The venue is beautiful and just what my daughter wanted. However the communication and management was poorly lacking! There were multiple mishaps due to changes in staff, including the sales person, head chef and pastry chef, weeks before the event. Dinner was late, served after 8, my daughter’s father in law’s steak was raw. It was sent back and once delivered, his plate was cleared when he went to the restroom! Resulting in no dinner for him. No coffee service, no steak knives. We found out the next day, the Groom’s extra suit went missing, valued at $900! I believe this happened due to overbooking with another wedding party! No one has responded to requests to find it! Emails to those supposedly in charge with questions, throughout the previous weeks went unanswered! An email was sent to my daughter, on her wedding day, asking for payment that had been previously paid! Thankfully, she didn’t see it until the next day! No one from Natirar has offered even an apology for the stress or lack of responsibility! Food was good, but not exceptional! I would not recommend this venue! The DJ, electric violist, photographer saved the day!
I had my wedding at 90 acres, the restaurant across from the mansion (part of the same venue). The site is beautiful but the Natirar team could not be more disorganized. The months leading up to the event were pure chaos. They fired the event sales planner three weeks before my wedding (we were not notified by the venue until a week after). Her communication was terrible- tons of over promising and under delivering. For example, we were promised the upstairs room to change and get ready at the restaurant - they double booked it for the groom at the mansion. At one point a family member from the grooms wedding was in the room with us.. I had no idea who she was and I had to ask her to leave so I could change into my dress. I rushed to get dressed and the venue lost some of our stuff in the process. My mother in laws Louis Vuitton bag was left on the floor in front of the downstairs bathrooms. The grooms entire suit went missing. The dinner came out at 8:10pm when we were scheduled to have the room until 8:30. Cake was rushed, no coffee service, no steak knives for the steaks served. My father in laws steak was undercooked. It went back to the kitchen to be cooked further and he took one bite before going to the restroom. The staff was in such a rush to clean the tables that they removed his steak before he could finish it. We actually don’t think the vendors got their meals. The new sales director Kelly emailed me the day of the wedding at 11:30am (while I was in hair and makeup) to get me to pay my bill that was already paid. They don’t tell you that if it rains you have to use their vendor only for tents (these people don’t even work with Natirar that often) and their fee is $10,000. Three days beforehand the sales coordinator Melissa was telling us we needed a permit for the tent, but no one notified us before.
Sarah was only there for two weeks and was the most competent person there. She stands out as different from the rest. The management of this venue is terrible. Alexandra the sommelier was incredibly responsive and super helpful. Everytime we emailed or contacted Melissa, Nicole, or Kelly we had to email multiple times to get answers to our questions.. the majority of the time they were out of office.
AMAZING experience having our wedding at Natirar in Nov 2023. The team was easy to work with and made sure our day was everything special & more. The flexibility of the main room layout was awesome and the indoor/outdoor vibes for cocktail hour truly let you have a wonderful sunset moment regardless of time of year. The food is obviously a major highlight here - having so many guests come up to us telling us they felt like they were at a restaurant getting dinner vs a traditional wedding event. There was never a line at the bar and the service was top notch.
From the moment we toured Natirar in 2021, it immediately became our dream venue. Although we had to wait quite a while for a contract due to construction, we can finally say that it was worth the wait. The grounds are absolutely stunning, the venue itself is so unique, and the staff was incredible, waiting on my Husband and I hand and foot on the day/night of the wedding. Our friends and family raved about the cocktail hour, the dinner, and the venue itself, and so many people came up to us saying they understood why we waited for Natirar. The day overall went so smoothly and we have Melissa, Kristen, and Kim to thank for that. Melissa took us through the contract process before going on maternity leave, Kim finalized the details of our day as we got close and executed the event and Kristen helped to make the transition from Melissa to Kim very seamless. It was the perfect day and our dream wedding!!
We had our daughter's wedding at Natirar, Peapack and Gladstone, NJ ,September 2023.
It was a fantastic event, the weather was perfect, our flowers were beyond spectacular , and everybody commented about every special detail we did, the love in the room and the look of sheer happiness my daughter and son-in-law had on their faces.
To be honest, no one complemented/mentioned the service as being spectacular. It was a beautiful venue, but to be very honest, we've had a lot of disappointments with our communications with our sales people, negotiations, and frankly day of experience at Natirar.
For what it's worth, we are including a list of things that we want to bring to your attention.
We wound up spending an incredible amount of money at this venue, we have incredible memories, but we are not 100% sure we could recommend Natirar to our friends
-We have a video that one of our guests took of empty cocktail stations, food that were not replenished
-No Macallan at outside bar right after ceremony, after MULTIPLE conversations with Beverage Director that that was the drink of choice for the father of bride and was to be at every bar.
