Luckily, we were able to find the perfect venue, not only from intense research, but also through visiting Palos Verdes Golf Club. First of all, the coordinator Jordan is a pleasure to work with- responsive to emails, knowledgeable about what the club offers, and professional without being standoffish. She remains calm, cool, and collected regardless of what I am guessing is a large clientele and was able to customize our wedding a bit. I would work with her again in a heartbeat! The golf club itself has a very nice flow with new renovations completed during covid. Outside there is a beautiful grassy area with twinkly string lights and a succulent wall for photos. Inside is a foyer with a contemporary bar. Upon entering the grand ballroom is a magnificent view of the golf club, ocean, and city. The golf club is also located a bit more inland, so you still have the nice view without the chilliness of being right on the water. Overall, I highly recommend using this venue as your wedding/reception venue as Jordan is a pleasure to work with, and the venue is absolutely stunning with an easy-to-figure-out flow.

, over the 2 years of planning we had 3 different event coordinators with PVGC and all 3 were really fantastic. Heidi, Jordan, and Megan were all so attentive, responsive, and totally on it! They even offered us the option to move the entire event outside to make us and our guests more comfortable during covid. The service the night of was wonderful, and our guests kept commenting on how hard-working and attentive the staff was, and everyone kept raving about how incredible the food was for days to come! The venue and views were absolutely stunning. I really couldn’t believe the value we got as it was a bit more affordable than other venues we’d looked at in the area. Highly recommend PVGC for your wedding! Big thanks to all for making our day so wonderful.

The views are beautiful and the color palette is very neutral so you are able to bring your vision to life. We enjoyed the indoor-outdoor options of the reception space for our June wedding. We used the outdoor space for the cocktail hour and then later in the evening for a cigar bar. We highly recommend Palos Verdes Golf Club! They helped to make our reception a night to remember for all.

d at. We looked in and out of the Palos Verdes area and nothing seemed to compare. What sold me most about this venue was the ample space we had both indoor and outdoor and that we were basically the only large party in the golf club. I didn't want a venue that made me feel like we were in a box, but because there was so much space, it was absolutely perfect. We had 220 guests with the estates package, a flower wall outside, and a food truck for after the reception. Donna Myers is the main coordinator there and she was a pleasure to work with. My only gripe was the carpet, but with some decorating, it really transformed the room and you wouldn't even notice it. It was pretty pricey, but it was definitely worth it. It feels classic and luxurious and doesn't have that banquet room feel like other golf clubs. Wish we could do it all over again... that day was went by so fast!

I'm big on customer service, and their wedding coordinators promptly answered any questions, and made it very easy and seamless to plan my wedding, which I did by myself, no wedding planner. I highly, highly, highly recommend this venue. It is classy and will make for an incredible evening.

le - from Jordan, the Event Coordinator to all the wait and chef staff. Being Thanksgiving weekend, we choose a buffet brunch so guests had many options. The food was delicious and beyond plentiful. We arrived 40 minutes prior to our event, and the Montemalaga Room was ready to greet our guests with everything beautifully in place, just as we'd discussed. Many of our guests commented on the delicious food, lovely venue, and gracious staff. I've never written a review before, but I feel Palos Verdes Golf Club warranted my glowing recommendation.

The reception area with the all the natural light looking over the golf course was wonderful as well. It was a once stop shop for us with the ceremony outside and reception inside. The only thing is we would have hired a day of wedding planner on our own to be there from start to finish. The venue gives you a day of planner who does assist you throughout the planning process but they are not there the entire time, meaning start to finish. On the day of we found out mid way through our reception that they were leaving. Had I known that I would have hired my own day of planner just to have someone there to make sure the small details you want happen and things run smoothly. At the end of our wedding certain things that happened could have been avoided I believe had I had a true all day planner there. Overall though it was a great day and all the major events went off without a hitch and the day and place will be something I will never forget. Thank you.

