I can not say enough great things about our wedding experience at Paradise Point!
Eva was phenomenal to work with. She made the planning so fun, answered all my silly questions and gave great recommendations to make our day flawless. You can tell she cares about each event and is so knowledgeable to ensure everything runs smoothly.
I can not forget about the excellent care our guests received from the staff for our reception! The food was exactly like our tasting.. so incrediably good! We had guests tell us that it was the best wedding food they have ever had!
We had a lot of out of town guests stay on property and they all raved over how amazing their stay was.
Overall, we would 100% recommend Paradise Point for any event, but especially a wedding!
We had our wedding ceremony at Paradise Point and couldn't be happier with our choice! It was definitely on the pricier side for ceremony venues, but we found that they had the best options for ceremony-only space in comparison to other hotels in the area. Our ceremony was on the Paradise Terrace and it was absolutely stunning. Many of our guests (ourselves included) stayed at the resort, and we got so many compliments on our choice! Eva, the venue coordinator, was great to work with too.
Such a stunning resort! We hosted our ceremony at the pine hill lawn. The resort staff was very accommodating and rolled through the punches with us as we had to postpone our day several times due to the pandemic. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner at Tidal on the resort, they did an amazing job and the food was awesome!
Any questions?
Our coordinator was Rian and he made the day so unbelievably wonderful. I cannot say enough about Paradise Point. From our first tour to the tasting to the wedding day, we loved every minute of it. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted and went completely perfectly. Rian went FAR above and beyond during the wedding weekend to make sure we got what we wanted. Kudos to him and his team! (also- the food here is AMAZING, and the cake we received through them was the best cake I have ever tasted!)
I worked with Erica as our wedding coordinator for my wedding this last August. She was so wonderful to work with! She made the whole process so seamless and stress free. Right after the ceremony, someone in my wedding party asked her if she could get us reservations at the restaurant on the resort that was already booked, 10 minutes later we had a reservation in place. She went above and beyond to make our day special. I absolutely recommend Paradise Point for any wedding.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony at Paradise Point Resort and Spa (Pine Hill location) back in July. It was absolutely beautiful! We worked with Erica before the pandemic started, but it was put on hold as soon as the pandemic hit. We were initially set on their Paradise Terrace location and even waited for venues to open back up again for us to try and secure the venue! During that time, we worked with Maribel, who was great! It turns out the location was having another wedding that day, so Maribel recommended Pine Hill, which we ended up LOVING. The lush greenery landscape was located in a secluded area that helped make our wedding ceremony so intimate! Our guests loved it and our photos turned out so beautiful! We worked with Erica again closer toward the wedding date, and she was absolutely fantastic to work with. She responded super quickly answered all of the questions that we had! We actually rented a bell cart the day of the wedding for our wedding party photos, but to be honest, we probably didn't need it. The Pine Hill location was so beautiful we ended up taking most of our time there and only used the bell cart to take us to a distance we could have just walked to, but with the amazing service we received, we're not even upset about it.
We would 1000% recommend Paradise Point for your wedding!
