Patricia's Weddings & Custom Cakes Unlimited

DO NOT HIRE THEM. They put my 3-tired $900 wedding cake just in the trunk of their car and it fell over! They didn't get a new one or even attempt to fix it. I could only "cut" the top and barely any of my cake was edible. Absolutely horrible.

The cake was delicious and made with real buttercream icing. I was very pleased on my wedding day.

My first wedding was in October of 2015. That marriage didn't last but I loved the cakes from Patricia's. She did an amazing job on my first cake and the flavor and texture was the best I had. Fast forward to 2022 I am engaged again. I go to 4 taste testing at other placed but keep thinking about my first weddings cake from Patricia's. I take my fiance to Patricia's in January 2022 for a tasting. Patricia explains she is selling her business but the baker is staying on. Patricia explains she will be staying in house for the next year or so to show the new owner the business. So we put a deposit down. In May 2022 we went to another tasting and went over design and got all the details finalized with Patricia. In May 2022 we talked to the baker who confirmed she is staying on and gave us confidence. We were nervous because of some of these reviews. June 2022 things got rocky. The store was temporarily closed. No one is answering phones or voice-mail or fb messages. I post in a fb group my issues getting ahold of someone cause I need to make final payment and its due June 27. People where making comments of their issues getting ahold of people or no one being in the store. I finally emailed the store at sales@patriciasweddings.com from their website and the new owner Laura Riley responded within a day. She called me on her personal cell so that I have it for more reassurance. She gave me reassurance she will be there with my cake day of. She even gave my a time slot of when they will be there. 2 days before she even sent a picture of the progress of my cake because she was excited for how it looked. I got a 3 teir wedding cake and a grooms cake. They looked amazing and better than the reference pictures. This is an amazing business and the owner is such a kind hearted woman. I will continue to give Laura my business for years to come.

Our cake was absolutely delicious. Every flavor we tested was amazing so we couldn't go wrong. We had so many compliments from our guests about how good it was. Everyone we worked with at Patricia's was very friendly and helpful. Patricia was absolutely wonderful. She met with us and designed exactly what we wanted.

Patricia was great to meet with. She's very sweet and kind. They don't have a lot of open hours, so you have to pay attention to their schedule before going. Our cake was so beautiful and delicious. Fresh and flavorful. The signature raspberry cake is just so good!

We booked Patricia's for our wedding cake. We went in a month before to go over all the details. Showed her pictures of how we wanted the cake decorated and she wrote everything down. I get a call from Patricia the night before my wedding asking how I wanted it decorated. I was in shock. Then come wedding day 2 hours before my ceremony the cake has still not arrived. I call and they tell me it's on the way. After the ceremony I look around and there is still no cake. My venue calls them and they tell them it's already been delivered, when it fact it had not. I have no idea what happened but the communication there seems to be lacking. My wedding cake showed up almost 2 hours AFTER I was married.

I have worked with Patricia in the past after having worked in the bridal district and the bridal shop I worked with had partnered with her by serving samples of her cake to our brides. I have used her services for past bridal showers and a bachelorette party. I never had an issue and was happy and excited to book her for my upcoming wedding in June. I went in and had a tasting and placed my $50 deposit and left with that deposit slip. A few months went by and as I entered into 2022, I wanted to start getting an idea of my cost estimations with all my vendors. I realized I hadn’t left Patricia’s with any sort of estimation sheet, so I emailed her (this had been our only form of communication in any of my interactions with her). This was Feb 11th. No response. I emailed again Feb 17th. No response. I emailed again and called Feb 28th. No response. I finally draft an email on March 22nd after no response still and decided to inform her that I had booked with another baker. I finally get a response on April 16th from someone named Denise. I advised her that I did in fact book with another baker and I would like my deposit refunded due to lack of communication. She advised she would make this happen, but never reached out. I emailed again on April 20th to see what I needed to do to get refunded and Patricia emailed back advising that I could set my appointment at anytime to come in to talk about the cake. I had to advise her of the lack of communication and my decision to go with a new baker. No response after that. I have now called at least a half dozen times. I have spoken with Patricia’s and she has taken my card information to refund me, but I have not been refunded yet. The date that my information was taken was May 6th. I called as of latest Monday, May 23rd and plan to call again tomorrow. I never imagined this being my cake story for my wedding. Especially from a business I always admired.

