This is the perfect venue. Jenna is so incredibly helpful and responsible, the whole place is just gorgeous and it's got plenty of room for all activities. I loved that it was cool and comfortable on the dancefloor the whole time and that we could display our seating chart on the TV screens. Out guests absolutely loved the venue and it's one of the first things they complimented afterward. It's so nice that guests can wander the galleries during cocktail hour, what a perfect activity! Don't think twice, pick this venue.
We set up a meeting to tour the venue with Jonathan. He answered many of our questions and understood our vision from the beginning. He was very responsive and easy to work with. We originally wanted an outdoor wedding, but we changed our minds as soon as we walked into the venue. The large windows and high ceilings in the rotunda make the space beautiful. We chose not to drape the windows and the sun beamed through them during sunset. It was perfect! Thank you Jonathan and OMART.
Our wedding at Orlando Museum of Art was so beautiful and totally unforgettable! We did not want a typical hotel ballroom wedding, we wanted something unique with style. A wedding we could customize and build ourselves. Being from Boston, we were scared of the prospect of planning an entire wedding remotely, but Jonathan from OMA made it easy. When you rent the museum it includes tables, Jonathan gave us the chairs at a VERY competitive price, and he provided preferred vendors lists that really guided us in the process. We ended up using Arthur’s for catering and they provided all the things the museum did not. It was perfect and seamless.
A couple of things you should consider (pros & cons):
1) It is a museum of art and thus some things will not be entirely in your control (like the art exhibits that are displayed when you get married) - we loved the ones that were up during our wedding! And Jonathan let us use the galleries for pictures - I am so excited to see the results!
2) The prettiest entrance is the main entrance. Jonathan offered us a side entrance for our guests to arrive at the cocktail hour but I did not like the artwork on that side entrance at all. So we went with the main entrance - hence, guests saw the main room before going to the cocktail hour. Personally, we did not mind this because in the end it all worked out - but I do think it’s helpful to know that going into it!
3) A huge perk is the amount of parking available and the fact that you can pretty much customize everything!
Also Jonathan who works at OMA is a ceritfied wedding coordiantor - we went with him and it was a huge advantage!
Ultimately, your guests will NEVER forget a wedding at an art museum, so it is SO worth it!
Having our wedding at the Orlando Museum of Art was an absolute dream! I wanted this video because my now husband is an artist, and I thought this would be the perfect venue for him. We toured the museum almost an entire year before our wedding day, and we knew right away that we wanted to have our wedding there! We didn't even look at any other venues after going to the museum. Jonathan, at the museum, is amazing! He put a hold on the museum for us that day, and gave us a little time to get the deposit in. He also played the role as our month of coordinator, and we could not be more thankful for him! Throughout the year of our planning process, he was always available to answer any questions we had, and walked us through the process every step of the way. As our coordinator he became the point of contact for all of our vendors, and as the wedding day approached I no longer heard from any of them, as everything was being handled directly through them and Jonathan. The night of our wedding Jonathan, and his team, handled everything! From set up, to decor, to seating our guests, to getting the wedding party organized, to moving things to the reception, he handled absolutely everything! I did not worry about a single thing the entire night, because Jonathan had handled it before I even had the chance to worry. The museum was even more beautiful that night than we had imagined. It served as the absolute best location for our wedding, and all night long our guests just raved about how beautiful it was and how it was such a perfect choice. I would absolutely do my whole night over again at the same place with the same team! Thank you so much to Jonathan, and the Orlando Museum of Art for making our wedding a dream come true!
My sister is actually the one who suggested I look into having my wedding at the museum, and I'm grateful she did. Jonathan was a dream to work with, the museum is such a blank canvas and unique space it was a no brainer to book my reception here. If you are looking for a unique space I suggest looking into the museum. My guests are still admiring the beauty and exhibits they were able to experience at the museum. Book here, you won't regret it!
We were beyond thrilled to celebrate our wedding (reception/cocktail hour/ceremony) at the Orlando Museum of Art. The staff (Jonathan) was amazing through the entire process and their customer service really showed when it decided to rain the entire day of our wedding. My husband and I never wanted a beach or country club wedding, mainly because the weather is wild in Florida, even in Late January; but we wanted to create more of a unique experience for our guests. We adored the large Chihuly sculpture in the Gallery Room and held our ceremony there. Guests walked through the art galleries to enter the ceremony room, which created an experience from the start. Then they come to this floor-to-ceiling sculpture and were blown away. Our reception was held in the lobby, and we loved how intimate, yet grandiose the lobby felt. The lobby is such a blank canvas to fit any decor style. We did all of our wedding party pictures in the Art Galleries. Our wedding party and family had so much fun admiring all of the art as we took our pictures. We could not have asked for a more creative space to do pictures in. A small bonus for the end of the night: the museum is down the street from the Mills 50 area which has a ton of nightlife and makes for a great after-party.
What a fabulous experience with this venue! Jonathan was a complete god-send in the planning process and the venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding size (120) and personalities. Thank you OMA for making our day perfect!
