My fiancé and I moved to Lacombe about a year ago. We made it a weekly tradition to try a different restaurant every Friday for date night. After trying a number of places in the area, we stumbled upon palmettos.
I am a picky eater and I ate EVERY DROP in one sitting. Appetizer, entree, and dessert. We are now frequent regulars.
We love that our waitress (Katie) always remembers our favorite wine and makes our experience so much more special.
Our wedding was even more magical. We married under the Oak tree then had our reception on the back patio. Brittany, Katie, and all the rest of the Palmettos family made our day AMAZING.
Onsite coordination was top-notch! Brittany kept everything running so smoothly I didn’t have to worry about a thing at all. The venue is beautiful, the food is so good and she makes it all so worry-free. Not a single stress!
From start to finish, the events team at Palmettos was absolutely incredible. Our wedding day was a dream, and everything went perfectly, thanks to Brittany and Courtney. The services provided were excellent, and the food was amazing. I recommend this venue to everyone. Courtney was so supportive through the decision-making process, and just beyond attentive the day of the wedding. Every single thing we could have possibly needed or wanted was handled, and she was just wonderful. Brittany was so helpful through the process of planning and provided so many great vendors to help with the planning process. I could genuinely go on forever. If you're looking for a beautiful, dreamy venue with amazing service, this is it!
Palmettos truly made our wedding dreams come true. We had a smaller wedding of 85 people and everything about our ceremony and reception were perfect. Brittany (one of the event coordinators) is who we worked with and she was so attentive the months leading up to the wedding making sure everything was organized and she went above and beyond with confirming/communicating with our other vendors. She was also so attentive throughout the wedding day/night, and I attribute the smoothness of our evening to her and her team. Food and drinks were 10/10! We had such a positive experience and I wouldn’t want to have had our wedding anywhere else.
We had a great experience with our wedding at palmettos, Brittany did a great job in making sure everything we wanted happened, with only a month in planning! The atmosphere of the ceremony and reception was incredible! The food was fantastic, we had no complaints from our guests, the only change, Eric and I would recommend, is adding the reception food down by the pier for the bride and groom with the hors d’oeuvres! Everyone had a great time at our wedding and raved about our venue! We would highly recommend to have your wedding there!
My husband and I just got married at Palmettos this past Saturday night and I couldn’t wait to leave the review. It exceeded all of our expectations. Brittany was so helpful throughout the process and our day of coordinator Courtney went above and beyond for us. She made sure the day went smoothly and without a hitch. I still can’t stop thinking about the food, and we got so many compliments on it! The outdoor area by the oak tree for the ceremony and outdoor reception area is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could do our wedding day at Palmettos all over again!
I had my destination wedding here in November 2022 and it was the most amazing day! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous!! There is so much open space with beautiful lights and surrounded by trees. There are fire pits, two bars and beautiful path to the water. The staff at Palmettos goes above and beyond to accommodate every request. We had about 250 guests and it never felt crammed. The food is absolutely incredible!!! So many people still remind me it’s the best food they’ve ever had!
My son recently had his wedding at Palmettos and I can't say enough good things about this venue. The staff was outstanding and did an amazing job, especially Kiara who was the wedding coordinator, who was able to keep 12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen on time and happy. The food was off the charts and I had guest say they had never had such good food at a wedding before. The venue is spectacular and the cottage was the perfect place to get ready ahead of time.
This place is absolute magical! We had such an amazing time, My brother got married here and you can not beat the amberince, the staff and the food. Awesome place!!
I had a beautiful wedding that my guests loved, but I wouldn’t ever book this venue for anything. There is too much to type here but I’ll give you a quick break down.
Cons
Unprofessional staff /untrained /fake/ disorganized
Expensive for the lack of help/service
Lost power multiple times in the on-site cottage (got a refund but not an apology)
They almost melted my wedding cake
They do not make any accommodations for you or your vendors
They refused to let my florist/decor vendor eat.
They didn’t follow the directions they had
I never felt supported
They didn’t use the alcohol we bought for my husbands signature drink or tell the guests about it.