Patricia is amazing and her cakes are the best. She let's you pick a different flavor for each teir at no cost and each teir comes with your choice of filling. There's no need to save the top teir because she will make a fresh one decorated like your cake on your one year anniversary. Her cakes are always moist and delicious and if you hate fondant but like the look, she can give you that by using Buttercream frosting.

Patricia is probably the nicest human ever. She was so patient with us when we had no clue what we were doing and took her time with us while planning our cake. With COVID, we had to make many changes, but she was so flexible and understanding! Her cheesecake is to DIE FOR and I would highly recommend (even family and friends who don’t like cheesecake loved it at our wedding--it’s THAT good).

Patricia was so easy to work with! I sent her a picture from Pinterest and she designed our cake perfectly. It tasted absolutely delicious and it looked beautiful. The communication was easy and seamless and the entire process was so smooth! Would definitely recommend. :)

There are endless praises we could sing about Patricia's cake she made for our wedding!!! She made our big day truly special and created a masterpiece of a cake that was beyond my wildest dreams! Our cake was a 4 tier white iced cake and every layer was a different flavor. We also had a special request to add sprinkles to every other layer and the cake was absolutely stunning! Patricia, thank you so much for your beautiful creations, your incredible marriage advice and your lovely spirit. Blake and I are beyond grateful for the amazing cake you made for our wedding day! It was the centerpiece of all the decor at our wedding and a cake we will never forget!

Patricia did a wonderful job with our cake and cake pops! The cake looked beautiful and the cake pops were the most delicious things I have ever eaten! We got four different flavors (chocolate, white, spiced, and raspberry). They were a big hit at our wedding!

My cake for my January wedding was absolute perfection thanks to Patricia! She brought my dream cake to life! I still have people telling me how amazing the cake was! Not only easy to work with but took the stress out of everything the day of the wedding! If you are looking for the best cake around you will not go wrong choosing Patricia’s!

Working with Patricia at Patricia's Wedding and Custom Cakes was a delight! My husband and I knew that we wanted a small cake and a dessert table and Patricia did not disappoint! The cake was beautifully decorated and Patricia was able to use the cake stand that has been in my family since the 1930s. Our guests were treated to various desserts (including cake pops in the same flavor as our wedding cake) and they were a hit! Patricia was even able to create a GF option after one of our guests requested it. Thank you, Patricia for being such a sweet part of our wedding day!

All I can say is YUMMMMMM!! Patricia was so nice to work with and everything we envisioned and wanted turned out beautiful! Not only did it look amazing but it tasted even better! The cake balls were so gooooood! We did cake balls, cupcakes, and cake and Patricia had such great advice for it all! The entire process was smooth and at the end of the night there was barley any left! Can't get better sweets!

Simply the best hands down!! I love Patricia she is kind and the flavors are amazing! Each layer was different our 4 layer cake was gone in 30 minutes. She has been around for so long and theres no secret why. I use her for all occasions!

Patricia’s Cakes is hands down the BEST cake I have ever eaten. My husband and I couldn’t pick a favorite flavor!! She puts so much effort into every cake she does and takes the time to really listen to her couples. She even gave us some marriage advice when we had our consultation! One really special thing she does is include an anniversary cake for free for the couples first anniversary! She is so friendly and professional and an expert at what she does.

We could not have loved our cake more. It was a beautiful work of art. Patricia's cakes was the only place I talked to that said they were able to paint on the designs I wanted and to do so on buttercream. It turned out more beautiful than I imagined. It was also delicious. She gives the option to get a fresh small cake made for your one year anniversary instead of saving the top layer which is amazing. I am so happy to have worked with Patricia and I can't wait to eat more cake from here in the future.

