Lindsay is literally such a dream to work with. She is so caring, has great attention to detail, and is the calm, cool, collected presence you want throughout the wedding planning process and day of. We had a backyard wedding at our home and she made it so seamless and organized. She made our backyard feel like the most professional and stunning venue. She is so knowledgable, kind, and willing to put herself in the middle of family drama if needed! Truly one of the best parts of our wedding planning process was getting to know and work with Lindsay!
Paper Hat was the best wedding coordinator I could have asked for. We got married at Aurora Cellars, a venue that requires a day-of coordinator. Lindsay was available for my questions about vendor bookings from the moment I booked Paper Hat, then when we were 3 months out we began having meetings to go over all the details. Lindsay made it so easy to organize my vendors, make lists of tasks, and figure out the reception layout. On the day of, Monica was our coordinator and truly went above and beyond. She managed everything with the venue and all the vendors who arrived, allowing us to enjoy our day completely. Throughout the day she was very thoughtful and kind, making sure my husband and I had everything we needed - from drinks to water to appetizers during cocktail hour. At the end of the night, she made sure all my things were organized or put away properly, making the next day smooth as well. I cannot thank Monica and Lindsay enough for all they did to ensure we had the most perfect day!

Lindsay is AMAZING!! We hired the Paper Hat Weddings team for day-of coordination, and this was easily the best wedding planning decision we made. We had a two-year engagement which provided plenty of time to second guess small decisions and get lost in the weeds of wedding logistics. Once we found and hired Lindsay and her team, we had our preliminary planning meeting and immediately knew we were in great hands. They handled all the details we never would have thought to address and ensured that everything was taken care of before the big day. To give you an idea of how much we trusted and relied on the Paper Hat team, I was studying full time for the bar exam the two months leading up to our wedding. This was without a doubt the most stressful two months of my life and I had no worries that our wedding plans and coordination would be taken off my plate and totally handled during this time. On the actual day of our wedding, my husband and I felt like guests! Lindsay was running around and handling all the moving parts. Most emblematic of this was when we heard from one of our guests later in the day that Lindsay had helped jump their car when the battery died. Meredith at Paper Hat Weddings was our rock and hero through and through. She was so supportive and knowledgable leading up to our wedding I knew we were in great hands, but once the wedding weekend came, she exceeded all my expectations.
She helped with our rehearsal night and I'm forever glad we decided to do that. She organized speeches and I never had to think about what I needed to be doing, she was just there to lead me in the right direction.
Wedding day was amazing, perfect and not in the least stressful all thanks to her. Someone spilled wine all of the back of my dress and Meredith was so on top of it I wasn't even upset. She had me back out and picture ready before I even blinked.
She managed all of our vendors seamlessly, was so organized and knew things that I never would have. We would have been lost without her.
Hiring Meredith was the BEST decision we made for our wedding, and I don't say that lightly. She carried our wedding on her back and I am obsessed with her. Her pricing and offerings were perfect for us and she was a complete joy to work with. She had great vendor recommendations and an easy, guided pre-planning process that made our planning experience so much better. She also provided plans and information to our vendors before the wedding - it was such a relief to hear "Meredith already told me XYZ!" whenever we talked to our vendors! She also did a great job doing a bunch of the decor setup. And on the day of the wedding, any request I had, any minor issue that popped up - Meredith either had already taken care of it, or was on it immediately. Absolutely nothing fazed her. Her demeanor and professionalism on the day of our wedding were so great that our venue told us they wanted to reach out to her and discuss an arrangement where Meredith would be their preferred coordinator (I have no idea if that worked out but this just emphasizes how great she was). She worked SO hard to make sure that everything was perfect, and it really was - you will not regret hiring her!
Lindsay was the absolute best angel, saint, and planner one could ever ask for. We secured her services 3.5 weeks before our son's wedding. We had a two month turn around and in the final stretch we realized we were a wee bit over our heads to do the final push to pull together all the timetables and run the show on the big day. She answered my SOS from The Knot immediately and talked through every single piece of the puzzle. Then on the wedding day, she took all the chaos we created and sprinkled it with pixie dust and warp speed and brought together a gorgeous event for my son and his wife. I can't recommend her enough.