The things they told us they would do were not done
The group tasting was $50 and it was terrible we had to have a private tasting because I caused a fuss about having bad food at my wedding. The chef admitted it wasn’t his best work.
We lost partial power and music at part of the reception.
All over it was a very disappointing experience for a venue that requires an $8,500 minimum for food and drinks and a 20% service fee. They don’t provide chairs, their preferred vendor list is a joke besides Paul’s pastries our cakes were amazing.
I’m so glad that my wedding turned out well it had nothing to do with the staff at the venue and everything to do with my vendors and the support from my family and friends. It’s sucks that such a cool venue is run so poorly.
I had my wedding at Palmettos and before my wedding, I used to eat there all the time and loved it. It is a great place to eat but they were really disappointing for my wedding. First of all, I meet with Brittany the events manager to go over my wedding details. For my wedding, I literally had 3 decorations (a sign for the ceremony, candles for the tables, and a photo booth/ with a vase for photo props) She supposedly wrote it all down at the meeting. But even though she's the one you deal with, she does not work the wedding. I don't know if she did not pass her notes along to the on-site wedding coordinator or if she did and the wedding coordinator dropped the ball but when I got to my reception, the photo booth was NOT set up and the photo booth props were just spread all over one of the wooden benches on the deck. I asked the coordinator where the photo booth was, she said "oh, I didn't know what that was, do you still want it set up?" I said yes and she NEVER did it. So, I paid for a photo booth that was never used and I missed out on all those pictures. If she didn't want to set it up she could have told me, I would have had someone else do it.
Also, the manager on duty that night was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. We rented the cottage on the property for the wedding party to get ready. While we were at the ceremony, the manager was at the cottage without anyone from the wedding party (all of our personal belongings were there) and he was just over there looking around. Then he came to the reception and demanded we remove all of our belongings because he claimed he could smell marijuana smoke in the cottage. No one smoked in there, and he had absolutely NO PROOF, so while the reception was going on, two of my bridesmaids and a random wedding guest were forced to remove everything from the cottage. And, if you do plan on getting married there, keep in mind your rehearsal dinner has to be at 3, when Brittany suggested that time to me and I asked if we could do it later, like, at dinner time, she would NOT budge on that time. I never heard of a rehearsal dinner not at dinner time. I spent over $10,000 to get married there and they did a mediocre job at best.
Highly recommend having your wedding here! We had the best time of our life. From the atmosphere to the food it was all amazing. Brittany does a great job working with you from beginning to end. My family and friends all said this was the best wedding they had been to! We are so happy we picked palmettos as our venue!
Everything was perfect! We had gotten married early November & even with the weather being slightly cool, it was wonderful. The scenery & setting of this restaurant is spectacular! I like more of a natural look for the backdrop & didn’t have to do any decorating. The patio area & bayou room was perfect for us! The staff was so attentive & kind on the day of the wedding. Working with Brittany made the planning so easy. She had me covered the whole way & my wedding was a breeze! I plan on dining here every year for our anniversary, the food was delicious & suitable for all palates. I absolutely loved my wedding & would recommend The Palmettos over & over again a thousand times!
Palmettos was such an amazing venue and we’re both so happy we had our ceremony and reception here! We were originally planned to have our ceremony under the oak tree , but our wedding unfortunately fell the day after tropical storm Olga, which pushed our ceremony to be on the deck. Brittany and Bridget went above and beyond to try and make our vision a reality under the oak tree, including a plan with dry vacs! But nature ultimately had other plans. That being said, I’m so appreciative of their efforts. And the seamless (at least to me) transition of a last minute move to have the ceremony on the deck. In addition to the flooded yard, the house the girls and myself were going to get ready at had lost power. Brittany came to the rescue yet again and opened the Camellia Cottage to us!
Honestly, you couldn’t go wrong picking Palmettos as a venue for any event. Great food, great staff and a great price. Highly recommend!
The venue was absolutely perfect. The pictures online do not do it justice. The food was top notch. The jambalaya was our favorite! I can’t imagine a more perfect venue for us. There are plenty of hotels and houses to rent near the venue. This was perfect for all of our out of town guests. Brittany was amazing in every way. On our wedding day, she was always in charge and super calming.
