Specializing in private property affairs, my company offers full-service, partial planning service and day-of coordination for weddings in the New England area and the United States. Born and raised here, noting beats a New England wedding!
With a concentration on private property rentals, you can expect superior guidance in event logistics, property layout, contract negotiations, local vendor recommendations, decor design and support, travel accommodations.
Having been an international bride myself, I am well versed in all the moving parts involved in making a destination wedding successful and unique! Creating a wedding away from home is no small task. Be it an intimate gathering or larger affair, you can expect your hand to be held through every step of the process.
I have been in private business for 13 years now and in the event and restaurant industry for 17 years prior to opening my company. I pride myself on my exacting attention to detail and creativity that allows for us to plan a unique event that reflects your vision and personality. My years of managing restaurants, staff and events has provided very necessary leadership skills that become unique to overseeing such a special day in your lives.

From our very first call with Jennifer, we were instantly impressed by her easy-going nature and genuine enthusiasm. She made planning our wedding within just six months feel completely do-able, thanks to her expert guidance and support.
Jennifer was open to all our ideas, whether it was about catering, flowers, or any unique touches we wanted to include. She took our vision and transformed it into reality, making our backyard wedding dream come to life. The intimate atmosphere she created was not only beautiful but incredibly memorable.

Highly recommend Jen! We used Jen for a backyard wedding and she was so helpful from the site visit to the end of the night. Very knowledgeable and provided great advice and insight leading up to the wedding. Worked great with all the vendors the day of the wedding so I didn’t have to think about anything. I was able to completely enjoy the day while Jen did all the hard work behind the scenes. Couldn’t recommend her more!
Jennifer is terrific! Everything you would want in an event planner. I am the mother of the bride, and even in my critical eye, she went above and beyond, far surpassing my expectations. She gets the job done, no matter what! She works especially well with two very nervous nellies (my daughter and son in law) who needed much reassurance along the way and step by step guidance). (She's a good hand holder!) Just meet her and you'll see what I mean. P.S. She has no idea that I'm writing this.
Jennifer was a dream to work with! She was our day of event planner for my daughters wedding and we could not have done it without her. She kept everything and everyone on track! She did an outstanding job with our decor and most importantly kept us sane and made sure we enjoyed our day

Our wedding was in Salem, MA and we live out of state so hiring a wedding planner was essential for us. Jennifer perfectly guided us through the tangled mess that is wedding planning. From our first meeting, both of us felt listened-to and confident that Jennifer could help us shape our loosely defined vision.
Jennifer was always organized and on track - even when my partner and I, admittedly, weren’t - and ensured no deadline went past due. She reviewed our contracts, negotiated on our behalf, and if a vendor wasn’t looking like they matched our style, she quickly and seamlessly had others on deck that were a better fit. We told her our budget, and throughout the process she did her best to make sure we kept that in mind with suggestions and advice.
Whenever we had questions or needed clarification, Jennifer was a Zoom meeting (since we were out of state during planning), an email or a text away with ready guidance and words of support that really helped an indecisive bride make decisions.
Our wedding really went perfectly. I was all ready for the, “you can’t control everything and something will go wrong.” For ours, I can confidently say that this didn’t happen. Jennifer coordinated very, very well with our vendors and they had nothing but praise to say about working with her! I know, without a doubt that our wedding day could not have gone so seamlessly if Jennifer had not been the quarterback of our team throughout the process.

