I got married here April 13th 2024! What an amazing and beautiful venue. I truly couldn't have asked for better! Everyone at the venue was super accommodating and I came multiple times to visit and plan my floor plan. At an extra cost I also rented the facility the day before my wedding for set up and rehearsal. I really appreciated the DIY aspect of everything to truly make it my own.
The wedding day was absolutely beautiful and perfect. I will forever be grateful for this venue and the people there. Thank you guys over and over!!!!!

I absolutely love how beautiful the Vin is but there are a few minor issues and one major problem. The venue is not cheap. I paid $7500 to rent the venue. I set up the day before and the day of my wedding. Everything was good to go. We started the margarita machines I had no clue that it would throw their breakers off when they were plugged in at the bar on one side of the building and the second bar on the other side of the building we had two margarita machines going I rented those that cost $1000 then I had over $1000 in margaritas I personally the bride do not drink margaritas unless they are frozen. We were unable to freeze them so all margaritas had to be on the rocks because if we did freeze them, it was tripping the breaker that is an electrical issue with the venue and I don’t believe that was fair it almost ruined my way, that is what I drink. I don’t care for much other alcohol so I had to change the course of what I was gonna drink because I hate margaritas on the rocks. We wasted running renting margarita machines because we couldn’t even use them. I did let the venue know that our margaritas were not able to be frozen and they didn’t offer any kind of compensation or disregarded the fact I had spent thousands of dollars on a renting of margarita machines and the actual margaritas themselves had I known we weren’t able to have margaritas frozen. I would’ve only chosen beer and a few signature drinks that was super disappointing for me as the bride secondly I did not realize that there was no deposit that was going to be refunded, but that’s not a major problem that is minor. My main issue was a margaritas, and then the disregard for how crappy the situation was Cindy is awesome to work with. The only other minor issue is no stay at the actual venue, but that is for her liability issues and I understand that. besides the waist of a couple thousand dollars on the margaritas I would’ve given them a 10 star but due to the fact that I had to waste right at $2000 on margaritas and margarita machines, and the cleanup and the headache with them all, and didn’t even get to use them is extremely upsetting, other than that and beautiful let me also add it was not either of the margarita machines. It was the actual venue that would not allow them to freeze without tripping the breaker. We should’ve been notified weeks before our wedding to let us know that Margarita machines use too much power, but we were a lot it could’ve saved me a lot of money as weddings are already expensive, and that is super unsettling

Loved our venue! There was a bridal house and grooms house. The grounds were kept very clean and maintained. There were fresh flowers and greenery at the wedding provided by the owner. (we did buy our own flowers) The owners were very easy to work with and made sure our needs were met. The owners own a local greenery, so we had the option of picking out additional foliage to place around the grounds and venue. The reception hall was huge! lots of room for tables and dancing. We had a total of 15 tables and a long bridal table, with room to spare. The ceremony space was beautiful at sunset with the tree and pond in the background. The benches were cleaned before guests arrived. Amazing backgrounds for pictures, including an old truck, barn and other rustic farm things. Nothing but positive comments to say about this venue.

The venue is beautiful! It's a perfect location for a country wedding. It rained on my wedding day and their Plan B had everything turn out amazing. My motto the day of was "it is what it is..." Everyone more than enjoyed themselves and it turned out better than I expected. There's an onsite cabin that you can rent out and stay the night in before and after. We didn't and I wished we had considered it for the night before.
The staff, from what I heard after the fact, wasn't terribly helpful in sweeping and setting up the chairs. When I drove up, I saw a mess of people running around but didn't pay too much attention to it. Maybe because they were short staffed that day...? Who knows. But Jodi Gentry is the event coordinator and she's a sweetheart. She'll typically always call you back within a day or two. She also texts, too.

What I loved about this place was the ceremony site under the oak tree for one, the price, the outdoor environment, the rustic charm and Jodi. If you use Old Bison you will work with Jodi to set up dates and things..She is super sweet and always calls you back if she misses your call. I was very concerned about the location and my guests getting lost but we put up a few signs to help them along the way and everything worked out fine. Old Bison supplies "wedding" signs as well, I noticed them when we were putting ours up. I was unaware that they normally do that. This venue is perfect for 40 guests or 200...it can accommodate a ton of people. There are so many aspects to the venue that decorating can seem overwhelming but the venue speaks and "decorates" for itself. There really is no need to add much else to it. I loved it and am SO happy we chose Old Bison. They do not supply a day of coordinator, so that was an issue for me, I wanted a calm care free day, so I had to hire one from elsewhere. How I would describe it is you pay for the venue and they basically give you the keys and you do with it what you want...I also had to hire clean up crew because that too was not provided.I would 100% recommend this place if you want to be very involved in your wedding. It is not for someone who wants an all inclusive. Just a side note about the atmosphere..a cow mooed during our ceremony...it was awesome!

Bev was great to work with. Being able to get free flowers and plants from the greenery in addition to the already beautiful landscape of the ranch was amazing. If an outdoor wedding with trees is what you want go to old bison!

Loved the old bison ranch! They were so helpful and cooperative. They let us borrow anything we wanted from the greenery to use for the ceremony and reception. The venue is absolutely beautiful!

Bev is great ! She answers your every question and allows you to use the venue for photos or meetings with vendors (pending there is no event that day). She works with you on budget and a payment plan. Their beautiful venue is perfect on its own. But they also own The Greenery and you are allowed to use their plants/iron works to decorate for your wedding as long as they are returned. Also best part is there is staff there during the wedding/reception to maintain the property but no one is hovering over you watching your every move.

This is a wonderful location! Very Rustic and authentic! The people are great and help with anything you need. There is three different locations to have the ceremony all at one main location. They also have a cabin there for the Bridal party to get ready in, that you can rent for Wedding night, which we did! I cannot say enough good about this place and people! Totally worth the money! I would use them again in a heartbeat!!! Candi Houdek (married Aug 14, 2010)
