I highly recommend doing any of your party planning needs with palace events. The tables, chairs, drapes, photo backdrop & lights was everything we dreamed of plus more. The quality of products was amazing and very reasonably priced. I searched a lot for good pricing and theirs was by far the best! We worked with Mike for our wedding reception, he was very easy to work with and communicated with us through the whole process. He gave us all his guidance and experience to make the day roll smoothly. Palace Events was the most perfect touch to our big day! It wouldn’t have rolled so smoothly without them. Thank you for making our day one to remember!
Palace events was amazing to work with!! They went above and beyond in everything. We had the day of coordinator package, which literally meant I had ZERO stress on our reception day. The set up and tear down of our decor made everything so easy. They packaged up all of our items at the end of the night and made sure we stuck to our schedule. They were able to coordinate with all of our vendors, which was very convenient and easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. They communicated in a very efficient manner, helped us brainstorm and gave us feedback, and were super kind to work with. Would completely recommend, beyond grateful for all they did for us!!
Palace Events was BEYOND amazing. I truly don’t have words to describe how fabulous they made our big day. The organization, the planning & attention to detail, set up & breakdown, communication, etc etc etc. were 12/10 perfection.

My husband and I are the first couple out of our friends and close family to be getting married, and we were a little intimidated by all of the wedding planning. As soon as we started working with Palace Events, we knew we were in great hands! Courtney and Mike helped us figure out everything- from big ideas to tiny details. I cannot imagine planning it all without their help. Sam and her team were so kind and patient at the rehearsal dinner and the day of the wedding. We had a few minor hiccups (like the caterer not bringing silverware and an error with the seating chart), and they a handled it like pros and made sure we didn't have to stress.
Our whole experience with Palace Events was wonderful. We cannot recommend their services more!!
Let me start speaking very generally and say that I HIGHLY recommend Palace Events, especially if you're planning a wedding. Mike and his team are highly professional, organized, and they've thought of everything. They do what they can to help you realize your vision of your wedding, but they're also honest with you about what works and what doesn't work. Trust me- their expertise and experience was really useful for the whole process.
Courtney Kroos was our specific Wedding Coordinator for our wedding (our main contact, manager, person running the show day-of), and let me just say- I literally am writing my first Yelp review ever because I need to praise her. She is EXCEPTIONAL. Not only was she unbelievably kind, organized, and on top of everything- but you can tell Courtney is a really good people person. She's the perfect person for this job. She really makes sure your voice is heard.
We had a small bump in the road on our wedding day (nothing Palace could control- our ceremony venue was having technical difficulties with something). Courtney went above and beyond by going out of her way to make sure that we got back on track and even went back to the Palace Events warehouse to get a projector that our venues couldn't provide. It wasn't in the plan, and it wasn't a huge deal- but Courtney did everything in her power to make sure every tiny detail of the day worked.
Let's be honest- no matter how much you plan, something on your wedding day isn't going to go according to plan. It's important to make sure there are people in your corner who are smart, capable, reactive, and trustworthy. Courtney is all of these things in addition to being an awesome person to work with.
‘Extraordinary; Imaginative; Dependable; Reliable; Innovative; Accommodative; Beyond-the-call-of-duty-all terms applicable to Courtney Kroos, Mike Pohlman, and Palace Events! This past weekend, we had a beautiful wedding at Ewing Manor in Bloomington, Illinois- an outdoor ceremony and reception.
From the initial introductory meeting to the completion and return of the wedding decorations, Courtney and Mike were true professionals- but with the added bonus of great creativity, enthusiasm and endless energy! We had intricate, differing decorations for each table in addition to a multitude of other freestanding props where Courtney used her creativity to place them appropriately at the venue. The setup, incredible wooden tables, chairs, and beautiful clear top tent with elevated lighting added a wonderful ambiance to the entire event.
Changes were made during the venue and Mike/ Courtney/ the Palace staff adapted flawlessly. They were in charge throughout the day, but were invisible to the guests. I did not think a wedding coordinator was necessary for a successful event, but based on this experience, I believe the use of a wedding coordinator is worth much more than can be expressed in this review. We had an incredible, worry-free day, due in large part, to the wonderful organization skills of the Palace organization. We wholeheartedly recommend Palace, Mike and Courtney for any event. They are a great company with a heart for the customer.
