The best decision we could have ever made. The space is iconic...exactly what you would envision for the perfect French Quarter reception. A little on the small side, but it complemented our 40 guests perfectly, with the exact right amount of room to eat, mingle, and dance. The food was AMAZING...guests are still RAVING about the alligator bites, gumbo, and bread pudding (our compliments to Chef Frank). It was also so much fun to open up the balcony looking over Bourbon Street to end our reception. They even wheeled a TV into the space at our request to ensure guests had the opportunity to watch the LSU game. Jennifer, who helped us through the planning process, and Tyrone, who coordinated the event day-of, were both professional, helpful, prompt, friendly, and so accommodating. Pat O's allowed us to drop off decor the day before our wedding and pick up the day after, so we didn't have to worry about logistics the day-of. The Briars Suite included hors d'oeuvres, dinner, dessert, and a full open bar for 3 hours at an incredibly reasonable price (Joey, the bartender, took GOOD care of us). Hands down, the best investment of the night.
We got married on May 22(saturday) in New Orleans. We are from Philadelphia and had 130 guests coming. We wanted to put drink tickets in our welcome bags to treat our guests to a hurricane to start their friday night off/ to be able to say hi to our guests who have traveled. We met many of our guests in the courtyard on Friday night. The ambiance was perfect, the service was great and the drinks and food were delicious. Chad from sales had drink tickets ready for us to pick up in advance from the gift shop to stuff the welcome bags for guests. When my husband and I got there, we talked to Larry(server) and let him know we were getting married/ we have family and friends joining us. He let us light the fountain and it was awesome!!! He made sure everyone in the courtyard was well taken care of and he was so much fun! Thank you for a great experience from start to finish and for memories we will always cherish!
My husband and I decided to have a small destination wedding (about 40 guests) last minute after planning a large one became too much of a hassle. We started planning in December to elope the weekend following New Year’s. Pat O’s was very quick at responding to my inquiry, and once I decided to move forward with them they made the planning process very easy (even during the holidays)! We literally had the best night of our lives there. Our guests had SO much fun, they were talking about it for weeks. My parents even extended our time there an additional hour because we weren’t ready to call it a night!! The Briar Suite was the perfect size for our guest count, and we had private access to the balcony facing Bourbon. Our guests had so much fun tossing beads!! We also booked one of their piano players and she was absolutely amazing and knew every single song my guests requested. I didn’t have time to eat because I was running all over the place taking pictures with friends and family, but everyone thought the food was superb! And the open bar included all of their signature drinks, so lots of hurricanes!!
We’re so sad our wedding is over, but we’re already planning to throw one of our anniversaries at Pat O’s in the future!!

We had a small destination wedding and decided on Pat O'Brien's Briar's Room site unseen. This was for about 30 people and it was perfect. The best part was the balcony that overlooks Bourbon Street. My guest were throwing beads at pedestrians all night. The wait staff was very professional and helpful all night. They even assisted my handicapped father up and down the stairs. Jennifer was our contact before the wedding and made us comfortable from start to finish. This is the absolute best place to have a small destination wedding. Your guests will never forget!

What more can I say other than AMAZING! My husband and I were both born and raised in the big easy, and we have many memories at Pat O's, so having our wedding reception here was a no brainer.
THE VENUE
First of all, the place is so beautiful. The whole venue was the perfect size for our reception of about 200 people, but the venue is flexible and can accommodate a smaller party and even a larger party! The decor is warm and very much reminiscent of the decor inside Pat O's on Bourbon Street. There was plenty of room but we were able to see everyone easily. There are also several areas to escape the crowds and the music and enjoy a drink. All-in-all, the perfect venue for us.
THE STAFF
INCREDABLE. I cannot say enough about the amazing staff! Jennifer was our point of contact for the venue, and she was instrumental in making our big day a tremendous success. There was never an email not replied to or a phone call not answered or returned. She and the rest of the Pat O's staff were so accommodating to all our wishes, including the bar tenders (we...like to drink!) and our bridal consultant who ran around all night and made sure we had anything we (or our parents) needed!
FOOD
HOLY. COW. The food was unbelievable. Now, I've been to a wedding or two, and normally the food is ok. Something to munch on when you've had a few too many or you're simply STARVING, but isn't much to write home about. Pat O's has an amazing chef and he prepared the most delicious food and we were so happy and so so satisfied!