My husband and I had our wedding at Paradise Point. We had quite the journey during our wedding process. We got engaged Summer of 2019 and knew the date we wanted to get married then (on our 10 year anniversary-summer of 2020). We started looking for venues right away. We looked at so many venues, but our heart was set on Paradise Point. Erica was our point of contact at this venue and she was very helpful with answering our questions and requests. We loved that it was right next to the water and felt like it was on its own little island. We were worried we wouldn't be able to afford it, but they were extremely accommodating from the very beginning (pre-Covid) and ensured we would get what we wanted. When Covid hit it caused a lot of stress because we did not want to change our wedding date since it was so important to us. Since Covid shut down the operations of events, dining, and resorts, staff was limited and our communication and point of contact was changed from Erica to Maribel for the time being. As Covid cases started to decrease for the first time things were started to open back up and we were hopeful we could still somehow make our wedding work. Summer of 2020 indoor dining, let alone events, were no longer allowed in San Diego due Covid cases increasing again. We were heartbroken to say the least, but Maribel at Paradise Point was very supportive and understanding. They gave us every option because of these unavoidable circumstances. They offered to give us a full refund or to move our wedding to a later date. After talking/crying through it we decided this date was too important to us to wait any longer. Maribel helped us tremendously through this time and was OK with any decision we made. We decided to have a very small intimate ceremony at Paradise Point outside overlooking the water (not the original location of the ceremony) and to reschedule our big reception a full year later on our 1-year wedding anniversary. Maribel made sure we were happy with our ceremony and comped us the honeymoon suite for the night of our wedding (the most incredible room right on the beach). We had dinner with the few people that came after our intimate ceremony at the Restaurant within the resort, Tidal. Food and service was great! Fast forward to this year Erica was back and helped prepare us for our wedding. She was so friendly and organized. She made sure every detail was what we wanted and was so patient with us. I felt very good about going into our wedding day. We were allowed to set up the day before since they did not have anything else going on in our room, which was a huge relief! Luckily everything worked out and we were able to have a beautiful wedding the way we had originally planned. We got back to our honeymoon suite that was comped again this year and we had a bottle of champagne waiting for us along with a sweet card from Erica and the Paradise Point team. We had such a great experience with this venue even through all of the ups and downs of Covid. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have the best wedding with an amazing staff. We would get married every year if we could. Booking with Paradise Point was the best decision.
Paradise Point is a dream of a venue! It's a slice of paradise nestled within San Diego that makes you feel like you are miles away on an island at a paradise resort! It's so beautiful, and we chose to get married on the Island Point Lawn overlooking Mission Bay, with the cocktail hour on the Dockside Deck, and the reception in the Dockside Room. It's such a beautiful space, and the whole resort is beautiful and so green and spacious.
There are 52 acres and 400+ guest rooms, so there is plenty of room for weddings of all sizes.
The team at Paradise Point is so great to work with, and the food is something that all our guests continue to rave about - especially the Lobster Bisque! The staff is all very accommodating and they took great care of us and all our guests.
We had the most perfect wedding day, and will gladly go back to Paradise Point to relive the best day!
Not only that this place is beautiful and so picturesque but the staff is what makes it even more wonderful. Everything was perfect from my rehearsal until the end of my wedding night. I had made so many changes but they somehow found a way to accommodate me either way. Most of my husband’s families came from out of town. They stayed on the resort and they could not wait to return for another vacation. Erica, the Catering Services Manger was so attentive. She will customize everything to fit your budget and your vision. We have made the right decision to get married at Paradise Point. We can’t wait to get our pictures and videos back. We would recommend this place to all future events and to everyone we know.
We stayed in a lanai on the water. The views were gorgeous, the rooms were large and clean, and the staff around the facility were very friendly.
The Barefoot Bar and Grill is great for breakfast bay views on the patio, or gathering with friends in the evenings.
We had our reception at Tidal, and the staff was attentive froendly and fun! It was the perfect evening!
If you are looking to have the best wedding you could have ever imagined, seriously look no further. My name is Dolores (Del) and my husband Justin and I planned our wedding (partially destination-his friends and family are from California) from PA to Cali.
Our ceremony was on Saturday, June 9, 2018. We had the sweetest, most caring catering sales manager, Erica Ryberg for our Wedding. She was beyond amazing with all of the details for our Wedding Day and it was PERFECT. I even needed some advice and she was there to also provide that too. I felt like I could email her/call her if i had a question with the timeline/seating charts etc and she sure had a great answer and really made me feel less stressed out. If i could talk to her boss I would tell them to promote Erica Ryberg. She was amazing.
The ceremony itself was beautiful-on Island Point lawn and we had a wedding of about 80 people including my husband Justin and I. I really wish we could go back in time and do it all over again<3 :-/really miss it-luckily we have great pictures and a great video to watch! We received lots of compliments about the wedding and guests were asking-"seriously how did you put this all together from across the country? Who is the catering sales manager here? The food is excellent." Our main dishes for guests to choose from were the sea bass, filet and chicken, and a vegetarian dish. Cute Cakes btw is where its at!! (if you want a good wedding cake we loved our tastings there:) )
The ceremony and reception @ Paradise Point Resort went very well and everything was just picture perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day at Paradise Point Resort, and miss our wedding day a lot.
