I strongly advise against booking this catering company. My (now) spouse and I had a terrible experience marked by unauthorized charges, communication failures, an inability to mee...
t basic contractual requirements, and ultimately several red flags:
1. We contracted PC Events to provide catering at our wedding in November of 2025. We paid our deposit on July 24, 2024. On August 5, 2024, an additional charge that was roughly half of that deposit was charged to my credit card without notice or authorization, even though our next payment was not due until January 1, 2025. We were told the secretary had been out of office with health issues and “was not aware we had paid.” The amount still did not align with that excuse. When we requested a refund, we were offered a discount instead if we allowed them to keep the funds. We accepted this in good faith and requested a revised contract. Getting the revised contract was chaos should have been our second red flag to go elsewhere. It was sent to us on August 27, 2024 and returned on September 9, 2024 yet on September 25, 2024 we were told it had not been received. The poor communication continued throughout our entire experience.
2. Scheduling a tasting was repeatedly delayed. In January 2025, we were told to follow up in April. In April, we were told to try again in May. In May, we were directed to no longer use the phone number we had been texting Kevin previously, and instead contact an email address under a "Event Thyme" name. This added confusion as we had contracted with PC Events, not Event Thyme. The phone number we had is the same one on their website. We were never given a tasting. It is clear they do not care about anything but being paid.
3. The caterer failed to complete required venue paperwork, ie: submitting their insurance and catering license, and complete a mandatory site visit within the specified 3-month window before our event - both of these items laid out in the venue agreement they signed on June 19, 2025. The deadline passed without completion. Fast forward to Sept. 25, 2025, the caterer was informed that they were banned from doing any events at our venue, meaning they were unable to fulfill our contractual agreement. Kevin then sent the venue a nasty email. If you are keeping count, that is 2 contracts for 1 event that PC Events breached the terms of. 44 days before our wedding, we were forced to find a new caterer for 200+ guests.
Despite providing no goods or services, the company retained 100% of the over $9,000 we paid them. Our requests for reimbursement have gone unanswered. We were able to get over half back by credit card charge back, however they still have not returned the other ~40%, over $3,500. Clearly, if it were solely up to Kevin and his staff, they would have kept every unearned dollar, since they are unwilling to respond to our refund requests.
This was a stressful experience, complete with unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and ongoing mismanagement. Wedding planning should be made easier by the vendors, but instead, PC Events made planning infinitely more difficult. Ultimately, my (now) wife and I signed the contract with them to provide catering services on an agreed upon date, and they did not uphold their end. Issues that arose were met with constant excuses. I would not trust this company with anything, look elsewhere. Any reputable company would make things right; this group is more interested in keeping unearned money.
We unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with PC Events as our wedding caterer. While the food itself was delicious, that was the only positive aspect of our experience...
. For both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day, the catering team arrived late despite clear communication in writing about the scheduled start times. This created unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful and seamless occasion.
The company’s communication throughout the process was extremely poor. Our main contact, Kevin Porter, was consistently unresponsive to emails and text messages, and when we finally spoke by phone, he was dismissive and unprofessional. We were told from the beginning that a tasting would be included, yet when we attempted to schedule it, we were told that it wasn’t necessary and were spoken to in a condescending manner.
Additionally, our final invoice was nearly double our original estimate and was sent less than three weeks before our wedding, with payment demanded before our final walkthrough. This unexpected increase was both unreasonable and stressful so close to our event. Even more concerning, PC Events withdrew funds from our bank account without authorization. When questioned, Kevin promised a refund within 10 business days; however, after that time passed, he admitted the refund had not been processed and required another 10 business days to resolve.
While the quality of the food was good, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and serious billing issues made this the most stressful vendor we worked with. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend PC Events for wedding catering.
If I could rate this company 0 stars, I would. The caterers (especially Donna) were rude and unhelpful. She made comments about the venue, stating “why would anyone ever get marrie...
d here?”. They dropped a stack of plates on me, I was the matron of honor, and they ruined my dress. The ceramic plates broke, and the bride cut her foot on a piece of the broken plate. The server did not apologize. Additionally, a server accused another guest of stealing the caterers phone charger which did not occur. The caterers did not set the tables up in a way that made sense for a wedding reception, there was no room for a dance floor when the guests sat down. I, the matron of honor, had to ask each table to move their table to clear space for a dance floor. The caterers did not initially set up a cake table, and had to be instructed to do so. It was as if they had no experience catering and setting up a wedding. The bride and groom were quoted for the event, but the final bill ended up being 3x the amount with hidden fees and made up charges. When they went to pay, the company refused to take credit cards, only wanted cash, wire transfer or Zelle. We were worried the company was a complete scam, and there would be no food for the reception. The caterers refused to haul trash away from the event, citing yet another made up excuse. From issues with accepting payment, holding their hand through set up, and feeling as though the company was a scam, I would never recommend this company.