OVERALL
We are SO SO happy we went with Pat O'Brien's on the River as our venue for our wedding. We could not ask for a better evening, better food or better service. Thank you SO MUCH Pat O's for making our reception unbelievable!
Pat O's on the River was an amazing reception venue! From the very beginning of our planning process to our reception night everyone was so accommodating and helpful. We worked with Jennifer during the planning process and she was great! She always quickly answered our questions and gave wonderful recommendations. She made the planning process easy and stress free. She's coordinated all of our vendors for the day of the reception and the staff made sure everything was set up perfectly. Evelyn, our reception night coordinator was also great! She made sure all of our needs were met and even stopped traffic to help us make it to the reception! The food and drinks were wonderful as well! The staff made sure we all had food to take home and packed all of our decorations for my mom to pick up the next week, which made the end of night stress free! We would 100% recommend Pat O's on the River for anyone looking for an amazing New Orleans venue!
Pat O'Brien's on the River is the TOTAL package. We were a destination couple- so having decorations, food, alcohol, flowers, and communication with our vendors all included was a dream. We really didn't have to worry about a thing there. Walking into our reception was incredible with views of the Riverboats at sunset over the Mississippi. Jennifer is also amazing to work with and was available to us every step of the way. We also had someone at the reception who made sure that we (bride and groom) had everything we needed and a drink in our hand at all times. The food is also amazing. The venue is beautiful on its own with the copper table tops, floor to ceiling windows looking over the river, chandeliers, iron gates, and brick walls. Don't hesitate to book here for a worry-free reception!
We got married in March 2019 at Pat O's on the River. It ran so smoothly. Jennifer was amazing the months leading up for the wedding. She was quick to respond, so accommodating, and gave great advice. The event itself went off without a hitch. Multiple people mentioned how great the flow was. Food was good enough and the bars were great. Highly recommend!
I don't have anything but kind words for the Pat O'Briens team. throughout the entire wedding process Pat O's was attentive and accommodating. when my future husband and I booked with them we mostly saw a space that had an unbeatable price, good food and an atmosphere that fit with the vibe we were hoping to achieve. while that would have been enough the team there took our expectations and exceeded them on every front, wedding coordination, vendor coordination, countless emails and always an attention to detail. I have never heard another bride say their day went perfectly but thanks to the amazing people working there we truly had the perfect wedding, everyone had a great time, the food and drinks were amazing and everything was seamless. the team made sure that coordination between vendors was covered, coordination between their team was covered, and my husbands and I's feelings were accounted for, all at a price that I could only dream of and yet was a reality. I 100% recommend this amazing venue and team of thoughtful individuals who took our dreams and took it to more than we ever could have dreamed of. thank you for the amazing memories for they are worth more than gold.
I highly recommend Pat O's on the River! The space looks so amazing at night with the lighting decoration inside with the city lights and reflecting water outside. It's very impressive! The space flows nicely for guests too, with the bar area, outdoor and main space. Pat O's food was delicious and served elegantly. The flowers were gorgeous! They worked very well with our bakery choice.We had a wonderful reception experience!
We initially chose this vendor because of the bar package and the number of included items... Pat O's is a one-stop-shop for a fantastic event. They were the event space, the caterer, the bar, the music, the coordinator, the florist, the flatware, the tables, the linens (which are unnecessary, the copper tables themselves are very cool). They will do everything and make your day as stress-free as it can possibly be. Our wedding was perfect, and all I had to do was show up and take my things when I left. Not to mention the food. OMG THE FOOD.
Jennifer at Pat O's was great from the moment we began exchanging emails. This was my first choice venue . Jennifer was able to reconfigure and we managed to reach an agreement . I did not meet the minimum for guest. We were able to have our wedding here and paid for a set amount of people whether or not we had that many guest. For my groom and I thought it was a win, win .
Jennifer and I kept in touch through the course of the year long wait to our wedding . I meet with her in Aug 2018 to see the venue. I had only seen it online. We also meet up prior to the wedding and I provided her our items for the venue .
Anthony was our day of event coordinator and he was just Superb. Everything was wonderful food, drinks, flowers & service .
Our wedding was simple but it was everything I could have hoped for .
I cannot say enough about our experience with Pat O's on the River.