OMG!! I can't express how wonderful Brittany and the team at Palmettos are. We got married on 10/12 and it was the most perfect day of our lives. They made the planning process and day of so stress-free. Palmettos is the perfect place for a wedding both indoor and outdoor and if I could do it all over again, I would choose this venue every time!
Picking Palmettos for our wedding venue was definitely the right choice. The atmosphere at this venue is so nice. After our wedding, so many of our friends told us how Palmettos had the best food from any wedding they had ever been to. The staff works very hard to make sure you are happy and comfortable and enjoying the day. If you want a beautiful wedding venue, great food and great people to work with, palmettos is the choice for you.
The Palmettos Staff and Brittany Mott did an amazing job for our wedding reception. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing food the venue is definitely beautiful! I would highly recommend Palmettos to anyone looking to “tie the knot” or if you just want an exceptional meal when you are passing through Slidell.
Palmettos on the Bayou was the venue that provided us with the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding coordinator Bridget was awesome at keeping our wedding moving smoothly and helping us from the planning stages through our memorable night. All of our guests loved the venue, staff and food. The large oak tree with the Spanish moss is the best place on the property to get married. The food was top notch! Definitely get the catfish and try the bread pudding. We heard the most compliments on these two. All in all, everyone throughly enjoyed themselves throughout the night and a ton of awesome memories were made. We highly recommend Palmettos on the Bayou and will return for lunch everytime that we are in the area.
We got married here last weekend and seriously I couldn't find a single thing wrong if I tried. Brittany and her team are SO detail oriented and handle stress while appearing calm. She is assertive when she needs to be to keep things running smoothly. We had a thunder storm threatening during the ceremony and she made high pressure decisions about this so that we didn't have to worry. The staff kept my husband with food and drink in our hands all night. They are seriously amazing. Oh- and the venue is so magical.
If you want a very well-organized, easy-going, stress-free reception... call Brittney at Palmetto's. It's as if she was born to plan and execute weddings and receptions. SHe thinks of EVERYTHING, so you don't have to.
As for Palmettos, it's a one-stop shop! You get the awesome food, the bar set up, the wait staff, the incredible food, and a beautiful venue all in one. I had a daytime Spring reception and it was so beautiful both inside and outside the venue, that we didn't have to bring in any extra decorations aside from the typical reception needs like guest book, etc.
What I love about Palmettos is that it's not one square, stuffy room. Your guests have the ability to move around or sit if they want to, as there is plenty of seating. They can even go down on the boat dock to get some space. It really is meant for events and my wedding was so perfect. I highly recommend Palmettos.
I planned this wedding out of state and everything turned out great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pictures don't do this place justice. There is a bridal suit you can rent for the whole day right on property which is more than most vendors have. For the price and location I can not stress enough to my fellow brides that this is the place to go in Louisiana. It's out of the way of New Orleans, but still close enough to go there. The venue itself is so beautiful that you don't have to spend money on additional decorations. It is the perfect location for many different styles. The wood and lighting are truly magical. It can be rustic/country/bayou/romantic and made to be so many other things. Now the food is something my whole family is still talking about. They couldn't get enough. The menu has many selections and you can not go wrong on any of it.
Palmettos made all of our bayou wedding dreams come true. Our guest are still raving about how beautiful the venue was and even more how GREAT the food was. The coordinator, Brittany, was so accommodating and was always there to answer any of our questions. In the end, we had a beautiful night ceremony under their oak tree, and a dance party reception on the back patio and the Palmettos was absolutely the perfect atmosphere for all of it. I could not recommend it enough to anyone looking to have an authentic Louisiana wedding with great food and amazing scenery.