My mom and I booked with this company to handle the bar for a wedding on the 21st of June, 2025. The day-of workers were nice enough, but the actual experience of working with this...
company leading up to the big day was extremely stressful, confusing, and annoying, and it left my family feeling insulted and swindled.
Firstly, the lack of professionalism was deeply concerning. The invoice my mother received was poorly worded, full of grammatical errors, and for months had the wedding date marked as 10 years prior to the actual day. The emails we received from the owner of this company read like vindictive and childish tantrums, and phone calls with him went about the same. After I posted this same review on Google a few days after the wedding, the emails only got worse. My wife received an outright threatening email that mentioned some personal info about her hometown and her job.
Secondly, the estimated invoice we received (and its subsequent updates) was simply horrible. Despite knowing important details about the event, its location, etc., it felt like this company forgot about those pieces of information during their estimate because the final invoice to us was miles above what we were expecting. It was also LATE compared to the deadline stipulated in our written agreement. We felt manipulated, and we had a terribly difficult time scraping together the funds that were suddenly required the VERY SAME DAY the final invoice was sent.
Finally, I won't speak too much about my wife's experience with this company, but I'll say this: my wife is an incredibly even-keeled person, so imagine my surprise when I picked up the phone to hear her sobbing about her own experience with this company. I felt horrible for her, and knowing that I couldn't do much about it just tore me apart. Their problems she described to me were the same as mine but amplified to an even higher extreme.
To the owner of this company: if you're reading this, I want to write it plainly: this is not libel, as nothing I've written here is false. To those who book with this company, I hope your experience is better than mine.
I was the mother of the groom for a reception this past month. I am writing this review solely in the hope that no other bride or family has to deal with what we did. To say that...
there was a cloud over the reception and our memories of the entire experience would be a gross understatement. When any of us thinks of this company-- our stomachs are in knots and we shake. The reasons are below.
1. The billing for this company is shady at best. Rest assured you will pay MUCH MORE than any invoice or estimate you have received leading up to the event. I hired the bar (sans alcohol, about $3000) My final bill was almost double the original final payment amount, was sent 9 days prior to the event (despite every invoice stating it would be sent 3 weeks prior AND my calling twice asking for it when I did not receive it at the 3 week mark), included a large credit card charge form 8 months prior--never communicated to me at the beginning--and once it was sent, I was given 2.5 hours to pay.
2. Perhaps this should be first: Communication with this owner is the worst I have dealt with in my entire life. Not only is the owner unprofessional, in his emails he is vindictive and petty ("well I was going to throw x in but since you have your son emailing me I'm not.."), demeaning, belittling and gaslighting. He chooses which emails to answer versus not. Any question or concern that you have will be met with those above. What should have been one of the most joyous events of my life--my son getting married-- quickly became "all about Kevin"; for myself, my son, and the bride and her family. And none of those feelings were positive. I am a 50 ya ear old professional, however a clueless, hysterical female is how I was made to feel: If you want a sample of how any email or conversation will go when you bring up a concern; read any of their responses to negative reviews.
3. We had hoped that after reading many past positive reviews, the saving grace would be wonderful food; However, the Italian buffet was cold. All of it. Anyone in a wedding knows you wait basically all day to relax and eat. And when we did--it was cold.
4. The bar staff the worked the event were professional, hard-working and kind. That is the only positive I can say. They and they alone deserve 5 stars. I do hope they are treated well at work, and that the owner does not speak to them as he does to customers--including the bride, groom, mother and father of the bride (whose Father's Day was ruined due to having to communicate with the owner). Each and every one of us has been in tears dealing with this caterer.
All other vendors for the event were phenomenal; any issue or hiccup was handled with professionalism and kindness.
My hope with this review is not to "slam" the caterer, but to truly save a bride, groom and their family from an experience similar to ours.
The one star is for the servers day of because they were super kind and professional, but the entire process was not worth it. Our wedding was June 21st, 2025. I had booked with PC...