Our sales contact, Jennifer has been an absolute pleasure to work with. My husband and I were a destination couple from Connecticut and were nervous selecting vendors (especially our reception venue) on photos and reviews alone. Jennifer was so responsive to every question I had (and there were a lot of them), she was also so accommodating to every request we had. When we got to New Orleans to drop off our decorations and misc. items Jennifer showed us around the space and helped us visualize how it would look the day of the wedding. We were definitely not disappointed! The space was incredible, we were in the Promenade room, which in the photos honestly looked a bit small, but seeing it in person was a whole other ball game. The views of the Mississippi River were amazing during the day and even more so at night.
The night of the reception when we entered the venue, we were blown away how they transformed the space to exactly how Jennifer had described to us previously. Everything looked amazing. Our bridal coordinator, also named Jennifer, was absolutely incredible. She met us on the street when we rolled up with our Second Line Parade and led us to the space. As soon as we entered the room she swept us away into the bridal suite and got us drinks and a ton of food- we honestly could not eat it all! She made sure that we were taken care of with food and drink not only at the beginning, but throughout the reception. We continuously would put down our drink to take photos/converse with guests and would always end up losing our drinks, Jennifer was on top of it and would always have a new one ready for us.
The guests had nothing but rave reviews about the staff and the incredible food that they prepared for us that night.
The only minor complaint that some guests were commenting on, was that at the end of the night it did not ease down- it was a hard stop at 9:15 pm (understandable, since that is the time we had the space until) but that the police officer on-site was a bit brash in having people stop and exit the premises. I honestly think it was simply that the night went by so quickly, that they weren't aware that it was time to leave. It did not by any means ruin the night, we kept the party going afterwards.
All of our guests that we've spoken to have stated that this was the best wedding they have ever been to, and I feel that Pat O's played a huge part in that. I would highly recommend them to anyone else looking to get married in New Orleans.
Pat O Briens Briar Suite exceeded all our expectations! Jennifer was wonderful to work and plan with and got us the best set up for the venue. It's a small space but our 47 guests never felt cramped. Everyone raved about the food and the service from the bartender and the entire staff!
Seriously amazing!! We held our rehearsal dinner here and it was perfect. From the initial meeting to the night of, everything was smooth and executed wonderfully. The food was awesome and the staff was great! The views are beautiful and the staff provided everything we needed for the toasts.
Literally could not imagine having our reception anywhere else. Jennifer is a GEM to work with, and absolutely just took care of everything for us. Our guests are still raving about the food, so far as to say, "It was the BEST food we had the whole time we were there." And I have to agree, I love me some NOLA eats, but these reception bites were top notch!
There was another wedding in the space next to us, and at first I was worried that the noises would clash with each other, but Jennifer assured me that we wouldn't even notice, and she was totally right. So if you're a bride who is hesistant to double book with another bride in that other space, don't worry about that.

We held our ceremony and reception at Pat O'Brien's on the River. We could not have imagined a better experience with the team at our wedding venue. Jennifer was tremendous throughout the process preparing for our big day, and the day-of event and wedding coordinators were tremendous. The staff was first class all the way, and their experience really showed at every turn. Their focus on seemingly simple details like getting the couple into the bridal suite to eat before going into the reception, help the day run smooth.
We received great feedback from our guests about the food. It gave our out of town guests a taste of the New Orleans cuisine during their visit. Getting to do the tasting ahead of time and having a variety of options was a big plus.
A big thing that attracted us to the venue, beyond the beautiful setting, was that the venue handled so many details under their umbrella because we didn't want to manage a slew of vendors, as that leaves many more cracks for things to slip through. Pat O'Brien's on the River handles the food, bar, flower arrangements, security and offers the ability to have the ceremony in-house too. It simply makes the whole process more simple to have just one contact on all of those items.

Pat O's is amazing! My husband and I had our reception at Pat O's in September of 2017! I don't live in the New Orleans area so I had to do most of my planning on trips to the city and over the phone. Jennifer made the entire wedding planning process super easy! She was always available to answer any questions I had and was very helpful. Our wedding reception was amazing thanks to the wonderful staff at Pat O's. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone!
We scheduled our wedding reception here 6 months in advance. On the weekend of the wedding, hurricane Nate was due to come in 100 miles to the east around 1am the day after our wedding. Pat obriens called us the morning of our wedding to cancel, claiming they needed to shut down at 2pm the day before the hurricane. They wouldn't push our event up. Then I found out they lied and didn't even close till 6pm! I'm out thousands upon thousands of dollars. My wedding was ruined! 35 guests wanted their money traveling here for it. I spoke to many other ppl in weddings that occurred the same day. Their venues were very accommodating and NONE were cancelled. Obriens did nothing to accommodate. They haven't even done anything to make it up to us! Stay far away from this place.
