We strongly do not recommend Papered Wonders. Lisa is an extremely talented stationary and wedding planning creative, however, her communication and execution abilities are not professional. My husband and I hired Papered Wonders in October 2019 for a September 2020 wedding. We were able to achieve working with Lisa to deliver our save the dates in November 2019, and our “re-save” the dates in March 2021 after postponing our wedding to October 2021. Each major milestone required a significant amount of pull from the clients and our wedding planner, with times when Lisa would go completely silent and unresponsive for long periods. We started the wedding invitation and day of wedding stationary conversations in mid April 2021, with a planning meeting on April 29, 2021. My planner and I followed up with the action items we owed on time. We did not hear anything back from Lisa until June 7, completely missing the deadline of the wedding invitation redesign due week May 17. On June 7, she promised our stationary items would be on time and we never heard from her after that. There was no response to email, text, phone calls or instagram messages. Lisa completely breached the terms of our contract by walking away from the deposit we paid, and by not providing any communication to end the services. Lisa’s team was and is still active on social media, posting their work for many clients, and again, never fulfilled the terms of our agreement. This was a devastating experience as a bride and groom who already had to deal with the trauma, delays, and postponements of covid impacting their wedding day. I was especially disappointed because I specifically wanted to support black women creatives through our wedding investment. Lisa never fulfilled her contract and we are still left over one year later with no response. We do not recommend working with this company unless you want to be completely left high and dry.
Lisa literally is the worst communicator ever. Please stay away at all cost. She was very communicative before I paid my deposit etc, however as soon as signed my contract and paid my deposit Lisa was MIA. Its been three weeks now and I cannot get ahold of her and my save the dates were supposed to go out on April 1st. I would highly not recommend. Please save yourself the headache.
I was looking forward to working with them because their work is beautiful. There’s no denying that but the level of unprofessionalism received was unacceptable. Please take a look at the other reviews and they are very similar to mine.
Lisa made immediate contact with me when I first reached out to her to meet to prepare invitations for my daughter’s wedding held this past Nov 5, 2016. We met Jun 6, 2016. The meeting went well and we were excited to see the mock ups for review which she promised by June 13th. I made a deposit which she required prior to any work being done. Jun 16th I had not heard from her and sent an email. She advised a member of her family had passed away and would need more time to get things in order and promised to have something to us by Jun 20th. Jul 6th I sent an email to follow up, and check on her. She responded that by Jul 11th she would have something to us. I was very sensitive to her family issues and agreed that she should take time to handle her family affairs but by Jul 20th I had not heard from her and she would not return my calls or respond to emails that I had sent. I even left a message of concern for her because I began to worry that perhaps something more was wrong. She never completed any proofs/mock ups, never returned our call, she charged our credit card and would not respond. By Aug 3, 2016, I finally had to contact my bank in order for me to get my money back and move on with another invitation specialist.
I would not recommend her services. I understand the family issues but it appears that regardless of the personal issues she may have had, she still does not provide the level of service that is expected from a professional person wanting your business.
Headache and Hassle. Lisa, is very nice and things are very organized during the consultation and contract process, but after that you never know what you will get. If you use this company be sure to set your dates weeks before you need the product so you will have everything you need on time. Lisa was very hard to contact, during my planning process I had to send multiple emails and leave numerous messages to get a response. Which is a headache when you are trying to get things done on time. A few times I emailed her late in the evening (after 8pm) and she responded faster, but normally you want things done earlier. Never call or leave voicemails that gets you no where fast. Once you get in contact with her, at times she will rush to get things done by giving you a narrow review window , ie.:"please review this in 24 hours " when you have been waiting for weeks to get things done. For the most part the finish product is good. My invitations were great, I would not recommend envelopes with the glitter inserts, the insert peels out, and isn't proper placed in the envelope, so you have gaps in it where it's half glued, and it looks like a rushed job. When you try to seal them they don't stick properly when they are wet, they either pop up with a small(normal) amount of liquid or buckle up with too much liquid or just don't stick at all. I complained to Lisa, and she told me that when they seal them they usually sit books on them to make them secure, which I feel is something you should be made aware of before you purchase them. After implementing her sealing suggestion, all of them still didn't stick I had to wet them multiple times and add more pressure, which still didn't provide 100% satisfaction. The adhesive portion on the envelopes don't go all the way to the top corner which causes another problem, when you are trying to seal them. Needless to say it took 5 hours to properly seal them. Lisa offered to pack and seal them for me after I complained, but I seeing as though I lived out of state and I could never guarantee when I would be able to contact her or if things would be done on time , that wasn't an option for me. My menu cards and place cards were excellent . When I received my program fans they were printed correctly but they were bent in the box which was annoying. I received my menu cards, place cards and fans the week of my wedding, due to last minute proofing and editing. On the positive side, they are good with the proofing and editing process, will work with any budget, are very creative, and will produce your product by your event date. But its not a stress free process, which is not something you want as a bride.
The WONDER in my WONDERful wedding! I worked with Lisa of Papered Wonders, Inc from the start to finish of my wedding, literally!! She helped my husband and I to set the tone for our wedding. Our save the dates were a knock-out! They were simple and elegant, and made a statement! For our invitations, Lisa was somehow able to satisfy a girly-girl bride AND a man's man groom. They were perfect as well and blew our guests away! Lisa and Papered Wonders, Inc helped to create our wedding monogram, ceremony programs, seating chart, place cards, and even our favors. There was an expectation our guests had simply from the receipt of our save-the-dates, and Lisa assisted us in exceeding that, until the very end. We wow'ed our guests. Lisa is creative, accessible, thoughtful, and takes personal pride in making sure her couples are taken care of. It was hard to believe that someone could care just as much as I did about the writing, color, texture, look, and aesthetics of "paper" ~ well, I'm forever thankful that Lisa & Papered Wonders did!