My wife and I knew from the beginning of wedding planning that we wanted an outdoor venue. There aren’t many options in our area, so we began looking at other destinations. Friends of ours had been to a wedding at Palmettos on the Bayou and suggested that we check it out. It was the first venue we visited, and we fell in love. We booked right then and there. I honestly couldn’t have imagined a better experience with this venue. Our wedding coordinator, Brittany, was so easy to work with. She was so knowledgeable about everything and always took the time to answer every question I had. I was thrilled to learn that Palmettos was now offering the Camellia Cottage for bridal parties to get ready in the day of the wedding. I decided to take advantage of this beautiful cottage for myself and my bridesmaids. It was the perfect setting for getting dolled up and taking pictures. It ended up raining the night before the wedding, but Brittany did everything she could to ensure that we would still be able to have the ceremony by the Oak Tree. It was a truly beautiful afternoon that led into the most perfect evening reception on the deck. Brittany carved out some time for my wife and I to be able to eat and take a few meaningful photographs down by the bayou before the reception began. Our guests could not stop raving about EVERYTHING. They loved the food and drinks, and told us numerous times that this was the most gorgeous wedding venue they had ever been to. Palmettos on the Bayou is truly something special, and we plan to visit again for every anniversary!
I don't even know where to start with wonderful things to say about Palmettos! Everything was perfect from my first visit, the reception, all the way up to our brunch we had the morning after the wedding. Brittany, the wedding coordinator, is AMAZING! She handled everything and thought of every little detail. She also gave us a vendor list of bands, photographers, florists, etc when we first met her and we ended up using almost everyone on the list! Everyone was wonderful and this made planning SO much easier. She took so much stress away and I didn't have to worry about a thing throughout the reception because she had it covered. She is absolutely amazing!
Palmettos is a truly unique, special venue on the bayou that was perfect for my husband and I. We looked at many other places but as soon as we walked into Palmettos we instantly knew this was the venue for us. Everything about it is gorgeous starting from the deck on the bayou, the indoor/ outdoor space (fully equipped for heat, cold, or rain), the lights outside, and the romantic feeling throughout. The food is all DELICIOUS, I have never found anything I didn't like and my family and I have become very frequent visitors. I will be forever grateful that my husband and I found Palmettos and I can't speak highly enough about the wonderful staff, venue, food, and of course Brittany! Our wedding night was perfect!
Palmettos was absolutely incredible and I could not have chosen a more perfect venue for my wedding ceremony and reception! From the beautiful oak tree to the restaurant itself, Palmettos exceeded our expectations. My husband and I were married there last month. The weather was perfect and the whole day went very smooth. Brittany, the event coordinator, was amazing and made sure everything went off without a hitch! My bridal party also took advantage of the Camelia Cottage located right next to Palmettos and it was completely worth it. I really can not recommend Palmettos enough! All of our guests raved afterwards that it was probably the best, most fun wedding they had ever been to. We were so incredibly happy we chose Palmettos to help us celebrate our special day!
Palmetto's checked everything off of our list; good food, beautiful location, professional team, and affordability. Brittany is the event coordinator and was our day of coordinator during the wedding. She made sure we ate, carved out time for us to be alone and made sure that we were taken care of the entire night. Our guest can't stop raving about how beautiful everything was and how excellent the food was; especially the passed hors-d'oeuvres. We originally planned to be married under the oak tree, but the weather decided to not cooperate with our plans. Within 30 minutes they had everything switched to the back deck and it was a seamless transition. I can't recommend this venue enough.
My wedding was October 13th and it was the most beautiful weather for that setting. Brittany made everything so easy. She contacted all of my vendors in the days prior to the wedding and organized things I didn't realize she was taking care of. She was very helpful when there were things I forgot to bring and came to my rescue when other vendors caused a problem. I would highly recommend Palmettos on the Bayou. I'm so excited to see the photos of such an amazing backdrop!
Palmettos was the venue of our dreams! So much more than I ever could’ve imagined! Brittany was an amazing wedding coordinator and runs a tight ship. She makes sure everything happens in a timely, punctual fashion. The food is so much better than your typical wedding food! I can’t say enough about how amazing our experience at Palmettos was!