The Venue, the planners, and the individuals who worked were truly incredible! Jennifer is fantastic! They created a truly magical experience for our Wedding!
I cannot say enough about Pat O's. 1. Best food I've had at a wedding, and I know I'm biased, but it was seriously delicious. 2. Beautiful décor; we barely had to do our own decorations because the copper tables, wrought iron, etc. did just enough. 3. Great price for what is included. For the price, you get a fully stocked open bar, all you can eat food, a cake allowance (which covered our whole cake), centerpieces, and floral arrangements. I haven't heard of any other couples getting what we got for such a good price. 4. Lastly and most importantly, the service was impeccable. The bridal coordinator and her assistants put up and tear down everything for the couple, make sure they are on time for different scheduled events, and even went to walgreens and got my husband cough drops when he started coughing. We were just floored at the incredible service. Overall, we got so many compliments about the venue and food. We could not have asked for anything better. Thanks Pat O's!
We had our rehearsal dinner in the Briar Suite at Pat Os on Bourbon St. It is a beautiful intimate space! They let us hook up our phone so we took over music and made our own dance party. My guests had a great time drinking (too many) hurricanes and throwing beads from our private balcony (Pat Os will even provide the beads!). The food was amazing, we had passed hors deourves, Spinach dip (so good), Baked Brie, Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, and tiny french desserts that waiters passed on trays. The price was very reasonable for how much we ate and drank! Thank you Jennifer for organizing it all and helping me book. I wouldn't hesitate to book and event here again.
We hosted our wedding reception at Pat O's on the River in their Grand Promenade room. We worked with the sweetest, most organized and accommodating - Jennifer Green. The venue space is absolutely gorgeous. The floor to ceiling windows and the patio really open the space up. The decor, furniture and layout are perfect. The pictures on their website doesn't do it justice.
Jennifer helped us bring to life our reception in the exact ways we were hoping. Not only with the traditional reception items but also by booking us talent. We had a palm reader, tarot card reader and digital caricaturist. She steered us in all the right directions with what works well, what does, layout ideas and more.
The day of the room was set up perfectly. The coordinator on site and all the staff were absolutely lovely. They were so nice to us and all of our guests.
The food is excellent. It's always scary when catering an event but the guests were raving about all of the food, especially the high end finger foods passed around and the charcuterie display.
We got our dessert bar from Bittersweet Confections and Pat O's coordinated all of that going very smoothly.
We would also like to note that we planned all of this from Denver without ever stepping foot in NOLA until the weekend of the reception.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Pat O's on the River, and I don't think we could have made a better choice. The venue is beyond beautiful. The food was delicious, the drinks were copious, and the view is amazing. The best part of this place was Jennifer Green, who helped me plan, and the two day-of bridal coordinators who were total pros. They made sure we were in the right place, that we had food, and that we always had a full drink. We had such a blast, and so did all of our friends and family.
Jennifer was the best wedding planner and so patient. She is very understanding and had the best ideas. It was so organized and stress free. The only thing that the wedding party was responsible for was to have a very fun reception.

Pat O's on the River was the perfect place for our wedding reception! Although I grew up in New Orleans, I don't currently live there, so it was really hard to actually be in town to see/do anything...Jennifer was AMAZING! She responded to emails quickly, called me if she needed me, answered ALL of my questions...and was just all around awesome! She made the planning process so much easier. The Grande Terrace was a beautiful location for our reception! Our guests loved looking out over the river. The bar was fabulous - having an open bar without having to worry about what drinks to offer, how much people drank, etc. was awesome. And the food...the food was incredible! The boudin balls were my favorite! But everyone loved the food! No one went hungry, not even us. It was just great. Pat O's on the River has the all-around best package - great coordinator, beautiful location, great food, awesome drinks, & great space. I don't regret having our reception here for a second. We have always loved Pat O’s in New Orleans, especially the piano bar, and were thrilled to have our wedding reception at Pat O’s on the River. The reception venue nicely incorporates elements of Pat O’s and of New Orleans (you cannot beat the view of the Mississippi River from the venue’s balcony). We cannot say enough about how easy Pat O’s was to work with, and while I feel this is rare in weddings, it is a great value considering everything that is included in their wedding packages. The service in general is outstanding. Working with Jennifer was like having a wedding planner, which was important as I lived about six hours away from New Orleans. Jennifer offered so many suggestions, was always quick to respond to emails or phone calls, and even reached out to many of my vendors to coordinate details. A couple of days before the wedding, we simply dropped off the items we wanted to use for decorations, talked with Jennifer about how we wanted it set-up, and she took care of everything after that, including re-boxing everything up for us to take home after the wedding. On the day of the wedding, our bridal coordinator made me and my husband feel so at ease. She took us to a separate room where we were given time to relax, eat and have a drink before making our grand entrance at the reception. She even helped me fix a few tears in my dress from the second line and checked on us often to see if we needed drinks, etc! Trust us, if you want to have an amazing wedding that you can enjoy, Pat O’s is the perfect option.