the food was the best we had tried compared to other venues in the area. Their packages made it easy for us to choose vendors such as their relations with cake vendors. Our coordinator Valerie couldn't have been more helpful. We did not have a wedding planner but she fulfilled many of the wedding planners duties. She was very helpful with suggesting vendors such as Vox DJs which we had a positive experience with. She set up all the decorations we had. She brought up questions that we didn't think of that were very helpful and she was really the one to make the day go very smoothly. She was very responsive and helpful any time we had questions. They generously allowed us to set up a photobooth and extra room outside of the Malaga cove ballroom. There's was ample room for all our guests. He was so pleasant, accommodating and most importantly an extremely talented Chef. He had wonderful ideas and was always easy to get in touch with. Chef Milan was able to accommodate the 3 menus we chose to serve our guest. The service was impeccable and the courses were served to our guests in a timely fashion. Peter Lam was professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. His pleasant and accommodating disposition made dealing with the PVGC smooth and pleasant. We were always respected and felt like one family while dealing with everyone at the PVGC. I would highly recommend the Palos Verdes Golf Club as a venue for your wedding or function. I have no complaints or regrets whatsoever with how my wedding turned out and I have had many compliments. I have learned a beautiful wedding does not have to cost an arm and a leg! It is definitely worth looking into to compare the value with other venues vs. what Palos Verdes Golf Course has to offer. utdoor ceremony space is beautiful with sweeping views of the ocean, Malibu, and even downtown. The main reception hall has floor-to-ceiling windows with the same view. As my Dad said, "it's a wow!" The food at PVGC is excellent and the portion sizes are very generous. The staff, notably Wendy and Jordan, were there every step of the way to help us plan our wedding and make sure things went smoothly the day of. They helped our wedding We highly recommend PVGC as a wedding venue to everyone!

feel anything like this was a service transaction or such. Second, yes, the venue is expensive and we kind of underestimated what it would take to reach the minimum. One advice is to add 30% for the various service charges/taxes on top for planning purposes. But what I'll say is that everything we got was what I would expect from a 5-star hotel and they did everything to make us happy and work with us on different ways to get to the minimum - Valerie and also Jordan are both very friendly and willing to work with you. While the place is upscale and expensive, it doesn't feel snobbish or have that air of exclusivity. The seafood display had the most compliments and was completely devoured once we came from our photo shoot down in the lagoon. The sea bass was incredible! It was soft, succulent, and full of flavor - definitely sets the high bar for fish. Also, people really liked the coffee bar and the many different flavors of coffee and tea. They were also good with letting us store our wedding materials the day before and after the reception. Also, the bridal tower wasn't being used and the venue was kind enough to let us store my dress and other accessories during the reception. Additionally, the venue has a bird's eye view of The Strand and the beach areas of Redondo, Hermosa, etc. It provided such a beautiful backdrop. We had family fly in from everywhere, and they were amazed at the scenery, the houses, and seeing a small lake on the golf course. It was so funny. The catering staff actually brought out a small plate of hors d'oeuvres for us to eat (bacon and scallops, the ahi tuna, and crab cake were so so good, especially the ahi tuna) while we traveled on the back of a golf cart for our photos. After we were done with pictures, we had 3 ducks trailing our golf cart around the tee and then to the golf cart path... I'm sad we didn't take pictures of our duck attack;) While there were specifics on outside vendors, they were good with working with us, so we understood the rules. We used taskrabbit to have someone deliver several cups of milk tea with boba and pudding. The wait staff was great with separating the milk tea out to refrigerate and later serve in a large dispenser, then separating the boba and pudding separately for guests to serve themselves. Overall, while PVGC was expensive, we are both so happy we booked the venue, that we were able to work with such a great team, and look forward to bringing some of our closest friends and family back to the venue! If you want the best without compromise, PVGC provides everything we could have possibly wanted.