We worked with Palace Events for a solid 10 months in preparation for our outdoor wedding on private property in August. From the start, before we had signed anything, Mike was upfront with us about the benefits and challenges associated with what we wanted. Throughout the planning process, Mike and his staff were thorough, clear and responsive. As we got closer to our wedding day, the Palace team was great in communicating what needed to be done and how it’d be accomplished.
Our plan had plenty of challenges -- we were getting married outdoors at a private residence with the ceremony and reception taking place at different locations. Mike and Courtney ensured we had everything covered and a contingency plan in place should anything happen.
On our wedding day, Courtney was amazing as we progressed from the first look to the ceremony to photos and to the reception. She made herself available and checked in frequently to make sure my wife and I were comfortable and aware of the schedule.
Considering we had so much going on every moment of the day, Palace did a remarkable job making things progress seamlessly.
We received numerous compliments on how well-attended to every detail of the ceremony and reception was. One guest, who is also a wedding planner, even made a point to tell us how impressed she was. The Palace team also worked well with our other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page.
We first contacted Palace Events primarily based on all the positive online reviews. We chose to work with them because Mike, Courtney and the rest of the team were experienced, personable and direct. Our wedding day went perfectly according to plan -- thanks to a big help from Palace Events.
I cannot say enough great things about Palace Events! Mike and his team really made our venue stand out. My wedding was at the Marriott and without Palace Events, it would have looked like a conference room. We had the entire room wrapped, lit, and decorated by Palace Events. They also brought in their amazing harvest tables for the head table. We also decided to drape the ceiling with fabric and lights and it was an absolute focal point of the room. The team was exceptional at their follow-through, as well as their attention to detail. We were in contact throughout the planning period, and I never had to stress or worry about anything Palace Events had covered. My sister is using them for her wedding this year (at a different venue) and I cannot wait to see their magic in action again!! Thank you for all that you do! The pictures truly don't even do it justice.
I wanted to say a big "thank you" to Mike and his staff for being an integral part in making Stephanie and Jake’s wedding so wonderful! They were all so easy to work with, organized, timely, and great at communicating with us. The venue looked beautiful and exactly how we had hoped it would. If there were any glitches at all they certainly were not apparent to us. It was SO nice as the mother of the bride to have no concerns the week of or even day of the wedding about the venue or DJ services. I felt very confident leaving everything in your hands and letting you do your thing.The DJs and their extra hands
were amazing. The girls on staff communicated constantly with us thru the night in such a calm, friendly, and enthusiastic way asking any necessary questions. It was unexpected and so helpful! The DJs were professional, did their job, yet

Having Palace Events coordinate our wedding was the best choice we made when planning our wedding. Michael and his team are seasoned professionals who are 100% committed to making your dreams realities. They were always quick to respond to all emails and phone calls, gave great advice, and kept us on track in the planning process. When the day of our wedding came I knew everything would be taken care of and was able to just enjoy the day. The Palace team was right there for everything we needed and took our vision to the next level.
We also rented a lot of their products: tables, chairs, linens, lighting, draping, bars, photo booth, and tent. All their products are great quality and it is evident they take great care of all their rentals. We had so many complements on our wedding and it was due to the hard work of Palace Events! Make Palace events your first stop in wedding planning!!
Palace Events coordinated our wedding in June 2019. Throughout 8 month planning process, Mike and Courtney along with the entire palace events team were extremely responsive, organized, experienced, and mindful of our budget.
We cannot recommend the day of coordinating package enough - it is well worth the money. Leading up to the day, Palace Events would consistently reach out to us requesting information to help us along the way, as well as answer any concerns and provide solutions. They would take the information we provided (timing, vendors, questions, concerns) and provide responses almost immediately. They knew every detail of the day and asked all the right questions.
