We rented our tent, tables and chairs from them for our wedding and they caused so much unnecessary stress.
Due to the nature of our venue, everything we did was ala carte and we were responsible for coordinating with our vendors for the del...ivery and setup of the rentals. Party Line came highly recommended by my caterer and by the venue. Both of those vendors have since apologized for this.
Communication leading up to the wedding was spotty and I went weeks without getting a response from Mike. It got to the point where I thought they were going to just blow the wedding off completely. It wasn't until my caterer intervened that I did get a response.
The day before our wedding was a nightmare because of them.
The tent was to be delivered and set up at 9am the day before the wedding. When the tent still hadn't arrived by 1pm we called to ask where they were. Of course, we couldn't get Mike on the phone and were told the tent was delayed & would be there "soon". 3pm - still no tent. After a few more calls they showed up at 5pm!! 8 HOURS LATE! We were supposed to have left the venue by 3:30 so we could prepare for our rehearsal dinner. We had to actually move it back a few hours which was not easy to coordinate last minute.
When the tent did arrive, the men who were there to set it up were rude. The man who got out of the truck to greet me was talking to me with food in his mouth and just said they got delayed at their last appointment and proceeded to blame their previous client. Unacceptable!
I emailed Mike on the spot & let him know this was not acceptable and I felt he took advantage of us. He magically had the time to talk to me then & called me when I was making the mad dash to get ready for my rehearsal dinner. Suddenly, they had all these extra people they were going to send to get the tent put up and assurances were made all would be ready (ps - they weren't ready). Too little, too late. Where was this extra team when you made us wait 8 hours? I thought blaming the other client was unfair. We paid them and had a contract just like anyone else. Why should we be punished?
The day of the wedding, the tables were not in the correct spot even though we left explicit directions with measurements. One of the techs from the day before was there and had a horrible attitude (Thanks for all the dirty looks on the morning of my wedding!) Since they showed up so late the day before, we had to wait and set things up the day of. Tables needed to be rearranged, dance floor set up...etc. It was just too much to deal with the day of the wedding.
The on-site technician for the day of the wedding (who we paid extra to have there) didn't seem to show up until the wedding was in full swing. I hadn't seen him beforehand and he magically appeared well into the cocktail hour and interrupted us while we were greeting guests. Uh, thanks? Where were you before the wedding when we needed flaps opened and heaters moved?
The only good thing I have to say about Party Line is that the tent itself was pristine, the lighting kit was great & the tables and chairs were in good condition.
Would not recommend! Weddings are stressful enough. You don't need added aggravation!