For my first wedding, we opted to skip the expense of a wedding coordinator and I remember crying multiple times throughout the planning process and losing so much sleep over the details. You don't know what you don't know, and I had no idea how much planning and organization could go into one day... This time around, my partner and I decided to look into hiring a coordinator to see if the expense would be worth it. Within 2 minutes of talking to Lindsay on the phone, we knew we were hiring her! She is professional, organized, communicative, informative, and knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable, like we were friends, while still maintaining the professional boundary necessary to do her job right! She understood she was working with 2 type B adhders and she did a great job of reeling us in when we got off topic and broke up our homework into feasible amounts for us to tackle.
She contacted the vendors, had a detailed timeline of our wedding day for us and our wedding party, and answered every questions we threw her way, no matter how big or small it was!
We had friends reaching out the week of the wedding asking how we felt or if we needed help with anything and we kept saying "we feel great! Lindsay has everything covered"
The day of the wedding, she was at the venue in plenty of time making sure everything was ready and organized. If she had a question, she reached out to our maids of honor so she wouldn't stress us out. When we had one bridesmaid ER-bound 2 hours before the wedding and I called crying, she calmly assured me that everything would be ok and we would make any adjustments necessary. She immediately put my mind at ease.
What is incredible about Lindsay is her ability to be SO organized and detailed and then also be incredibly flexible the day of the wedding as snafu's inevitably arise.
We knew she was there, her presence and organization was known, but she also did an incredible job of being behind the scenes. While we posed for pictures, she had already gotten us each our preferred beverages and was wonderful with giving us subtle reminders to remember to eat and take care of ourselves throughout the evening.
If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator due to the expense, I would definitely recommend foregoing OTHER expenses instead. Hiring Linsday and her team is a MUST in our opinions. We can't thank her enough for making our wedding dreams come to fruition!
Lindsay McLaughlin was by far the best money I spent on my wedding. She was organized, detailed, responsive, and I felt 10x calmer every time we finished a meeting. She understands the importance of this day and every single detail. She gives the bride and groom the ability to just enjoy their special day without any stress. Paper Hat is out of this world amazing. I originally had another wedding planner hired, and it was not a good experience. I found paper hat and I am beyond thankful I did. Lindsay the owner is just so easy to work with and detailed. Meredith helped the days before and the day of and she was absolutely phenomenal. She took all the decor I had spent 2 years putting together and brought my vision to life. EVERY little detail she thought of. From signing our guest book ahead of time, making sure we had our appetizers on the table since we missed cocktail hour, even putting a card in our card box. Being a type A bride it was so extremely important to me to find someone I could rely on. Not only was Lindsay and Meredith that, but they went above and beyond. I cannot express how much I would recommend them for your big day. They will help you focus on the day itself and take care of the rest. Take it from a bride who had a first bad experience with another wedding planner. LOOK NO FURTHER. They are the best!!!
In Awe. I am not exaggerating when I say that I cried multiple times because of how perfect Lindsay made our wedding. Not only did she make everything happen BETTER than we wanted, but she did it with ease, a smile on her face and her confidence gave us confidence. We cannot count the amount of guests that came up to us and complemented Lindsay as well. My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Paper Hat Weddings. From the initial website search through the final hour of our wedding, they really enhanced the experience for us. MEREDITH was spectacular. At the basic level (day of coordination) it really felt like she had been working with us for years, when our wedding was put together in 6 months. She took everything off my plate, was responsive, and kept everyone on task. The day of, she was doing so much manual labor to get our location in order, seemingly in 6 places at once- she’s amazing. 20/10- if you’re considering any type of help, go for it. And do it with Paper Hat Weddings.
Lindsay was fantastic! She made the entire day so much less stressful and was attune to our every need on the wedding day. She was also on top of all the little things that I would not have been aware of as it was my first time planning a wedding! I really appreciated everything she did for us and I cannot recommend her enough. She even traveled from Grand Rapids to Chicago and helped coordinate things despite being from a different city which is something I was very impressed by.
Cannot recommend enough!! We had to postpone our dream wedding for a year due to covid, and we could not have pulled it off if it weren't for Lindsay and the Paper Hat team. Lindsay was amazing to work with from start to finish. She created our entire timeline and thought of every detail for us. I cannot overestimate how wonderful Lindsay and Meredith were; our wedding would not have been the same without them! They handled all the details and made our day completely stress free! We reached out to Lindsay of Paper Hat Weddings a few months after going through the heartbreak of our original wedding venue filing for bankruptcy and ceasing operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Like most couples whose weddings were scheduled to take place during the pandemic, my then Fiance (now husband) and I made the decision to completely pivot from a 200+ guest wedding at a rooftop bar in Columbus, Ohio, to an intimate micro-wedding at our family's second home in Union Pier, Michigan.
Tasked with pulling off a complete wedding 360 in a different city, we knew we'd need expert help. Within the first few minutes of our initial conversation with Lindsay, we knew she was the coordinator for us.
Lindsay helped us execute THE wedding of our dreams. She helped us put our unique vision into action with a level of attention to detail that we'd never seen before. With her guidance, our ideas were brought to life with ease, and the preparation for our wedding was actually fun!
Having been fortunate enough to have Lindsay in our corner throughout the entire planning process, curveball after curveball, I can wholeheartedly say I would trust her with my life.

