I've always loved OWW since I was a little girl. So when I decided to go rustic for my wedding, these guys were high on my list.
Booking was a breeze and I was well taken care of, until about 2 months before my wedding.
I was informed that t...hey decided not to renew the contract with the official catering company and would be taking over the bar services, but I had to call them to find out after my catering company informed me during my final order with them. This was 2 months before the wedding, when the change happened over 6 months before. The woman I spoke with said that I would have gotten a call 3-4 weeks before. I'm sorry....3 weeks? That isn't NEARLY enough time, I have so many other things going on at that mark. It happened 6 months ago, you should have told me 6 months ago.
I was then bounced between 3-4 contacts at OWW regarding my set-up, which services I did or did not want, linen colors, beverages, etc, etc, etc. Except that every person that I talked to had something different in the contract. I didn't see a final contract with the correct items on it until the day before my wedding, at my rehearsal. (This, mind you, included my beer and wine choices. Scary.) Every person I talked to told me something different, no one seemed to be on the same page. So any answers I got from the head coordinator I was told were completely different policies from how the girls who actually run things. I could have booked that tent I wanted in case of rain (which it poured, BTW) 6 days before my wedding like I wanted, whereas I was originally told I couldn't because I waited too long, it had to be booked 2 weeks in advance.
The entire situation after the inital booking was so frustrating. Was it beautiful? Oh goodness yes. The barn was incredible, most of the staff was friendly, the photos in the village turned out great. But the headache that came along with it almost ruined the whole thing. Thank goodness it was inexpensive and beautiful.
