When it comes to picking a venue, it feels like there are hundreds of factors to consider. How many people can it accommodate? What if we want to host the ceremony and reception in the same place? How does cocktail hour transition into reception? How can the room be designed? And you are likely picking a venue at a point in the wedding timeline where you don't know the answer to these questions yourself. Enter: Pennway Place at Studio Dan Meiners. Picking the venue was the first choice I had to make when planning my wedding which is daunting because there are so many factors at play. However, the Dan Meiner staff made this an easy choice because of the flexibility offered at the space. Not sure how many guests? No worries, we can move this wall in or out as needed. Ceremony and reception? Not a problem, your guests can seamlessly walk out into the spacious cocktail lounge area while the team flips the room, undetected by guests. Not sure about your wedding theme or colors? The venue is already your built in florist with a stockpile of decor at the ready. A few months out from the big day, I met with the owner and florist, Dan Meiners, who took my inspirational photos and made my vision come to life. The final floral and decor were breathtaking - photos don't even do it justice. So many of the things that made our day feel effortless were because of the unique flexibility of the space and the knowledgeable and attentive staff. Everything about the space was carefully thought through and our guests had an incredible time making use of all the various layouts and seating arrangements - not to mention a double sided bar that kept people "hydrated" and close to the dance floor. If given the choice to do it all over again, I'd choose Pennway Place in a heartbeat.

I had a great time using Pennway place for our wedding reception. The staff was very great to work with and Dan's design was absolutely gorgeous. From a person that didn't quite know what type of design we wanted, Dan was great to getting the nitty gritty information and producing wonderful results! The greatest thing working with Pennway place is probably the management side that they have! You never have to worry about anything at all, they have great staff that will work with everyone and produce wonderful results. I would highly recommend anyone that is looking for a studio that will put together wonderful designs, and of course beautiful flower arrangements that will leave anyone in awe.

We had so many compliments about our venue and our flowers from our wedding guests! We were able to work closely with the vendor to change any and all aspects of the floral and decorations so it ended up perfect for our big day. We absolutely loved the separate spaces for cocktail hour and dinner that really made it feel like you had two venues, and once the space was opened there was so much room for guests to enjoy themselves. I only wish we could do it all again!

We used pennway place for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and we couldn’t have been happier with them!! The staff is super easy to work with and Elena is very responsive and helpful! They did all the decorating and tear down for the event, as well which took so much stress off the family! Everything I asked for, they helped make sure I got!

Book this venue! Every staff member, from Rory and Elena to the bar managers, florists, and every staff member in between will more than exceed your expectations. They go above and beyond to make sure that whatever vision you have in your head comes to life on the day of your wedding. They work with you every step of the way in making sure you feel heard and important. No matter how small the detail they were always willing to sit down and discuss to ensure that my wedding day was everything and more. I got more compliments than I ever imagined I would and I can honestly say my day would not have been nearly as perfect if I picked another reception spot. So so so many thanks to all the people at Studio Dan Meiners.

My husband and I had the most beautiful wedding at this venue! It was the perfect spot and everything came together perfectly! A special shout out to Taylor, she was so easy to work with and kept me on track (we didn't use a wedding planner). I went there with a vision and they made everything even better than I had imagined! They can really put together just about anything! The venue is gorgeous and has tons of space. I highly recommend this space, you won't be disappointed!

Studio Dan Meiners was the absolute perfect reception spot for my husband and I. We wanted more of a celebration vibe than a classic reception...no assigned seating, more lounge seating and cocktail tables, and we let Dan and Taylor run with our vision of a wintery white vibe and it was truly perfect. Our flowers were magicial, we had Christmas trees throughout the reception, beautiful green chandeliers, and simple, yet statement making furniture. Taylor was incredible to work with throughout the process, especially when I was an airhead bride with 0 answers and terrible response time. I will always trust Dan with any floral needs, and recommend the Studio to anyone needing an event space, be it for a wedding or party. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make your event perfect for you. I can't say enough good things about Dan and Taylor especially. Thanks for making my day so amazing.