I’ve tried to write this multiple times now but can’t quite find the words to express my gratitude for Lindsay. She took a few conversations over the course of a few months, random photos from Pinterest, and panic texts from me, and gave me the calmest dream wedding day. Through COVID, thunderstorms, and more she kept all our vendors in lockstep. Lindsay perfectly timed our hair and makeup, created the most beautiful tablescape and ceremony spot with our florist, delivered dinner perfectly, and made sure our photographer was everywhere collecting everything. She was like a fairy godmother who I barely saw during the day, but had every single tiny detail I had ever mentioned - down to saving the corks from our wedding toast, something I mentioned once months ago. And on top of it all she’s just an truly delightful human being. I wish I could hire her for everything in my life. Absolutely could not recommend her more if you’re looking for a coordinator!!

When COVID hit North America, we had no idea what was going to happen. Pushing our wedding back was the most devastating decision we had to make since we were already on year 2 of our engagement. Until COVID, our wedding was already entirely planned with her and ready to go! To add to our broken hearts of changing dates, we had to make changes up to two weeks to the wedding. We essentially planned another wedding in four months with all of the pivots we took. Lindsay was there the entire way, even through my nervous breakdowns. She was our most prominent advocate when restrictions were changing with vendors. She made sure we had all the information to make the most well-informed decisions.
The fact we didn’t elope is all due to the testament of this woman’s passion and commitment to making the most important day in a couple’s life come to fruition.
I would recommend no other planner than Lindsay or anyone on her team. I trust anyone under her mentorship would work the same way.

Lindsay and her team did a great job with my Covid wedding! She was very useful and professional, and I am so glad that I was able to just enjoy my wedding day instead of stress about details. When switching everything around due to changing regulations, I was worried I was going to miss something, but then I remembered Lindsay was in the background double checking everything for me! She especially helped guide our decision making, for example she brought up many good points when we were switching our reception location to be able to hold it outside. She had my back during an especially crazy time, and I am so thankful to have hired her!!!

Weddings are overwhelming, even for an experienced planner like me. With Lindsay’s help, my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our day fully. Lindsay was terrific at stepping in and coordinating all of our vendor's logistics and last-minute needs. She was the second vendor we booked and truly the best investment. She guided me throughout my entire planning process, sent me ideas, and talked me off the over planning ledge. Additionally, we coordinated all of this out of state, and Lindsay didn't miss a beat remotely.
We had a few unexpected family emergencies occur on our day. An event like this was not something any of us could have planned for. Lindsay coordinated timing changes professionally without altering our guest's experience. My husband and I can’t thank her enough for all that she did on our day and would highly recommend her for a wedding coordinating.

