My husband and I had our wedding at Ormond this past October! They were outstanding and so easy to work with! We wanted a few changes in the menu and they were more than happy to accommodate to us and work with us! I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the beautiful venue!
P.S. the food is AMAZING!

Our daughter always dreamed of having her wedding reception at Ormond Plantation and it was an amazing night! The Wedding Coordinator, Paige, handled every detail for us from beginning to end. The food prepared by Chef Richard Kiral was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by everyone. The wedding packages included a day of wedding accommodations for the bridal party to dress and relax and many other extras. Ormond Plantation was an amazing venue with a professional staff, delicious food and beautiful atmosphere.
We want to thank Paige and all of her staff for accommodating us and making Jessica and Zach's wedding a dream come true!

My now husband and I got married at the Ormond Plantation just a few months ago in November of 2019. We planned the entire wedding from out of state and had never even set foot on the plantation until our rehearsal dinner. We didn't even try the food. We read reviews that their dishes were great and I fell in love with the gorgeous trees in their front lawn area and instantly knew--this is where we are getting married! I am so glad I listened to my heart and booked them. Paige, Stacie and Peggy were key to all the planning. Any question I had was answered in a timely manner, which definitely put this bride at ease. When the rehearsal day arrived and we pulled up to the venue for the first time, everything fell perfectly into place. Every staff member was so helpful, the food was incredible, the venue was stunning. I loved that they have rooms on site for the bridal party to dress and they recommended a nearby market to order treats while we dressed. Honestly, it was raining most of the week before and I was worried we would be rained out, but the day was glorious and full of sunshine. Peggy kept things going and organized as we enjoyed our day. If anything went wrong, I had no idea! We thank you for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. From planning and emails, to bringing it all together that day. THANK YOU! We will be back as the Ormond now holds a special place in our hearts!
Any questions?

If you are considering Ormond Plantation as your wedding venue, go ahead and book it now, you will not regret it. My husband and I were married on November 2nd, 2019 and I can honestly say it was my absolute dream wedding. I truly felt so special getting married here. Ms. Peggy and Paige were so attentive to our wants/needs before, during and even after the wedding. Getting married and choosing the perfect place is a big decision and with that comes a lot of questions. They answered every single question I had with ease (and I had a lot of questions). They also answered my mom and mother-in-law's questions as well, which I appreciated so much. We got married in front of the plantation and it was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I love oak trees, so we wanted to get married in front of them. The packages they have are spectacular, as they include both cake allowance and the DJ which took a lot of stress off of me having to find a bakery or DJ. My husband and I never were empty-handed the whole night, Paige and Peggy made sure that we were never having to go to the bar to get drinks, so we could spend more time with our guests. They were always checking to make sure everything was okay and that we didn't need anything, which I thought was wonderful. After the ceremony, by the time we finished taking pictures, we were ready to go into the reception and have fun with our guests, however, they give you the opportunity to eat with each other alone in private before going into the reception which I thought was awesome. At the end of the night, they sent us home with all of the food from the reception and we feasted (it even tasted good lukewarm, lol)! Many weddings that I have been to, the food was just mediocre. I promise you that this is not the case for Ormond. Their food was wonderful and many of our guests told our family that the food was absolutely amazing. I seriously could never thank Paige and Peggy enough for all they did for our family on the day of the wedding. You will not be disappointed by choosing Ormond as your wedding venue.

We chose Ormond Plantation for its charm, location, price, and food! The staff was so wonderful to work with and made sure my groom and I were well taken care of all night.
Most of our guest were from outside Louisiana, so having the reception at the quintessential Southern location was key! They absolutely loved the atmosphere. I also loved being able to take my bridal photos there before the wedding—so picturesque!
You get SO MUCH for your money when you choose a reception at Ormond and you have the option to customize to fit your needs. We went with a buffet dinner—everything was delicious and the staff kept bringing food to the groom and I so we didn’t go hungry. The price includes a cake and DJ but we went with a band. We also had open bar and the bridal party stayed overnight at the B&B so we had a super cute place to get ready the next day!
Can’t say enough good things about Ormond—I can’t imagine having a better wedding!

Ormond Plantation is the place to get married! Ormond took care of EVERYTHING! My package included a cake allowance, DJ, open bar, dinner (buffet style) and rehearsal. Ms. Robin was the easiest and sweetest person to work with, she never beat you around the bush on cost and is very upfront. Paige her daughter helps out and is the sweetest thing and was willing to help out anywhere needed! On my wedding day there was a HURRICANE moving in (10/07/17), making my outdoor dream wedding under the beautiful oak, less than ideal...they made sure it happened! I was Ms. Robin's FIRST HURRICANE bride, but she was relaxed and made sure my day was going to happen, we appreciated that so MUCH since we were all traveling in from Texas. The day of the wedding went as smooth as possible with the weather conditions we had working against us and my bridal attendant Ms. Peggy was heaven sent! She made sure I was happy, content, pleased and that I ate some of our food. Which leaves me with the food...by far the best! Chef does NOT disappoint and ALL my guest made sure to let us know it was the BEST food they have had at any wedding they have attended. Book with Ormond, you cannot beat the price, packages offered and the true Southern hospitality! Forever grateful for Ms.Robin and her fantastic team for making my day happen despite everything going against us!