We went with a very elaborate package, but it included so many wonderful items -- it was truly worth every dollar. The venue is gorgeous, and everything is right there for you so guests don't have to travel far from ceremony to pictures to cocktails to dinner and dancing. The set up was beautiful, and we were so blessed to have the wedding on a sunny day with killer views. The staff of PVGC took care of every last detail -- beautiful chairs, sign-in table, refreshment stand, gift table, reception card table, cake tables, candy station tables, etc... The bride's room was stocked with fruit, champagne, waters, chocolates. The room was more than adequate to hold a bride, six bridesmaids, a photographer and some excited relatives going in and out. The appetizers, salads and meals,the bar were out of this world! Everyone was so happy with their dinners! It truly made us so happy that they were so happy! A cake is included in the package. Our daughter opted for Torrance Bakery who provided an amazing four-tier cake! The bakery works with PVGC often so they know how to get there, where to set up, what to do. One less thing for us to worry about! All our other vendors were very please with the hospitality and professionalism when coming to set up. Everyone got along great which made it so comfortable for us! The servers during cocktail hour and dinner were so very attentive and polite. It really made us proud to have them a part of such a special day. Our daughter and new son-in-law were so very appreciative and happy that they chose PVGC. They felt so relaxed and happy because Jordan and Wendy worked hard to make things run so smoothly. The ballroom was gorgeous and the dance floor was perfect for many guests to dance. We seriously danced ALL night! It was so much fun! The only problem with PVGC is the night went too fast. We wish it could have lasted longer! Another very nice attribute of PVGC is they have a large and well-lit parking lot right next to the club. It's flat, accessible for handicapped, and close. Very important detail if you have elderly guests. I'm sure I'm forgetting several items, but all in all, we were very pleased with PVGC!!!

I LOVE this venue, it was my first option and after searching multiple venues, we came back because it's obvious that it's the best venue in the South Bay for the price. Working with Jordan Davis is a must - she made the process very easy to digest and stress free. Because of her help the couple of months leading up to the wedding, we only needed to hire a day of coordinater. The big day was far beyond my best expectations, and it because of the professional and experienced staff we were able to execute a beautiful, classy unforgettable day for all our guests. Thank you PVGC!

We had our initial consultation in the middle of 2013 and were planning to have our wedding in early 2014 but availability, our indecisiveness, and other factors led us to choose Aug 2, 2014. Throughout this process, Valerie (our site manager) was calm, kind, and patient with us and helped us choose the right date. Once we got our date, the whole process went smoothly. Valerie kept us updated about upcoming events, deadlines, etc and helped us get ready for things to come in preparation of our wedding. She was more than helpful and patient with us. On the day of the wedding, everyone was so professional, prepared, and the whole night went smoothly. From getting ready, taking pictures, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception- everything went so well and all of the staff were helpful and accomodating. The dinner entrees were also very delicious and filling. We had the salmon and peppercorn new york loin and both tasted very good. Thank you to Valerie and all of the staff for their amazing work and help on our wedding day! We had an amazing time!

ing wedding. My fiance (now husband) is Indian and wanted to have a family style Indian menu for his guests. The chef was able to accommodate all of our requests and everything turned out so nicely. We also had a food truck come during cocktail hour and frozen yogurt catered as a late night snack. The venue is so beautiful and the layout creates a nice flow for the guests. I can't emphasize how easy and pleasant it was to work with Valerie and her staff at PVGC. Our guests raved about the food (the American plated dinner was steak and salmon (duet)) and scenery. I'm SO glad to have had our wedding at PVGC.

