Omni Barton Creek is the BEST place to have your wedding in Austin. Sara Suprise helped me every step of the way and made sure that all my dreams came true on my wedding day. She knows what she is doing when it comes to weddings and assisted me with menu tasting, vendor recommendations, and the wedding planning timeline! She was very quick to respond to any questions I had and had good relationships with my wedding planner and other vendors, which made the day of so easy. The service was incredible and the food was so tasty. If you're looking for a venue that will take care of you and set you up for success and smooth sailing on your wedding day then look no further!
Also, can we just talk about how BEAUTIFUL the resort itself is?
The service and beauty of the Omni were beyond our expectations! My daughter had the wedding of her dreams. Due to Covid issues the staff had to be extremely creative, flexible and quick thinking as the government restrictions were changing daily. They made us all feel like we were the most important guests they had ever hosted. We even ended up having the rehearsal dinner on the beautiful outdoor grounds- in July and the weather was cool and breezy. Everything about the wedding weekend was perfection and believe me it was not without great effort by the Omni staff! We highly recommend this venue for a beautiful wedding.
The Barton Creek Resort is as close to perfection as possible. Henry is amazing. He is intelligent. He knows what you are talking about and will make it happen. He is accommodating. You didn’t like some aspect of the tasting menu, Henry will make sure they change it. And he is friendly and approachable. He is a huge asset to the Barton Creek. And being so down to earth and charming, I’m willing to bet, he is very popular with the mothers!
As for the venue, the pavilion is so unique. With its glass walls, you get the feel of an outdoor wedding without worrying about the weather.
The reason I do say close to perfection is that there were a few minor issues – to the degree that only more…let’s just say involved brides would be bothered by. A lightbulb did fall from the ceiling and crash onto the dance floor while we were entering our reception. And one of the bartenders was not the most polite with my sister and me when we asked for shots. (Apparently, they don’t do shots at the Barton Creek, but either I never knew or it slipped my mind.) These are the little snafus that aren’t worth sweating about and did not really affect my wedding day, but did cause me a few seconds of anxiety.
Any questions?
The entire team at Omni Barton Creek made my wedding day a truly spectacular event. It's definitely one of the more expensive options for Austin wedding venues, but in my opinion it was worth every penny. My catering manager (Whitney Hodges) was simply flawless. Her attention to detail, professionalism and enthusiasm set the bar high for all of my wedding vendors. It should come as no surprise that many of my vendors were recommended by Barton Creek ... and they were all fantastic.
I cannot thank Whitney and the rest of her incredible staff enough for making my wedding day everything that I've always dreamed it would be! The resort managed to create a very memorable wedding weekend for all of our guests, most of whom are still raving about what an amazing time they had :)
We had our wedding at the Omni Barton Creek Resort. Everything turned out great, honestly even better than we ever could have imagined!
Henry was the representative from the Omni that we worked with. He was amazing! This venue was super convenient for us because we don't live in Austin. We were able to get the venue, hotel block, golf, catering, bar, and cakes all from the Omni. It made my life a lot easier to just pick thru their wedding packages and work with only Henry for all of these services.
The food was great!! We did food stations, with yes the mac and cheese bar! We also did two cakes from them and they were delicious and absolutely stunning!
Obviously the venue is stunning, and the staff had excellent service for our wedding night and for the whole weekend with all of our guests staying at the resort. I would highly recommend this venue to others!
My wedding experience with the Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa was amazing! I can not say enough good things about our on site coordinator, Henry Uribe. Henry was extremely helpful from the initial tour of the site to the wedding weekend itself. He got back to me quickly when I had questions and made my dream wedding possible. He was able to fulfill all our requests and allowed me to enjoy being a bride without having to be a bridezilla. The venue was beautiful, the customer service was fantastic, and we get compliments from guests on the food served all the time. The bell staff and dining staff was extremely helpful on our wedding weekend. Erica Ademski helped to book all our guests' rooms and was amazingly friendly and professional. Henry's manager was also very accommodating and easy to work with. I am so thankful I chose the Omni Barton Creek for our wedding and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. Can't wait to come back and visit!