Our wedding reception experience at OMA was amazing!!!!! We LOVED working with Jonathan the Facility Rentals & Corporate Sales Manager at OMA. He was the face of OMA for us and what a wonderful impression we have been left with. He was so kind, friendly, flexible, generous, cooperative and much more! We could Not have asked for better attention to our needs while working with him. We would highly highly recommend having your event at OMA. Our pictures were so beautiful!!!! We’re so very grateful. Hats off to you OMA and Jonathan for helping to make our wedding day so memorable 🌹
We had our wedding and reception here and it was perfect. The space is so amazing no additional decor is needed. Jonathan and his team did a wonderful job putting us at ease and helping us understand what our options were. Very helpful and on top of things.
What a gorgeous, unique venue! Finding the perfect venue was difficult for us as we didn't want the typical Florida locations like a beach or country club. Seeing as my now husband and I both went to art school, the second we found this venue on The Knot's list, we knew it was the perfect one for us. Not only were our guests blown away with the beauty of the place and it's artwork, the staff was also exceptional. Both Arielle and Jonathon were quick at responding to any of our questions/email and were hands on with making sure planning went as smoothly as possible. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of in large part due to this venue.
We celebrated our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Orlando Museum of Art in December and had an absolute blast. Their facilities were wonderful, the staff was attentive and on-point, and the amenities were wonderful. The venue was a classy and beautiful environment and we are so happy we went with them!
This venue was our dream to have our wedding. Wish Arielle was still the go to person for weddings but Jonathan is ok just keep communication open with him and it will be great but our guests were amazed by the beauty of this venue
Beautiful location for a unique wedding. Jonathan the event manager is great to work with . Made us feel special and went out of his way yoynske a perfect night!
We just got married at OMA last week and we loved everything about this venue. From the first moment we toured the museum in January we knew this would be the place! Arielle was amazing to work with. She was always very responsive to emails and questions, she had great suggestions, and the event flowed smoothly from beginning to end. It was super important for us that the space itself be something interesting and beautiful. I did NOT want to get married or have a reception in a boring, rectangular ballroom. The Orlando Museum of Art has gorgeous open spaces, beautiful backdrops for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful venue in Orlando! (Bonus - you can do everything indoors so you're not susceptible to any inclement weather or ridiculous heat!)
Where do I even begin!? Finding a venue is hard in Florida unless you are looking to get married on the beach, in a church, or at a country club. We weren't really down with that so after weeks of searching endlessly, the Museum just happened upon a website I was combing through. We knew from the minute we walked in that this is where we would tie the knot! Everything about this venue is incredible. It's modern and clean and truly breathtaking. Arielle was INVALUABLE! She went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly and had oodles of good advice. She was so sweet, I could really go on and on. You will not regret using this beautiful venue.
This was a beautiful modern venue. We looked at so many venues and the museum was just perfect for what we were looking for. The museum itself is already so beautiful that we did not need much decoration. We had our ceremony in the Grand Gallery and our reception in the Rotunda. The chihuly was beautiful for our ceremony and the art around it stood out on its own. We didn't add any flowers to our ceremony since we had plenty of artwork. Arielle from OMA was very helpful in our entire process. She allowed us to come in to take a look at wedding setups which gave us ideas for our own wedding. She helped us with our ceremony layout giving us ideas of how we could set it up. She made the planning process very easy. The museum as our venue allowed us to bring our own caterer and alcohol. The only thing they didn't allow was red wine because it could stain the marble floors, but this wasn't a dealbreaker for us. We also didn't have to rent a dancefloor, their marble floor was perfect. This is a very modern and elegant venue. The high ceilings made it feel as if you were in a very fancy event. If that is what you're looking for, then this would be a perfect venue.
Our wedding at the Orlando Museum of Art was everything we dreamed and more. Arielle and Casey worked tirelessly with us down to every detail. The venue was gorgeous and our guests were in complete awe. OMA staff was fantastic and worked flawlessly with all of our vendors. Both our ceremony and reception took place in the Rotunda, which was flipped over during cocktail hour. This was perfect for us so our guests did not have to travel. The Rotunda was beautiful to begin with so adding simple touches quickly created elegance. Our 130 guests fit perfectly in the Rotunda and we used the ABC rooms for the buffet line. We even had space for a great dance floor. We loved the layout and our guests enjoyed everything in one location. We loved every part of it!
We had our wedding ceremony at Ormnd Memorial Gardens. It was beautiful in late February. I absolutely recommend this location if you would like an outdoor venue! Beautiful!
Finding the right venue was maybe the hardest decision of our planning process. The other venues felt too boring and generic, or too large, not "our style," etc. OMA was the place we had been looking for. It was unique, sleek and sophisticated, the perfect size, and just naturally gorgeous. The Chihuly statue made an incredible and beautiful statement during our cocktail hour. Some of my favorite pictures were the portraits we took in the gallery. And the Rotunda was breathtaking. The Italian marble on the floor was beautiful and prevented us from having to rent a dance floor like many of the other venues required. The high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows gave the space the modern feel we were searching for. In addition Casey and Arielle were a pleasure to work with and were always available when we had questions.