I went into the wedding with many decor ideas. Mike and Courtney listened, and helped turn my ideas into reality. From tent, to chairs, to lighting, signs, and banners - the wedding looked exactly as I pictured, and along with the help of my parents, all of the decor was out of my hands the week prior allowing me to enjoy the lead up rather than stress about the details. Additionally, all of the items we rented from Palace Events were in top shape, no issues, and everything looked as advertised.
On our wedding day, the forecast did not look good and our wedding was primarily outdoors. The Palace team did not miss a beat. We were able to add a last minute tent to our cocktail hour set up, and walls to our dinner tent. When the weather turned out to be perfect, Mike was already taking the walls of the tent down and providing fans. Throughout the day, Palace Events consistently kept up with us, asking what we needed and thinking ahead to things not even on our radar.
Courtney and Mike are truly outstanding at wedding planning and execution. They went above and beyond any expectation we had regarding an event rental and coordination company. We would not have been able have the wedding of our dreams without the help of Palace Events. Anyone in the central Illinois area is privileged to have a team like this available to them and we recommend whole heartedly.
When we first found Palace Events, we were just looking for a tent company. We didn’t know until we met with Palace that they were much more than a tent company!
They were professional and organized. They were able to show us a layout of the tent and the placement of the tent on the yard where we would have our reception. I have never heard of another tent company doing this.
We were debating getting a wedding planner before meeting with Palace. At our first meeting, they explained that they have a day of coordinating package. We were so impressed with them that we decided to book their day of coordinating package. This was the best decision we made!!
Palace helped us all along the way- they even came to the reception space multiple times! We had our reception at my husband’s parents’ home, so we were very nervous and their visits gave us so much peace of mind! They literally walked through the home with us like our guests would as we planned our reception. They helped us create an itinerary and contacted all of our vendors to coordinate when they would arrive. They also had general tips and advice when we started booking other vendors.
The day of the wedding was an absolute dream thanks to palace events. Everything Palace brought was in excellent condition- tent, tables, chairs, decor and more! I’ve heard horror stories of brides (who used other tent companies) wiping down seats and steaming table cloths the days before their weddings. We didn’t have to worry about any of that with Palace.
Palace brought a team of people! They set up my decor, they coordinated our parking, they directed guests where to go (and where not to go). If there were any problems the day of the wedding, we didn’t know about it! Palace took care of everything.
We need to do a few special shout outs- Mike went above and beyond for us! He’s very creative and analytical. He made sure everything we planned had a purpose and contributed to the reception in someway. My absolute favorite thing about Mike is he’s not flowery or over the top. He’s very calm and collected. He doesn’t throw out ideas from Pinterest- the bride is the one who gets to do that!! Mike has big ideas that are realistic and create an experience for your guests. You need someone like this when you’re planning a wedding.
Courtney made sure my Pinterest dreams became a reality! I told her exactly how I wanted my decor set up and she delivered. She also made sure our day was on schedule, which I didn’t think was possible because we packed a ton into a short amount of time. She made sure everything happened when it was supposed to. If we needed anything, she ran (literally ran) and got us what we needed. She contacted every single vendor to check and see when they would arrive. ALL of my vendors complimented her. They all liked working with her and they were very impressed, which really says something about how great she is!
I would recommend Palace Events for their tent at minimum, but if your budget allows, get the planning package!! Palace Events was worth every single penny. Thank you for giving us the best day of our lives!
Mike and the Palace Events crew did a fabulous job at our wedding. He created the exact vision I wanted while also giving us great ideas and options for our big day. Everything turned out fabulous and Mike was super knowledgable and talented in his line of work. He was also great about allowing my OCD details to work out and do mock work ups of what I was thinking and finding pictures that helped it easier to visualize what he was saying. I would definitely recommend working with them!
We rented just about everything from Palace Events and I couldn’t have been happier!! When I first met with Mike I had this vision in my head from a Pinterest picture and we just took off from there. He is so knowledgeable about the reception space and knows what will work best. When I walked into the ballroom before the reception I was in complete awe. The room was completely transformed and it was even more beautiful than I had pictured. If I had to do it all again I wouldn’t change a single thing. Thank you so much Mike and the entire Palace Events team for making our wedding day absolutely incredible.

