I had my wedding at Palmettos and before my wedding, I used to eat there all the time and loved it. It is a great place to eat but they were really disappointing for my wedding. First of all, I meet with Brittany the events manager to go over m...y wedding details. For my wedding, I literally had 3 decorations (a sign for the ceremony, candles for the tables, and a photo booth/ with a vase for photo props) She supposedly wrote it all down at the meeting. But even though she's the one you deal with, she does not work the wedding. I don't know if she did not pass her notes along to the on-site wedding coordinator or if she did and the wedding coordinator dropped the ball but when I got to my reception, the photo booth was NOT set up and the photo booth props were just spread all over one of the wooden benches on the deck. I asked the coordinator where the photo booth was, she said "oh, I didn't know what that was, do you still want it set up?" I said yes and she NEVER did it. So, I paid for a photo booth that was never used and I missed out on all those pictures. If she didn't want to set it up she could have told me, I would have had someone else do it.
Also, the manager on duty that night was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. We rented the cottage on the property for the wedding party to get ready. While we were at the ceremony, the manager was at the cottage without anyone from the wedding party (all of our personal belongings were there) and he was just over there looking around. Then he came to the reception and demanded we remove all of our belongings because he claimed he could smell marijuana smoke in the cottage. No one smoked in there, and he had absolutely NO PROOF, so while the reception was going on, two of my bridesmaids and a random wedding guest were forced to remove everything from the cottage. And, if you do plan on getting married there, keep in mind your rehearsal dinner has to be at 3, when Brittany suggested that time to me and I asked if we could do it later, like, at dinner time, she would NOT budge on that time. I never heard of a rehearsal dinner not at dinner time. I spent over $10,000 to get married there and they did a mediocre job at best.