Events in April of 2024 where I received an estimated invoice of $6,720. My contract listed three dates between then and the wedding in which I would give payments towards the final amount with the final payment being due three weeks before the event. During that time, I was charged just shy of $2,000 on two separate occasions outside of my contracted dates. When I brought this up to Kevin, I would be left on read for weeks only to be told that he doesn't do the billing. Lastly, six days before the wedding, I was sent my final invoice.... $14,000 and some change. You imagine my absolute shock when I found out we had to pull together an extra eight thousand dollars six days before I was supposed to get married. After a long phone conversation, we were able to get it down to "just" an extra five thousand dollars. None of these extra fees or hours were made clear to me when we booked over a year ago. I was lucky I had my parents to help, otherwise we would have been left with zero food less than a week before the wedding. The horrible stress and headache was absolutely not worth it in the end, and I do not recommend booking with them for an event, especially not for a wedding. They came highly recommended on The Knot, and I regret not having looked at more reviews elsewhere. I am grateful for the flexibility and kindness of the staff day of.
Terrible. All of the food was cool to room temperature. The pasta was cool, stuck together, and the alfredo sauce was cold and soupy. Stuffed mushrooms looked as if they'd been sit...
ting out all day as did most of the food. Also, one of the appetizers were tater tots which were just a tray full of tiny broken pieces of microwaved ones you had to have a fork to eat. In addition, the bride and groom's parents were told they owed more money 6 days before the wedding after they had paid everything in full. Kevin actually told the grooms mom(who paid for the bartenders) I was going to throw in the lemon, lime juice and grenadine, but since you had your son call me, l'm not. Sheesh. Total bully with no customer service skills. Mind you, the groom bought all the alcohol too.
The day of review is definitely 4 stars.
Everything leading up to our wedding day was 1-2 stars.

The administrative staff and their communication was the most frustrating experience and not worth hiring this vendor, at all. They were the most stressful vendor we experienced and poor communication made everything worse. Keep all emails because you will need to send them back as proof when they inevitably argue with you. And absolutely keep records of any payments and the package you signed up for because they don't really do that either. They are disorganized and don't really seem to communicate with one another either. Be prepared to call them several times and send many emails to get any response.
I don't recommend this vendor unless you enjoy being unnecessarily frustrated and stressed out during what is already a stressful time.

ut overall it was a good experience. Their team was AMAZING the day of. The crew made sure me and my husband had enough to eat and got to taste all the foods, made us a plate at dinner, and set aside a plate for us from the cocktail hour while we were out taking pictures! Their team did great with the setup and tear down. We were very pleased.
We were able to pick up the linens a day before and return them after the wedding ourselves which saved us a lot of time and stress the day of the wedding. The food was great, we were recommended the meatballs which was a wonderful suggestion. We got to taste test prior to picking out the items which helped us with our choices. We did think we were going to sit down with a rep and go over our options/details at the taste test but instead, they just had the food in to-go containers and we got to try them at home and report back - not a big deal. The only downside was the unexpected food inflation cost that was added to the invoice the week before the wedding which was $7 more per person.
We would recommend PC Events as a vendor.

I was able to enjoy my night and not worry about a thing. We had our reception at a family members' home. They were set up before we arrived from the ceremony and everything was ready. To start, PC Events catered my daughter’s graduation party with over 100 guests.
First, I called them and set an appt. to meet and see what they had to offer. I went for a tast...
ing that went exceptionally well. Greeted me by name right at the door for my appt. They went over all kinds of fun stuff I could do let alone what they have to offer for food choices. This was a graduation party and not a wedding but felt as they gave me attention as if it was a wedding with more guests and more food needed. I picked out some great choices that tasted yummy and would be liked by everyone at the party
Second, as time came closer to my party they followed up with me and asked if anything has changed and just checked in with me.
Time came for my party and they were there on time, actually a bit early, which I liked. They set up tables in my back yard, chairs, place settings, grills, serving stations, and all that is expected for a catered event. People started showing up, party began, and all while I didn’t and guests didn’t realize they were there. They were very professional, friendly, and even when someone asked for a special “something” or a change for their dish they accommodated with pleasure. Food was amazing, fresh, delicious, hot for the things that needed to be hot, and cold for the things that needed to be cold. i thought we might have had leftovers but no we did not as people went back for seconds of what was leftover and gobbled it up. Everyone at the party was very pleased and a few asked for the caterer I used as they had some events coming up and wanted to use PC Catering for them.