Palace provided all my rentals AND did the day-of coordinating for my wedding last month, and they were absolutely fantastic!! I planned my wedding from afar, and I couldn't imagine having to do it without Palace. I did not have one ounce of stress on my wedding day all thanks to them, especially Courtney- she rocked! I wouldn't recommend planning a wedding without them!! Thanks all!!
The entire staff at Palace Events was amazing and without a doubt the best of the best. Trust them and you will not be disappointed. They truly are there to make your day the best day ever. They handled my daughters wedding on 9/8/18 and it was everything we hoped for! They were there from the coordination at the church to the set up at Ewing to the DJ service. I used Palace Events for my wedding and i was beyond satisfied! Mike and his team did an amazing job!! They were able to deliver everything i was wanting and then some. He did a wonderful job helping me paint a picture of exactly what i wanted and was very realistic as to what would work and what would not. Mike was amazing to work with. He was super laid back and easy going. I was able to message him at any time, day or night and he was always available to answer my questions. His biggest concern was about getting everything exactly how i wanted it and not about how much money i was spending! Highly recommend this amazing team!
We recently worked with Palace for our wedding and they were fantastic! We had an outdoor wedding at Ewing so they did all of our rentals and we also used them for their coordinating services. The tent, chairs, and tables turned out great and everything coordinated so well with my wedding color scheme. Their wedding coordinating service made the whole weekend go so smoothly. During the planning process, Palace was available to answer any questions that I had. Then for the day of, they really do take care of everything. They worked with our vendors and made sure everything was going according to the event schedule. They also formed a master schedule so that everyone knew what was supposed to happen and when. Courtney was our main point of contact at Palace and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. Mike is the owner of Palace and he was also great to work with. You can tell that they all take pride in their work and they work very hard. The best part of working with Palace is that they really do take care of every detail so that the bride, groom, and family can enjoy the day!
We hired Palace for rentals (arbor, chairs, lights) and entertainment (DJ and photo booth). Mike and his crew provided wonderful and punctual service in all respects. I highly recommend their DJ and photo booth service. The DJ was very communicative and accommodating throughout the planning process, and the photo booth was a hit with everyone!
Best for rentals in Central IL. They are awesome and easy to work with! Everything looked so beautiful we received sooooo many compliments.

Mike and the entire crew did an amazing job for our Fall wedding. They helped to plan everything and I had 0 worries the day of. Everything was perfectly in place, timing was early and no stress or forgetfulness. Mike gets back to you very quickly and has tons of ideas and vendors that will help with the entire day. I highly recommend them and suggest also adding the day of planner. Worth every penny!

Palace Events completely transformed our venue (DoubleTree)! We did draping behind the head table, uplighting, ceiling draping and lighting. It looked so beautiful and added an immediate wow factor as soon as you walked in. FYI - our DJ ended up turning off some of the lights when it came to dancing. I was not aware of this and thought some of the lights had gone out. I mentioned it to the hotel who actually reached out to Mike. The next morning I already had 2 emails of him reaching out to apologize and then him explaining what happened! So make sure you discuss with your DJ if you want the lights to stay on but I appreciated that Mike went above and beyond to make sure he figured out what happened. Highly recommend them to transform your venue and if you don't have a vision, follow them on social media as they are constantly posting their work!
A little pricey but they are very easy to work with!
Mike helped our thoughts of a dream reception come to life!! They did the draping, and uplighting at doubletree which completely transformed the room. They also brought in their rectangle harvest tables in with their gold chiavari chairs, and we also rented blue napkins from them. That room was absolutely beautiful and I have them to thank for a good portion of that!!
Mike, Kathleen and team were wonderful to work with! They truly earned all stars above...they allowed us to take some table linens to our destination ceremony, helped with rentals/set up at our reception back home, and even let us add on 16 extra chair covering hours before our reception (delivered and placed). We have several other friends and colleagues who have used Palace and have been just as happy as we are...thank you Palace Events and can't wait to work with you for future events!