We got married in October 2016 and had our wonderful reception in the Briar's Suite at Pat O'Brien's! Jennifer assisted us in booking and planning our event and was extremely helpful. Our reception was small, 55 people, and the space was exactly what we wanted. The elegant two room parlor has two balconies, one overlooking Bourbon Street, the other overlooking Pat O'Brien's Courtyard Restaurant. We had a jazz trio with plenty of room for dancing. The food and service was beyond compare. Guests had a great time dancing, eating, enjoying NOLA cocktails and throwing beads! I would definitely recommend the Briar's Suite as a great reception location that emanates the old world feel of New Orleans!
We had our wedding reception in the Grande Terrace at Pat O's on the River and WOW was it amazing. It was one of the best decisions we made in our planning process. If you're an out-of-town bride, working without a wedding planner, and/or simply don't have the time to micromanage your reception, then Pat O's is the place for you. Their all-inclusive packages take care of so many details.
Jennifer Green, the Sales Manager, was incredible to work with. She is very detail orientated and was quick to respond to my constant emails. Since I live out of town, Jennifer was nice enough to show my mother-in-law around the venue while it was being set up for another wedding. She also held a menu tasting for us when I came in town to visit a few months before the wedding. In the weeks before the wedding, she reached out to all our vendors to confirm details. Just all-around awesome at what she does!
The space itself is gorgeous (no decorating necessary). All our guests commented on how delicious the food was. The bartenders kept custom-made premium drinks flowing all night. The waitstaff was professional and accommodating. The onsite bridal coordinator took care of our every need: making sure we were fed and had a drink in our hands, making sure the evening's events ran on time, making sure the DJ & photographer were on the same page, etc.
I cannot recommend them highly enough - you simply cannot beat Pat O's on quality and price!
The venue WAS the decorations! it was beautiful and there was plenty of room for the wedding and the reception! Jennifer and her team were the best! As parents of the bride, we felt like we definitely got our money's worth - food, drinks, flowers, cake allowance, especially service! Thanks Pat O's on the River!

Pat O's on the River was great for our reception! We loved how the space had some New Orleans character, and the balcony overlooking the river was something the guests really enjoyed. The food and drinks were amazing, and the whole package made it easy for someone planning the wedding from out of town. The coordinator was so helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this venue!!
Jennifer Green and everyone at Pat O's on the River made everything so easy, and perfect for our wedding day! The venue is gorgeous without having to be touched, and so much is included in the price! Open top-shelf bar, flowers, and a cake allowance are all included with the price. There is no where else I would have wanted to have my reception. Everything was perfect!
When we began to plan our wedding we knew we wanted a place that was a one stop shop being that we were in a different state. Jennifer and her team did a wonderful job! It was the simplest process I could have ever imagined. The night of the wedding everything flowed perfectly and the coordinator could not have made the night any better. It was a dream come true!

They accommodated every request I had, and gave me suggestions on what other brides had done in the past. They took care of all the setup, and I could not believe how beautiful they had made the place with such little resources I gave them. When my husband and I arrived to the venue they whisked us off to our bridal suite to relax and brought us anything we asked for! The food was phenomenal! At the end of the night they packed everything carefully and loaded it into my mother's car for her. Everyone commented on how beautiful the place is and how friendly the staff was. Definitely considering an anniversary party here! :)
I couldn't have imagined a better place for our reception! We love the original Pat O's and when we found out the open bar included all of their speciality drinks it was a huge plus! Our guests were from Louisiana and Wisconsin and they loved the food! We paid for the extra hour and it was so worth it. The day was perfect and flew by. Jennifer was so easy to work with and had everything set up perfectly. The first thing I said when I danced in with the second line was "Ah everything is just like I wanted!"