Erica Ryberg-Thank you so much again for everything. You were perfect!
If you want a great wedding and the best catering sales manager request Erica Ryberg @ Paradise Point Resort!
Love,
Del (Dolores) and Justin
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding, and much of that is due to our venue! Paradise Point is such a gorgeous resort. We had our ceremony outdoors on Island Point Lawn, and an outdoor reception on Paradise Terrace. Being in May, we were concerned about cold and windy weather, but we lucked out and were able to keep things as planned without moving to our indoor contingency plan. Silvana was so great to work with! Responsive to email, on top of every detail, and just so pleasant to be around. She made our week long stay at the resort special by sending gifts and hand written cards to the room, plus she was there at the end of the aisle to congratulate my husband and I with champagne! I'd recommend going with their food stations for your dinner menu, we got so many compliments! We served sliders, tacos, chicken and waffles (by far the fave!) and ice cream cookie sandwiches for dessert in lieu of a cake, such a hit! We can't wait to come back to the resort for anniversaries as it will always be a special place for us.
If you have been looking for a private, affordable, and gorgeous place to have your Wedding, this is the place. My husband and I are extremely private people and we did not have a huge budget. Coming into such a large resort we were beyond impressed with how they made us feel like we were the only ones on the property. Thea Martin was our catering director main contact and she was tremendous. She instantly addressed our concerns and made it a point to never let us down during the entire process. Not only did every member of the staff go over and beyond to make our day flawless, but they listened to us and anticipated our every need. This truly was first class service with details they put into giving us a day that made us feel special and taken care. I can't express enough how our guests keep contacting us to say how our Wedding had the best food and atmosphere they ever experienced. I couldn't have imagined a better day and suggest requesting Thea Martin if you want to have the perfect Wedding!
We recently had our wedding and reception at Paradise Point and everything turned out better than we ever expected. We arrived on Wednesday and stayed until Sunday - our wedding was on Saturday evening. Each day our resort coordinator, Silvana, sent us a handwritten note and a small gift. Anything we needed, they made possible. The staff was so kind and thoughtful. We couldn't have picked a better venue. The food was good, the staff was kind, and ours and our guests needs were consistently met. Our wedding was everything we could have hoped for!
We had both our Reception and our Ceremony with Paradise Point. It was flawless! From day one, they truly made us feel valued. I never doubted their expertise and knew that they would take care of everything. Their package included so many things that were additional with every other venue we had looked at, and the service we receive throughout was far superior. It was a wonderful amount of time as far as the length of the wedding. The venue is beautiful and well kept. Every person I worked with along the way - from the sales manager to the catering team - was so professional and hospitable. And they thought of everything. I was so impressed working with this team/venue. Our wedding was absolutely perfect - I would not have changed a thing. I cannot say enough good things about this resort as your wedding venue.
From the initial contact over a year before our wedding, to the goodbye hug at the end of our wedding night, Ashley Abbott was absolutely perfect the entire way through. She was extremely responsive anytime we reached out to her, whether it was through call, text or email. She made sure that she kept us informed and up to date the entire time, which made us feel very comfortable and in good hands. Our wedding exceeded our expectations down to every single tiny detail. It was absolutely gorgeous and the most fun we’ve ever had. We genuinely never had to worry about a thing. We cannot say enough good things about Ashley. Ashley, we owe it all to you and we cannot thank you enough.
We had both our ceremony and reception at Paradise Point and it was absolutely fabulous! We live in Hawaii but our family is on the mainland so we wanted to bring Hawaii to California and Paradise Point was the perfect place to do so. It is so tropical it really is a little oasis. So many people saw our pictures and thought we actually got married in Hawaii! The venue was perfect in every way for us. They were so accommodating to all of our wishes from making sure guests with dietary restrictions were happy to allowing us to have a sparkler exit. When we booked we worked with Nicole Curtis who then had a baby so we worked with Sherri while Nicole was on maternity leave. Nicole decided to be a stay-at-home mom so they hired on Stacey Chrisman. Usually when you hear of turnover it's a bad thing, but in this case it is totally understandable and all three ladies we worked with were amazing and not a single detail was missed through the transitions. Our first time meeting Stacey was the day before our wedding and she had everything perfectly under control. We're really happy she was running the show!