**IF YOU'RE READING THIS I HOPE IT'S NOT TOO LATE**
First off, I'd like to point out that at least half of the positive reviews are fake. See the reviewers who only reviewed one vendor? They all say the same thing don't they? I didn't notice it at first but after dealing with these folks I had to come back and read the reviews because I was so confused as to why I selected them in the first place.
Everyone in this company is a complete pain. Like some of the other customers, we paid Lisa and then didn't hear from her for WEEKS. This should've been a warning sign and we should've just asked for our money back but we are forgiving folk. So we dealt with her. Lisa was late with literally every. single. thing. that she was supposed to get to us. This is the most CREATIVE woman when it comes to excuses. She would email us something one day and say she's getting it to us tomorrow and then we don't hear from her for five days. We had a destination wedding and were leaving a week before the big day. We TRULY did not know if we were going to get everything in time, and Lisa had the audacity to say "well if it's not done I'll Fedex it to you in Puerto Rico" LOL WUT. Who wants to deal with that type of stress? That was a nice offer, I guess, but how about you just get our stuff done on time? At one point we had to deal with some of her colleagues when she was MIA and MY GOODNESS, they were the rudest and most unprofessional people I've dealt with in my entire life. Y'all, don't be fooled by her bubbly persona or seeming professionalism with your consultation. The invitations are nice and the company looks good on Instagram (lol by the way I tried to get in touch with her via Instagram and they deleted my comment with the QUICKNESS - that was the fastest response I'd ever gotten to anything!) but it's honestly NOT WORTH THE STRESS.
It would be tempting, but I wouldn't recommend Papered Wonders to my worst enemy. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
This vendor abandoned me in the middle of our process. I had given her a deposit to cover all of our printing but she printed our Save the Date Magnets and then just disappeared. My planner saved the day by getting me another printer to finish my order.
When she finally reappeared, she refused to refund my deposit stating that she had used all of that money for my magnets.
Stay away from this vendor.
Lisa was very helpful with working within our budget. She was professional and organized. The design was beautiful and perfect fit for our wedding theme.
From our save the dates, to our invitations, to the seating charts, all of the designs were unique, classy, and beautiful. We loved everything! Thanks!!
I am so glad that we choose Papered Wonders, Inc for all of our wedding stationary needs.
Lisa Zachery did a fantastic job on all of our stationary. This included our save the dates, wedding invitations down to our menu cards and table numbers.
All of our friends and family were bragging on how regal yet timeless that our stationary looked upon arrival! Everything she did for us we would describe as classic embroidery with simple sophisticated details. The detailed penmanship with a lasting impression made all the difference.
Lisa was able to produce exactly what we envisioned- perfection!
Lisa did a wonderful job on our invitations, even when we decided to change them after our original design was printed and just a few days before they needed to go in the mail. She worked with me to meet after work and get a new design before she headed out of town. Her design was beautiful and everyone commented on how much they loved our invitations. I would have preferred a little more communication throughout the process, just updates on how things were going, etc., but overall the experience with her was really good.
This vendor did our save the dates, invitations, menus, escort cards, and few other decorative items for our special day. Everything was put together with care and concern. The only complaint I would have is timeliness.
Papered Wonders provided the BEAUTIFUL stationary for my Save the Dates, Invitation suite and ceremony programs. The quality of the paper was fabulous and looked expensive. All of their work was elegant and exactly what I wanted. They matched my colors perfectly and with so many options, there is something for everyone.
I can't say enough great things about Lisa and her Papered Wonders Staff. They designed a gorgeous monogram for us which became a staple throughout our entire wedding. I received so many compliments on everything from the save-the-dates to the invitations to the programs! Several even commented that our were the most elegant and beautiful invitations they had seen. I loved having a cohesive look to all of our stationary for the wedding. I would recommend Papered Wonders to any future bride!
After a dramatic experience with an out of town printer, my fiance and I turned to Lisa of Papered Wonders. She is a fabulous person who works within your budget and comes to your rescue! My advice for all brides is work with a printer in your home state where they have samples you can actually see.
I wish Lisa had been the one to do our invitations but she is now handling our programs, table #'s and escort cards. They are all going to be perfect. Lisa knows what she is doing!
I used them for my invitations and wedding day stationery (programs, escort cards and table numbers). They do beautiful work and was very impressed when I saw their samples, but don’t be fooled! They have the WORST service ever. It is a two person staff and they do not return your calls or emails for days and even weeks. After I paid my deposit it took a month before I heard from them and starting working on invitations. I was so upset and the owner stepped in and I started working with her. I thought things would be better, but they got worse. My invitations were not complete until the day before I planned to mail them and I had to pick them up from a KFC parking lot! After the invitation disaster, we had a planning meeting to discuss the remaining pieces and clear the air. The meeting went great and I felt better until again, I did not hear from them for weeks after sending my program information. After the design was finalized, the product was not delivered the day before the wedding and it was WRONG! They forgot to include the date and tried to tell my wedding planner they printed what I approved. WRONG, because I had the email to show what I approved and they had to print it again. Overall, the final product was beautiful, but the headache and stress from the lack of service and communication was not worth it. If I could do it again, I would have gone with another company that values personal service.
These ladies are the best!!! They get the invitations back to you quickly! Wide range of options!
Our invitations made a great first impression of what was to come on our wedding day. The resounding word was "GORGEOUS" as our guest responded. They designed a beautiful monogram and incorporated a personal painting I painted for my fiance into our invitations...simply divine! Programs and menus were beautiful and they even designed our step and repeat backdrop for our red carpet feel entry--great photo op for our guests during cocktail hour and upon arrival! Great communication throughout the process and prompt responses during proofing periods. Would definitely use service again!