All the planning for our wedding was done from Florida, so, you can just imagine how stressful was at the beginning to find the perfect venue. We were supper glad to have found Valerie at PVGC, she was willing to help us with every single detail. Jordan also was of great help for the few times Valerie was out of the office. Based on their original quote given, it was within our budget. The day prior the wedding Valerie told us that she had made a slight mistake in the original quote, and there were going to be a credit to the account that we had already paid! We were very pleased with the honesty, and unconditional support. We received the credit to the account a few days after. The wedding day was perfect! (BTW, we did not have a wedding planner), but with Valerie's help everything came together very nicely :) Its worth the call, and the visit to PVGC! Hope this helped :)

The outdoor area where the wedding took place has the best view of southbay up to Malibu with the golf course behind you, and it comes out amazing in photos. What was so important to us was the flow of the venue from how guests enter, to where cocktail hour is and into the reception. It was effortless and made total sense. There is also no stairs that guests need to worry about which was important for my older guests. Everyone from the bartenders to the waiters to the sales office and catering were so nice, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We worked with Valerie from beginning to end and I couldn't have asked for a better event coordinator. She did absolutely everything she could to make myself, my husband and my parents happy with every choice we made. She has such a happy disposition and such a pleasure to work with, I highly recommend her! The photos we have to show for the day speak for themselves about the venues beauty and elegant upkeep. They arrange for a golf cart to take the bride/groom and photographer down to a lake on the golf course to get as many photos as you want. Some of our best photos came from those locations! We have heard nothing but compliments from our guests about how beautiful the wedding was and what a great venue we chose! Palos Verdes Golf Club was the absolutely perfect setting for our wedding and I wouldn't change that for the world! Thank you Valerie and PVGC!

I highly suggest having a wedding or event here. The food was excellent! We had many guests coming to us and telling us that this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! We also just loved the location, it was easy to find and yet it was private enough to hold an intimate wedding reception. They gave us a golf cart to take pictures out on the golf course and made sure we had everything we needed for our big day. I can't thank the ladies enough at PVGC for helping make our big day special. Again, I highly recommended this place for a special event!

I have to admit that when I first visited this place, I already dreamed about having my wedding here at the cute wooden gazebo on the beautiful grass overlooking the ocean and I am so glad my dream actually came true. Every staff here is very friendly and helpful and our venue/catering coordinator Valerie is exceptional. She is always so accommodating to every special request from us and patiently dealt with all the changes I made during the planning process, and trust me my husband and I changed back and forth a lot just to make our parents happy... So why spend so much more at Terranea and Trump, when you can get the same ocean view, easier parking, and the most importantly a LOT more privacy at the PV golf club with a LOT less money? To this day, our guests still couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the venue is! My favorite part is their bridal suite and the beautiful scenery for photo-shoot. Give Valerie a call and then pay them a visit, I promise you will instantly fall in love with it! =)

u can feel the history of PV when you are there, but they have updated some parts to give it a modern-elegant feel. The view from both the courtyard (ceremony area) and ballroom (reception) were of the Ocean/South Bay/Malibu and Rollings Hills of Palos Verdes. It was breathtaking. Everyone really enjoyed the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception as it was such a pleasant ambiance. There are a variety of beautiful areas onsite to take photos: elegant ballroom with chandeliers, the front of the building, rose garden, golf course (with ponds, flowers, trees in the background) & of course plenty of areas where you get an ocean view! This location also has a private bridal suite upstairs where I got ready with my bridesmaids and relaxed until I walked down the aisle. They let us show up 4 hours early. There are plenty of mirrors/chairs for all the girls so there was plenty of space. PVGC brought us snacks and champagne. The suite has it's own private bathroom. You can use the room all day to keep your things until the wedding is over. We worked with Valerie, the venue's coordinator who went above and beyond in her role. Everything from: preparation, day of, professionalism and kept the most positive/supportive attitude to my fiancé (now hubby) and I. She covered all the details and was available throughout the entire preparation and day-of to help with any last minute requests/changes. Regarding service - They are a well-oiled machine as a majority of the servers have been with the company for years, so they are on it! Drinks, food, bussing tables, etc! We were happy and our guests were happy. PVGC gave us plenty of food options, and even let us do an extra tasting - so that we could ensure we were picking to proper meals for our guests. We heard from a lot of our guests that it was the best wedding food they have had! Palos Verdes Golf Club truly gave me a first class wedding & my guests a very memorable day. They will work with you on packages to give you the pricing/options to suit your budget. There may be cheaper options out there - but if you want quality - it is well worth every penny!