Absolutely loved our wedding cake! Patricia had no problem recreating a cake I had found on Pinterest (the whole cake was navy blue and every bakery I had talked to before gave me push back on it, told me I should have a white cake for MY wedding) She was fabulous to work with and not to mention sooooo delicious! You have to try the raspberry marble and chocolate!

I loved my wedding cake!!! The flavor and freshness was great. When we met with Patricia she brought out all different cakes and filling and we got to try them all! I was worried because I had no idea what my cake would look like in person but I was more than pleased! My cake was beautiful!!! Best benefit Is that we got to cut the entire cake that night (and it was gone). She gives you a new top layer flavor of your choice on your 1 year anniversary!

I’m really sad to be writing this review, but our calls seem to be getting overlooked. Patricia is a long time friend of my family. Her and her husband were both close to my grandparents when they were alive, and my mom grew up thinking of her as an aunt. She made the cake for my older brother’s wedding, and it was delicious. Arrived late, but delicious. My wedding this past September we decided we wanted her to do our cake and cupcakes (small two tier cake and 105 cupcakes). Two days before the wedding I received a phone call that my mom had apparently requested another tier be added to our cake and that we still owed $175. I talked to my mom and she hadn’t reached out to Patricia since our initial consultation in March of 2018. I summed it up to a clerical error and fixed the problem with one of the ladies that works in shop. On the day of my wedding, our cake and cupcakes arrived two hours later than they were supposed to, and barely got there in time for the reception. It was a good drive away, so even then, I brushed it off, just thankful that they had gotten there at all. Once my husband and I got back from our honeymoon, I received a message from one of my relatives that they bit into a cupcake only to find bits of plastic in it. That I can’t just brush off, since there were children at the reception, and had a young child suffocated or choked because of a piece of plastic I would have never been able to forgive myself. I had no idea how many other people had plastic in their cupcakes, but this shouldn’t be an issue to begin with. Our cake design wasn’t what we had imagined or talked with Patricia about, and ended up looking very plain. The over all flavor was delicious, but make sure that you cross all your T’s and dot all your I’s, and allow for plenty of time for delivery.

Our wedding was super "sweet" thanks to Patricia! From the minute we stepped foot in the shop, we were surrounded by beautiful creations and the most amazing smells. We fell in love with Patricia during our consultation - she is so sweet, so passionate about being a part of couples' special days, and incredibly attentive to every detail. She sketched up our cake perfectly, and the final product was even more amazing. The combination of flavors, the colors, the incredible detail (we wanted our cake to look like it was draped in lace) - our cake was truly an incredible highlight of our reception, and of course, it was absolutely delicious! We have to pace ourselves and make sure we save some for our 1 year anniversary! Thank you to Patricia and her friendly, amazing staff for making our wedding day complete.

Patricia was wonderful to work with! When we sat down to talk about the cake I brought a few pictures and I had a vision in my head. She listened, asked questions and sketched out a design. When the cake was delivered on the wedding day, it was even more beautiful than I had imagined! Absolutely perfect! Not only was it gorgeous, but it was delicious! When we couldn't find a cake topper we loved she gave us more resources and helped find the perfect one! I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for a cake for a wedding or other special occasion.

We worked directly with Patricia for our wedding cake and she was so pleasant and accommodating from our first meeting to the pick up of the cake. Not to mention, the cake is absolutely delicious!! We highly recommend the raspberry cake with cream cheese frosting - the best cake we've ever had! Highly recommend!

Patricia did an amazing job bringing my dream cake to life! I had a very specific vision and she nailed it! Her cakes are by far the best we've tasted and we received so many compliments from our guests. We can't wait to get an anniversary cake every year! Highly recommend!!

The cake was beautiful and tasted great! We had a small mixup on the delivery time, but the cake still arrived before the wedding and everyone loved it!

Patricia was such a joy to work with. I am gluten free and Patricia was very accommodating to my allergy needs. My cake turned out beautifully! Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted amazing. You can't get better than a Patricia's cake!

