In our first meeting with Christine, I fully understood why she was going to be so valuable. She listened to what our design goals were and immediately conceptualized the vibe we were going for. She also provided us with a clear outline for the next year of planning, step-by step. After that first call, my husband and I immediately felt at ease about the entire planning and design process. Christine has the vision to take a single inspiration photo and turn it into a complete concept. Her eye for every little detail is unlike anyone else in the wedding business. She is an artist at her core, but is so organized and runs a TIGHT ship when it comes to the logistics. Every vendor we chose to work with knew Christine and constantly would tell us “Oh, you are working with the best, she’s awesome”. Our day was flawless from start to finish and I can confidently say that it was all due to Christine’s thorough planning. The most important thing I can say about Christine is that she is passionate about what she does. I met with other planners before Christine and what sets her apart is that she truly cares about her couples and making their wedding day being perfect. No matter how big or how small. If you take nothing else from this review, the photos of me seeing the reception room, seeing my vision come to life should speak for themselves. Not many planners can say their brides cried just as much at the reception room as they did at their ceremony.

I firmly believe that solid planning is the key to avoiding stress, and thanks to Christine, that was absolutely the case for Tom and me. It was no surprise to me that my hunch was correct. Christine was so organized with the vendors – she sent out multiple emails to each of our vendors (15+) leading up to the event. Due to her tireless effort to be on top of everything for us, there were a couple instances where she corrected our vendors on details (for example, they were planning to show up at the wrong time). Her performance on wedding day was everything I hoped and more. Besides the fact that the day went perfectly and according to plan down to the minute on her timeline, Christine’s demeanor and guidance on the actual day was very comforting for me and my wife. Truthfully, my only regret is that we didn’t do the full package and that I literally didn’t hire her the day after I got engaged. She was worth every single penny and then some.

I never waited longer than a few hours for a response to email and texts were almost always returned immediately. She made recommendation that I had never even thought of. (Highly recommend the last dance idea) and was very honest with me when I had ideas that she felt would not compliment the day. In full transparency, I asked her recommendations on just about everything. I liked that she gave me the pros and cons of everything we discussed and respected my decisions. Most importantly, Christine was my biggest ADVOCATE when it came to working with vendors. What I found was that many vendors had conflicting ideas (all great, btw) of what our day should look like, but did not necessarily fall in line with what I was hoping for. Christine communicated on my behalf to make sure they knew what my dream day looked like AND made sure they listened. I am very type A and pride myself on being a planner. Christine take this to the next level. Literally, the entire day was planned down to the minute. Her experience really prevented any roadblocks. The day of our wedding there were a few minor hiccups, but I did not learn of them until after my honeymoon as they had been taken care of on my behalf. The team really take the time to get to know you and your preferences which is why they knew exactly how I would have wanted to handle any potential challenges. Basically, I want to plan a second wedding just to do it all again with Christine. She is a DREAM and you will be in great hands!

She set up everything and packed up at the end of the night. She thought of a lot of things that I never even thought to ask or think of and I really don't know how the day would have turned out if we didn't have her. gs out of our control go awry. I was approached a few times during my big day saying how I was a very stress free bride, I owe that all to Christine!! I was able to enjoy the day, talk to all our guests, get all the photos we wanted and stick to our timeline. I could not have imagined how many small details go into a wedding and Christine helped me manage them all. The night before our wedding we realized we didn't have the unity candles for our ceremony and she took it upon herself to get them for us without missing a beat. Our wedding parties, photography team, bakery, DJ and venue raved about getting to work with Christine and even said their days leading up to the wedding and the big day were a breeze because of her. I do not have enough good words to say. She took care of us like she was our longest friend and took care of business like the boss woman she is :) You will not regret hiring Olive & Ivory Event Design.