The chef prepared all of the dishes we asked for and gave us his personal attention during the tasting. The guests loved the duet of chicken and fish that the chef helped us choose. The servers were fantastic. They made sure the wedding party did not miss out on hors d'oeuvres during photos. They were quick serving the food during dinner and were very attentive to our needs all throughout the night. My husband and I highly recommend the Palos Verdes Golf Club.

owever being that my now husband grew up in Palos Verdes he was insistent that PVGC was just extra special. I took his word and one look around the property I was in love! PVGC not only has exquisite views but the gardens, ballrooms and bar area, golf course are gorgeous. From the beginning to the end of our planning we were treated so lovely~ it was honestly very stress free! I'm serious. :) I absolutely loved working with Jordan Davis!!! Jordan is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, detailed oriented, accessible and never missed a beat with all of my questions. Jordan made me feel relaxed and whatever I needed or Envisioned for our day she would help to make it happen. Jordan helped to make our day what it was and we are forever grateful. She's the absolute BEST!!! The day of our wedding things went off without a glitch! I can honestly say that everything I had outlined and planned with Jordan at our final meeting happened. Every detailed thing was set out just the way I had asked and I really didn't worry about anything. Some have said that I wasn't a typical bride... I was pretty stress free during our planning but I tell them that is because of the vendors I used. I fully trusted Jordan and PVGC and that made me feel so at ease. The entire night until our last dance was just so wonderful~ so much fun!! We had so many guests tell us how good their food was ( Tri tip and chicken Madeira were our choices!) and how friendly staff was if they needed anything. Like I said earlier~ I wasn't your typical bride~ my focus was on relaxing, dancing the night away and just being married!!! To all the brides reading this~ don't sweat the small stuff, enjoy your time and if you're looking for the best overall venue for either your wedding, reception or both look know further. Again, Valerie was just such a delight to work with and made our wedding day so special! I definitely feel that we got our monies worth having our reception at the P.V.G.C. and I would recommend it 100%!

One thing to note: I planned my wedding myself and did not have a wedding coordinator to help with vendors and organizing the timing throughout the day. I would recommend hiring a coordinator or asking for help from family members if you're planning the event yourself as it would have a bit less stressful. At the time I had my wedding the venue did not offer a wedding coordinator in their package.

dding. 1. Venue: Outdoor Ceremony Area. PVGC has a beautiful outdoor ceremony area. There is a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and city-scape. Since the weather is often perfect in Southern California, this outdoor area is ideal. They also have a lovely gazebo, which can be decorated as you'd like. The venue takes care of all set up with nice white folding chairs. Finally, though the area is grassy, there is a cement path for walking down, so feel free to wear heels! 2. Venue: Reception Ballroom. The ballroom held our 225 guests comfortably. There is flexibility with table sizes, so you're not limited to just one amount of guests per table; you can mix and match. The room has floor to ceiling windows along the "view" wall, which shows a lit up Los Angeles once the sun goes down. Gorgeous! Note that there is a pretty distinct style in the ballroom (i.e., wooden beams and patterned carpet), but if you're planning to bring in chairs/linens/lighting, you can make it work for your own style. Also, the bar area, in a separate room, is huge! 3. Staff. Unbelievably professional and accommodating!! Jordan Davis, our main contact, was such a pleasure to work with. She and her team worked with our vision for every single detail. They truly went above and beyond, even if something wasn't explicitly stated in our contract. There was never a cause to worry about nickel and dime-ing, because of the caliber of the facility. Finally, we felt comfortable reaching out to Jordan about any and all questions. She was timely and detailed in her responses, which helped the planning process. 4. Food. PVGC does their own catering and the food at our wedding was so delicious!! We went with the Rack of Lamb and Pacific Sea Bass options, and the butternut squash ravioli for the appetizer, which were all so amazing! 5. Bridal Tower. I have to mention this, just because it was such an unexpected bonus. There is a room for the bride located up a staircase. The room fit all of my 8 bridesmaids, my mom, two hair/makeup ladies, and my photographer all very comfortably. PVGC even served us chocolate covered strawberries and champagne while we were getting ready. There was also a separate room for the boys, for when they arrive. I cannot say enough good things about Palos Verdes Golf Club. You cannot go wrong with this place!

