etting compliments on our spread. We did a stations set up, which provided our guests with a variety of cuisines and gave them the freedom to go back for more (and more and more...). It was a huge hit! We also had passed appetizers during cocktail hour, which helped to elevate the event. The entire staff was extremely professional and were very attentive. Kim even personally delivered my husband and I's food to the head table so we would be able to eat. We worked with Ashley in the planning phases, and she was always on top of her game. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was exactly how we wanted it. She coordinated rentals as well. It was very clear to us how passionate they are about their company and their clients. I would recommend Olive Events over and over again!

e the wedding, we were in a bit of a panic. We had a meeting with a well-known caterer in Kansas City & Olive. Kim and her team listened so well to what we wanted - something unique, but delicious. They presented several options to us and made last-minute changes that we requested. The tasting was one of our favorite parts about wedding planning at their beautiful space. Service was very important to us, and their team blew it out of the water. They had more than enough staff to host our 200+ person event and weeks later people are still raving about the food (filet with lobster, shrimp, béarnaise sauce, mashed potatoes and asparagus YUM!!!). They made one of the biggest planning parts of our wedding a complete breeze. I would get married again and again just to experience their service and incredibly crafted food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this boutique and luxurious team!!

your standard wedding catering fare. After a tasting, where the flavors fully delivered on the impressive menu ideas listed online, we were sold. They worked with us to design a plated dinner that showcased us as a couple and hit our likes and avoided our dislikes. The food was absolutely excellent and I'm still beyond impressed they managed to perfectly cook scallops for our nearly 40 guests who ordered them! It was also very important to me that our vegan/vegetarian guests got something actually good and interesting to eat, and Olive came up with a dish that made all those guests excited and taken care of. The team, led by Kim, was great and always extremely communicative and clear. They were great about adjustments we requested right down to days before our wedding. The serving team onsite was extremely professional and on top of things. Overall, I have only good things to say and Olive would definitely be my first choice for catering for any future events.

We were able to talk through which foods we wanted to offer to be our Hors D'oeuvres for cocktail hour and then we were able to make a personalized dinner menu and dessert menu to fit our personalities with a twist of the Spring Season. The day of the wedding her team executed flawlessly- They were very quick to get all of our guests served and also stayed on top of guests needs. because our tasting meeting absolutely blew my husband and I away (I mean, I would drive all the miles in the world to have their truffle mac n cheese). From the first meeting, the Olive team asked us what our favorite restaurant and menu item was in Kansas City and they dreamt up the most amazing buffet and hors d'oeuvres menu for us that was enjoyed by all. And not only enjoyed by all, my husband and I heard from probably 50 guests it was the best wedding meal they've ever had - one quote was, "you crushed the food game." From mouthwatering sriracha chicken to pesto salmon to their incredible steak skewers that's one of their staples, the mains were top notch. But not only that, we had such great side items that a few of our vegetarians friends commented it was the best dinner they had experienced at a wedding. And, Kelsey, our catering coordinator, was a dream to work with! When we tasted our wedding day menu two months out, Kelsey was attentive to our asks (asking about our VIPs, what my husband and I wanted to eat, etc) but she has the most bubbly personality that fit right into how we wanted our wedding to be. Overall, Olive is top notch and if they ever opened up a restaurant I would never leave - seriously, I would expect a booth to have my name on it because I would only go there. We ate our wedding leftovers for days after and even then it was SO good. Thank you, Olive, for making our wedding the #foodieexperience we wanted and for blowing everyone away with your culinary expertise.

The Event Planner, Kelsey organized everything for my big day. She wears a lot of hats and works extremely hard for her clients. She executed everything perfectly! My guests have been talking about the food for days after my wedding. If you don't have the truffle mac&cheese on your menu, add it now! Also, the shrimp and grits were to die for. Everything they serve is top notch. I highly recommend Olive to all of my friends and clients and I will forever remember how amazing they were for my big day. I want to do it all over again! ! Actually, they were perfect!! Kelsey was great during the planning. She was energetic, fun and enthusiastic to work with. Her experience and creativity were evident in the suggestions and directions she gave us. I feel she got to know Jeanie and I and then custom tailored our menu to fit our personalities, style and participants. Her suggestions for dinner stations and hors d'oeuvres were right on point. The quality of the food was incredible! We had many, many unsolicited compliments from our guests on the deliciousness of the food! From the salad shakers that kept the kids going back for more salad if you can imagine, to the variety on the stations, the whole set-up was perfect. When Kelsey learned we had some younger kids attending, she recommended ‘happy meal’ type boxes for them that were a big hit and much appreciated by the parents. Kelsey brought a big team with her and the service was great! They were professional, experienced, pleasant and always available when needed. They handled the food set-up, serving, cake service and table clean-up professionally, perfectly and unobtrusively. They did an excellent job! I mentioned compliments from our guests earlier. This was my favorite. “ Those were the best crab cakes I have ever tasted . . . and, I’m from Maryland!” I enthusiastically recommend Kelsey and Olive Events for your wedding and other special events!! They helped make our reception very special!

They are very creative and adaptable to what you like. The food was amazing!! Our guests even commented on the salads--but the truffle mac and cheese was the hit of the night!

Probably some of the most amazing food I had ever had! Additionally, I had no idea what was going to happen with anything that was left over, I did not realize that they packaged up the few leftovers that we had! This is probably a standard service, but I felt like it was above and beyond! Our family and friends will be raving about this food for a long, long time! salad, three mains and a couple sides. Now, after the tasting we figured the truffle mac & cheese was going to be the favorite. Nope. There was no clear favorite. Everyone at our wedding, ALL 150 PEOPLE, commented on how much they loved the food but it was a crap shoot on which thing they preferred. Some loved the meatballs, others the fried chicken with mashed potato bites, or the skewered beef tenderloin, or the chicken spiedini........ Sure, Kelsey was easy to work with and she communicated with the venue to get all the little details worked out so we didn't have to mess with it. Sure, they had a ton of great ideas for foods and were really flexible. And yes, the servers were all SUPER polite and professional (we got positive comments on that too)...but what really matters is how the food tastes. Wow. So good. It's been two weeks since our wedding and I'm still thinking about that damned mac & cheese. I miss it.

Olive Events was so sweet in accommodating my husband’s request of a Southern Menu. Shrimp and Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes, Brisket, and that Parmesan Mac and Cheese! My only wish is I could have all that food all over again 😊. I would highly recommend them for any event!

We had a couple tasting where they aided us in our selection of entrées apps, etc... They were very knowledgeable in food, selection, presentation, etc... and they couldn't have been more enjoyable in working through the process. The food on both evenings tasted great and received rave reviews from our guests. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an events catering company.

ate a creative and yummy menu for our budget, however there were mistakes in the estimate that were not caught until a few weeks before the wedding; they had removed all the water glasses & plates & other items to hit the budget, so all those items had to be added back in, adding a lot of unexpected cost. Our hot food was not served hot which was disappointing. They only cut 1 of 3 flavors of cake which was disappointing and a waste of amazing cake! Our bride & groom 'to go' boxes were not what was requested, so we were very hungry that night after our big day! Menuing was amazing, food was great but hot food would have been much better hot, & there were avoidable things we felt should not have happened given how highly they were recommended.

Their communication was lacking up front, but we went off others reviews who said the food was wonderful and we were so glad we did.
