A WEDDING HOST pulls all these Wedding Reception elements together, allowing the couple to sit back and enjoy themselves and the company of their family and friends. I am Patrick Byrd, and this is what I do! I sit with each couple many weeks ahead of time to help design the event the way they want. No overplayed predictable music. No loud obnoxious mic personality. Just good party hosting that brings everyone together to celebrate! I include dance floor lights and a 2nd small sound system & mics for the ceremony site. I had my outdoor dream wedding on my grandpa's property on March 25th, 2023. We had the big white tent with all the decorations like I always pictured. My fiance' and I both agreed that we were very particular about who would be keeping us all entertained and organized for the evening since we didn't have a wedding coordinator. We searched all over wedding wire and finally found Patrick Byrd. Our prayers were answered! He had years of experience, a beautiful, clean, professional set up that didn't look cheap like some others I had come across. We were also happy that he had an assistant who was an extension of him. If we needed anything, his assistant Roland was there to help so we wouldn't have to interrupt Patrick while he was working. After a face to face meeting with Patrick, we knew in minutes we were going to hire him! He really "got us" and we gave him a deposit on the spot! The day of the event Patrick and Roland were like a well oiled machine. They brought in the equipment and everything looked just like the pictures he showed us after setup! As the evening progressed we truly saw the professionalism and smooth transitions from one thing to the next! We didn't have a thing to worry about! Patrick was on the job! I have to make a special shout out on here about Patrick's assistant Roland. I have been to many weddings in my life and I have to say this young man was awesome! During the ceremony he was the "point man" for each entrance of the wedding party. He and Patrick were in sync for each one, especially mine! I had a specific part of the song I wanted to enter at, and Roland's ears were listening for me since I couldn't hear it where I was standing. My entrance was perfectly timed because of him. Also, since we had to transition the tent inside from Ceremony to Reception there was some work to do after the ceremony was over. The vendor we got the tables and chairs from were hardworking and were a little shorthanded due to illness. Roland had no problem rolling up his sleeves and moving chairs and helping haul in table after table so guests wouldn't try to help!!! Of course I found this out later on from one of my family members. I was so impressed! Thank you Roland! Roland also was a lot of fun through out the reception! He jumped in and helped lead line dances, he jumped on the equipment and helped with music during intros before the reception started. Grandpa was so happy that everything went so well on my special day, he put an extra tip in the DJ envelope for Roland. Thank you Patrick and Roland for making my wedding day everything I hoped for AND MORE!!!! I can not say enough about you both. If anyone is looking for a great DJ who can read the room and an assistant who is always on point these are your guys. We consider you family now! There's no question about it, book him, do it now! My husband and I were so concerned about us picking the right songs and we shouldn't have. We told Patrick what we wanted and how we wanted the night to go. We had a Roaring 20's theme and wanted that to be played during social hour, instrumental only at dinner, and then party music. During our father/daughter & mother/son dance we had the "record scratch" and switched songs and did a conga line and EVERYBODY joined it (which I wasn't expecting), during the cake cutting we switched songs from How Sweet it is to be love by you to EAT IT by Weird Al as we fed each other and EVERYONE loved it. Every time I told myself that my feet were killing me and I needed to sit after this song, he went and played another great song that I couldn't not dance to. Songs that I didn't think our families would dance to, he got them to do it! Him and his assistant both joined us in dancing at some points which helped keep the hype up. He was exceptional! He made the night feel very memorable for us and our guests. My husband and I don't know how it could have gone any better (we had a lot of chaos with other things that day but he made it magical).

Patrick was awesome! We did everything long distance, we live in Texas and wedding in Virignia plus we had the added challenge of COVID-19 pandemic to deal with. We had to reschedule our wedding twice and through it all Patrick never once waivered on helping us. He managed the music, schedule and my nerves with warmth you only get from someone who truly enjoys what they do!

Patrick was amazing! His wife was our officiant and we had him from the very beginning to the very end. He did everything we asked including the specific style we had playing before the wedding and the last two songs of the night. Not sure what you want? He has so many songs and variations to choose from and will help you pick. We picked Amazing Grace to be played during part of the ceremony, but apparently it gets used a lot during funerals. He sent me like 5 other options, but still would have played Amazing Grace if we wanted. We had a problem that pulled the my husband and I away for a few minutes, so he actually got on the dance floor and danced with the guests! I would highly recommend Patrick to anybody, especially if your like me and don't really know music. If you do have Patrick as your Dj, I would recommend you have his wife Launa as your officiant since the two of them work so well together.

Overall, he was fantastic! Played all the right music and kept the whole crowd dancing the whole night! He was a great MC and kept the room entertained and followed our timeline and wishes perfectly! Kept us well informed of everything that went on throughout our process and let us know of any changes at anytime. Great personality and a wonderful gentleman to work with. He made our night unforgettable and I'm so grateful we chose him! Thanks Patrick!

Patrick was an absolute hit at our wedding! We met for the first time over Skype and knew right away that his personality would be a good fit for our wedding. One of the things that really separated Patrick from the rest was his “I’m not just a DJ -- I'm also a host” attitude and assurance that he would keep our day on schedule and running smoothly. He worked with us months in advance to develop a good idea of our music preferences and helped us plan the music for our pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I didn’t realize how much music we’d have to pick, but Patrick and his organized questionnaire package really helped us from getting overwhelmed. For our entire wedding day, our custom music choices really reflected who we are as a couple, which we couldn't have done without Patrick. For our ceremony, he worked with our officiant (which happened to be his wonderful wife) to ensure that she was heard loud and clear. He kept us on schedule all day and kept the party going until they kicked us out. He played a fantastic mix of oldies, dance, fun current music, and special requests. The day seemed to fly by, but some of my favorite memories are those when a majority of our wedding guests, young and old, were out on the dance floor having a great time. Thank you, Patrick!

Patrick Byrd is absolutely amazing! He is the perfect DJ - he worked with my husband and I to develop a song list that fit our preferences, including all the songs that we wanted and having an array of suggestions for all those moments throughout the night! He helped us make our wedding party entrance unforgettable - people cannot stop talking about our performance! He is so incredibly friendly and personable and makes you feel completely comfortable knowing that he will make the night run smoothly! Our wedding started 30 minutes late, but he kept the events going without feeling too rushed. All of our guests enjoyed the selection of music - my friends AND grandmothers could not get off the dance floor :) Him and his wife Launa, our officiant, are the perfect duo to make your wedding day all you could hope for!

Thank God for Patrick. We were coming down to 3 months before the wedding with no DJ. We found Patrick through his wife, Rev. Launa who officated for us. He was more than well prepared. He meet with us, learned our style and together we easily made a timeline for the reception. He also provided ceremony music. He had two stations so he didnt have to break down for the ceremony and then waste time setting up for the reception. He worked as our MC and DJ. He got everyone on the dance floor. He also provided special, fun surprises for the bride and groom and guest as well. Lighting was included as well. With Patrick Byrd, you really can make the reception uniquely yours. He incorparted all of our suggestions perfectly. Because of him, our guest will never forget our wedding. He is well worth ever penny.
