Hello there! First of all I need to start by saying that the venue is beautiful! I had my wedding in the Meyer Ballroom and the view with the river was amazing. The ballroom was big enough to fit my big Mexican family (you need to invite everyone or else they'll be upset with you) and my live band of 10 guys, and my DJ!! Kelsey is amazing, she was so patient with me (and also my mother) and she made everything go so smoothly the day of my wedding that I didn't have a care in the world, I enjoyed 100% of my night. I planned my wedding in two months . . . crazy I know but she was honestly awesome, she answered all of my questions promptly and she even had a brand new chapstick for me on my wedding day!! Jennifer and Bill were also a great help in making my big day be wonderful, since my now husband is in the military he was not here for all the crazy wedding planning (good for him, stressful for me) but they were so great in meeting my needs. This is an amazing place to hold your wedding, the Grand Ballroom is gorgeous as well, but I preferred the view of the river :) Either way, you will not regret choosing this venue. -Again thank you Paramount team for making my day one I will never forget!
Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the Paramount's Grand Gallery! We had our 190 person wedding in August in the Grand Gallery. The venue is absolutely stunning! We were looking for a venue that was different than the standard banquet hall, when we found the Paramount Theater. We were blown away with how beautiful everything turned out. With how stunning the theater is, center pieces and other wedding day decor was a breeze because the venue is so gorgeous on its own. On top of it all, the staff was superb! We worked with Kelsey and she was amazing...organized, friendly, knowledgable and quick to jump in when we needed some support, especially the day of the wedding. (We needed some extra microphones for the ceremony musicians, and Kelsey jumped in to get them set up, without hesitation.) For how stressful wedding planning can be, there was no stress when it came to matters of our venue. We can't even begin to describe how wonderful the staff and venue are. The space comfortably held all of our guests. The dance floor was perfectly centered for everyone to see and get to, even from the second floor. Overall we couldn't have asked for anything better! The Paramount was PERFECT!
I can not say enough great things about having my wedding at The Meyer Ballroom. From booking the venue to the day-of everything was absolutely perfect. The wedding coordinator was always on top of everything, answering all my questions and emails (and there were a lot!) and even giving me advice when I asked for it! The ballroom and atrium were gorgeous and everything I could have ever dreamt I wanted them to be for my big day. The transition from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception was seamless and perfect. I couldn't have asked for a more stress-free or more perfect experience in a wedding day! We went with Enticing Cuisine for our caterer and the food was delicious and the set-up/dinnerware was perfect. Jason allowed us to have a baked potato bar and it was a hit! The entrees and sides were fabulous and we got so many compliments on the food! Guests keep telling us how wonderful our wedding was and how it was the best they have been too - so thank you to The Meyer Ballroom and staff. My husband and I were able to customize our wedding day by having a popcorn bar during the cocktail hour, a dessert table (prepared by family friends instead of a caterer) and also having a sparkler send off!! The wedding favors were the BEST! All of our guests have enjoyed being able to go to a show at the Paramount. My husband and I loved that the open bar was included in the venue package and our guests also loved the service! I would recommend this venue to anyone for their wedding day! Everything was absolutely PERFECT!
I'm a fellow vendor (wedding specialist from Howl2Go dueling pianos) and working with Kelsey and everyone at the Meyer Ballroom was wonderful. They were all so helpful before and after the event we did, and everyone has that team mentality which helps weddings go so smoothly! All of your vendors have the same goal to make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch, and to work with people committed to working together to make that happen is refreshing and successful. The wedding went great and left everybody happy! Couldn't recommend them more!
Bill Pope & Kelsey Swindle were absolutely amazing. We have 0 complaints. From the moment Bill showed us the spaces and gave us a tour, we both felt strongly we had found our wedding venue home. Bill was Everything, I really want to emphasize that. Very thorough, very friendly, and after the rest of our tours that day of different venues, BILL sold us on paramount. The beautiful spaces helped a bit too, I suppose ;) Bill also handled my many emails and was extremely attention to detail in helping me understand the contract. And I had a lot of questions. Bill was an absolute dream to work with. I attempted to ask him to come to the wedding very early on! And Kelsey, our wedding coordinator, was a serious walking angel on Earth. She also handled my many emails with fantastic response time and handled our vendors by calling them to set up deliveries the day of. I have tears in my eyes writing this because we are SO THRILLED with the level of service Bill & Kelsey provided. Unmatched by anyone else. And we have 4 other venue tours to prove it! :) We used the Copley theater for our ceremony, the atrium for cocktail hour, and the Meyer ballroom for reception. The Copley was really fun and the stagehand Craig helped make the ceremony whimsical with his sound, lighting, and curtain know-how. There's even a backstage area to take fun photos in or get ready in. The atrium sells itself and we were able to print large movie posters to pop into their frames to showcase (we loved this unique addition). The ballroom also sells itself. The long glass windows show the fox river. The wood floors can input a dance floor anywhere in the room that you want. Well done, Kelsey and Bill! It was you two who made our day what it was. The spaces only helped make our photos more beautiful. THANK YOU a million times over. I hope you are booked solid forever because otherwise people are truly missing out on using your spaces as their venue.