There are truly not words to describe how perfect Pat O's on the River and its staff were for our big day, but I will try.
Jennifer, the Events Sales Manager, not only made sure our ceremony and reception venues were perfect, but she got me in contact with reliable vendors. As an out-of-state, bride, those contacts were key and made planning a breeze. She communicated with all of my vendors and left me with 0 worries about their coordinating.
The 2 on-site wedding coordinators made my ceremony flow seamlessly throughout and into the most amazing reception. Every single detail and reception event was spot-on. And when we went to retrieve our items (pictures, guest book, gifts, etc.) the following Monday, all items were boxed up and delivered down to my parents. So nice!
Our guests are still raving about the open bar and delicious food, stating it was truly the best wedding they've ever attended.
Pat O's far exceeded any expectations I had for the most important day of our lives, and they made sure we received a perfect, beautiful, amazing beginning to our happily ever after. We are forever grateful and pleased we chose Pat O's on the River. There is not a single thing I would change about our day.
Everything went really well and the food & service was excellent. Along with the entertainment. My only complaint would be that there is no elevator. After the venue was booked and as it got closer to the booked date, I learned that there wasn't an elevator to the 2nd floor. I wanted to invite the grandparents to the rehearsal party, but wasn't able to because of their handicap. I think you should let people know this when inquiring to book an event.
My wife and I had the great pleasure of hosting our wedding rehearsal dinner at Pat O'Brien's this fall. Everyone that attended couldn't say enough of how great of a time they had. The food was delectable, the space was great, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. I would definitely recommend considering Pat O'Brien's as a potential destination for an event. Make sure to get the crab cakes and a hurricane!

Great venue best value per price, beautiful view from windows and balcony overlooking the Mississippi River and the French Quarter. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Event planner was very pleasant and helpful. Food was delicious. I highly recommend PAT O'S on the River.
I planned this wedding from pictures of the venue online and through email with Jennifer. That simple. The place was beautiful. The food was loved by all. There were 3 different areas for groups to congregate yet close enough to mingle around. I had multiple people tell me it was the best wedding they had ever been too. (I also had my ceremony there). The view over the river and the city are amazing for evening pictures. The staff was amazing. They were even very tolerant and did well at dealing with some of my more foolish guest. I had a variety of guest and I feel everyone was impressed. I have already considered using this venue for another occasion. You won't be disappointed.
Absolutely, the best place to have a New Orleans wedding. The staff were very professional and attentive. The food was excellent and the variety of drinks available were exceptional. The feedback I have received from the guests is that was the best wedding ever that they attended.
After looking at a lot of different venues in the French Quarter area we decided to go with Pat O's on the River for our wedding reception because of the layout of the venue, location to St. Louis Cathedral and the packages they offered. We worked with Jennifer Green throughout the whole planning process, day of and even after. Jennifer was such a joy and blessing to work with. She went above and beyond to make sure our reception ran smoothly! My parents, myself and husband had a blast at our tasting which some of the other venues we looked at did not offer. Chef Jason did an awesome job at the tasting and it was nice to get to know some of the others that would be involved in our special day. Our guests enjoyed the food and drinks and there were absolutely no complaints at all from the reception. Thanks Chef Jason for the drawing on the top of the box of our wedding cake that came home with us. It still makes me smile every time I open our freezer. Thanks again Jennifer for everything! We held our reception at the Pat O'Briens Brier Suite. It's beautiful and is perfect for a small wedding reception. Throughout the entire process of planning and getting everything together, Jennifer with Pat O's was absolutely wonderful. She answered all of my questions in a timely manner. The staff was great throughout the night and they took care of cleanup for us as well. I'm told the food was delicious. (I fell victim to the bride not getting to eat much.) I did get one of the crawdad bites and it was delicious! I should have grabbed more! I would definitely say you can't go wrong with Pat O's. I'm so glad I went with them. My stress level could have been much, much, higher. Everything was a breeze. They coordinated with my baker and DJ so that I didn't have to do it. They also let my photographer set up early with me when I was setting up the flowers. A ++
I recently had my reception at Pat O'Brien's and loved it! Everything was so well organized that I didn't need to stress out about anything. We looked at a lot of reception venues in the French Quarter when making our decision and this one was definitely the best value for what was all included. All of our guests complimented us on the venue choice and everyone had a great time.