Coordinated a corporate holiday party here last month and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. The Christmas tree was up as well as the lanterns so it added to the already beautiful decor in the rotunda. We used the rotunda, gallery and some of the meeting spaces and it was simply breathtaking, the guests are still raving about it. Arielle was a breeze to work with, super helpful and very responsive. The venue also has complimentary onsite parking which is a huge plus for a downtown venue! Definitely looking forward to using the venue again and working with Arielle in the future.
The OMA is the perfect venue if you are looking for a modern venue that doesn't need much decoration because it is beautiful on its own. The guests were complimenting the museum all night. They said it felt like a classy gala. I couldn't be happier with how the reception looked and the 101 gallery is a perfect backdrop for a ceremony. Casey from the OMA was very helpful through the whole process. Picking the OMA for my venue was the best decision I made!
The only place we thought could represent our love on many levels for our wedding was the Orlando Museum of Art. Having our closest family and friends surround us along with the most beautiful art in the city was a special experience. Such a venue required special attention to details and customer service from Casey Hall, Event Manager at OMA. She was incredible with her level of communication, assistance, and willingness to go the extra mile to help support our special day... She even helped us have the first ever food truck event at OMA to complete such a unique wedding for all to remember! We could not be happier with OMA and Casey!
My now husband is the one who actually chose this venue and he could not have picked a more perfect place! The sculpture in the grand gallery and the high ceilings in the rotunda were the biggest selling points for us! It was a beautiful location with amazing marble floors, perfect for dancing! We had a large wedding and had to use the meeting rooms but it never felt separated it all felt like one space! There isn't need for many additional decorations thanks to the natural beauty of the museum. The staff was also incredible, a big thanks especially to Casey!
We choose the Orlando Museum of Art for my daughter's wedding reception and cocktail party. The venue is beautiful, there are many options for setup, the staff is professional, and it's a unique space. The sculpture and art are added bonus for the guests. I would highly recommend this venue for any type of special function.
OMA is the perfect venue to create just the right kind of look for a classic but modern wedding. We wanted something different and didn't want to have a reception at a hotel. OMA was able to accommodate us in one room. Alyssa the events director at the museum was amazing and was there to answer any questions and lend a helping hand every step of the way. She even let me borrow some set up items which came in handy since we were on a budget. Friends and family still talk about how cool the venue was and just how great our wedding was at OMA.
We could not have been happier with our wedding venue. My husband, Matt, and I looked at the Orlando Science Center, The History Center and the Museum of Art. Each had their pro's and con's but the Museum was our first choice! We worked with Alyssa Zambryckij, the Facility and Group Sales Coordinator. She was so helpful, kind and on the ball. She quickly responded to all of our emails and made us feel like we were her only event. The day of the wedding she assisted with all of our vendors and made sure Matt and I were comfortable with everything. She was a blessing that came with the museum. The black and white tile and contemporary decor made our wedding seem like a Manhattan cocktail party. We were married in front of the Chihuly sculpture. Alyssa suggested many ways to make an aisle that we could walk down which was a nice creative touch to our artistic ceremony. Our colors were black and white so the Chihuly really pops in our photos. After the ceremony our guests we allowed to wander through the galleries before the reception. It was a neat touch, and something different. For our reception we used two of the three meeting rooms for our food stations and one of our bars. This way the beautiful black and white floor could be used for dancing, tables, couches and ottomans. Our guests loved the lounge setting we were able to create in the space. I recommend draping the museum shop - we had uplighting that made an elegant backdrop for our sweetheart and cake table.
The only thing that may be a negative to some is that the museum does not allow red wine to be served due to the potential stains. This was by no means a deal breaker for us - plenty other alcoholic beverages exist.
We loved our venue and could not have been happier with one of the classiest and most unique spots in Orlando.
This location is unique & gorgeous. They had asked us if we needed anything in the bride room but they didn't have the tables we asked for. During the cocktail hour, the security made guests feel like they couldn't enter the galleries but it was allowed. I think for the price it is a great location & conveniently located.
Thank you to Mary and everyone at the OMA. My daughter's wedding was wonderful. The Museum was the perfect setting-different and upscale. Our guests were delighted with the venue and had a fantastic time.
IT WAS GORGEOUS!! AND THAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT, OTHERWISE THE MUSEUM IS NOT AN IDEAL PLACE FOR A GOOD SIZE WEDDING...;THE EVENT COORDINATOR DID NOT COMMUNICATE WITH US OR MY WEDDING COORDINATOR AND IT SHOWED, WE WERE NOT TOLD RED WINE WAS NOT ALLOWED UNTIL REHEARSAL DAY AT THE MUSEUM. THE MUSEUM IS NOT EQUIPPED FOR A GOOD SIZE WEDDING - MY GUEST COULD NOT EVEN GET A CUP OF COFFEE :-( WHICH IS OUTRAGEOUS BUT THEY MUST HAVE A REALLY SMALL KITCHEN.. MY WEDDING WAS SUPPOSED TO END AT 1130 BUT WEDDING DAY I WAS TOLD THE WEDDING WAS OVER AT 1100 - NO COMMUNICATION AGAIN AND VERY FRUSTRATING...