My mother-in-law has also informed me that she got a thank-you from some of the guests on their side for inviting them because it was such a treat to see. We used four areas of the clubhouse: the Altamira Tower for the bride and bridesmaids to prepare before-hand, the garden for our ceremony, the Lunada Bay room for our cocktail hour, and the Palos Verdes Grand Ballroom for the reception. All four areas were available to us for the entire evening. We were also allowed, with our photographer, to take a golf-cart ride down to the gorgeous lagoon that is visible from the ballroom to get some semi-alone time and some amazing pictures. The staff were wonderful, Jordan Davis, my contact person on their catering staff made everything very straight forward and easy to understand, she was also as prompt as possible in her responses via e-mail. Valerie, who worked with us sometimes, was also very helpful. We went with the basic "silver" package and it was a very expensive affair, without the help of my parents I could not have had this amazing venue, but I can easily say that if I had to choose a venue all over again I would not change my decision. Overall, I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding venue.

lock it off for you. We didn't want golfers in our photos, so that was a bust. The ballroom is very large and has drapery from the ceiling. They do have older curtains on the walls, but you can pay extra to have them covered with better looking drapery. There was a room attached for the girls to get ready in which was a nice benefit. We were not able to see it as they were getting ready for a wedding that day. The staff was really great at answering our questions and was willing to try their best to work within our budget. We chose not to use them for our big day, but they seemed like a good alternative.

However, once we met with the Palos Verdes Golf Club staff and toured the venue, we knew this was the place for us. We worked with Wendy Young and Valerie Sena and from our initial visit to our food tasting to the day before the wedding, all of our expectations were met AND exceeded with the amazing service, food and professionalism of the entire staff. We planned our wedding in about 11 months and it was an easy, seamless process with the help of the thorough planning from Wendy and Valerie. On the day of the wedding, my bridesmaids and I had access to the beautiful bridal tower for the whole day. We were showered with beverages, champagne, fruits, cheese platters and anything else we wanted. We had 102 guests at our wedding and everyone was so pleased with the service and food. The staff at PVGC is so accommodating that after our grand exit at 11:00 PM, my in-laws got stranded at the venue since their car wouldn't start. Jose, the manager of the wait staff, drove them to the hotel where all of our guests were staying. We are so thankful for him and the entire staff for making our day so perfect and amazing. I could gush about this place all day long. If you want the most for your money, please go see Wendy or Valerie and take a tour around this gorgeous venue. I wish we could get married here all over again!

Being a wedding planner myself, I had a vision in my head on how to transform their already beautiful venue into something personal for me - and I was met with nothing but enthusiasm and helpfulness. The price of the venue is very competitive, and they have a range of very nice items on hand for their brides to use which ends up saving a fortune. The food was absolutely OUTSTANDING, and many of my guests commented it was the best meal they had in quite some time. The set up staff was unbelievably attentive, professional and nothing less than perfect. I have very high standards - but i have to say that when I walked down the aisle and saw my vision a reality after the staff set it all up...I burst into tears of joy because it was so overwhelmingly beautiful. I would recommend this venue to ANY bride, at any price range because the possiblities are endless and the service is beyond compare. I cannot rave enough about my wonderful experience with PVGC, and give enourmous thanks to Wendy, Valerie, Jose and Mario and their staff for all of their hard work on an outdoor wedding on a blistering hot day - but it was well appreciated, I assure you.