Palmettos was the first choice we made for the wedding and it was the best choice we made! The venue is breathtakingly beautiful! Better then the pictures or my imagination. The food was delicious, and I honestly do not know how anyone gets married with out Brittany from Palmettos. She was amazing during planning and on our wedding day she was phenomenal! We wish we could give palmettos more stars
I had my wedding here this past October and it was amazing. The venue, the food, the ambiance, everything was top notch. Brittany was the bridal coordinator and she exceed all of my expectations. I felt so relaxed and i was able to enjoy the night just knowing she had everything handled.
I can not begin to tell you how amazing Brittany and the palmetto's team was on my wedding day. My family can be difficult but Brittany made everything flow so easily. There was a threat of thunder storms right before the ceremony under the oak tree and I started to panic. They had the reception area set up in minutes to move the ceremony if it needed to happen. But Brittany didnt let me panic my way out of the ceremony I wanted. She was convinced we could beat the rain and we did. If you want you a coordinator that you can count on and acts like your best friend palmettos is the place to go. The ceremony and reception were beautiful and although it did rain later that night, the rain did not put a damper on the party.
My only complaint is that a lot of the guest had no idea where they were suppose to go before the ceremony so they just kept walking right into the Bridal area were I was getting ready. I dont think this is a fault of palmettos as I should have assigned ushers. But definitely something to keep in mind.
The food was fantastic, beautiful view, and wonderful staff.
If you are looking for a venue with charm, amenities, and an amazing staff, look no further!! Palmettos perfectly embodies the rustic beauty of the bayou with an elegant feel. The Cyprus trees, cafe lights, and gorgeous wooden beamed architecture leaves plenty of decorative options whether you want to go all out or keep it simple. Not to mention the professional and supportive staff of wedding coordinators that help you plan your big day, at no extra charge! The food was fantastic & the open bar option made my guests and myself very happy! My husband and I chose Palmettos because it felt like us. It wasn’t over the top, but that’s what makes it so special. The venue speaks for itself. For the price, the look, the staff, and the package options, the price can’t be beat!
Wish I could give more stars! Our wedding reception was at Palmettos a few weeks ago and everything was perfect. Brittany and staff are sweet, organized, efficient, and absolutely amazing at what they do. We originally considered hiring a wedding planner but decided against it after meeting with Brittany because she makes a timeline, coordinates with vendors, and goes over every detail to make sure everything is how you'd like it to be. This made planning the reception details the least stressful part of wedding planning! It was pouring down raining the day of our wedding and Brittany was confident that everything would be great which made us feel more at ease. When we got to the reception, they greeted us with umbrellas, cocktails, and plates of food at our car since it was raining when we arrived! We had the best time and our guests can not stop talking about how beautiful the deck is and how great the food was!
We had our ceremony and reception at Palmettos on the Bayou in March and everything was absolute perfection. Almost a month later and the guests are still talking about how beautiful and amazing it was. I cannot speak highly enough of Palmettos or Brittany, the event coordinator. She made certain that nothing went wrong that day and most importantly that I always had a drink in hand for when I felt overwhelmed. And the food was delicious! So much so we even came back the next day for the Sunday Jazz Brunch. Besides how great the food is and how incredibly helpful and attentive Brittany is the venue looks stunning in your wedding photographs. I would highly recommend getting married there and having a reception at Palmettos on the Bayou.
This venue was truly a dream come true . I loved every minute of my wedding, Brittany was amazing, she definitely went above and beyond to make sure our night went perfect. Highly recommend Palmettos.
We had our wedding here in October and it was amazing! The ambiance of this venue cannot be beat. We knew we wanted a destination New Orleans wedding and we wanted the traditional French Quarter courtyard until we came across Palmettos. After just looking at the pictures we were sold. Also, it's very affordable. Brittany, the event coordinator, was easy to work with. She was always available when we needed her or had questions, which we had many planning from out of town. The venue is so gorgeous that we only needed minimal decorations. Our wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Brittany was very attentive, checking in with us multiple times throughout the evening. The food was delicious! Our guests were so impressed by the food and ambiance...they still talk about it to this day. Our favorite part is that we can always return to Palmettos when in town for food, drinks and a walk down memory lane. Thanks, Palmettos!
Beautiful, professional, and sublime are words that only begin to describe this venue.
