We were married on April 28, 2012 in Richmond, Virginia, and were very fortunate to have our reception and post-wedding brunch at the Omni Richmond. In addition, 95 % of the guest...s for our 170-person reception were not from Richmond, and the Omni provided a large majority of the sleeping arrangements. We, our families, and our guests were overwhelmed at the tremendous service provided by the Omni Richmond. Our high marks for the Omni Richmond center around two concepts: execution excellence and hospitality.
The reception, the brunch, and all other activities were executed beautifully. All of the wishes that we expressed prior to the wedding when working with the Catering and Sales Manager, Cowles Wall, were executed beautifully, tastefully, and excellently. Every single detail that we discussed was managed even more skillfully than planned. Cowles did an excellent job listening to us and our wishes and translated our requests into practical execution. In addition, he facilitated the movement of our reception and our guests were very pleased with the timing, room setup, and overall facility. The banquet staff also did a fantastic job – our guests felt welcome, and the food was delicious. At our tasting, the chef created a custom hors d’oeuvre - a take on the bacon-wrapped quail with the addition of a honey-sriacha glaze. It was a hit all around and everyone enjoyed that among the other food.
Our guests were also made to feel welcome by all of the staff throughout the Omni Richmond. The staff made sure that everyone’s stay was enjoyable. We’ve lost count of the number of people who gave us feedback about the hotel staff, noting that their attention to individuals and general pleasant attitude exceeded that of elite five-star hotels. The staff of the Omni Richmond are a model for excellence in hotel hospitality.
Overall, we highly recommend the Omni Richmond to anyone for their wedding reception – the staff simply did an excellent job, and made our wedding day special by facilitating our guests’ happiness.
