Absolutely Stunning! Al the owner was great to work with and his assistant Amelia was fantastic. They were so much help day of and everything was exactly how I envisioned. Highly recommend booking this venue! It’s also reasonably priced! Theres so many decorations you can use free of charge as well.

The Palmer House Stable is a rustic boutique wedding venue in downtown Solon, IA, just 15 minutes from Iowa City and 17 minutes from Cedar Rapids. This versatile event space dates back to 1838. It features wood ceilings, exposed beams, and industrial-style lighting, together with all the comforts and conveniences you need to celebrate your special day in style.

Palmer House Stable is your one-stop shop for all wedding festivities, including engagement parties, wedding parties, and rehearsals. Host your wedding ceremony (indoors or outdoors), your reception, and a goodbye Sunday brunch all in one place! We offer boutique overnight accommodations just a 1/2 block away at The Literary Hotel, with a wedding suite, bunk room, and king suites.
Our planning professionals are happy to work with you to design an experience that reflects your unique style and vision. Tie the knot inside or outside, where ceremonies of up to 180 can be held on-site. Afterward, enjoy a reception with several catering options available. You and your loved ones can relax by the bonfire into the early morning hours and then retire to the luxurious Hayloft Suite or the boutique Literary Hotel just 1/2 block away. We have plenty of decor items, which are included with your booking, as are tables, chairs, table clothes, a day-of coordinator, and more.