Very disappointing experience! Two days before the wedding Patricia called my daughter, the bride to say she had lost the cake order and this call only happened because my wedding coordinator had called the day before that to discuss the cake delivery time. I truly believe without the reminder from the wedding coordinator phone call --we would have had no cake at our wedding. Patricia told my daughter that she better find the copy of the order form which had been given to her when we ordered the cake. My daughter left work early to go home and search frantically for this form (which she could not find). When Patricia finally found the order form she called--not to apologize but to get her full payment for the cake $950 which was about $150 more than what I thought I was going to pay. She claimed she was giving me a $99 reduction. She also had told us she would come to the venue and place the flowers on the cake but changed her story and insisted that my florist needed to deliver flowers to her shop to put on the cake the day before the wedding. Who wants that?? The cake was delicious however, the fillings were skimpy and there was not an equal amount of both cake flavors. We had ordered a gold cake stand that we chose in the shop--the stand delivered was cheap and smelled of gold spray paint-not the pretty filigree stand we chose in the shop. Overall a bad experience for the very expensive price.

We found Patricia's Weddings & Custom Cakes through our Venue, Savannah Center. We could not have been more thrilled in what they could do for us! We had cupcakes instead of cake, and everything was delicious! She was also able to customize so many different things for us even doing baseball stitching on the cupcakes to go with our baseball themed wedding. She even allowed us to use a baseball cupcake stand that she once used at the Reds ballpark! Would highly recommend!

THE CAKE IS AMAZING. Patricia is sweet as pie (pun intended). She called me to make sure I was still bringing my cake topper (I completely forgot). She is truly talented at her craft. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Again another super AWESOME vendor. From day one Patricia was great. She walked through what we wanted and even gave great suggestions. The cake OMG that cake was SOOOOOOO GOOD! I mean smack yo mama good! The communication was awesome and I cant wait to book her for other events. Client for life!

We attended four bridal shows, at each show we sampled (more than once) Patricia's cakes. We knew this was the place for us! We did a cake with cupcakes and they turned out amazing!! Highly recommend the lemon (huge crowd pleaser), the cheesecake, the raspberry cream, basically all Of them! :) The cake went quick, we had two slices left to take home that night.... looking forward to our first anniversary cake next year!

Patricia's team provided a great experience start to finish. There were so many delicious options! The process of ordering the cake was seamless and Patricia's interest in making sure our cake was exactly what we wanted was appreciated. The cake was beautiful and delicious! Patricia and her team did an incredible job with our wedding cake! Every detail we had discussed during our planning session was PERFECT and our cake tasted AMAZING! In fact, my husband and I loved her cake samples so much, we had custom cupcakes made for my bridal shower! Can't wait to come back in a year for our anniversary cake tier! Patricia's was UNBELIEVABLE, and once we tried her cake, we knew she was the one and only vendor for our cake! Not only were the flavors incredible (including the icing and FILLINGS!), but Patricia customized our cake just for us, based on several photos. It was gorgeous, and I would highly recommend Patricia's for any and all of your cake needs!

My husband and I just got married a few weeks ago (7/21/17) and we are still having people ask us where we got the cake from. It was delicious and our guests loved it. Our left overs were quickly snatched up by family and friends.

Patricia's did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. We recently used them to do our cake and they were such a pleasure, and easy to work with. We had a specific design in mind and the team was able to pull off what I was looking for, they delivered the cake, and I never had to worry about anything. Besides that the cake is delicious! And we cannot wait to get our free anniversary top layer next year. Something to consider is the free top layer is a value add, as you can serve it to your guests as opposed to having to buy more cake so you can save the top layer. Patricia is a fantastic woman to work with and we really enjoyed meeting and working with her. Highly recommend!

Patricia's wedding cake was AMAZING! We had one layer of chocolate with chocolate mousse, one with caramel with caramel filling, and a raspberry swirl with raspberry filling. All were delicious and many guests went back for seconds. She also offers to bake another top layer of the cake for the couple's year anniversary so it will be fresh, which I thought was a very nice touch. We had a bit left over, but it was enjoyed by our Open House guests the next day.