My wedding was honestly the most perfect and wonderful day of my life. Barton Creek did such a wonderful job at making sure everything went smoothly and that everything was in place and perfect. Henry Uribe was my onsite coordinator, and he was amazing! I truly could not have asked for a better experience. It was stress free and wonderful
I would give this place 10 stars if I could! The food, service, ambiance, etc. was perfect. They catered to anything we needed and provided us with surprises! Loved this place. The pavilion room is beautiful for a reception!
I have hosted corporate events at this venue so knew I could trust them to deliver great food, great service, and a beautiful setting, and they totally exceeded expectations. Our guests raved about the rooms, the site, the food, the staff, everything!
Planning was easy with the help and guidance from Whitney Hodges. She has to be the best person to work with in Austin. If I called or emailed, she always responded quickly and efficiently.
Since we were planning the wedding from out of town, Barton Creek was our first stop in the process. From there we visited several locations and nothing came close to Barton Creek's location, hospitality, amenities, and overall experience.
From the tasting (that Whitney was able to work in during the week of Thanksgiving), to working out our guest count, final layout, meeting with various vendors (including my planner on multiple occasions), storing some items for the wedding once we arrived to Austin and all the other fabulous tasks that Whitney handled with the utmost professionalism, this was the best experience ever.
To the remaining army of awesome people who make Barton Creek such an amazing place by arranging the guys golf outing, handing out welcome bags, valet and bellmen handling multiple luggage carts of STUFF to and from cars, our own area in the Hill Country Dining Room the morning after for folks to meet for breakfast, the AMAZING food, incredible landscape, the staff at Barton Creek is without a doubt the best in the business.
All of our guests stayed at Barton Creek and they expressed to us on many occasions that the facility was more than they expected.
P.S. Whitney is so amazing, she even worked out 75 degree temps for my wedding weekend, just days after another one of Austin's ice storms. Where else could you find that level of service?!
Such a beautiful and awesome weekend at Barton Creek. Lisa Pritchett, our contact at Barton Creek, was amazing and literally a friend. The food, the location, the property...everything was flawless. We received so many comments about how perfect everything was.
I had my reception in the Pavilion at Barton Creek and it was stunning! I wanted the look of an outdoor wedding without having to worry about weather, and Barton Creek made it happen. The patio view was gorgeous and the building itself required very little decor to turn into a romantic and naturally beautiful venue. The food was amazing! I could not get enough of it at our menu tasting, and when I didn't have time to each much at the reception, there were to-go boxes waiting for my husband and I in the room. I can't wait to eat more of that cake in a year :-) The service was great and Lisa really took care of us. She was so flexible with meeting with me and she did a great job coordinating things with our wedding planner. Arranging a room block was a bit challenging, but I know all our guests loving going from the awesome reception to the bar and safely up to their rooms. Barton Creek definitely made my wedding exactly what I wanted it to be.
We don't live in Austin, so the most important things to us as we searched for a venue were a) a beautiful hotel and b) delicious food. Barton Creek Resort & Spa provided both in addition to amazing service (ask for Lisa in catering and sales!) and a beautiful backdrop for our wedding vows. I cannot say enough about the service Lisa provided - she responded to every email within the same day (if not within the same hour). She was prompt, she was courteous, unflaggingly patient - she helped me make decisions about local vendors based on her experience, she fielded questions from a mom-zilla and an involved matron of honor, and even printed out my special table numbers and put them in frames the morning of the wedding when time had escaped me.
The next best thing: the food. While we're used to over-the-top cocktail hours in the Northeast, you're not going to get that at Barton Creek. (Anything more that 2 or three hors d'oeuvres is an add-on, so wasn't used to that.) However, the food is delicious - my guests raved about the meal, even the vegetarian option.