The food was AMAZING. The tasting made us sure we chose the right venue and even our photographer said it's a top favorite among vendors for food.
We got married at Pine Hill and it was beautiful, so secluded and tropical. I was worried about my dress train getting dirty from duck poop but before the ceremony they hosed down all the major walkways for us with plenty of time to dry. The pictures were breathtaking and we appreciated a golf cart to take us to some awesome spots. Everyone was so friendly too, we even got a free dessert the day before at lunch at the Barefoot Grill since we were getting married. They also upgraded our bridal/honeymoon suite from the garden bungalow to the beach bungalow for free!
We couldn't be happier with our decision to get married at Paradise Point!
Everything was great, with the exception that we had 4 different onsite wedding coordinator/planners, including a switch 2 days before our wedding. We had Jacqueline last who we wished we had from the start because she was great. Other than that the venue was absolutely beautiful. We got a lot of very positive reviews from our guests. Thank you.
I looked into this venue for both my wedding, which was far out of my price range unfortunately, and for a room block since we wanted several of our midwest and east coast guests to experience a quintessential San Diego style resort. Both attempts to inquire about wedding venue and room block left me feeling like they were not at all interested in accommodating me. The sales manager for the rooms simply didn't respond after a few email exchanges. It's really unfortunate because it looks like a beautiful resort, but I'd rather not give them my business if that's how they treat prospective customers.

We got married at the Pine Hill section, and all of our guest felt in love with the place. It's very private and everybody was super friendly with us, it was very nice working with them!. We would go back to stay a night, great rooms.
I looked at many venue's in the San Diego area and Paradise Point is hands down the most beautiful. Since it is such a large property you have your choice between several ceremony and reception locations, not to mention all the great places for pictures!
From beginning to end Julie took great care of us. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. I have to say, the day ran without a hitch and it truly was my dream wedding.
Couldn't ask for a better place to have our wedding! It was everything we could hope for and more! The venue, people that worked there, and food was perfect. Would give them an A+++++! Thank you so much for making our wedding so amazing and a day we will never forget!
I was so pleased with the level of service and quality we received. Julie was always so kind and generous and made sure our wedding went off without a hitch! The chef was incredible and even created a custom menu for us. Everything was delicious. The accommodations at the resort were beyond compare and the beauty of the ceremony and reception locations is unsurpassed. I couldn't have been happier!
One word sums up the service, food, people... AMAZING! Such a memorable place, I'm happy my husband and I got married here! I worked with Julie Arroyo the whole entire time and she was a pleasure to work with, she was helpful to all my needs. All our guests said they loved the place and the food. Everything was majical. Definetely five stars all the way around!
Our wedding was the best day of our life and to top it all off our vendors were spectacular!
Paradise Point & Resort (PPR) was professional and wonderful to work with from the day we first went to look at the location through our wedding day. We held both our wedding and rehearsal dinner on site and many of our guests (approximately half) stayed at the resort. Our coordinator (Julie) made us feel like our wedding was the only one she was planning and we were able to make a great connection with her. Some of the highlights:
- Incredible location and we were able to access all of the grounds during the day for pictures. Very private location.
- The food and dinner service were excellent. We went with a lobster bisque for dinner and guests are still talking about it! (the presentation of the soup with the pastry was awesome)Everyone had hot food and dinner service was appropriately staffed and appropriately timed.
- The banquet hall was beautiful and all amenities needed by the guests were in excellent condition. We had a last minute change in location for cocktail hour and the transistion was seemless!
Six months later, we are still talking about our wedding and many of our guests are too. PPR has a great staff and an amazing location to through an unforgettable wedding!
The resort was beautiful but the company nickel and dimed us for everything.
Paradise Point is a breathtaking place to get married- the grounds are immaculately cared for and the setting of being right on the bay is amazing. The staff are all wonderful and made our day absolutely perfect. I would 100% recommend Paradise Point for a wedding venue!
Karen made sure that everything was perfect for my wedding from the food to the landscape, she helped make my day rock!