Patricia and her team did a fantastic job on our cake! The cake was delicious and looked exactly how we envisioned it. They were so flexible with us too- we left the next morning for our honeymoon and since most of our guests were from out of town, we didn't have a chance to get the cake pan & accessories back in time. I notified Patricia of when we would be back and was able to grab the cake pan from Ivy Hills Country Club & return everything with no extra charge. I would highly recommend Patricia's & I can't wait to use her for upcoming events in the future!

Patricia was an absolute pleasure to work with! She is so sweet and wants to make sure your cake and is perfect! I was very happy with our cake. It turned out perfect and tasted amazing! The thing that made Patricia's cakes stand out was that they tasted great! A lot of wedding cakes taste good but are plain, not Patricia's. She also has a variety of flavors and you can choose a different one for each layer. I am so glad we bought our wedding cake here.

Absolutely AMAZING! Patricia's makes the greatest tasting wedding cakes I've ever experience. We had an absolute blast at our tasting and she made sure we tasted every possible combination to make sure our cake was exactly what we wanted. When it came down to the design she took the time to make sure she had the design perfect and also came in under our budget (we told her our budget earlier and were shocked when she didn't just charge us that price). I would recommend going through her for any occasion and I know we will definitely be back in the future!

Did not choose Patricia's. Put in three stars because the site is forcing me to assign a rating. I sent Patricia's a message through this site, received a message back that cake tastings did not require an appointment. We visited this past Saturday, and while there were cake samples, and books with photos of past cakes, and a pricing sheet, they would not sit down to talk with us without a $50 deposit to "finalize" our cake design. Patricia did stop by and introduce herself, and said that we could talk to her assistants if we had any questions. Bottom line, do not expect any personal service unless you are ready to give them $50. Just don't want others to go to Patricia's expecting more than a few cake samples, some photos and a price sheet.

My cake was delicious and so beautiful from Patricia's! It was great working with Patricia herself. She even made cookies for my wedding shower. She has the most unique and delicious flavors and wow the cake looked stuning as well. She was able to incorporate my wedding theme and colors perfectly.

I was so impressed with my cake for my early October wedding. The flowers were placed perfectly on top. Everyone at the wedding complimented our cake’s taste and presentation. I really liked that when we made our first cut in to the cake our knife cut right through the special cake ribbon so it was not messy. My favorite layer was the caramel cake with caramel liqueur cream filling. We also had vanilla cake with strawberry cream and a chocolate layer with Irish cream filling. With cakes over a certain price you have the option of choosing a discount or a recreation of your top cake layer for your first year anniversary. I chose to have my top layer in a year and I can’t wait, I almost asked if I could have the cake for my first week anniversary lol I love Patricia’s cakes so much! I would highly recommend this cake shop.

Not worth it. One of the things about using Patricia's is that you have to return the cakse plate and other items within 3 days or you get charged $100. Like most couples, we were too busy getting married and leaving for our honeymoon to get into it. We asked the country club and one of our friends who was at the wedding to keep track of it. By the end of the night, no one could find the items. We spent half of one of our honeymoon days sending messages back and forth and sending friends to the venue trying to find it. Then Patricia's called us twice to get the things back and charged us the $100. The cake plate debacle was the worst part of our wedding. If you're going to use Patricia's, after the cake is cut, go collect whatever items they need back, drive them back yourself. Postpone your honeymoon to get this done. Too much trouble? Right! Use a different baker. NOT recommended.

Exactly what we wanted! She took the words I used to 'try' to explain the picture I had in my head, and like magic, the cake in my mind was there on the table at the reception. The quality of the cake, the selection of flavors and combinations of flavors, and the friendliness and helpfulness of Patricia and her staff, made our decision an easy one. Her cakes speak for themselves and we are delighted and amazed with results. Our groom's cake was absolutely wonderful as well! It perfectly captured my husband's personality and was the central piece of our rehearsal dinner. Thank you!