The only word of caution I would give is that if you choose one of their packages, there are a lot of add-on's that cost extra - again, the extra hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails...they even charged to deliver our welcome bags. All that said, if I could do it over, I would have my wedding at Barton Creek again. The staff (thank you, Lisa!) made our wedding amazing - delish food, superior service. Well, well worth it.
I used Barton Creek for my ceremony & reception. Both were amazing and well organized. I worked with Lisa and she was always available to answer my questions and was willing to provide any service I needed or recommend someone who could if she wasn't able to. We were also able to have the bridal room at any point during the day of, which is more important than I realized. During the reception Justin was in charge and kept everything on time and everything ran so smoothly. The food was great and I have had nothing but compliments from my guests. I am so incredibly glad we chose Barton Creek.
Barton Creek was a beautiful place for a spring wedding. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside on the hill country veranda with great views out over the golf course and hill country. Our event coordinator was very helpful in organizing all of the set up materials, vendor deliveries and bridal party for ceremony entrance. She even sewed on a button from an ushers tux minutes before the ceremony! However, there was a lack of communication among other staff members throughout the evening resulting in missing taxis and my groom and I being dropped off at a random place at the resort because our golf cart driver didn't know what room we were staying in.
Barton Creek provided the most amazing night of my life. They were very flexible with everything we wanted. We also had the rehearsal dinner there the night before in their gorgeous pavillion. I highly recommend this wonderful place for a wedding!
I knew I was going to have my wedding at Barton Creek the second we turned onto Barton Creek Road and saw the beauty of Texas Hill Country. As out-of-staters (but Texas natives) my husband and I knew we wanted to show off the beauty of Austin to all of our out of town guests, as well as pick a place that would be a comfortable place for all of our guests to stay.
We chose to throw our wedding reception in the newly-remodeled pavilion, which also has a beautiful veranda with a great view. I was a little intimidated at first, because our wedding guest list was on the smaller side and I didn't know if we could make the venue feel cozy and romantic because it is such a big space. From the moment I met my future coordinator Lisa, she made my parents and I feel like everything would be taken care of - onsite coordinating, all catering and drinks, the cakes, a lot of the decor...everything would be taken care of. She gave me ideas for churches closeby, a preferred vendor list, and answered my millions of questions before we even decided to book our wedding date. Little did I know that was just tip of the iceberg on the things Lisa would help me with in the next year - room blocks, luncheons, golf tournaments, every aspect of the wedding, food tastings - Lisa made it so easy for me to plan a wedding from out of state, and she always put my mind at ease. The wedding weekend turned out to be even better than we all expected, with impeccable food, service, staff, and the venue was just beautiful and enchanting. It was a dream come true.
The actual hotel rooms are sooooo comfortable, with gorgeous views and modern amenties. My parents were automatically upgraded to a room in the "tower" portion of the hotel, which I really appreciated. My husband and I were treated to a honeymoon suite with champagne, chocolate covered stawberries, and leftovers from our reception. The actual suite was HUGE with a panaramic view from the balcony of the entire property. Everything was just perfect.
I cannot say enough good things about our experience, and can't wait to celebrate future special occasions at Barton Creek.
Fabulous wedding venue! It was my dream wedding - and beyond. Beautiful, accommodating, professional, PERFECT!
I had my wedding reception at Barton Creek Resort and Spa in the Pavilion. Not only was it absolutely stunning, everything was done so perfectly. Kristin Crawford was our event planner and she was beyond great. Her knowledge and experience was very impressive, and her attention to all details as well as her ability to make you feel very taken care of and comfortable. I can't recommend this venue enough. The food was out of this world, and the service was impeccable. I honestly can't say enough good things. Everything was absolutely outstanding.
I highly recommend Barton Creek Resort for a wedding venue. Their covered Pavilion was the perfect setting for the ceremony, with glass doors open to the scenic Hill Country. The cocktail hour venue was open and airy, leading our guests into the magnificently lit ballroom for the reception with fabulous food, very detailed and delicious cakes, and great service. The staff handles all the details so you can enjoy your special day!
