djust a lot of the plans and through it all Heather was flexible, supportive, and assured me that I did not need to worry about a thing. The wedding was a huge success, better than I imagined it would be. The food, the service, the table settings, the dessert display, the bar set-up. I loved it all and my guests raved about it. The food was so good. Everything from the appetizers (lasagne rolls!) to the salad and vegetables, to the trip-tip and salmon, to the desserts. Oh and even the bread and garlic-herb butter. Everything was exceptionally prepared and tasted amazing. I highly recommend Heather, Mike and Palate. You will not be disappointed!!

amazing (Yes, we ate at our wedding)! All of our guests commented about how delicious it was. We wanted to have three meat options for our plated dinner and they were more than willing to accommodate us. When using Palate Catering you can customize your menu for what you want. I love this idea instead of being forced to use a "cookie cutter" menu. Our venue was two hours from their location and again, they were more than happy to come to our location. Would highly recommend using Palate Catering for any and all of your catering needs!

have to say is, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY…. If you want to have a disaster of a wedding, go ahead and book them, but if want true professionals, look anywhere but here. Palate Catering was hired for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding, and I can’t believe what a train wreck it was. At the rehearsal dinner, not only was dinner 20+ minutes late to be served (all our guests were just sitting and waiting), they ran out of pork and the last guests did not have anything to eat. The next day at our wedding, owner Mike was a no call, no show, leaving Heather (other owner) to attend solo. Heather showed up and said with a laugh, “I’ve never been here before and I have no idea what to do.” Which was the beginning of the disastrous evening. We paid extra for a specialty bacon bar, which was cleared out in under 10 minutes with one server saying to my MOH, “We didn’t think this would be a hit so we didn’t make very much.” Dinner service was embarrassing, they set the tables with the wrong china (the set it with platters not plates), and served close to no food (we did family style). All of our guests complained of how there was no food and they couldn’t get water. They even had a few under aged bartenders that had no idea how to pour a drink, in fact, they didn’t even set up the bar properly (we had over $500 of mixers that never got opened, as we purchased everything for a full bar) and told our guests the options were hard alcohol straight or beer or wine. We met with Heather and Mike multiple times and it was always a disaster, they could never keep their files straight, or remember the details of our wedding. Mike even texted me the day of my rehearsal and asked for the address of where he was supposed to go! They might make tasty food and win you over with their tasting but their business in ran like a dog and pony show. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and in fact, I hope they go out of business for their lack of professionalism and hospitality. We had multiple vendors complain about how rude Heather was, and my parents are mortified by this companies lack of performance and professionalism. They ruined what would have been a perfect day, and they won’t even acknowledge how poorly it went.

hem cater for the rehearsal dinner, wedding morning brunch, wedding dinner/reception, and post-wedding breakfast. All were different menus, nothing repeated, and everything was fabulous. We had tons of leftovers and by Saturday evening they were ALL GONE. We got raving reviews from out guests that the food was superb - from the delicious appetizers, to the main course. Their staff went above and beyond to make sure that the event went smoothly, often jumping in and doing more than they were supposed to do. They cleaned up quickly and left everything the way they found it. The bartenders were great, mixing drinks for our thirsty guests. As the bride and groom, they made sure to serve us first and that we were never wanting for anything else. Our wedding was a destination wedding, and even just communicating via email and phone, we knew we were in good hands. Everything exceeded our expectations in every way. For any future events or meals in the area, there is no question that we will use Palate Catering again!

talk to other caterers so that I was confident with what we wanted. I knew that they were honest and good hearted people, and they truly seemed to care about us as people and not just as their clients. They made us feel heard and the food was so particular to us as a couple - it was a perfect fit. They were the first vendor we choose for our wedding. My husband and I could not stop talking about how good the food was - even the salad dressings were homemade from their garden! Anyways, we told everyone before the wedding that the food was worth the long drive. Palate Catering Co is located in Auburn and our wedding was in Graeagle, in March, in the snow. They drove all the way up there and were such troopers to brave the cold and road closures. I had people coming up to me and say “This was the best food I have ever had at a wedding.” My brother, who is a big foodie, even said that that was the best cooked meat. Heather and Mike really take pride in their food and presentation - and it was the most beautiful presentation I have ever seen. Also, Heather was 8 months pregnant and she was outside cooking! My husband and I were taking pictures outside for a while in the snow, and Mike came all the way down to where we were to bring us wine and beer so we could warm up a bit:) We truly can't thank them enough. They brought all the linens, silverware, cold drinks, coffee bar, food, appetizers, desserts, and our wedding cheesecake - which was delicious. My husband and I highly recommend you try their cheesy focaccia bread - it is the BEST bread I have ever had!! The servers they brought were so lovely and were always positive. Everything looked beautiful, and I am so grateful for the amazing people Palate Catering Co is and brought with them. We feel so blessed that they were a part of our day and we wish them the absolute best! I will always recommend them for catering. They are going places. ood choices they appeared to have, made it seem like a perfect match. We weren't wrong! They had openings for tasting when my fiancee was in town, and we were so impressed with the delicious food and the great ideas they had for serving our guests. (We were doing a lunch reception and wanted it to be somewhat casual, so Heather and Mike came up with the fantastic idea of doing two carving stations -- one for tri-tip and one for roasted turkey breast -- and letting people build their own gourmet sliders. It was a hit!) Throughout the process of wedding planning, Heather and Mike were both so sweet and amazing, and they kept emphasizing how they wanted our day to be as amazing and stress-free as possible. On the day before the wedding, we were trying to get all the decorating done before the rehearsal dinner but ran out of time due to having to go pick up people from the airport and pick up the cake and wedding dress. Mike, who was there at the time prepping food, told me to not worry about it, as he and Heather would take care of the rest that night. This included completely setting up the head table, the cake table, and the carving/serving areas, as my family and I had only had time to set up the guest tables and the overhead lights. Not only was that very nice of them, but they did such a fantastic job! I was totally blown away by how perfectly they pulled everything together. It looked phenomenal! I would absolutely recommend Palate Catering. Heather and Mike were incredible, the food was absolutely delicious (all of it is sourced locally or out of their own garden), and they are so worth the money. You won't regret having them as your caterers!
