If I could give this venue zero stars, I absolutely would. I’m writing this so that no other bride has to go through what we did. We stayed for three days and everything seemed fine leading up to the wedding — until the morning of our ceremony.
As we began setting up our sound system, we noticed several passive-aggressive signs in the surrounding yards warning guests to “respect the neighbors” and “remember people live here.” We brushed it off at first, thinking it wouldn’t be a problem since our wedding was a small, intimate family event — not a loud party.
Then, out of nowhere, our ceremony was nearly ruined. A neighbor, who we later learned is infamous to anyone familiar with this venue, began blasting extremely loud music through outdoor speakers directly next to the property. The music was so loud that no one would have even been able to hear us say our vows.
My family members had to risk their safety to approach this man and beg him to turn it down long enough for us to get married. When we brought this issue to the venue owners, their response was infuriating — “That’s just Greg. There’s nothing we can do about him.”
Excuse me? You knowingly rent out a wedding venue next to a hostile neighbor who has harassed other couples before, and you do nothing to warn paying guests? Nowhere in the booking materials, website, or any of the reviews I saw before booking mentioned this. Yet, after the fact, we learned that every vendor we worked with — caterers, photographers, videographers — already knew about “Greg” and his behavior.
To make matters worse, the music started again around 9 PM during our reception. Law enforcement had to be called just to get him to turn it down. At that point, our celebration was over. We sat quietly around a campfire, our entire evening ruined, while the resort staff continued to do absolutely nothing.
The owners’ attitude and lack of accountability are unacceptable. They continue to profit off of weddings here while knowing full well that this neighbor frequently sabotages events — and yet they offer no warning, no solutions, and no refunds.
If you value your peace, safety, and sanity on your wedding day, do not book this venue. The location might look beautiful online, but it’s not worth the risk. I wouldn’t wish the stress, fear, and heartbreak we experienced on any other couple.

We chose the Smoky Mountain Pavilion because the venue itself is undeniably breathtaking. Our package included both lodges and a honeymoon cabin, and we invested a significant amount of money trusting that the experience would reflect the beauty of the location. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall management fell shockingly short of expectations.
From the start, we received no clear instructions or guidance on check-in, cabin access, or venue procedures. We also paid for a honeymoon cabin that was never provided, and had to follow up ourselves to even discuss reimbursement — no proactive apology or acknowledgment was offered.
What made matters worse was a situation that the venue team was clearly aware of but never disclosed to us. There is a local resident nearby who is extremely disruptive, and there is even a large sign displayed on his property warning guests not to play music and implying the venue knowingly ignores this issue when taking people’s money. During our actual wedding ceremony, this individual played loud music — including Bible verses and religious tracks — which completely disrupted the moment. The music continued later at night, disturbing our guests while they were trying to sleep.
We reported this immediately, hoping for concern, support, or at the very least a sincere apology. Instead, Amanda (cabin administrator/manager) and the Parkside team showed zero empathy or accountability. There was no apology for the disruption to our wedding day, no acknowledgment of the emotional impact, and no professionalism in resolving the matter. We were told a check would be sent for the cabin we never received — again, without an apology.
While the Smoky Mountain Pavilion is visually stunning, the lack of responsibility, communication, professionalism, and care from the resort management was deeply disappointing. For a venue at this price point, guests deserve more than a pretty view — they deserve reliability, transparency, and respectful service. Sadly, that was not our experience.
Any questions?

We LOVED having our wedding at the Sky View Pavilion. My family was able to stay at the Sky View Lodge and my husband and I stayed in Serenity. The entire resort is BEAUTIFUL with incredible views. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was! Amanda was also SUPER helpful and quick to respond to all my questions about planning the wedding! We are looking forward to making Parkside our go-to when visiting Pigeon Forge!

The venue was absolutely gorgeous, you can't beat the view. If we could do it all over again, we would choose the same pavilion at Parkside. The staff was extremely kind and helpful when needed, but were never intrusive. We loved Parkside's flexibility as we had a destination wedding and had a long trek home the day after the wedding; we appreciated having the option to leave any third party rentals in the venue for Parkside to take care of and ensure they were picked up by the local businesses. The biggest improvement for Parkside would be the line of communication week/weekend-of. It was a bit stressful regarding the added-on shuttle service communication, as well as getting access into the venue/honeymoon cabin. I had to reach out and wait for a response in order to get the key from the keypad so we could start setting up, and for us to get the code in order to access the honeymoon cabin night-of. In my opinion, all this information should have been included when I checked into the cabin. We also think there could be some better parking enforcement for guests staying in the large cabins attached to the venue. We had to escalate this problem in order for our wedding party/family to park in our cabin's designated parking spots.

When my fiancé and I booked our wedding at The Magnolia in Pigeon Forge I ended up reaching out to someone that I saw had a beautiful wedding at the same venue. I wanted to ask her some questions about vendors, and through our conversation she mentioned that we had to stay at the Parkside Resort. She couldn’t have been more right! The Resort and all of the cabins were the PERFECT place for all of our guests to stay, to be close to one another, and to spend the week seeing the most epic views of the Smoky Mountains. My fiancé and I decided to book the Mountain View Lodge for our entire wedding party and their significant others, and I highly recommend doing that! It was so special to get to stay with our wedding party, for all of them to be able to get to know one another before our wedding day, and to also have a house big enough for our wedding guests to all come hang out and spend time together during our wedding week. We even had our “welcome party / rehearsal dinner” at the cabin and it was perfect! There is so much space and it easily fit our 60 wedding guests! I also got to see some of the other cabins because our guests were all staying at the resort and WOW, they were all incredible. A Mountain Paradise is the best cabin in my opinion because the view was truly unbelievable. We had the blessing of staying there for 2 nights before checking into the Mountain View Lodge and waking up those mornings to that view was simply unmatched. Can’t recommend this resort enough, whether you’re having a wedding in the area or simply just going there on a vacation.

We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at Parkside. Our ceremony and reception were hosted in the Sky View Pavilion and we had the Sky View Cabin for the weekend. We loved this intimate ceremony space! It is a perfect venue for someone who doesn’t like to feel rushed…we didn’t have to clean until the next day and we had no limit on how long the party could last. We also had the ability to decorate the entire day prior to the wedding and have the rehearsal in the ceremony space and the rehearsal dinner inside the cabin. I would absolutely recommend Parkside for a wedding! We are so happy with Parkside and would do it over again!

We absolutely LOVE Parkside Resort. We had our wedding at The Magnolia & fell in love with the cabins at Parkside the first time we saw them. We rented out about 8-10 cabins for our wedding party, friends & family & it was the best decision we could have made. They were all walking distance to each other & made for the most fun weekend. The cabins are so beautiful & nice & their staff is very helpful & accommodating. I would highly recommend Parkside Resort.
