Parkkonen Photography

I normally hate having my picture taken, but Monica made the process so easy and pleasant that I actually had fun! She had so many great ideas for poses and locations that we didn't have to think about it at all. We haven't gotten the disc of photographs yet (my wedding was only two days ago!) but she showed me some of the pictures on her camera and I was absolutely blown away by how they looked. I can't wait to see them all. Highly recommended.

My wedding photos turned out absolutely beautiful, I am very happy and very excited with the whole process. From start to finish we had a amazing day! Monica Parkkonen was my photographer for my engagement session, and valentine pictures which turned into snow pictures! She is a fabulous lady and captures the right moments! Monica was the photographer at our wedding 5 days ago, and I was surprised to see that she brought another photographer with her to ensure every aspect of our day was captured. She has a heart for photography, it's her desire to capture every emotion that you feel and for that to be shared with anyone who views the photos. In addition to her joy of photography, she is also extremely creative. Prior to us entering the reception she took photos of every couple at our wedding! I would have never thought to do something like that. She was great to help us with time management, because (like most weddings) we were beginning to run behind schedule. Monica was able to adapt to a faster pace and still obtain all of the photos we were looking for in a timely manner. I loved working with her, as did my entire family. She made this day so special, and I would highly recommend her to every and anyone who wants a fun, loving, creative and versatile photographer.

Monica was so sweet-the whole family loved her. She took amazing photos but never felt "in the way". Her pictures look like art work instead of staged photos. If I lived closer I would make her my go to photgrapher for every occassion!

Monica is awesome! She is up to date on all the cute pictures to take. We had your traditional photos, but she also incorporated a lot of the fun pictures I wanted too. She is so positive and upbeat, that you can't help but feel great about yourself- and that really shows up in your pictures too! We also opted for an additional photographer, which I HIGHLY recommend. That allows one to be with the groom and the other to be with the bride the entire time. That way each and every moment can be photographed!

I am getting married in June 2012 but I just had to write about the marvelous way Monica & I have communicated via telephone and email. This is a second marriage for both Dan and myself but we wanted to have some photos to mark the occasion. Our wedding will take place on a weekday and Monica is very familiar with the wedding location. She has so many ideas for our important day and seems as excited as we are to participate. Monica and her assistant worked wonderfully at my wedding! They made everyone feel comfortable and got some amazing shots! I also used her for my boudoir shoot and she was awesome! I am still in the planning stages of my wedding so I have A LOT going on right now. When I met with Monica, I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding immediately. Within the first few minutes of our conversation, she was already giving me some great ideas for our wedding photos. First, we loved meeting Monica! Second, our pictures were amazing. She did our engagement session, our save the dates, and our wedding photography! Monica was awesome!!! She was not only our photographer she became our friend too!! We were married in the middle of a Hurricane, and she was right by our sides, because we didn't know if it was going to be possible that weekend at Myrtle Beach. She was there every step, praying with me, and helping me create a Plan B, because the strom was coming. I have you know the pictures were beautiful it was okay that we were not able to have the wedding on the beach, because she helped to make it special for me, my husband, and all of our guests. My group can be a pretty rough one, but they loved Monica. It's amazing how you can be all of those things and be so talented, and professional. Thanks Monica for all that you did for us. I simply can't say enough good things about Monica. When looking at photographers for our wedding we looked at Monica's website and decided she was the only one we wanted. We didn't even meet with any other photographers. She is based in SC but when she came up to New Hampshire for a wedding she was so nice as to stop off in Boston and do our engagement photos. The fact that she went so much out of her way really impressed myself and my now husband. Not only did we find her to be a very easy going and fun person, but her photos were out of this world. We were completely blown away by her in every way. My husband and myself feel so indebted to her and couldn't imagine what our wedding would have been like without her.

You will absolutely LOVE Monica! She is so personable and easy to work with. She makes you feel very comfortable when posing for pictures. I have always felt very awkward when having pictures taken and I didn't feel that way with her at all! Her photographs are out of this world. Monica was so easy to work with during the planning of our destination wedding. She took so many amazing pictures, and was so much fun to work with. Everyone loved her during our Rehearsal and Wedding.

Monica did an amazing job, she was so enthusiastic about ever picture she took, she made me and my new husband feel like movie stars. The poses and action shots she captured were so amzaing, no else else could have captured these moments.

Monica was very accomadating and able to work with our very small budget. We chose to do an hourly rate and were given the printing rights to our photos afterwards. The photos cam out beautifully. On my wedding day I had a broken ankle and was in a cast. Monica was able to change the poses, etc so that my cast wasn't never visible, and didn't effect our photo oppurtunities.

With changes in our photographer she stepped in a did a great job. She was so fun to work with day of and I appreciate the great job she did. She is so fun to work with