-Bar was NOT open when we entered ball room, they were first setting it up. My son had to come find us to let us know some guests were complaining
-Repeatedly addressed with our sales rep and the bar manager that we have a big drinking crowd, this is in writing thru the year of communication- UNACCEPTABLE that the ballroom bar was not set up and ready to go
-Bar tenders putting out their own tip money out on bar, we saw it ourselves and had to say "please put that away"
-Bar ran out of ice, how can a venue of this caliber run out of ice!
-Bar ran out of glasses !! They used plastic cups towards the end of the event- embarrassing ! Again how can a venue of the caliber run out of glasses!!
-Bar manager not accommodating w bar package- we were willing to give up 4 types of alcohol for an additional tequila. Bar package included two types of every alcohol except only one tequila
-Asked for a bathroom attendant several times prior to wedding and was assured we would have one. I went into ladies room at 10:00 pm and the room was a mess. Garbage cans over flowing onto floor, my slipper baskets a mess, the vanities had empty glasses, toilet paper empty - this was shocking and embarrassing
-Ask for lights dimmed 5 times, cocktail room and banquet room and they weren’t.
-After party food came out late and placed in wrong the spot. I had to physically help them move it and go into kitchen and ask where it was
-No communication about time line being off. I had to go into kitchen area and ask why things were being followed according to the planned timeline.
-OUR sales manager, 9 months into planning and communicating with emails and meeting in person 3 times, referred to bride and groom in an email by other names.
-Communication from Sales Person, now the Director of Sales , below average. Never saw her smile once!
The list goes on but I will leave it at this!
All of the above were things we noticed and our guest brought to our attention. There were some other issues were attention to detail were just not up to what we would have expected for a venue of your quality, and frankly, for the amount of money we spent.
We had our wedding at The Mansion at Natirar in September and our guests are still raving about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was! Natirar was the first venue we visited and it was everything we were looking for in a wedding venue - stunning views, beautiful architecture and light, a modern and elegant but not over the top ballroom (we loved the living green wall, exposed brick, large windows, tall ceilings and wooden beams), outstanding food (with customizable menus), and professional staff.
Melissa was fantastic to work with. She was communicative and professional. We wanted to incorporate some cultural elements in the cocktail hour food and she was able to work with the chef to make it happen.
The day went by seamlessly and we truly appreciate all the Natirar staff for making our day feel so special and allowing us and our guests to enjoy every moment of it.
We had our wedding at The Mansion at Natirar on 9/10/22. The team over at Natirar is world class. The entire team delivered more than we expected. Our guests were so impressed with the food and beverage options and the service staff was so professional. Thank you to the entire team for helping us coordinate the most perfect wedding day!
We had our daughter’s wedding reception at the Mansion at Natirar on August 20,2022. Everything was simply amazing and just what our daughter had envisioned. She is thrilled beyond measure!! We received non stop complements all night, emails and text messages the next day and continuing about how gorgeous the Mansion was, that the food was outstanding and the service fantastic.
Many of our guests were from Massachusetts, Illinois, North Carolina, Florida, California even Norway- the Mansion truly highlights how beautiful this area of New Jersey is.
We felt so well taken care of and everything was truly incredible.
From day one, Melissa was fantastic to work with and we truly appreciate all of the guidance she gave us in planning this incredible day for our daughter and son in law.
My dream day!! Melissa and the team at Natirar went above and beyond and made sure every single detail was organized and executed to perfection. Melissa is very responsive, amicable, and worked with my husband and I to ensure our day went exactly as planned. She was always willing to schedule a phone call, answer an email, and see our vision through. The views, the mansion itself, the incredible staff and the exceptional food are unparalleled. We feel blessed to have had our dream day and we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you to Melissa, Natirar, and our wonderful vendors.
We had our wedding in December at Natirar and it was absolutely perfect. Melissa was so great to work with and was incredibly efficient and responsive. All the staff the night of the wedding were so kind! The reception space is to die for and the working fireplace was an extra bonus for the cozy winter wedding feel that we were aiming for. One of the best parts about Natirar is the ease of it-- you get the venue space as well as the amazing food and cake provided by their farm-to-table onsite restaurant. Our guests raved about the food and drinks along with the beauty of the space and it was truly the reception venue of our dreams!
Natirar is, beyond reasonable doubt, a most beautiful venue. The many spaces in the mansion offer so many different, elegant, dramatic backdrops for photos. With the entire mansion as a blank slate, there is so much space for creativity and invention. The grounds also lend themselves well to a variety of spaces that can be transformed however you please, with the help of a florist.
The catering was phenomenal. Planning the wedding at Natirar from out of state was a little challenging because they had in mind their timeline for various meetings, etc, and we had the reality of our professional lives in Boston, but once we sat down for our meeting with the head chef, we knew we were in excellent hands. From the ground up, he crafted an entire menu from scratch, beginning with our favorite foods and dishes that were culturally important to our families. The resulting menu was a creative blending of new Nordic and southern American cuisine, and everyone raved about it.