Lindsay and I don’t “agree” on a few errors that happened on our wedding day. Just be aware that if something does occur, it’s your fault because you made changes the week of the wedding or because you didn’t communicate enough with your vendors. It’s something you or your vendors did wrong, and not something her planning services could have prevented. This review is written after discussing all of my concerns with her first and being unhappy with how she responded. I'm really upset in how she's deflected all the problems onto us or our vendors and truly does not feel things could have been coordinated better on her end! Paper hat did everything "perfectly" for us which is why I'm writing this review.
I knew from our very first phone call that I wanted to work with Lindsay. She is so friendly, knowledgeable, and organized & I knew our wedding would be in such good hands with her. I can’t even begin to tell you HOW NICE it was to know that someone had everything under control when we were at our various appointments throughout the day. My whole family and I could relax and soak in all the wedding day magic knowing she was around. From set up to tear down, she had it all figured out. We have received so many compliments on how smoothly everything went – that is entirely all thanks to Lindsay! She made our wedding day INCREDIBLE and will do the same for you! Having Lindsay there was the best decision we made!
LINDSAY IS THE GOAT! She truly is a master organizer and amazing problem solver! I can’t say enough positive things about my experience. I worked in the wedding industry already, and pretty much had everything designed and planned, but I knew I needed someone like Lindsay to pull everything together for me-and she went above and beyond my expectations. Lindsay was on top of every timeline and reminded me of things I hadn’t even thought of. I was searching for blush velvet linens, and tried numerous times reaching out to several vendors in the area with no luck. Not even joking, Lindsay had a quote from a vendor for me within 24 hours-and was even so sweet as to work with my MIL in returning them while I was on my mini moon. She even braved a BEAR on the mountain top without batting an eye lol! All of my family and bridesmaids were so impressed with her professionalism and genuine caring and loving personality. She was always there when I needed her, and I couldn’t be more appreciative. You need to hire Paper Hat Weddings-Lindsay will make your day beyond amazing!
I am so glad I hired Lindsay and her team. It is difficult to pinpoint all that they did to help, since it seems like so much! Lindsay dove in head first about a month prior to our wedding, reaching out to vendors, asking questions and figuring out things I hadn't even thought of, going above and beyond. I am so grateful for the work she did. Knowing that she and her team were supporting us gave me invaluable peace of mind.
Megan was my coordinator on the day of, and she was absolutely wonderful. Among the countless things she did that day, some that stick out as especially helpful were transporting and setting up all decorations for our ceremony, distributing final checks to vendors, getting me a Diet Coke from a can from our rental house during the reception (!!), packing up ALL of our decorations after the reception, and generally being incredibly helpful, flexible, calm, cheerful, and supportive. Honestly, I don't know how we would have done it without her.
We could not have gotten through our wedding day without these amazing women! We were advised to have a wedding planner to help with the stress on the day of (we also did the majority of the planning for our Michigan wedding from California) and we cannot overstate how much this helped us enjoy our day and take away stress. They thought of details we never even considered, and helped us get organized better than we ever could have done on our own! I absolutely recommend using their services!

I'm a Type-A person, so I couldn't believe that she was even more on top of it than me! My wedding day wouldn't have gone as great as it did without her. If there were stressors on the big day- I didn’t know about it because she handle it all without skipping a beat.
She is incredibly organized- keeping track of all the details. I never once felt on my own because she was so quick to respond and beyond helpful. She worked closely with each of my vendors and executed my wedding vision perfectly. She went above and beyond all my expectations.

Lindsay and her team were an absolute joy to work with and made our wedding day perfect, smooth, and stress-free. They handled so many little details, like making sure my grandmother was one of the first to get a plate of food, ensuring our dog was looking at the photographer in all the photos, and filling up our glasses with champagne throughout the night. I would 100% recommend Paper Hat to anyone who wants to enjoy their wedding day and let a professional handle all the logistics, communications, and details.

We had a small October wedding with only 50 people and were on the fence about whether or not we needed a wedding coordinator. I can honestly say hiring Lindsay for my wedding was the best planning decision I made!
Every step with her was so easy. All I did was give her the information and my vision and she made everything come to life. She prepared for things I never would have thought of and executed everything perfectly.
Thanks to Lindsay I actually got to do what I thought was impossible: enjoy my wedding day stress free!

Lindsay was amazing, a total day/life saver! We planned our entire wedding ourselves, but as the day of our wedding got closer, we started to get worried about who would put out the proverbial fires that came up throughout the day and make sure everything ran smoothly. My father kept telling me that "when something goes wrong on the day of the wedding, the person dealing with it should NOT be someone with our last name." Boy was he right! Thankfully we found Lindsay, who made the entire day flow smoothly from start to finish. This was especially a big deal given our circumstances. We were in two hotels, three locations at our venue, a kitchen off-site, had 16 vendors, and live 350+ miles from our venue. Lindsay made sure that all of the pieces moved in sync the day of our wedding, that everyone knew where to be, and made sure we didn't have to deal with any problems that arose throughout the day. Most importantly, Lindsay made sure that we didn't have to deal with anyone we didn't want to; she was completely in sync with what we wanted and rolled with the punches. I cannot recommend Lindsay highly enough, she is a true life saver!
Hiring Lindsay and Alex of Paper Hat was hands down one of the best wedding planning decisions I made! I immediately felt comfortable with them and knew I was in good hands. They thought of things that I would not have and managed the week around the wedding - and definitely the day of - seamlessly. Personally, I can only relax when I know all of the details and logistics are handled, and they allowed me and my family to enjoy the day. At our reception, Alex was incredible in fixing any little thing that came up. Do yourself a favor and hire Paper Hat - I would, over and over again.

I had the pleasure of working with Lindsay this past weekend and cannot say enough wonderful things about her. As a wedding photographer, it was SO helpful having someone run around and gather all the families together for specific group photos.