My husband and I had a destination wedding in New Orleans on the weekend of June 26th. Since we were having an intimate wedding (60 guests), we chose to have Welcome Reception and invite all of our guests in lieu of a Rehearsal Dinner. We thought Pat O's was a perfect choice because of it's proximity to our wedding venue (Bourbon Orleans Hotel) and the amazing balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. We rented the Briar's Suite for an informal cocktail style reception and it was a PERFECT CHOICE! Jennifer Green and staff were AWESOME. All of the servers and bartenders were super courteous and even allowed us to substitute items on the set catering list at no additional charge. The room is so ornate that minimal decorations are necessary. Please note that this room should only be used for cocktail style receptions as there is minimal space for tables and chairs. Our wedding weekend was amazing and this event was one of the guests favorites. Thanks so much, Pat O's!

The prices were amazing too. I couldn't find another venue that matched my idea for this price. It really is the best value in town.

I eloped, and after we returned, I invited my entire family that lives in Chicago to New Orleans for an Elopement Celebration. We rented Pat O'Brien's Briar suite for the Welcome Party part of our weekend. It was absolutely perfect! The food was amazing, and there was so much of it, we barely made a dent in eating it all. We had the BEST personal bartender with our own private bar! She was awesome! There's a balcony overlooking Bourbon St and bathrooms that are exclusive to the Suite. The suite is like walking back into time, the crown molding and windows are beautiful, and you can hire a piano player to play the piano that is in the Suite also! Great place to throw a reception or party and the quality for the price is outstanding!
Pat O's on the River was the ideal choice for my daughter's wedding in New Orleans. Everything was perfect, from the delicious food and great bar to the dueling pianos. Jennifer was tops during the planning and made everything so easy. Robyn kept everything on schedule at the party and made sure that we were expertly taken care of without being intrusive. We used the Pat'o on the river location for our Welcome party which took place 3.19.2015. The party was the perfect way to welcome out of town guest as well as locals to mix in mingle before our pending nuptials on Saturday. Everyone including New Orleans natives we're blown away by the view, atmosphere, food and boozes. A few locals even stated they've past Jax Brewery thousands times but had never been in the 3rd floor Pat'os location but they were pleasantly surprised. Also for a small fee we add a packaged that allowed for all of our guested to leave with souvenir Hurricane glasses which was a thoughtful touch (also a great price). All in all i was a very happy bride because all of my guest had a great time!!
We used Patty O's Brier Suite for our reception and were thrilled. The value was good but most importantly everyone had a blast. The food was great, the drinks better and the service outstanding. The balcony overlooking Bourbon St only added to the fun and we enjoyed having one of the piano players from downstairs serenade us all night.
We had our wedding reception here and there are not enough words to describe how great they were to us. From the first meeting to the night itself, they were very professional and beyond helpful. They set up everything for us that we dropped off (better than we would have!) and took care of us all night. My drink never got less that 1/2! The view is gorgeous, the venue fabulous and the service is wonderful!
We just had our reception at Pat Os on the River and the venue was absolutely perfect and what we were looking for. It has that laid back New Orleans feel which fit our personality perfect. The only issues we had were that the bridal assistants were not very helpful when you needed them. They told us it was time for the garter toss and then they were no where to be found once we got to the dance floor. We weren't sure what to do and my husband had to go around the reception and search for a chair for the best man to sit on and drag it to the dance floor. Same situation happened with the cake cutting, no where to be found. We were also supposed to be sent home with a package of food and they ended up sending us home with a pile of spinach and artichoke dip and a couple of pieces of meat. There was a decent amount of food left over when the reception was over and they did not send us home with any of it. We were kind of disappointed with the way they handled certain things but we didn't let that ruin the night! The reception was still beautifully decorated and they did do a good job with setting out all of our decorations we asked for!
I had my wedding reception at Pat O's and it was amazing. Jennifer was great about keeping contact and working with me if any changed needed to be made. She was thorough and even made sure she was present at the time the reception started. At that point the coordinators took over. Not only were they right by my side in case I needed anything, they also took amazing care of my parents, in-laws, and of course the groom. They grabbed food, drink, and whatever else we needed. I couldn't have asked for a better staff. They played a huge part in making my wedding perfect!