Getting ready for the wedding was another story. Natirar has on site one bridal suite, which is admittedly quite nice. However, marriage is the legal union of two people, and there does not exist a similar space for the other person. My spouse got ready in their “groom’s suite”—a room with a billiard ball set at 90 Acres that they lost access to at 5:00 pm before our 6:20 pm ceremony. Additionally, this entire set up is unbelievably hetero- and cis-normative and ought to be re-evaluated.
An additional hurdle was that we had two guests who were unable to find childcare for their infants during our adult only event. Natirar’s plan for this was to have the babysitter we hired in the bridal suite with me and everyone else. An initial plan was to have this crew set up in the groom’s suite during the event, but as mentioned above, this space was no longer there for us after 5:00 pm. Though there is another side to the mansion, Natirar was extremely reluctant to allow the babysitter and the infants to be in there for even that time before the ceremony, though our incredible planner finally worked something out with them to prevent that tight situation. For this reason, if you book Natirar, please hire a competent planner to negotiate on your behalf!
My spouse and I began our planning process with the core value of gender equity in mind. To this end, we designed clear, inclusive restroom signage. We imagined that the amount that Natirar billed us would render the mansion ours during those hours, but instead we discovered just prior to entering the ballroom that the Natirar staff had surreptitiously removed our custom signage. Many of our guests approached us during the event with disappointment that “someone tore down your signage!” When we asked about this, the response was that “it might make some guests uncomfortable,” as though the discomfort of some privileged cis-gendered guest was more tragic that making genderqueer guests feel unwelcome or unsafe. Once again, Natirar elected to forcefully adhere to outdated, conservative, noninclusive social practices.
Outside of these issues, the evening was nothing short of beautiful, and it was still, of course, the happiest day of our lives. Our guests raved that it was one of the most joyful weddings they had every seen. For these reasons, I recommend Natirar as a venue, but only to 1) those with no onsite babysitting needs, and 2) those unconcerned with issues of cis and hetero privilege.
We had our wedding at the Mansion at 90 Acres (Natirar). The mansion was new as of May 2017, and we had our wedding in November. We kept a close watch on the progress of the renovations, and we were really blown away by the final results. The venue was beautiful, and our catering sales manager (Melissa) was so helpful in the process. Luckily we were able to use sparklers outside since they recently passed a law to allow them in NJ in April of 2017.
Now, for the food...
This was the best wedding food we've ever had. The food was amazing! And our guests all said the same. We sat down with Chef David, who catered the menu to our tastes. The results were incredible, and we couldn't have thanked him enough. We just wish we had more stomach to eat all the delectable food.
The price per person isn't cheap (upwards of $300), but if you want a nice and new venue with an emphasis on the quality and taste of the food (hors-d'oeuvres + reception dinner), then you have to have your wedding here because you definitely get what you pay for.
Natirar is a stunning wedding venue - the photos speak for themselves. There are many opportunities for customization and the Natirar team is flexible and accommodating. Melissa was so helpful in sharing information, coordinating with our vendors, and making updates to our event information in a timely fashion. Chef David helped us create a unique menu and was totally open to all of our ideas, even as they evolved over time. Throughout the planning process, the Natirar team listened to all of our concerns and addressed them. During our wedding, the service was impeccable. Jeff and his team managed the timeline perfectly and took great care of us. In addition, the food was delicious and presented beautifully. We were so happy that all of our planning was executed so well. The Natirar team also connected us with our amazing planner Joan Glenn of 6 Degrees of Celebration who was a dream to work with. We cannot wait to return to Natirar and relive so many wonderful memories.
We loved everything about the Mansion at Natirar from the moment we first saw it, which happened to be mid-construction. That should give you a pretty good idea of how amazing this venue is…it wasn’t even done and it was still breathtaking. Over the course of our wedding planning (1.5 years), Melissa was incredible. She was there for us every step of the way, answering all of our questions. The chef spent a couple hours with us figuring out who we were and what we liked, so he could curate a menu that satisfied all of our needs. When the big day finally came, everything was PERFECT. The entire team at Natirar made sure that ever little detail was taken care of and most importantly, that my husband and I were taken care of. *Major shot out to Sharon for being the best bridal attendant a girl could ask for!* The ceremony was set up perfectly, the reception was gorgeous, and the food was amazing. We are still hearing about how amazing everything was from our guests! It was truly a magical day. We loved every second of it, and we owe a lot of thanks to Melissa and her team, and the chef for that! We highly recommend the Mansion at Natirar!
