We just had our wedding at The Omni Houston!! It was an incredible weekend! We worked with Gary and Candace, and they took great care of us! They are both very friendly and professional! They helped us to organize room blocks, welcome baggies, a luncheon for the groom and groomsmen, a bridal getting ready room, a brunch for the day afterwards, and of course the ceremony/reception/cocktail hour! The hotel is GORGEOUS!! The staff was very helpful and on top of things! The set up of the ballroom was perfect and the transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception went smoothly! We are SO happy that we had our wedding at The Omni and highly recommend this venue! All of our guests told us how beautiful the venue was! And a big thank you to the front desk worker who helped us find our missing Decorative Hanger that I had forgotten in the bridal room where my dress had been hanging! One last tip, the filet and potatoes in the Reserve is the best filet I've ever had and I am picky with steak! Thank you to everyone at The Omni Hotel!

We just had our daughter's wedding & reception, as well as many guests at the Omni Houston on 4/16/16. I cannot say enough about the entire staff as to how smoothly everything went - in spite of having to turn the ballroom from being set up for a doctor's conference that was supposed to be over at 5 and they didn't get out until 5:30 into a wedding venue by 6:45 - , how great the food and service was, and how happy all of the wedding party and guests were with the rate and hotel rooms. Worked with Desiree and Andres in Banquets, Theresa in hotel rooms - plus various staff. Everyone was great, pleasant, working hard, and trying very hard to please. Could not have had a better event or a better time. Very low stress for a wedding - mostly just a lot of fun. One thing I noticed was that many of the employees have been at that hotel for a very long time, even one of the waiters at the wedding mentioned he had been there 35 years. They are very proud of the product they offer all the way down to the valet and bellmen.

The value of the nightly rate made it a good place to have the room block. I also tried the spa and had a great experience for the bridal package.

We decided to do our block reservation at the OMNI because not only is it a beautiful hotel, but they were the only hotel in the area that would give us a large enough block without charging us for the unbooked rooms. The location is very convient, but still secluded away from the hustle of the actual galleria area. Also the hotel has many lovely lobby areas that were very nice for the our guests to mingle and relax in. Meredith was wonderful to work with, always being very prompt to call/email us back, and checking in with us the day of to make sure we didn't need anything. It was a great experience!

Everything the Omni and Desiree did was flawless. And they always gave great customer service. The hotel is expensive but you definitely get quality.

I got married at the Omni Galleria in Houston, Texas. I live in New York, so was planning my wedding long distance. I worked with Alice Small at the Omni for 8 months to plan my wedding. She had done several traditional / multicultural weddings and knew all the right things to say and do. My parents were thrilled working with her, and she delivered on everything she promised and more. Our wedding was amazing and very well coordinated. The food was fabulous - especially the Salmon entree!!! The suites and rooms were also sooooo nice! Nicole Perry coordinated all our rooms and everything just perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel!

My husband and I stayed at the Omni the night of our wedding. We stayed in the junior suite and we enjoyed our room tremendously! It was such a chic room! We had no issues checking in or out. I can't comment on parking because we were dropped off and picked up by a limousine. The only minor issue we had is that we were to receive a complimentary newspaper, coffee, and orange juice the morning of our stay. We had to call guest services to remind them of the delivery. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. On our honeymoon, we stayed in a comparable hotel, but we still favored the Omni. Now, whenever my husband and I travel, we have to stay in an Omni hotel!

We loved this hotel. We were able to get a room block for $119 a night for all of our guests. Also since we booked 10 rooms we got a complementary room for our wedding night, a bottle of champagne and a free couples massage at their Mokara Spa. It was truly lovely. On another note, the Guest Sales Manger that we were in contact with over the course of 8 months was horrible. She took up to a month to answer one simple email. She never got the people in our room block right, forgot to reserve a room for my parents after I reminded her 3 times, and never returned my phone calls. As it got closer to the wedding and I was unable to deal with this because of time, my mother began to converse with her and she was snippy with her. She indicated that if my mother had done one thing then she could have done her job. Having worked in customer service,I am of the belief that the customer is always right and that even if someone is getting on your nerves, you suck it up and figure it out. Especially if this customer is bringing a larger amount of guests. When we tried to talked to the general manager we just got the various run around from department to department. While I love this hotel and we enjoyed our stay one we got there, I would caution room blocks to stay on top of your sales rep and don't expect quick responses.

If you choose to park your own car, take sneakers and an umbrella in case it rains because it is a LONG walk back to the hotel. Aside from that I loved everything about staying in the Omni. The hotel is beautiful and the staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful.

We had a large wedding (430 people) and I've never seen such care and attention to detail. Everyone who attended said they felt like they were at an intimate family gathering. The staff, from the waiters to the valets took amazing care of us and our party the entire weekend. Event coordinator Alice Small is THE go-to person there, ask for her. Best part is the ballroom is pretty much a blank canvas; you can do so much to it to make it your own. I've been to many weddings there, in both the large and small ballrooms (we used the large), and it looks totally different every time.

i worked with Alice Small and she has been doing this for so many years. She knows what she is doing and takes care of every detail. All of tge staff at the Omni have been there for years and are all so happy to be helping you with all of your needs. Very elegant hotel, highly recommend. A little expensive.

Highly surprised the Omni was so reasonable and offered so much to us and our guests. They offered perks to the Bride and groom if we had so many rooms booked for our event. We didn't push this to our guests but with the amentities offered to our guests and the awesome reduced rate how could we not stay there. Omni check in was easy they had a gym, pool, and placed to eat. My wedding party and I rented a suite the night before the wedding which was also exceptional. Our wedding night suite was all that we expected and more. Overall experience had was above expectations.

My then fiance and I fell in love with the Omni's Colonade Ballroom as soon as we saw it. The tapestry hanging on the dark oak walls, along with the beautiful chandellier, gave the room a regal ambiance without having to pay millions for it. The food was fantastic and didn't taste like 'corporate rubber chicken'. Our cocktail reception was held in the foyer just outside the ballroom and the hotel's beautiful landscape was visible from the beautiful large windows. It was a rainy day, but it didn't matter it was very elegant and the beautiful landscaping made you forget that the hotel is in the middle of the 4th largest U.S.city. We only had 3 months to plan our wedding as my husband is in the Australian military and the catering manager worked with us to ensure that everything went well. She even worked with me while I was away for one month before the wedding keeping in touch with me via e-mail. It was a 'match'made in heaven for us. I would strongly recommend the venue for anyone who wants a traditional 'regal'setting.