We had our wedding on the Island Point Lawn (luscious, intimate setting for 80 or less) amd our reception atthe dockside ballroom. The beauty of this location is indescribable; 44 acres of lush tropical landscaping, bay views, beach areas, bridges, ponds...endless opportunities for beautiful pictures. Our catering manager was Karen Cipolla and she was wonderful. Karen was a great resource, friendly and professional and answered all of our (many) questions in a timely manner. The only regret I have is that the golf cart rental didn't work out as we had expected. We were told that the cart could drive us all over the facility (at an additional price) and would take us to all the "sweet spots" for the best pictures all over the island...Unfortunately, our cart driver disappeared as soon as he dropped me off for our "sneak peek"...and took the photographer's extra equipment with him! He didn't return until half an hour later, and by then we only had time to grab a few bridal party pics before it was time to go. So disappointed we weren't able to get our full money's worth, but for the record the cart driver was very friendly. Moral of the story, make sure to clarify that the golf cart will stick around if you use it but the venue is still amazing and totally worth it.
Paradise Point Resort was the first venue I looked at when visiting different venues for my July 21st 2012 wedding of 120 guests. After visiting Paradise Point, I compared every other venue to it, and it could not be beat! We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding near/on the beach. We loved the tropical flair that Paradise Point had to offer. It gave the feel of a Hawaiian destination wedding without the travel. It was not the cheapest venue around, but other cheaper Hawaiian themed hotels in the area did not portray the "class and elegance" I wanted. Serving chicken/fish and open bar with wine/beer and including resort service fees and taxes will cost you about $180 person. Their wedding package does include your cake, linens, premium open bar at cocktail hour and night of wedding suite for the bride/groom. You will need to rent a separate suite for the bridal party to get ready in on the day, that is not included. There is no other resort like Paradise Point in San Diego, Orange County or LA, trust me, I've looked! Julie Arroyo, the catering manager, was amazing! She was a true professional, incredibly sweet, personable, accommodating and was quick to respond to emails and phone calls. She is honest and keeps to her word and there were no "surprise" fees or charges that showed up at the end of our wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure my day was flawless. I felt like she was a good friend of hers and I was the only bride planning my wedding there when dealing with her. She never once mixed me up with another bride or wedding and made us feel confident we would be taken care of. The food at the wedding was perfection! It was just as good at the wedding as it was at our tasting. We received so many compliments from guests how good it was. Not your typical wedding food! Our cake was delicious and gorgeous and we were so happy with Flour Power bakery (you get to choose from 2 bakeries)! We got married at the Pine Hill ceremony site, which was an intimate tropical garden location. Our cocktail hour was on the decks outside the Sunset ballroom and the reception was held in the Sunset ballroom that overlooked Mission Bay.The resort itself has a few customer service issues, but nothing major. I would highly reccommend Paradise Point for your wedding! They have multiple cermony locations and reception ballrooms to choose from and can accommodate small 10 person weddings to as many as 500 people I think. Our guests really enjoyed staying at the resort and using the amenities the resort offers and told me that even being local San Diego and LA residents, they felt like they were "somewhere else" during the wedding and their stay. I can't wait to get our pictures back because there are so many gorgeous backgrounds on the property from sand beaches, ponds, gazebo, tropical greenery, boat docks, bridge, etc!
My husband and I were engaged and married within 4 months- not a long time to plan a wedding at all. We decided we wanted a small, intimate wedding far away from our cold midwest winter. We found Paradise Point on the Knot and picked it based on the reviews, website pictures, and conversations with the staff. I could only hope the location would be pretty as I had never been there before. When I pulled up the day before my wedding I knew we had made the right choice. The location was beautiful, the staff was so kind and helpful. We chose the Island Point Lawn- which is even smaller than it looks on the website, but was absolutely perfect for our small wedding of only 30 guests. was intimate and elegant. I had an amazing view of the bay while saying my vows without having to get sand between my toes. Everything went smoothly. And we got the most amazing wedding pictures- there is a variety of beautiful settings to take pictures, so be sure to invest in a good photographer. There was even a golf cart available to drive us around the grounds of the resort so we could get pictures in a variety of settings! I wouldn't have changed one single thing about our special day.