We had our wedding ceremony at the Copley Theatre and our reception at the Meyer Ballroom last weekend. It was by far one of the best choices that we made! Everyone on their staff is very helpful and made our day so special. The entire venue is very beautiful and we highly recommend it!
This venue was absolutely stunning, our guests were in awe and our pictures turned out beautiful. Kelsey, our wedding coordinator, was so great to work with. She was very responsive, flexible, and accommodating. She really put me at ease since she was so on top of everything. She helped us set up, she cleaned up before we could even jump in, and she even personally delivered my friends bag that was accidentally left behind. We could not be happier with our experience!
We held our art-deco themed wedding reception in the Grand Gallery in July 2017, and we cannot thank Kelsey enough for her work on our special day. From set-up the day before to take-down after the reception ended, she was a machine. Her communication was clear, her processes were efficient, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the second we arrived to the moment we left after the perfect night. Plus, the entire staff working our wedding was cheerful and polite. I'd recommend the Grand Gallery to anyone looking to have a unique, glamorous, memorable heck of a party.
The staff at The Meyer Ballroom did a wonderful job with our wedding. Jordan, the coordinator was responsive, understanding, and very detailed-orientated. She covered all the details to make sure we were happy with our special day. This venue is beautiful, and the staff is nothing but kind and helpful. I highly recommend.
My husband and I had our wedding here in May 2017, and it was great! The staff was wonderful and the ballroom itself was absolutely stunning. Very easy to work with.. great parking situation as well.
My husband and I just got married and had our reception in the Grand Gallery in early June of 2017. The staff were so helpful and accommodating throughout this entire process which was great since we were planning our wedding from 6 hours away. Our wedding day was perfect and the staff made sure that every detail was followed perfectly. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in the area as it is a romantic, classic, and elegant venue that is sure to make your special day perfect!
We were married at the Grand Gallery earlier this month. Everything was exactly how I dreamed it would be. From the venue tour back a 18 months ago to the clean up after The wedding, the staff was friendly and accommodating every step of the way. We appreciated the day of coordinator, Briana, ( who was a rockstar!) she helped so much with contacting vendors and making sure everything was in and on time for the day. We wanted a unique venue that our guests would never forget. We loved the ease of planning and the beauty and charm of the theatre itself. We have gotten so many compliments and are sure we will continue to get them years down the road!! Thank you!!
We love working with the Paramount's Meyer Ballroom they have always delivered great service and has always accommodated our needs. They run a well organized reception hall to keep your evening on course so that the couple enjoys their wedding. Looking forward in working in many events to come! My husband and I were married at the Paramount's Grand Gallery in August 2016. We had both our ceremony and reception here. I really cannot rave enough. From first to last, the staff and our coordinator (Mandy) were phenomenal -- professional, kind, and helpful. The space was absolutely unique and beautiful, and we received SO many compliments on the venue itself and how no one had ever been a wedding quite like it. It really is a stunning venue where the price is quite reasonable, and you get so much value on the money you spend. Absolutely no regrets. You will not go wrong here.
My husband and I held our ceremony and reception in the meyer ballroom and it was absolutely amazing. The staff was great, the set up was beautiful. Our wedding coordinator kelsey swindle did a fantastic Job throughout our whole process and made everything less stressful for me. She was there anytime I needed her and had any questions about anything. She made the entire night run smoothly and I am so appreciative of that. I would totally recommend the paramount to anyone for an event.