Jon (my husband) and I are truly so appreciative of Dan Meiners Studio and specifically of Taylor Burke the space's Event Manager. This was one of the best choices we made out of all of the decisions we had to make, specifically with vendors. From the initial meeting with Dan to the end of our reception, we were blown away by the fluidity of the team approach from planning to execution. They ask lots of questions and help you think about everything and walk you through the vision. As the couple getting married you have never done this but they have 100s of times, so you don't know what you don't know but they are patient and make you feel like they know what they're doing so you don't have to worry. They went above and beyond our expectations on everything. I expected an escort card table but they brought it to life with a unique structural piece that fit the vibe of our event (not just a simple tray with cards), but an art element for the reception. I loved our bouquets - beautiful garden roses and a mixtures of whites/creams with pops of anemones. We had unique flower/art elements for our reception, and they were able to take an idea and actually bring it to life. Taylor was SO on top of it, standing in for our coordinators in some cases - she has the mentality of everything is her job even when it is not. We had a snafu with last minute table assignment and Taylor jumped in and helped problem solve and re-arrange tables last minute. I had no clue any of this happened behind the scenes. They can make anything happen - just ask! For us, we live out of town, so it was unconventional in some cases to meet on the phone v in person or have someone come to the studio on my behalf and they were willing to work through everything with us. We came in town for our planning session and they helped us line everything up so that we could meet with everyone the same day (flowers, bar, DJ, etc.) and it made it super easy for us. They are VERY communicative, prompt/timely, and thoughtful. I would work with Dan's group again if I had to make the decision again.

The space was absolutely stunning and their floral arrangements filled the space beautifully. We had our reception at Pennway Place, and we absolutely loved it. The space is gorgeous, and Taylor was so easy to work with to make our vision come true. It was the perfect size for how many guests we had, and the dance floor was packed all night.

Taylor (the venue coordinator) and Dan were absolutely amazing to work with! With only a few pictures to work with, Dan created EXACTLY what I was envisioning for our wedding and more! Dan even hung greenery from the ceiling which was the perfect touch and we received so many compliments. Our flowers were gorgeous and a stranger even asked to take a picture of my bouquet because she said it was the most beautiful one she had ever seen. We are still having guests tell us how beautiful our wedding was. Taylor was also excellent to work with. I sent her so many emails and she always responded very quickly and was extremely helpful in answering all my questions. This really was the perfect location for our 230 guest wedding. We loved everything about it and again cannot express enough how great Dan, Taylor, and the rest of the staff were to work with!

From florals, to decor, to ambiance, Studio Dan Meiners will make your big day everything you've dreamt about and more. I am still in awe of how beautiful my wedding reception was. I had my sons rehearsal dinner at Pennway Place. Dan is amazing! He is truly one of the most talented event people I have ever worked with. The flowers and decor were absolutely beautiful. My guests couldn't get over how beautiful the room was. They were really easy to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend having an event there.

Our wedding at Pennway Place couldn’t have been more perfect! The layout of the venue made flipping the room between ceremony and reception easy and helped with the flow of the entire night. Our guests mentioned multiple times how cool and unique the venue was. The style of the Pennway Place was a huge part of why me and my husband fell in love with it. When we met with Dan to discuss our vision for the flowers, I really only had an idea of what I wanted for bouquets. He had an idea for the ceremony that I couldn’t quite visualize at the time but I trusted him and I’m sure glad that I did because all of the flowers took my breathe away! I almost cried with joy when we walked in! The staff are super helpful and kind. I emailed Taylor about half a dozen times leading up to the wedding and she was always quick to respond. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married and would do everything the same if I could do it over again!

This was such a wonderful place for our wedding! Dan was a genius at helping us plan the flowers and put our thoughts for how we wanted to the ceremony/reception to look and feel into action. They can make anything you want! It was great! Megan was who helped us every step of the way. From touring the venue multiple times, to her instant emails back to me about any question i may have had. She also helped us plan step by step and helped with the time frame for the day of so that everything went smoothly. She wont let you forget anything. We had so many compliments about how beautiful and elegant our wedding was. I would choose this place a million times over.