The hotel boasts a top rated spa, the best golf courses in Texas(4), nature trail, and nice restaurants and bars. Our guests made the trip a 3 day weekend and told us they loved the resort and couldn't wait to come back. The only complaint was that it was over too soon!
From start to finish, I was so pleased with Barton Creek Resort. They handled any issue with ease. All of my guests continuously talked about how beautiful the resort and Austin Hill country were. The reception was just so authentic and exactly how I pictured it to be. You won't regret getting married here!
Service was great
We decided to have our reception at Barton Creek because of the beautiful setting. The coordinators were wonderful and were able to answer all our questions. The food was excellent, especially the cakes!!
Kristin at Barton Creek was very helpful with my wedding. On the big day we had wonderful weather and the setup that her team did looked amazing. I was very happy with the venue, the rooms, and the service we received.
We decided to get married at Barton Creek because it held sentimental value for my husband and me. We wanted a small, intimate wedding and reception and the Palm Court room was perfect.
The staff at Barton Creek were so helpful and everything was top notch quality. The only think that we can say negative was that a few expenses were not shared with us until after we were pot committed. For example a coat room attendant charge and holiday surcharges were not shared with us despite the fact that our date was always on a holiday and in winter. But most everything else was completely upfront and we cannot say enough about the service, the amenities, the convenience of doing all of the catering through the resort and having the reception and the wedding in the same room.
I had my wedding reception at Barton Creek Resort and Spa in February, 2010 and it was truly amazing. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing! Jennifer Dilworth was an incredible resource and was so very on top of everything down to the tiniest detail. Any time I had a question or change it was answered or taken care of the same day. Her client service was outstanding throughout the entire process and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything just as we wanted it to be. Words cannot describe how I felt when I walked into the Governor's Ballroom the night of our wedding! Everything looked so special and went even smoother than I could have hoped for. It was perfect! My guests also enjoyed the resort very much. I am still receiving compliments on how nice the entire experience was. Thank you Jennifer and Barton Creek!!!
Barton Creek was absolutely wonderful the second I contacted them. Jennifer was who helped us out through the entire wedding. She helped make our wedding planning easy and fun. Jennifer was always prompt and very insightful.
The entire weekend of our wedding was a fantasy. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were so comforting. At our reception, the staff was close by our side when needed to make sure we had everything. It was the best night of my life.
We had our wedding reception in the Governor's Ballroom in November 2010. This place is amazing! Due to weather concerns with an outdoor venue, we switched wedding sites one week before our date! (Yes, we are crazy.) We were so lucky to discover that Barton Creek had availability. Many might think it's not possible to plan a wedding reception for 160 in 3 days, but Jennifer at Barton Creek arose to the challenge. They responded to emails almost immediately and we had a lay out, menu, and time line in no time. Barton Creek is a one-stop shop, they do it all. They were accommodating to every request and need. On the day of our wedding, we were both stress free. Kristin and Veronica made the night go perfectly. I didn't have to worry about any details, because everything was planned and perfect. We felt like royalty and enjoyed our wedding more than I thought I ever would.
It was all that we could have ever hoped for plus more. I wish we would have booked here originally and we would have had a stress free engagement.
Barton Creek Resort & Spa made our wedding weekend as close to perfect as possible. Everything really was beautiful and it's thanks to all of the hard work of Jennifer Dilworth and the rest of the BC staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and bent over backwards to help in any way needed. Everything went as planned and I was never worried that something wouldn't get done. They all did an amazing job.
Every bit of feedback I have gotten from everyone at the wedding has been positive. I haven't heard one complaint. Everyone loved the food and cake. I personally appreciated the food in the room after the wedding. I didn't get to eat the hors d'oeuvres because we were taking pictures and they had some in our room waiting for us after the wedding. They were so delicious with the champagne (after I could get out of that wedding dress and kick off my shoes). I really appreciated the little details like that.
