Marnie and the Staff at olde 41 are first class. Every question or issue was answered and resolved to make the day flawless. For the ones that worry about having an indoor wedding don’t. It was beautiful and amazing. Couldn’t thank everyone there enough for everything they did!
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding! Everything that day exceeded our expectations and we were so happy to work with Marnie, as she was so accommodating for us on our wedding day! Additionally, Lynn (the owner) was so thoughtful and kind and thankful for our business. We had such a fun day, with such a great venue!
We are overjoyed with our experience at Olde 41. Marnie was extremely helpful from the beginning of the planning process, and she kept great communication with us. We received so many compliments on the venue, and everything exceeded our expectations.
We booked Olde 41 for our wedding (during COVID) and the venue was perfect! Marnie, the coordinator on-site, is incredible and surpassed all our expectations with her guidance, support, professionalism, and exceptional service. She made sure everything was taken care of leading up to and the day of our wedding, and at the reception she routinely checked in on us and our families to make sure we didn’t need anything and that we were having a good time (she even got us our drinks when we arrived at the reception). During the planning process, Marnie was invaluable and suggested so many details that we would have overlooked or not thought of – she had ideas for clinking alternatives, table arrangements, and suggested a generations of love display (marriage photos from our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents) which everyone loved. At one of the meetings we had, we mentioned that we hadn’t heard back from one of our other vendors yet and she immediately contacted them herself to help. Marnie made wedding planning seem so simple and she was always quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and was always more than willing to meet if we had any questions. In terms of Olde 41, the venue is absolutely beautiful and our guests raved about it all night. Olde 41 has its own bathrooms, a main bar, a double-sided wood fireplace, and a separate seating area with high-top tables that was perfect for some of our guests that wanted to take a break from dancing in a quieter area. Even though it was winter, the creek behind the building was perfect for photos and had a paved patio area so my dress didn’t get covered in snow. Olde 41 was absolutely amazing and I cannot imagine a more perfect wedding day thanks to Marnie and her staff!
Absolutely amazing! This venue is top notch and would highly recommend to anyone. I couldn't imagine planning and replanning our wedding with any other venue (thanks covid). Marnie was so helpful and supportive during the entire process. We got married outside and had the reception in the Duck Blind, which is beautiful inside and out! We are so happy that we chose the Duck Blind at Olde 41
Thank you Marnie! We had our ceremony and reception here on December 19, 2020! Everything went so smooth even with being in the middle of a Pandemic and me and my new husband living on the other side of the state. Marnie made sure to touch base often and answer all our questions. The day was amazing and I can honestly say it was perfect! I wish it could have lasted forever! Thanks Marnie and Olde 41 for an unforgettable experience!
Marnie at Olde 41 was the best part of our wedding. She responded quickly to every question I emailed her. We had a “COVID wedding” on June 27, 2020, so there were a lot of weird new details to work out. She even made sure we had everything we needed on the day of, right down to beverages while we were finishing up pictures! She even went above and beyond to make sure that other details and vendors for our event were set. My florist ghosted me a few weeks before the wedding, and when I mentioned it to Marnie she texted every florist she knew and found me a replacement in hours. She was a pleasure to work with.
The venue at Olde 41 is beautiful too. There are huge tall ceilings with skylights and a gorgeous double fireplace. The layout is great. The bar is in the main room, so your guests don’t have to choose which room to hang out in or leave the party to get a drink. There is a side room of sorts that allows quieter conversations, and tons of outdoor space on the deck and patio. The river and great landscaping present awesome photo ops. We couldn’t have asked for a better reception experience and venue.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Olde 41 on 8.31.19. I can’t say enough positive things about the venue, staff, and Marnie! From the first time we met with Marnie and toured the venue, we knew immediately it was perfect. Marnie made sure our day was stress free and exactly what we wanted. She was accommodating to our requests and very organized and professional. Marnie made things so easy for us during the wedding process and we cannot thank her enough! We were blown away by her work and she truly cares about the couples. I would highly recommend Olde 41 to anyone who is looking for a unique, beautiful, satisfying wedding experience!
We truly have too many wonderful things to say about our wedding at Olde 41. From the get go, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, it also has all the rentals you’d need in one place making it a super convenient experience! The planning process itself could not have been easier with Marnie! She made sure our day was perfect and she continuously answered hundreds of emails I sent throughout the year leading up to our wedding. Not once did she ever make me feel like I was an annoyance or that she did not have time for our questions! I read other posts that mentioned added on expenses and fees and that was not the case for us at all. If you are up front and honest about all costs associated with the day, you will not have a problem and Marnie is very transparent about any costs associated with a wedding! Overall, we would highly recommend Olde 41 to anyone looking for a venue in the Green Bay area!
Marnie (the wedding planner at Olde 41) was absolutely fantastic! She helped me basically coordinate the whole day and make sure that all of my vendors knew when to be at Olde 41 so I did not have to add that to my list of things to do. She had everything ready to go and accommodated our huge wedding of 250 people! The wedding venue looked fantastic when we got there and everything was taken care of exactly how we discussed! She responded very quickly to my many emails and was very helpful even though she had an extremely busy schedule with all of her other events. I would highly recommend giving Olde 41 a look because our wedding day went without a hitch and we can't thank Marnie enough!!