Megan and team at Studio Dan Meiners were AMAZING to work with for our wedding day. They made the entire process so easy and stress-free. They listened to our wedding vision and really brought it to life. It was beyond anything I could have dreamed up on my own. The logistics were so easy for guests. We had no problems with bar lines, flow from cocktail to reception space, dance floor, etc. We received endless compliments about how beautiful the space looked (decor, flowers, the works!). My husband and I booked Studio Dan Meiners for our October wedding ceremony and reception and had Dan design our flowers and it's true what everyone says - the entire SDM team will make your vision come to life and then more! From our initial tour, to our inspiration meeting and then the table/flower mock-up - the SDM team is the real deal. Dan and Megan were able to take my vague vision (and lack of 1000 pins on a pinterest board) into an amazing ceremony and reception!! The ceremony was bright, modern, airy, with Dan's incredible floral arrangements. During cocktail hour, the team magically flipped the room for our reception. I will NEVER forget the few minutes my husband and I slipped into the room before they opened the doors for all of our guests. We were absolutely blown away! What was bright and airy only an hour before, was now dimly lit to have a romantic look and feel and the floral centerpieces and decorations were just beautiful - couldn't have dreamed of anything better. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Dan, Megan and the entire SDM team are truly so talented and really made our wedding day an absolute dream!

W.O.W!!!! Dan Meiners was absolutely AMAZING! I knew the minute I walked in to visit this venue that this was the place!! From the beginning to end, Megan and her staff did an unbelieve job. Everything was so perfect!! Megan was on top of it all!! The decorations, flowers and venue was beautiful!! I would recommend this place to anyone!! I was obsessed with my wedding!!

From a venue perspective, we had the best experience! The building was able to accommodate our 200+ guest list with ease. There was enough space for a band (Lost Wax), a photo booth (Icon) and plenty of space for guests to mingle. The bar staff was wonderful and their menu selection was very diverse. Dan and his team absolutely nailed our ceremony and reception vision (floating candles from the ceiling, boho centerpieces and a gorgeous alter). However, we were very disappointed with our bouquets and flower crowns. The colors were different from what we originally discussed in our questionnaire, consultation and final contract (requested dark, moody jewel tones and received bright pinks and purples). The Queen Proteas in the bridal bouquet were delivered as completely closed and only opened ever so slightly after the ceremony and after the majority of pictures. There were a handful of flowers and greenery that were not only never discussed but also the wrong color palette compared to the images used in the consultation. The Ice White Proteas in the bridal party's bouquets never opened and were mocked as "fuzzy artichokes". It was strange to have such an incomplete floral order from a team that's so often referred to as the, "best in Kansas City". We did get to see a small reception centerpiece (very small, do not expect to see all centerpieces) preview a month ahead of time - but there was no preview of the bouquets or crowns. Had we had a chance to see the bouquets and crowns with the rest of the preview arrangement, we could have addressed these mistakes and had the right florals for our wedding day. These concerns have been addressed with Megan, Dan and their design team prior to this review. After 4 business days, Megan replied and said she was, "sorry to hear you did not love your bouquets and crowns" and advised, "this is something that rarely happens". While she did offer a $200 credit towards a future floral order from them, the response was, like the bouquets and crowns, disappointing. There was no acknowledgement or ownership in their mistake. While this did not keep us from getting married, it was an awful lot of money on the wrong bouquets and crowns.

We had the best day at Pennway Place! The coordinator was always responsive to my several emails during planning and made sure I thought of everything the week of. The floral is a huge highlight at this venue. Everyone commented on how beautiful all of the arrangements turned out. Our favorite part was the separate cocktail space and the style of the venue. They give you 1 bartender for every 50 people, so there are no long cocktail hour lines!

