Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort

Alison and her team exceeded my expectations for our wedding. It helped that the weather was perfect that day but I would highly recommend this venue and look forward to visiting the Omni Hilton Head in the future.

I have dreamed of getting married at the Omni's Shorehouse since I was a little girl, and Alison and her team made that dream come true. Communication was stellar, we were always in the loop about updates to our layout, our menu, and our timeline. We were treated like the number one priority even though we knew there are always other weddings and clients to consider. Our food was delicious, the setting was perfect, and we were able to stay on budget while having a truly beautiful day. I cannot say enough great things about this venue and the entire team who work to make it so spectacular!

Alison and her team at the Omni were absolutely incredible to work with! She went out of her way to do virtual site visits with us on a weekend during Covid and the shutdown. Throughout the planning process, she was always so quick to respond and helpful with suggestions. The day of I had zero stress knowing she was there to help. All of our guests raved about the food as well! The Shorehouse and the rest of the resort is beautiful. Could not ask for a better place to be married!

My new husband and I were married last weekend at the Omni. We had an absolutely fabulous experience working with Alison and the rest of the Omni team. Great customer service and a beautiful venue. It is not always easy to plan a destination wedding from afar, but Alison made this easy. We held both a rehearsal dinner and reception at the Palmetto Lawn and Deck, and Shorehouse, respectively. Our guests loved this setup and having all events right there together. They never had to leave the resort nor did they want to! I would recommend the Omni Oceanfront Resort to any couple looking for a great place to hold a destination wedding weekend.

Although we did not decide to have our wedding at the Omni because of travel distance for our guests (we are in Ohio), I wanted to share my experience visiting the resort and venue. The catering sales manager, Alison, was phenomenal! From the first point of contact to the last she was informative, quick-to-respond, and delightful to interact with. I also had similar experiences with local Hilton Head photographers and DJ's all of whom were familiar with Alison and the venue. Who would've know planning a destination wedding would be easier than having one right around home? It was 100x less stressful. The resort was dreamlike - beautiful decks, pounds, and palm trees circling throughout the resort with multiple fire pits, pools, and hot tubs. We had an oceanfront suite with a mini kitchen (sink, microwave, and fridge, table, and countertop) and I have zero complaints about the room. We dined at 2 of the 4 restaurant/bars (1 was still closed for the season) and the food was exquisite which is indicative of a great meal served at a reception. The beach was of course breathtaking - very clean, quiet, and serene. Hands down the cleanest beach I have ever visited. As a young girl I dreamed of a beach wedding and if I didn't live 800 miles from Hilton Head, there is no doubt in my mind that the Omni Hilton Head would've been my first choice. We toured the Shorehouse with Alison and it is is HUGE! It has its own private beach entrance, a large space for tables, an area for dancing, two fireplaces, an area for cocktail service (which apparently is an oyster bar), outdoor bathrooms, and even a small kitchen area for all of the food. The pictures simply don't do it justice. Surprisingly, holding a destination wedding at the Omni for around 65 guests would've been way cheaper than doing the same thing here in Ohio. I expected over the top prices, but both my Fiance and I were satisfied and felt the pricing was fair. I honestly can say enough good things about the Omni, Alison, and our experience at the resort. I hope this review can help someone in the future decide if the Omni is right for them. Go visit, see for yourself - I promise you won't regret it!

Alison at the Omni is truly a pleasure to work with! Her calm demeanor was always comforting, especially on the wedding day! She helped coordinate all our vendors in a seamless fashion! Planning a destination wedding was rather difficult, but she made it easy by answering all my questions in a timely manner and giving suggestions and ideas from former brides. The staff on the wedding day was absolutely fantastic! My guests were talking about their professionalism even after the wedding! Would highly recommend having your wedding at the Omni!

Omni was perfect for our day. Alison Ward made it completely seamless and stress free. The food and drinks were perfect and all my guests and entire party had an absolutely beautiful time. We had a small family wedding on the Cabana deck and they made it beautiful. I was worried at first at the size and the pool being right there - but there were NO issues and was a ton of fun for all. The spa at the Omni was also wonderful - the hair and make-up being done on the grounds was the way to go! THANK YOU for making our day so perfect.

A huge shout out to Alison Ward, the Omni's catering manager extraordinaire. She was beyond FABULOUS from start to finish. She made every part of the process easy and had great suggestions. As for the Omni itself, we had our ceremony and reception at the Shorehouse in April 2017 and we could NOT have asked for a better experience. The venue is gorgeous with awesome views of the ocean. Our guests could not stop gushing about the location. Food was amazing! I would not have changed a thing!

First off, the caterer/pseudo-wedding coordinator at the Omni, Alison Ward, is PHENOMENAL. Truly, she was so helpful and responsive to so many questions and concerns throughout the entire wedding planning process, and was on-hand during the wedding weekend to personally handle any last-minute issues. We got married at the Shorehouse, which was perfect for our tastes (low-key, in view of the beach, cozy). While we were hoping to have the reception there as well, the weather had other ideas, and we had to move the reception indoors. This wasn't a problem for Alison or her staff, and they handled the last-minute change so efficiently and professionally. However, while all interactions with Alison and her staff were so positive, we (and many of our guests) didn't have the same experiences with the front desk of the hotel. My parents, sister, and some of our relatives all had issues with checking in (in that they were double-booked or put in the wrong room)--and when my husband and I went to check into the bridal/honeymoon suite, they were unaware there was a wedding that day and we had to wait an extra few hours for the room to be ready. However, everything worked out fine in the end. Other than a bit of inconvenience and poor concierge management, it was easy working with the hotel (mainly, Alison) in planning a wedding from afar.

We chose to have our wedding at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort. After meeting with Alison (the catering manager) the first time and seeing the beautiful beach and Shorehouse we were sold. We originally planned on having our wedding ceremony on the beach with a reception to follow in the Shorehouse - unfortunately, the weather did not allow for the beach wedding - all events were in the Shorehouse. It was amazing! The guests could still see the beach from their seats so it was almost like having the ceremony on the beach without the hassle of everyone having to walk through the sand. The staff at the Omni quickly turned the Shorehouse around into the reception (while all the guests were still there - and we didn't even notice)! The food was delicious, the drinks did not stop flowing and the vibe was perfect - it is a great place for a more formal or laid back beach wedding - whichever you are looking for! I cannot say enough nice things about the staff - the planning process was so easy and the whole time we were there everyone was so amazing. I would get married there all over again!

We had our reception in the Shorehouse at the Hilton and this was absolutely perfect! We overlooked the beach and had a great breeze to keep us cool as we danced the night away!

The room was mediocre at best, we had to pay for internet, a paper, and housekeeping that never happened.