I had the time of my life at my wedding and it was, I great part, attributed to the staff and natural beauty of this location.
The events coordinator treats your wedding with the utmost priority and accommodates to any needs you may have.
I have been told from friends and family across the United States that this was the best wedding they have attended.
I know it was for both myself and my husband.
Wow is all I can say for our experience at Palmettos on the Bayou. I would recommend this venue again and again. Brittany, the wedding coordinator, is more than a bride could ever ask for. She pays close attention to details and takes a timeline serious to ensure everything runs smoothly. We had an unexpected winter wonderland on our wedding day, and Palmettos closed down their restaurant and gave us and our guest access to the entire venue. They go above and beyond to make your wedding day perfect. Thank you Brittany & the staff at Palmettos for making 12,08,2017 the most unforgettable day.
Palmettos made my intimate august wedding amazing. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was rustic and serene, and the staff was wonderful.
I cannot speak highly enough of Palmetto's. We had our ceremony and reception here and everything was perfect. We got married here in April, which the weather was perfect and the scenery was in full bloom and beautiful. The food at this venue is incredibly delicious, we will be coming back for our anniversaries and date nights for years to come. Brittany, the coordinator, did an incredible job. She was easy to talk to and come up with ideas, she communicated very well and responded quickly when I had questions, and she did a great job of making sure everything came together seamlessly even though we had an separate intrusive wedding coordinator get in her way. Palmetto's was beautiful and amazing and looks great in our wedding photos too!! I would highly recommend getting married here and having a reception at Palmetto's on the Bayou.
We had a beautiful and flawless wedding at Palmetto's in April. The staff and food were great! Our guests had great time! The memories are priceless.
We couldn't have picked a better venue for our daughter's wedding last week!!!! it was great!! the ceremony was at sunset in the back deck with the view of the bayou, and as the sun down the ambiance for the reception got even better. It was a bit cold since it's was February 4th, but they had heat lamps that kept everyone comfortable. Brittany did a great job coordinating everything, the food was great, drinks, music and service werr wonderful. We had many family members coming to Louisiana for the first time and we all had a blast. We recommend including the charbroiled oyster bar!!
We LOVE Palmettos!!! We had our wedding there and also our rehearsal dinner there and both were absolutely perfect! Everything was so beautiful, the staff did an amazing job with everything, the food was the best ever. Brittany and Chardae were the best event coordinators we could have asked for. Every single detail was truly perfect and we thank you SO much for making it a night we will never forget. I highly recommend Palmettos for weddings, parties, dinners, anything! Y'all are the best, thank you for everything!!!
love it
I was an out-of-town bride from San Diego, planning a destination wedding in New Orleans. My husband and I are both very happy we chose to have our ceremony and reception at Palmetto's on the Bayou! Working with Brittany, the event coordinator, made planning so much easier. She was very helpful with providing suggestions and returned my emails promptly. The venue is absolutely beautiful for a day or night event. My theme had a vintage-rustic vibe and Palmetto's was perfect for creating the right feel. Also THE FOOD was amazing! I am a vegetarian and they worked with me to create a menu that would please everyone and I was very happy with how it turned out!
We are so happy we had our reception at Palmetto’s! Our church was in New Orleans so we were on the fence at first but we both loved the venue; there was no way we could pass it up! Upon arriving all of our guests agreed it was definitely worth the drive (Hotard Coaches provided reliable transportation for us and our guests)! The food, service, and beautiful view made for an unforgettably gorgeous and unique reception! Brittany was very professional during the planning process and always responded to emails and phone calls promptly. On the day of she made us feel like royalty and made sure we were very well taken care of. Brittany was very flexible and accommodating to our décor and floorplan desires. Our reception started in daylight so I was worried that guests might not dance very much but we used their in-house DJ (Donovan with On Fire Entertainment) and he was great and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire reception! It was so nice to have the flow of both indoor and outdoor space. Fishing off the dock and having a boat sendoff were a few perks of this venue we wouldn’t have been able to do anywhere else! Thank you to Brittany and everyone at Palmetto’s for a fabulous reception enjoyed by our families, friends and us that will be a forever treasured memory!