My overall experience with PC Catering, Kevin, the owner, and his staff was far more above my expectations. If you are looking or trying to find someone that actually cares individually, I felt it and would recommend this company!

ted that they hadn’t gave us the final account. We had a less than eight hours which was in our contract that they were and we had less amount of people that was needed for food. We were in total agreement that even though we had less people than what’s the lowest number is we would still take that food so people could have leftovers. Little confused on how they continue to send me a “updated” invoice for a few more thousand dollars. The argument stating that because I have a short time that it would take them more time to get out of the venue by the time I needed them to. When they had already taken out $4000 without even asking. They demanded that I pay them the updated invoice before they would give me back the $4000. I also made sure that we were completely paid in full before the date that all the money was due and I reached out each time to make the payment. Getting a taste test was very difficult and almost seemed like I was bothering them by doing this. He gave me maybe $200 off at the end and charged me a huge credit card fee about $400 worth. Management is completely awful and completely stressed me out before my wedding was rude no communication and I do not recommend them. This company only got a star from me because the people who showed up and work that day were very kind to me if it weren’t for them I would have not given them even a s

rs. they let us pick up the linens ahead of time to set up. the company themselves was a bit disorganized, very hard to get into contact with ahead of time. it took months to get a tasting organized, they typed our names wrong in their computer so they had a hard time finding us multiple times, and they mischarged our card multiple times. they also didn't bring all of the toppings for the tator tot bar that we were promised. overall they did great, but they were probably the most stressful part of planning.
***UPDATE*** Well, Kevin’s response only reinforces my review regarding their unprofessionalism. After I posted the original review, Kevin’s wife got ahold of my personal email and...
sent me a nasty email. I asked her to not contact me again so Kevin has resorted to making things up. Kevin’s accusations (cursing, demanding free things, etc) are all false and can be backed up by the texts and emails my wedding planner and I have saved. I caution anyone from using PC Events. I’ve also heard from other catering professionals with firsthand knowledge of Kevin that this unprofessional behavior is unfortunately the norm for him.
I wish I could give PC Catering a better review but the unprofessional behavior of Kevin and Nancy for months and even a week before my wedding caused so much undue stress that one star is the most I can give.
The actual service, food, and attentive staff at my wedding were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about the staff working the event. But with all the poor and rude communication with Nancy and Kevin leading up to my wedding I had no idea if PC Catering would even show up and how they’d treat me and my guests.
A week before the wedding Kevin told me and my wedding planner that I wouldn’t have enough food for my guests and then threatened to not work the event leaving me scrambling to find other options. Later he recanted and said he never threatened to quit. It was a horrible and stressful experience for me and my fiancé with only days until our wedding.
They charged my credit card over $1200 without my authorization after I sent several emails to Nancy explicitly saying I would write a check. They didn’t refund the money for over a week and lied and sent rude emails/texts when I asked why the money hadn’t been refunded.
Overall, the communication and professionalism were so poor that I can’t recommend PC Catering.
We absolutely loved working with PC events for our wedding and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, dependable, and professional caterer!! We received so much f...
eedback from our guests raving about how delicious our food was at our event and we agree! Toni, Cameron, and Donna assisted with our reception and made our event flow so wonderfully! They went above and beyond to make our night so relaxing, fun, and stress free. Kevin made our planning process so smooth and was responsive and thoughtful, respectfully listening to and creating the vision we had for our event. We are so grateful for all that he and his team did to make our event unforgettable!
I will start by saying the food and quality you get from PC is great but to get to that point was very frustrating. We signed a contract with this vendor in February of 2021 and di...
d not get any communication from them unless we reached out first. In October I had to reach out and ask for a tasting so we could finalize our menu and it felt like burden for them to schedule. We were even questioned on not having done one already. I understand with covid things are different but we were driving to them to do a takeout tasting and spending a lot of money to big with so I wanted to make sure we got what we paid for. In our contract it was stated we were to finalize the menu three weeks in advance but heard nothing. I finally reached out less than three weeks prior to our wedding and it took days to get a response. We reduced our final headcount by 30 people and somehow our final bill increased by over $1k so make sure you understand your contract when you sign it. We had also asked to add on late night food a few times but it was overlooked so many times we just dropped it. Overall, I felt very stressed working with this company leading all the way up until the wedding day which is not something a couple would prefer. The catering staff the day of was great and but I cannot fully recommend this vendor after our experience.
Awesome service and Delicious food! Couldn't have asked for anything better. Staff was simply amazing!! Highly recommend PC Events.
