatives were that the taco shells on the buffet fell apart (but it is difficult to mass produce stretchy corn tortillas), and there were times while I was planning that I was waiting for weeks for a reply email from the event coordinator (which ended up being no big deal).

After working with Occasions Denver I would recommend them to everyone planning a wedding.

ce. After I signed the contract, I found that they were not super fast with responding to my questions. They were very willing to work with me on what I wanted, and I felt comfortable moving forward. The food was delicious, the tables looked beautiful, the service staff including bartenders was outstanding. However, their management of the event had a lot of problems. They forgot to bring the frames that we were using for table numbers, so the tables didn't have numbers on them for quite awhile. The Event Coordinator went to get them, and no one could find her for awhile. The centerpieces were still being put on the tables when I sat down to dinner, despite the 3.5 hours for setup prior to the reception. Tables in the center of the room complained about not being released to the buffets. Tables on the balcony were never released to the buffets and wound up just going on their own after waiting half an hour. I had been told that all the guests would be through the buffet within 25 minutes. It didn't happen. The owner of the company came up and introduced himself to my husband and I... right as we were about to make our entrance to the reception. My husband was pretty irritated by that timing. I was told that the bridal party would be brought appetizers during the cocktail hour while we were waiting to be introduced. That only happened after I sent about three people to find someone to do so. When I got the appetizers, they were not what I had ordered and confirmed for the menu. I was also told that the bride and groom's table would be served their dinners by the staff. Only my husband and I were served, and only after they event coordinator was prompted. Following the event, communication has been very patchy. So, much of the night went really well. The food was awesome (got so many compliments), and the servers and bartenders were great. But the project management and execution of the event and follow up have definitely been a bit of a disappointment.

tasting...the fun part. We had a sampling of items we liked from their sample menu, and a couple things they made for us that were not on the menu. Everything tasted delicious. We loved the flavor of the flatiron steak but ended upgrading to a more tender cut since we love steak so much. We also had a delicious salmon dish and a few sides to go along. Working with Dana made the process very easy. Once we had the menu set, she took care of everything else. On our wedding day, their staff brought us appetizers so we wouldn't miss out on cocktail hour as we got a few photos with our family. My husband and I made it a point to set aside some time to actually eat our meal...and we were not disappointed. Their setup was beautiful as well- we did a seated salad, then served the entrees buffet-style. I have never seen such an elegant buffet before- it is not your traditional burners-below the chafing dish kind of display. We received so many compliments on our food. They even packed up the leftovers for us and we are still enjoying it! Everything was unbelievably delicious. The staff was also wonderful during the event. They set up everything perfectly and were very friendly to our guests. They worked great with our venue and other vendors, and had a seamless execution. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Occasions Catering!

l. The value is awesome. Joshua, our sales person, was so helpful! We corresponded and he kept me in the loop the whole way through. I had to change our agreement twice and he was very patient with me. The only thing is the linens were not included, so make sure to clarify the separate linen costs (I received a surprise in the mail after our wedding...whoops!). But, our caterer was able to use my wedding planner's discount at Event Rents so that brought the cost down as well. I will be recommending Occasions always, and will definitely use them again if I have another event.

The presentation of the food was also beautiful. Joshua from Occasions by Sandy was a lifesaver. When we ran out of certain supplies, he ran out and picked them up for us, during the reception. He made sure everything came together and all of our wishes were met. We really enjoyed working with him.

our flower arrangements and they looked very good! Cons: Right before the wedding when we were getting final number and costs sorted out, Ashley was hard to get a hold of. It took several messages and calls to even get a hold of her. I assume she was busy with other weddings but it's not fun as a bride a couple weeks from your wedding not being able to get in contact with your caterer. On the day of the wedding, despite a clear schedule including when to start food, it took almost an hour past to finally get the food out and the food line started. As our reception place has strict guidelines about time we could be there, it severely cut into dancing time. Everything after lunch was more rushed. Overall, great food and a good price for Denver caterers but be careful about making sure your caterer is going to follow through with your schedule or the day could be stressful!