We had our rehearsal lunch and Wedding at Palmettos. Everything was perfect!! We had to move our ceremony inside due to bad weather but it still turned out amazing! Brittany was on top of everything and on point! The staff was great, the food exceptional and the place just speaks for itself! My guests are still raving about this beautiful venue.
Do not have your wedding reception here you will be disappointed. The bar was not set up when the guests arrived, 2 ceilings fans were out and yes it was very hot, the food was average, food service was a cluster and one coordinator went home and the other disappeared for nearly the duration of the reception. The icing...they spelled the groom's name wrong.
Palmetto's was an amazing setting for my June 2015 wedding. The weather was perfect to enjoy the bayou. Brittany Mott, the in-house wedding specialist, was patient, kind, and professional. Thank you Brittany and Palmettos for making my wedding a success!
I loved everything about our wedding! Brittany was amazing. She was very helpful and organized throughout the entire process. All of our family and friends are still talking about the food and how beautiful everything was.
I could not have imagined a more beautiful and eloquent ceremony/reception. The bridal assistant, Brittany, was incredibly efficient and effective - two things I very much needed in those crazy last few weeks. The staff - waiters, bartenders, etc - went above and beyond - and the scenery... just wow. Beautiful. The outdoor deck is cypress with its own private bar and dance floor, with a very large, very quiet, super-chilling fan positioned over it and the ceremony area. We had the ceremony on the cypress deck, but the oak ceremony site is gorgeous, too. There's a dock on the bayou that has a wood walkway up to the main seating area, too. I would do it again here over and over and over if I could, and will absolutely be hosting our major anniversary parties here.
This venue was perfect. The minute I scheduled a walk-through with Brittany, I was taken away. I could already picture my night. How I pictured it, did no justice on how it actually went. It was beautiful. My out-of-town guests were taken away and were in awe with the venue, service and food. They really gave a southern vibe to my guests who have never been here before. Everything ran smoothly and I couldn't have found a better venue for the price with the food and bar included. I feel they went over and beyond. I appreciate them and all they provided my guests and I.
My daughter had a beautiful wedding at Palmettos a week ago! This venue was absolutely wonderful! She had a ceremony under the enormous oak tree with Spanish moss and the reception was inside and outdoor patios. The dance floor was set outside on the patio and it was very romantic in the evening. We had rented the entire facility, all to ourselves so we even had two open bars which all our guests loved.
Their event coordinator, Brittany was fantastic throughout - every time my daughter or I had questions, we just e-mailed her and she responded so fast and she always had answers for us!
The foods are delicious, too. Everything tasted great especially everybody loved the prime rib curving station.
Kudos to the Chef and his kitchen staff!
We also are very impressed by the entire serving and bartending staff at Palmettos. They were very professional and so pleasant!
My daughter and son-in-law were very happy bride and groom at this venue!
Let’s see where do I begin…I found Palmettos on The Bayou as I was getting lost with my Future mother in law in Slidell and saw the sign and it peaked my curiosity as to what this place was. So I looked them up online and saw that they did weddings and we scheduled a meeting with the event coordinator the next week and I knew from the minuet that I pulled onto the gravel road by the big tree with spanish moss I was hooked! I knew this was the place that I wanted to have my wedding. So then it was on to the next thought okay is this place going to meet my requirements for my wedding venue. 1- Had to be outside with the natural beauty as a back drop (preferably on the water) 2- top shelf open bar 3- laid back atmosphere 4- Reasonably Priced 5- Good Food. I can honestly say without ANY hesitation that PoB delivered on every single one of my top wedding categories and even past my expectations. Brittany the event coordinator was SO amazing anytime I had any questions or need help or threw a crazy wedding idea at me she said yes…even when I thought…no way are they going to let me do this. I had so many compliments from “this is the most beautiful wedding I have been to” to “ no we don’t want to leave yet we are having so much fun” to “ we plan on coming back to PoB again for the food.”
Long story short there are not enough words to describe this place you really need to go check it out for yourself!