Out of absolutely everything at our wedding, my husband and I agree the best decision we made was hiring Jenn as our day-of coordinator. Jenn is kind, funny, thoughtful, and thorough. She is the perfect combination of making sure you and your guests are happy and taken care of, as well as getting things done and putting people in place. I knew no matter what happened, everything would work out because Jenn was going to make it work. From implementing our rain plan, to running our rehearsal, getting me appetizers and drinks during photos, making sure my dress was bustled, checking on family members...she did it all flawlessly. Jenn was unanimously one of the most popular and talked about people at our wedding by all of our guests, letting us know how impressed they were with her and her work. Our wedding would not have been a success without Jenn-- it is as simple as that. If you are seeking a wedding planner for your wedding, you will not regret hiring Otto Events!
Jen absolutely CRUSHED IT as our Day-of-Coordinator! Without a doubt, worth every penny. Jen was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful in planning all of those last-minute details, as well as making sure our special day went exactly as planned. Jen is extremely experienced in her work and offered valuable advice, as well as dealing with all of those issues that come up, including moving to a ‘rain’ schedule and even being our ‘bartender’ when they didn’t show up LOL. Out of all of the vendors during our wedding, we received the most compliments and words of praise for Jen. She is incredibly kind and charismatic, while also being assertive and directive when need be. Jen goes above and beyond for her clients and my husband and I highly recommend her!
We hired Jenn to be our day-of wedding coordinator, since we were doing an at-home wedding and felt pretty confident with handling the details until the actual event. Jenn was extremely involved throughout the process and contributed much more than just day-of service to our event. She gave us some great advice and recommended the tent company we ended up using for all our rentals, who were fantastic to work with. When it came time for the actual weekend, Jenn absolutely crushed our rehearsal and wedding. It was totally amazing to see her in her element. Despite it being June we had a cold, windy day that none of us expected, which threw several wrenches into the works the morning of the wedding. Jenn was there to help manage all the surprises extra early that morning: from putting up sidewalls on the tent, to literally putting out an expected small fire in the tent, Jenn was there by our sides fixing whatever came our way - to the point she hardly had a chance to get dressed! Throughout the rest of the day Jenn was there for us in countless ways. In addition to coordinating vendors, doing final decor setup, and making adjustments to the tent due to the wind, Jenn also walked me out to the field for our first look so she could personally hold my dress train and check my teeth before pictures. She was there to hold my beer, remind me not to spill berries on my white dress, and somehow tied a simple scarf in a very pretty way around my shoulders for the very chilly ceremony. She kept us totally on schedule and the event ran very smoothly, despite all the surprises from the weather. Throughout the day I had several people sidle up to me and say “Is that your coordinator? I think I’m in love with her.” One of my bridesmaids lamented not having someone as organized as her for her own wedding. Jenn made it incredibly easy to feel comfortable around her, and having her by my side throughout the day was like having both an event coordinator, professional maid of honor, and friend all in one. We are so grateful that we had her to coordinate our wedding - we would have been lost without her.
Hiring Jen as our day-of coordinator was hands down the best decision we made when planning our wedding! We were introduced to Jen by a close friend who had hired her to coordinate her wedding and I knew first-hand how great she was to deal with. Jen was very understanding and accommodating when we postponed our wedding a year due to COVID-19 and then expertly helped us navigate the difficulties of having a wedding during a pandemic. Despite us only hiring Jen as our day-of coordinator, she provided great advice in the final weeks leading up to the wedding and advocated for us when some of our vendors tried to make last minute changes. A few weeks prior to our wedding, Jen met us at our venue to do a walk-through and discuss the layout. She also talked us through how to create our day-of schedule and provided suggestions to ensure the day went smoothly. Jen was extremely communicative and responsive!
The day before our wedding Jen met us at the venue a few hours before the rehearsal to do a final walk-through, discuss decor set-up and last minute logistics. Given there was a lot of rain the day before our wedding, Jen suggested we relocate our ceremony location to a pavilion onsite to avoid the muddy grass and it ended up having an even better view of the lake! Jen expertly managed our rehearsal and provided the much needed direction for our family and wedding party.
The day of our wedding, Jen was there to greet all of our vendors and let them know where to set up. We had an issue with a missing piece of equipment that was rented for our wedding and Jen worked with the caterer to troubleshoot and find a replacement piece, doing this all in the background so as not to stress us out. When the caterer started a small fire in the kitchen causing the fire alarm to go off during our reception, Jen jumped right in to identify the issue and spoke with the fire department when they arrived onsite. She even brought down our niece and nephew to get some photos on the fire truck! Even after the wedding day was over, Jen contacted the rental company to request a refund for the broken equipment, which we got as well as an additional discount for the hassle.