The Barton Creek staff did everything to make the wedding weekend a success. They were so professional and took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my emails. They also met with my mother separately when I wasn't in town. Barton Creek has earned my highest recommendation. I will be sure to tell anyone who needs to plan an event (or even just a weekend getaway) that I would use Barton Creek.
We had a tremendous wedding, which was largely due to the venue and our wedding vendors. Barton Creek Resort and our Catering Director, Kristin Crawford, provided a phenomenal planning and wedding day experience. The venue is beautiful, and allowed us to keep both our ceremony and reception indoors, during the hot Texas night, while providing a breathtaking view of the golf course and hill country.
Our experience with the Barton Creek staff was amazing. The menu selections were delicious and customizable to our preferences, which included steak, shrimp, and sea bass for each guest. They also created the wedding cake, as part of our package. My carrot cake was incredibly good, and my husband's groom's brownies were a sweet compliment. As far as decor, we were overly impressed with the outcome of the ceremony room (Atrium) and reception (Royal Ballroom). The linen selections were beautiful, and gave us enough options to choose ones within our color palette and style preference.
Additionally, we used a lot of the vendors that were recommended by Barton Creek because we wanted partners that were very familiar with the venue and that BC felt were of a certain quality worth recommending. A wedding coordinator for the day of the wedding is not included in the package, but Kristin's recommendation of BZ Events' Becky Brock, was a great addition to our wedding planning and completely worth the "Month of" coordinating fee.
All in all, we could not have been more pleased with our experience at Barton Creek. Between the beautiful venue, terrific services, and delicious food, the day was incredible for us and all of our guests!
Really I know I am biased because I was the bride, but honestly our friends still have not stopped talking about how fun and beautiful the wedding was. This was not because of me, but because of all the work that Barton Creek and Kristin Crawford did!! She kept everything in a timely matter, and calmed me down when I was nervous! Our Ceremony was amazing, and it's because of the vendors that Barton Creek requested. Our Ceremony was at the Pavillion at BC and it was just perfect and relaxing. The food was OUTSTANDING! The size of the ballroom is perfect, and the cocktail hour in the atruim was gorgeous, relaxing and the service was perfect for the guests. Barton Creek knows how to make a wedding a relaxed and enjoyable night, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a venue in the hill country. They even helped put together a golf game for all the boys, and the resort has so many amenities that your guests will never be bored! Our wedding was the BEST night of our lives so far, and we can't wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary!
Superb service delicious food friendly and helpful staff casual elegance
I loved the size and shape of the room that allowed for an initmiate layout. The view was amazing as well!;The catering manager Kristin is very difficult. Make sure to check your bill several times as Kristin had charges in ours that we did not agree on and gave us a higher price on an item when we had agreed on a lower one at a previous meeting.
Because we were married on July 5th we go to take part in the Fireworks show that is hosted by Barton Creek each 4th of July weekend. The guests LOVED the show.;When you go to the tasting everything is magnificent. However on the night of the reception there was far less crab in the crabcakes (they were comprised of mostly breadcrumbs) and the steaks weren't nearly as succulent. Food was still good but nothing like what we had at the tasting.
The food was excellent. Preparing food for 300 guests is never easy and sometimes the quality is compromised. The food came out tasting exactly how it tasted for our pre-wedding food tasting. The cakes were beautiful as well. The evening of the reception the staff was very attentive to all of our guests especially the bride and groom.;For the amount of money we spent at Barton Creek we found the staff to be rigid and unaccomodating throughout the planning process. They were often unhelpful and unwilling to grant special requests.
I loved that my parents are members at the country club and we received the highest attention. Our honeymoon suite was the best..it had scattered rose petals all over the floor leading to all areas of the suite and champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us.
Great views of the Hill Country and award winning golf courses, large enough to hold 300 people, ambient lighting, fantastic food (people told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding), the catering manager took care of all of the details much like a wedding coordinator would, so we didn't have to hire one!
It has such a wonderful ambiance. All of my out of town guests had a beautiful place to stay and it was very accomodating. The staff was helpful and very organized at the time of our wedding.