They take so much stress and hassle out of planning it is fantastic. The food and service they provide at the wedding is amazing and people will talk about it after. I think many of my guests will be adding it to their lists of restaurants to become regulars at!

The staff at Ormond Plantation was absolutely amazing throughout our entire process! From booking our wedding till the morning after the wedding, this staff was absolutely available and helpful. Our guest truly enjoyed themselves at our reception. Of course my husband and I really didn't have time to eat, but our guest raved about how delicious the food was! We stayed the night at the Plantation which is something I strongly encourage for any bride and groom.

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and stress free thanks to Robin and Peggy at Ormond Plantation. Robin was very laid back and we were able to bring all of the decorations a day before. All of the bridesmaids and mothers got ready at the plantation the day of with no extra charge. We had rented out all of the rooms the night of the wedding for my family to stay in. It was stress free having everything in one place. The ceremony and reception were at Ormond. Peggy was the bridal assistant and always made sure we had what we needed. The food is prepared by their amazing chef and is very delicious. Stage One DJ played all of the music that we asked for. We had such a perfect day and it was all thanks to the amazing staff at Ormond Plantation. Thank you for making our wedding dreams come true!

Beautiful facility with a caring and kind staff. Our wedding was one only pictured in dreams, thanks to all the time and effort that went into the planning, by Ormond Manor.

Let me start by saying the grounds are beautiful. My husband and I only had our ceremony there, not our reception. We had a few issues throughout our wedding as follows:
1) We were promised the bridal suit to get ready in for no charge because it was including by having our ceremony there. A month prior to the wedding we were asked to pay to use it. I had documented the email that stated we could have it free of charge and that is the only reason this request was granted.
2) My mother in law did our rehearsal and dinner on the grounds. A set price was agreed o and confirmed via email. A few weeks prior to final payment, they asked her for more money.
3) The Tuesday before my rehearsal I had sent an email in with Robin to clarify everything for the rehearsal on Thursday. She confirmed all my request. On Thursday the night of the rehearsal she didnt show. My officiant had to run it through with us. She also never contacted me afterwards or even apologized when we showed up on the day of the wedding.
When booking this place: document everything and you may need to call the day of to remind them of things (like we dont have enough to do as brides!!)

My husband and I had both our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception here.
The rehearsal dinner was fantastic. Chef makes great food, you won't be disappointed. Richard (the owners son) is a true blessing. He worked his butt of for us both at the rehearsal and during the day of our wedding. He is fantastic and I can't say enough good things about him being worth his weight in gold. We didn't get quite as much assistance from the venue as we anticipated during setup so if you are bringing a lot of your own stuff, bring some friends as well. There are several things that never got out into the reception because we both were under the impression that we would not be setting up half as much as we thought we'd be delegating. Thank goodness, we brought wonderful friends who helped us! Ormond did the tear down and packed everything up afterwards!
I didn't love our wedding coordinator, she was late to the rehearsal (I had to restart for her). Then, the next day she asked similar questions as I was about to walk down the aisle (she didn't remember), had the nerve to say I was the most nervous groom she'd ever worked with (UNPROFESSIONAL), and then didn't orchestrate any of the reception events (I told her we were cutting the cake, doing the second line, ect). I was not a fan of her services as I could have just done everything myself... since I did anyway.
Robin (owner) is very laid back which my husband and I both love but I occasionally got frustrated with - For instance, they were very willing to work with us at everyone's convenience for the pay schedule (super helpful for our situation), but don't necessarily have an itemized inventory of decorations. Like I said, I appreciated the calm demeanor, but I was somewhat frustrated with the lack of specificity.
Overall, the plantation is fantastic - I can't recommend the setting enough.
Food is also just great. Its true cajun cuisine and Chef is a pro.
Would definitely recommend and its value can't be beaten.

I absolutely loved my wedding at Ormond. The plantation had family history for me which made it a great choice. Ms. Robin helped to put it over the top! We had a beautiful wedding at sunset under the large oak tree in front of the plantation. Our reception was at the plantation as well.
Advise for future brides: Ormond may be rated as a $$$ wedding but you have to know what is included when you book here. I found out while searching that other places do not offer what Ormond does. Our food was included in the price quote as well as the alcohol. DJ services for the ceremony and reception are included. Cake allowance is included and grooms cake if you pick a package that allows for that. I paid for the photographer and flowers that's it!

We are delighted that we chose Ormond Plantation for our wedding location! Not only is the location a beautiful historic plantation, but the people provide wonderful customer service. Robin, her family, Tammy the wedding coordinator, and the whole staff were of great help with everything. I really recommend this venue, not just to get married but to spend a night or two for a romantic get away. It was more than I could ask!

Robin and her staff were incredible, and prefect. On the night before the wedding we had the rehearsal dinner at Ormond Plantation afterward I and two of my bridesmaids retired into the Bridal Suite to relax and get some sleep. On the morning of my Big Day Robin and her cook made us breakfast, to make sure we could make it thru the busy day.
I can’t express the joy, the pleasure, the excitement when my husband and I first saw our wedding pictures; the Plantation and the Oak Tree looked amazing. I would recommend using Ormond Plantation.