So appreciative to Jennifer and Erin for their support on my wedding day in September 2018! I contacted them within months of my wedding day after having very little success communicating with my venue coordinator. I was felt very overwhelmed with the amount of planning, questions, and concerns I had about my wedding day with no one to direct me. That is when I reached out to Jennifer at Otto Events. She not only calmed me down immediately but validated that I was not the only bride in this kind of situation so close to their wedding. She coordinated emails in a professional manner with my venue coordinator to make sure that I had the information I needed to feel comfortable moving forward in the wedding planning process. Jennifer was highly communicative with me, usually responding within hours of my calls/emails. She took the time out of her weekend to walk my wedding venue with me, support me with decor, and offer her ideas/suggestions based off of her experience in the restaurant business. Unfortunately, Jennifer was unavailable to be there for my rehearsal dinner and wedding day (which I had known going in) but her second in command, Erin, was just as accommodating, professional, and reliable. My wedding venue did not offer support with decor and was not willing to allow me access to my reception hall until 10 am the morning of my wedding. Erin came to my Air BNB the day before my wedding to review how I envisioned all my decor to look, she transported everything to my wedding venue the morning of the wedding, and she set up ALL of my decor TO PERFECTION. I couldn't have done it better myself!! Erin also ran my ceremony rehearsal, wedding ceremony coordination, and reception coordination. I am so thankful to Jennifer and Erin for all their support! I would not have been able to relax and enjoy the last few months of the wedding planning process, my rehearsal dinner, or my wedding day without them!!!
Jennifer is INCREDIBLE. My now husband and I both agree that other than choosing to marry each other, she was THE BEST decision we made regarding our wedding day. She met with us in person at our venue months prior to the wedding and made great suggestions on how we could do arrange everything on our big day that we ended up following. The day before the wedding she met us at the barn, directed us all through the rehearsal, and worked with us to finalize everything. She convinced the company we rented our tent from to come back the next day after they had already arrived because she knew the winds would be too strong to set up the tent when they came. They were also our vendor for chairs, so she ended up setting up the chairs and aisle decorations on her own the next day and made it look just how I imagined. She was on top of EVERYTHING that day, and every time I had a panic or looked anxious she was on top of it and guided me. I can't go on enough about how much she did for us to make our big day as stress free as possible, but what meant the most to me was how she handled my maid of honor who panicked before trying to surprise me with a speech and quickly became sick. She handled the situation gracefully and delicately, never made her feel bad, and helped take care of her. I could go on forever about how completely blown away we all were with Jennifer, but I'll summarize it with this...JUST BOOK HER NOW :-)
Jennifer was easy to work with be executed our day of needs without any issues. She worked well with the other vendors and accommodated us throughout the evening. She made sure we were always taken care of (bringing us food and drinks during photo shoot/cocktail hour!)...along with our guests as well. Our wedding day was stress-free, in large part due to Jennifer's positivity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Jennifer was our wedding planner for the day of and helped with the planning for the big day months before! She was amazing I can't brag enough about how wonderful she is at her job. She cares about her couples that hire her and goes out of her way to check on you and the planning constantly. She loves why she does and it shows when she's working!!
I hired Jennifer to be my day-of wedding coordinator and she totally rocked it! I don't know what I would have done without her. It was an outdoor wedding and, with 0-10% chance of rain I (unwisely) decided to risk having the ceremony and dinner outdoors. Of course, it started to rain 10 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start. Jennifer handled everything expertly, even when I started freaking out! She was able to improvise, move the dinner tables indoors, and keep the ceremony as dry as possible. Even though we were on a tight schedule and running late, she did a great job setting everything up, making sure all of the vendors were doing what they were supposed to, and keeping everything running smoothly. I didn't have to think about any of that stuff, which was amazing. When planning the wedding, she was really responsive to all of my questions, had a lot of great ideas, and allowed me to actually relax a little (as much as one can when you are planning a wedding). I would 100% recommend her!
After my first phone conversation with Jennifer, I had no doubt I wanted Otto Events to help plan our wedding! Her attention to detail, creativity, and work ethic are unsurpassed. Jennifer was our day-of coordinator, but she was right there every step of the engagement to answer questions, offer advice, and provide above and beyond assistance. I couldn't begin to fully explain how much Jenn's knowledge, creativeness and professionalism impacted our wedding day. Her extreme attention to detail was what impressed me the most, she was always considering how it would look day of, how it would effect guests. The day of my wedding Jenn was irreplaceable, she really truly allowed me, my husband and my parents to enjoy our time and not worry about a thing. All of the crazy day of questions were directed to her, I did not deal with one problem or concern. As the mother of the bride I found Jenn to be invaluable. We had been planning the wedding for over a year and became overwhelmed with all the details. Jenn was there to offer her support and her professionalism. There were so many details and questions that she brought to my attention that I would have never thought of. As everyone knows, weddings are very expensive. Jenn went through each line item and questioned them and saved my husband and I unnecessary expenditures. Jenn was there to advise on my daughter's wedding shower, and was in the forefront at the ceremony and reception to be sure it went off without a hitch. I used Jennifer to pull together the last month of my wedding and my biggest regret is that I didn't have her from day one! My strong Irish catholic mother was very against having any help and she's apologized over and over ever since! My whole family fell in love with her. From the moment I met her all my anxiety about the day went away, we instantly hit it off and she didn't try to change my carefree wild attitude. She was very attentive but not overpowering and I truly think my wedding would've been a disaster without her. She brought things to my attention that I would've never thought of. I'm grateful that I found her and hope to use her again for other big events! Friends for life!