We couldn't have picked a better place for our wedding to be held! We loved everything about Palmetto's. Funny thing I lived in Slidell my whole life and found Palmetto's online (of course I heard about it, but never went) and decided to set up a meeting for being a venue option. We went and the rest is history. It was our first place we looked, actually the only place we looked and we were dead set on it. We got married March 8,2014 under the beautiful tree in the front, and rented the whole facility for the reception. Everything from Brittney, the wonderful coordinator, to the food, service, drinks, atmosphere/environment, it was all perfect. Brittney was a huge help, anytime I needed anything leading up to the wedding, to the day of the wedding having it all flow just so. One of my favorite things about having our wedding at Palmetto's is that we can actually go back and enjoy the place we got married. We plan on going every year for our anniversary. Most places are strictly a venue but since Palmetto's is a restaurant as well, we get to go back and enjoy it whenever we'd like.
My husband and I absolutely loved our reception at Palmetto's. Brittany was our coordinator and she made everything so easy. And if you're looking for pretty pictures Palmetto's is the place. Also if you're worried about the weather, they have air conditioning outside and they can close in the dance floor area if it rains. The food was great too. All of our guests told us how delicious it was. We were too busy to taste it the night of our wedding but Brittany put some of everything and some cake in a to go box for us. It really was great, I suggest it for any couple. Here's a one of our favorite pictures in front of the venue (If the link works)

My husband and I were married 12/28/2013. We were looking for an indoor/outdoor venue and Palmettos was perfect. WE LOVE PALMETTOS!!!!! During this time the weather was cold and rainy and Palmettos was able to keep all of us warm and dry even for our beautiful photos. We rented out the deck and the restaurant and it was perfect for all of our guests (around 110 guests). There were people outside dancing and inside eating. There was enough space for all our guests to be comfortable and not on top of each other. The bar was AMAZING!!! Best mixed drinks I have ever had and all of my friends and family agreed. A few months before the wedding we were able to do a food tasting and pick out our menu. Everyone was very accommodating and the chef even came out to talk to us to get feed back. The food is to die for and at the price you get it all for is amazing. The chef came out during the wedding to make sure everything was perfect for us. The event coordinator was able to pack all of our stuff up and keep track of everything for us. It was amazing having the coordinator there because she was always keeping me on schedule and checking in on my husband and I. They do require the extra charge for them but honestly she deserved way more than what they require. She was one of the best things about my wedding. My family doesn't have a lot of money and we had to keep things as cheap as possible and because we did the wedding around Christmas time they already had the place dressed up in lights and decorations. But even throughout the year decorations are not needed in palmettos because its already so beautiful!!!! Everything beyond perfect!! I couldn't have asked for more. :) I still get family members and friends telling me today how much fun they had and how everyone and everything at Palmettos was to perfection.
Thank you Palmettos we had so much fun!!

Thank you so much for everything you all did to make my daughter’s wedding and Reception so beautiful! You all spent so much time and worked so hard, and you made everything so much easier for us. Brittnay and Ashley made everything seem effortless. You provided us with everything we needed, to include excellent suggestions for the cake, DJ, rentals, and photographer. You and your staff were so professional and gracious to work with. Vinnie, your general manager, was so kind and made us feel like family. We truly felt like our wedding was as important to you as it was to us. That is a rare quality.
Palmetto’s is such a beautiful environment. The outside reception area was so gorgeous! My daughter’s arrival by boat and scenic walk to the reception tent was complimented by hanging chandeliers and beautiful greenery that brought the area to a warm and cozy feeling. The bar area and food area were so functional and convenient for all of our guests. The food was absolutely amazing and many of our guests had taken more than one trip to indulge in the savory food choices. All our guests complimented everything about the reception and had nothing but glowing reports about the evening. The place had ample parking and its proximity to the interstate made it an excellent choice for out of town guests.
Palmetto’s on the Bayou is truly a hidden jewel. Hopefully it will become THE most popular location on the north shore. Guests will be awed by the experience.
My husband and I used The Palmettos as our wedding venue. It was simple and easy! All we had to bring was our wedding cake and decorations! It sits right next to the bayou and is great for pictures!