We had such an amazing experience having our wedding and reception at the Paramount Theater. We chose to have the ceremony in the Grand Ballroom and the reception on the theater stage. We couldn't be happier with both location decisions! The Grand Ballroom was such a lovely setting for our ceremony and the Paramount was gracious about allowing decorations and for us to make it our own. The stage was really the best spot for a really fun and lovely reception. It provided a unique atmosphere for us and our 130+ guests. There was plenty of dance floor space even with all of the tables and chairs and the open bar. The open bar was a big success with the guests (believe it or not) and totally worth doing. The venue, with open bar, and an outside caterer and bakery, all fell under our budget. We felt like we got away with something having paid such a reasonable amount for such a fun, beautiful, historic, unique venue. Guests kept asking how we found out about it. The lighting on the stage also happens to be really great for flattering photography. The view from the stage is also quite stunning. If this were in Chicago it would be booked for years and way more expensive! Our Event Coordinator Kelsey made sure everything went smoothly and was so helpful, resourceful, friendly, and even calming. They Paramount even had a pretty little bridal room for me and my bridesmaids. The bridal room was equipped with Champagne, a full length stand-alone mirror, headache medicine, snacks, two free tickets to a show at the Paramount and other very helpful amenities.
My husband and I had our reception there at the end of July. We got engaged in February so it was quick planning and the Paramount was amazing the entire way. The space itself was beautiful and a great value (we were not looking to spend a lot). It overlooks the river with a whole wall of windows and has pretty dark laminate/wood floors. Everyone we worked with was very responsive and professional. Kelsey was our coordinator and she was AMAZING! She was so helpful along the way and went over every detail with me, especially the ones I hadn't even though of. She was patient with my indecision because I really didn't have a specific way I wanted anything done, just wanted everyone to have a fun night! Also, parking the night of really wasn't an issue! They provide the bar package and you use an outside local caterer from a list they provide (we used Enticing Cuisine). If you are looking for a local venue with an affordable price, the Meyer Ballroom is the way to go!
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Paramount Theatre in August, and it was absolutely amazing! Jennifer, their event coordinator, met with me multiple times throughout the planning process, to make sure we both were familiar with every single detail and update as plans progressed. She was always very helpful in answering my questions via email too, and I emailed her A LOT! :) The Paramount's staff took care of everything on the wedding day, so that my husband and I could enjoy every second of our celebration. It was honestly perfect! From the bartenders, to the tech crew, everyone went above and beyond to make for a great evening. We could not be happier with our decision to get married at the Paramount Theatre, and cannot speak highly enough of Jennifer and her staff!
I used the Meyer Ballroom for my daughter's wedding in April. Jennifer, the event coordinator, and her staff were extremely helpful and efficient. They made the evening reception non stressful and everything went so very smoothly. It was great. Recommend the venue and staff very highly.
Absolutely BeautifulReviewed on 10/13/2014 Teagan R
I used the Paramount Theatre for my September wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. The Event coordinator made sure everything was taken care of, scheduled meetings around my schedule, walked me through every detail ever time, answered all of my questions and dealt with my crazy wedding mood swings! The Ceremony and Reception were both held in their main lobby, which was very open and next to their newly remodeled bar, which was amazing. I recommend it 100%!
Amazing Venue & StaffReviewed on 8/31/2012 Stefanie S
I suggested that my sister have her wedding at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, IL since her and her husband are actors and met in a show. It is a beautiful art deco theatre with all the trimmings- tapestries, chandeliers, and a beautiful dressing room. The staff was wonderful- particularly Jenna, Emily and an amazing security guard who I can't remember her name :(. My sister didn't have a cake box to take her cake home- they found a box; the candy bar didn't have any more bags to save the remaining candy- they found bags. They kept the wedding moving on schedule. They were friendly and courteous. They stayed and helped clean-up and pack-up all items into the appropriate vehicles. They were a joy and a pleasure to work with the day of my sister's wedding. Thank you!!
1930s Art Deco Historical TheatreReviewed on 8/27/2012 Laura S
My husband and I are actors and met doing a show. It was only fitting that we get married in a theatre. Our ceremony was held in the original lobby underneath a beautiful chandelier with a staircase as our aisle. We then had our reception onstage of the theatre. It was unique, vintage, and very much us. Jenna was our coordinator for the day and she was absolutely wonderful!
Stunning Reception Venue!Reviewed on 2/22/2011 Britta H
We held our reception at the Paramount Grand Gallery, which is a beautiful new 2-story ballroom attached to the historic Paramount Theater in Aurora. The staff was very helpful, the price was reasonable for what we got, and everyone was very impressed - the Paramount makes a gorgeous setting for a stunning reception!
