umeta sent us an amendment to our contract due to the changed date (due to COVID). When we reviewed the amendment in detail, we noticed that she had increased the original package rate, added a fee for the vidhi, and added costs for the date change. We only noticed all these differences when we did some digging and found the original contract from 2019 which had a lower rate and included the vidhi in the package price. After we mentioned the discrepancies in the contracts, it took many reminders for her to admit the amendment she sent was wrong. She was trying to pull a fast one on us which was a total shock because she was the ONLY vendor to try and get more money out of us in a deceitful way. Weeks up to the wedding, she promised that she would deliver an itinerary for the wedding and reception. I received the wedding itinerary one day before my event and I still to this day have NOT received a reception itinerary. During the actual wedding weekend, I had so many people tell me how clueless my wedding planner was. Then after the wedding, my friends asked what her company name was so they could spread the word about how awful Sumeta is with organization, communication, and direction. She fotgot so many important pieces, but here are a few: 1. Rose pins to be given to all the men during the wedding: I realized they were not given out before the ceremony so I reminded her assistant and asked to distribute them for the reception. They forgot AGAIN so 70 pins with fresh flowers were wasted. 2. Garlands for the groom's vidhi: she told us they were not in the cooler but we later found 3 of the garlands we needed in the cooler ourselves. 3. She did not take me to my first look because she was getting ready herself so my sister and I had to figure out how to get there without guests seeing me. 4. One of her assistants who was tasked with guiding/coordinating the baraat spent the entire time dancing away instead of doing any of his responsibilities. Towards the end of the baraat there was no guidance where people should be so the DJ drove away before my family could join in. 5. The entrance table for the wedding was on the side where guests are supposed to exit, so while I was getting ready to enter myself I noticed the placement was wrong so I told one of her assistants to move it. 6. For the vidhai (goodbye ceremony), she was supposed to bring the horse and carriage to the front after we had lunch (which her team also forgot to put together for us) but the horse and carriage was nowhere to be found so my husband had to go find it. 7. I had a guest ask her where the bride's side was sitting during the wedding, she said she did not know and went to ask my sister which side our family was on. 8. My hair and make-up artist asked me who my wedding planner was and then continued to tell me how odd it was that she did not introduce herself or come to my room to check up on me. 9. My husband and I were literally moving around tables for the reception while guests were enjoying cocktail hour because they were arranged in an unusable format. 10. During our reception entrance, she opened the doors too soon for my sister's entrance and also MY entrance with my husband. All of these points were discussed with her in so much detail that it is a shame she needed reminders.

imagine planning my wedding without her. She really took the time to get to know both me and my husband. She worked amazingly well with my mom, who I wanted to be sure to be a part of the planning. I cannot say enough kind words about her and her team. She's truly the best.