Julie Arroyo is the BEST! She always available when you need her. She is so great to work with. Besides the amazing staff at Paradise Point, this location is wonderful. We really wanted to be married next to the water, but had older family we had to accommodate. Our ceremony took place on Paradise lawn. Which worked perfect for every ones needs. This property is absolutely perfect for pictures. The Landscaping is gorgeous. We love Paradise Point and look forward to future visits there.
From the beautiful ceremony site(we chose Island Point for our small group) to the attention to detail shown by the staff, our wedding experience at Paradise Point was perfect. Our guests raved about the drinks, food and setting. The sunset over Mission Bay and the nighttime breeze were added bonuses to our day.
We cannot say enough good things about Paradise Point resort. Our wedding was perfect! Due to the wonderful Julie Arroyo! The minute we met Julie and saw the gorgeous property we knew this was the place we wanted to get married! We had a small wedding, but never once did I feel like that made a difference to them. We choose a wedding package that put other resorts and wedding venues to shame. What I loved most was that even though we went with a wedding package, we really were in control of what we wanted! And Julie was there for every question or concern. Her energy and passion for what she does makes all the difference. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how delicious the food was or how amazing the venue was. Our banquet staff was top notch and our banquet captain, Hector – by far the best! I’m telling all my friends to get married there – just so we can go back!
Paradise point was over the top! Excellent in everway. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had! The sunset ballroom was beautiful.
I chose this hotel so we could get married right outside the room; it was beautiful. Unfortunately, they sent us champaigne with broken glasses (we called repeatedly to have them relapced and no one ever came), there was no fan in the bathroom so there was a lot of mildew, and while the overall price is good, the hotel is old and needs a few updates.
Paradise Point was a wonderful venue for our February wedding! The property is gorgeous, the food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. My entire bridal party had their hair and make up done at the spa and we were all very pleased. Our catering contact was very professional and attentive through out the entire process. She was even there for the start of our ceremony. Our friends and family were all blown away with the property and our reception. My husband and I would definitely recommend Paradise Point Resort & Spa.
As a couple we are known for getaways and vacations, so we needed a local place that would give the feeling of being off on a tropical island. Paradise Point was it. The weather, the views, the gardens, ocean, waterfalls etc. made it easy to plan without for need to decor setup. The ballrooms attached to the dock were perfect for our cocktail hour and reception. No complaints about service either, which is always great! The only problem was the wait staff taking plates before our guest were finished with each portion of the meal, from the salad to the cake.
My ceremony and reception were at Baleen Restaurant, which was very beautiful. They overcharged on my cake cutting, but the front desk took care of that. The room we stayed at was supposed to be upgraded, which it wasn't. The bell staff was extremely nice driving me around the resort for my wedding pictures, but the front desk was not nice and almost rude.
My husband and I first came here on our first weekend getaway when we were first dating. When we thought of a honeymoon destination, we couldn't think of anywhere better than Paradise Point. We love that this place is off the beaten path. It's very relaxing and quiet. Another great thing is that Paradise Point isn't far from all of the great places that San Diego has to offer. We can't wait to go back.
The location right on the bay and floor to ceiling windows that looked right out onto the water.;Will need to use chair covers and remind yourself of details that are supposed to be set on tables. (round mirrors on table tops for center pieces)
It is a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful outdoor wedding. The reception area has a great outdoor deck area that is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful view of the water and sunset. The food was great and the reception room had great floor to ceiling windows that looked out onto the deck and water.;A Wedding Planner is recommended.
It was all outside next to the beach. We got married barefoot in the sand and the reception followed immediatly on the grass. It was amazing
Outside the reception ballroom was so lush and green for the cocktail hour and the room was clean and set-up by the resort staff exactly as we planned.
We loved that the ballroom was not hidden away in a hotel but was waterfront and opened onto a large deck that was just for our use. We loved the floor to ceiling windows that highlighted the amazing view. The food was great and the waitstaff was very attentive. When we realized we weren't going to have as many guests as we thought we were able to add in things like after-dinner snacks and tequila shots for the toast to help meet our minimum.;Make sure you factor in the service fee and be aware that they tax you on it too so you're looking at an additional 30% on top of the minimum you have to meet.