Natirar is an amazing venue! Everyone on the team provides top notch service and made our day amazing. The natural beauty of the venue paired with the unique elements like the live wall and the fantastic ceremony view are comparable to none other. Natirar is a truly unique wedding venue with 5 star service. Couldn’t have imagined our day anywhere else!!
7.29.18 was the best day of our lives. The team at The Mansion at Natirar is exceptional. We worked with Michelle who is beyond professional, warm, detail oriented, creative, patient, and thoughtful. She helped us plan our event and met with and spoke to us multiple times throughout the process. Her communication and follow through was so appreciated. The day of was above and beyond! The food delicious, the flow incredible, the teamwork unreal, the venue clean, and the views were breathtaking. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day and were able to have our cocktail hour and cermony outside. The team was well prepared with a rain plan just in case and I know the day would have been just as perfect inside! Jeff, Emily, Miriam, and all of the staff did an exceptional job to make sure the day was perfect. The food was unbelievable. Nothing cold and everything was plentiful. Our guests could not get over how incredibly delicious our food was! Everyone has expressed that our wedding was the best they have ever been to! Thank you to the Natirar team. I miss the day and everyone ! We love you. Love, Carly and Colin
From the moment we drove up the hill to Natirar, we knew this was the only venue for our daughter's wedding. The staff was spectacular, the chef was brilliant, the service was beyond exceptional and our coordinator (Lauren) could not have been any more responsive, understanding and caring.
Phenomenal space, stunning location, service and caring from the largest to the smallest detail.
If you can make it happen, make it happen at Natirar. It will spoil you for any other wedding you ever attend. Ever.
If you want to have a wedding like nothing else, check out The Mansion at Natirar & Ninety Acres. The event space is unique, and truly a special place if you are looking for something different. The service is outstanding - I cannot say enough good things about the banquet team that took care of us the day of our wedding, Emily, Jeff and Sharon were AMAZING to us, our wedding party and all of our guests. I have been in many weddings, and had never experienced a banquet team like them before. Throughout the planning process we had some minor frustrations since we booked The Mansion before the construction had started - so there were many unknowns. But the chance we took booking was SO worth it. Melissa, our sales manager, worked with us throughout the process, and she was extremely accommodating, and a great partner at Natirar. Our wedding day was beyond perfect and I give lots of credit to Natirar for their excellent service and hospitality. Thank you to the team for all you did to make our day the best day of our lives! We cannot wait to be back!
I cannot say enough good things about Ninety Acres. We had a smaller wedding with 78 guests, and decided on a luncheon event when the restaurant was closed. That way we could have the whole space to ourselves. This allowed us to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outside and lunch and dancing inside. Megan and her team were amazing, and put me at ease through the whole process. The chef personally worked with us to create a one of a kind menu that reflected both our tastes- The food was definitely stole the show! Everything from beginning to end was perfect. I would suggest throwing an event an Ninety Acres especially if you are looking for something a bit different than your typical catering hall.
I searched for a wedding venue for months throughout the entire tri-state area and hated everything, until I came across Ninety Acres. I knew immediately that this was the only option. The property itself is gorgeous, we held the ceremony and cocktail hour outside, and the reception inside the restaurant. Megan was amazing to work with as well. The food was extremely important to me as I am in the hospitality industry and hate wedding venue food, so if food is a top priority this is the place to go. The chef custom designs a menu for each couple, so no two menu's are alike. Also, we got our cake through Ninety Acres as well and it was one of the best cakes I have ever had in my life, if not the best, and this includes any restaurant I have been to. All of our guests told us this was the best venue, food and cake, they have ever been to/had.
Any pictures on their website do not even do this venue justice. The farm in the backyard, and windows in the restaurant make this a truly spectacular venue and we could not have picked a more perfect place.
On July 27th, we were married and held our reception at Ninety Acres Culinary Center. The ceremony was held outdoors on the lovely grounds followed by the reception which was filled with incredible ambiance, great food and a wonderful supporting staff.
Megan Dashio, a wonderful person and our event coordinator for Ninety Acres, was instrumentla in helping us plan and execute our special day - her input, assistance and vision helped make it a wonderful event that we will remember forever. She helped and met with us at every turn - from designing the ceremony, picking our menu options, creating our own signature cocktail to coordinating all the ancillary vendors.
The day could not have been better or more fun for us and all our guests - we owe a big debt to Megan and her staff. From the bottom of our hearts, we are most grateful. And, we highly recommend Ninety Acres and Megan!
we held our wedding reception in the carriage house at 90 Acres and it was fabulous! Used the outdoor patio for cocktails, the restaurant for dinner and dancing . . . wonderful food, elegantly comfortable surroundings and great--simply great 90 Acres event coordinator (Megan Dashio); she accommodated our every wish capably and effortlessly. A delight to work with the facility and the people who work there!