Marnie (the wedding planner) was amazing and made everything go smoothly on our big day. We had our ceremony and reception at Olde 41 and thought it was a reasonable price especially for all the work Marnie did. She controlled unruly guests and helped us get a moment alone before dinner to just breathe and collect ourselves. Olde 41 was perfect for our day and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how perfect it was. We had 185 people and that seemed perfect, anymore and I feel like it would have been crowded for an indoor ceremony.
Such an amazing and beautiful place! The wedding coordinator helped with so many things! This place made wedding planning easy and stress free!! They are a huge blessing and a great memory in our marriage story!
Terrible experience.
1. Olde 41 double booked another event on our wedding day & did not communicate this to us. Rather, we found out the morning of the wedding when Marnie emailed the MOB, “Just wanted to give you a heads up that there is a lunch event here today at the dealership. I know you are coming for pictures and don't want the lunch event to conflict with that." Weeks before, I had emailed Marnie my timeline, which stated clearly that pictures were to begin at 1pm at the venue. She responded with "looks great" & did not mention anything about another event. This lunch event was setup in the area the pre-wedding pictures were being taken. So much for intimate wedding pictures - while we were doing the First Look, I had complete strangers from the event peering around the corner & taking pictures of us. It was also inconvenient when trying to maneuver around the loud band, tables, tents & people when we were setting up. When asking Marnie about this, her response was “You were not charged for coming in the building nor using the site for photos from 1pm and having a 4:30 ceremony." This was a confusing response as we were charged extra for the outdoor ceremony space & the contract says we get the space starting at 10am that day. This "lunch" event lasted until 3pm. As you can probably imagine, it is impossible to be calm & collected on your wedding day when another event is taking place in the area you paid for. It is even worse when Olde 41 could not apologize for the extreme inconvenience & lack of acceptable communication.
2. Olde 41 added 7.5 more hours of bartenders time than what was agreed upon & did not communicate this to us in advance. These surprise added costs seem like a common complaint by others. They also opened a bar window to the outside before the ceremony & charge you for the bartender’s time without asking you. Had I known this came with an extra cost, I would have said no way. Again, when discussing this with Marnie, her reply was bizarre: "If the bar window downstairs wasn't open for your guests' convenience, that staff member would have been upstairs." (...so we would have been charged for that staff member to do what?) Very poor communication on Marnie’s part. Be aware you will be charged more hours than you expect.
3. They forgot to make the late-night pizzas we had already ordered & paid for. Marnie did credit this amount off the bill, but I would have much rather had the pizzas made for my guests as I had originally planned & paid for. When we emailed Marnie after the wedding to tell her, her response was "it's too bad no one noticed that the pizzas were missing, they could have said something to the bartender." Sorry, the bride & groom had a few other things going on! This is why we paid (extra) for the bartenders, as it’s their job to keep track of these things as part of the service you’re providing! Another example of an extremely disappointing/unprofessional response from Olde 41.
4. In all fairness, I will mention we received a refund of $150 for the string of lights that hang up inside. Yes, you have to pay extra for these lights in an otherwise dark indoor setting. Although the lights are always hanging, they will actually take them down for free. If you want to leave them up, you pay $150. When we asked about removing most of the motorcycle photos hanging inside, Marnie's reply was "You pay for the room, not the décor." Yet you do pay for the lights if you want to leave them up.
I would highly recommend Olde 41 to any bride looking for a beautiful rustic setting. We had our wedding upstairs and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Marnie was a huge part of that, allowing my relatives to come in early to set up as well as helping with the set up process. We had a couple of requests that Marnie helped make sure worked on our day. She was always willing to meet or allow me to stop in to visualize something I was uncertain about. She was very flexible in allowing us to make changes a couple days before the wedding. Guests still can't stop raving about how wonderful our venue was!
Marnie is excellent at what she does and Olde 41 is the most amazing venue ever..so rustic, elegant, the beams, ahhh!!
We were thrilled to have our wedding reception at the Olde 41. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and we received a lot of compliments from our wedding guests. Marie was a dream to work with. She was very prompt and helpful with answering all of our questions, understanding what we wanted for our wedding, and making sure that everything went exactly as we envisioned it. I would definitely recommend this venue to other brides and grooms - but make sure you book far enough in advance as this location gets booked fairly quickly!
Wedding planner was great, but they clearly took liberal advantage of prices subject to change. $10,000 wedding had $5-7,000 added in hidden fees, taxes, and "venue improvements". There is are expensive hidden charges for everything and you are at the mercy of the venue. Day of wedding wanted 200 dollars to move chairs outside to inside, 800 dollars in hidden taxes/fees, and 100 dollars to play 10 minute slideshow. Stay away unless you like to overpay for your wedding
We recently had a winter wedding here and it was beautiful. The event coordinator was great to work with and made everything run smoothly. The ambiance of this place is fantastic and it looked amazing when it was decorated for the occasion. Bar staff were great, too!