Where to start?! Studio Dan Meiners made March 24th, 2018 the PERFECT day! Our ceremony and reception were held at the Pennway Place Event Space. Dan Meiners and his team had the daunting task of designing and decorating both events, coordinating the transition from ceremony to reception, managing the bar and guest needs, and appeasing the two groom-zillas on the most amazing day. They met every challenge! Studio Dan Meiners delivers an excellent final product (whatever that may be… floral, décor, event design, etc) and it is very apparent they take pride in their execution and attention to detail. We put complete trust into Dan’s design for the wedding/reception décor and floral arrangements, and he did not disappoint. It was a perfect blend of our requests and his modern, brilliant aesthetic. I can’t mention Dan without mentioning Megan. Megan is the Event Manager and one of the most fun, organized and experienced persons you can have on your wedding planning/coordinating team. Megan knows weddings and receptions… she thought of every detail that we didn’t. Megan ensured that the day went smoothly was there to troubleshoot anything that came up. We were honored to be the first same-sex wedding with two grooms at their space. I would recommend Studio Dan Meiners to everyone!! They created a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

As one who works in the architecture + design industry, the vision I had for our wedding started with the venue. And as soon as my husband and I walked into Studio Dan Meiners (the 13th and final venue we visited!), we KNEW it was the perfect palette for the experience we wanted to create for our day. THE SPACE. It's elegant without being stuffy; contemporary without being cold. Dan has an impeccable eye for detail and it's evident in every element of the space. While it's large enough to accommodate parties of 400, the team was quick to explain how it could flip from ceremony to reception, and how walls could be moved and the space could be scaled to make our wedding feel intimate with different areas for lounging, food stations / dining, and of course, dancing. :) THE DECOR VISION. Dan channeled my vision brilliantly. Our consult was so inspiring! While he does exquisite floral work (often over the top for budgets that allow it!) I told him I prioritized design and architecture over flowers and wanted an elegant, yet understated look. He was able to translate that into everything -- from the candlelit windows that enclosed our wedding in the round (so intimate and stunning!) to the structural lines in my bouquet -- and the table centerpieces! He created a design and experience unlike anything I've ever seen. And last but note least: MEGAN IS AMAZING!! My husband and I popped into Studio Dan Meiners without an an appointment, and the staff graciously gave us a tour. Event / Sales Manager Megan Rohde is a GEM. Not only is she incredibly personable and detail-oriented, but she's FUN! I brought her on as my day-of coordinator; she not only helped keep the ship on track with both my planning and vendor management--crucial when planning a wedding in KC from LA! -- but helped keep me centered and calm. She was happy to help however she could -- always going above and beyond! I truly cannot imagine any other venue bringing our ceremony and reception to life as perfectly as Dan and his team, and am so grateful for the precious, BEAUTIFUL memories they helped us create.

Pennway Place at Studio Dan Meniners was everything my husband and I dreamed! Coming from a big family we have attended a lot of weddings in KC and wanted a space that was different and our own. We loved the modern feel that the spaced had, how versatile the space was, and how we could really make it our own! Everyone who attended our big day were impressed with the space, the vision Dan helped us bring to life, the professionalism of the staff, and beauty of the venue. Megan R and the staff could not have been more supportive, quick to respond, and easy to work with. We had an outside vendor bail on us the last few weeks and Megan and the team rushed right in to help up. They reassured us that our day would be perfect and they went above and beyond to help us so we could enjoy the weeks leading up to our big day. On our big day everything was perfect and everything we dreamed of. This was the easiest and best decision we made during wedding planning and I couldn't have been happier with how our day turned out!!! Megan, Dan, and the entire staff Thank you for everything you did and making our wedding day a day that we will never forget!!!!

We were so happy with Studio Dan Meiners! Everything looked absolutely stunning with our wedding. My husband was not initially sold on the look of the venue (he said it was too white inside) but loved the way everything looked the day of. They transformed the entire event space to be exactly what we talked about. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and all of our guests had so many compliments. Megan was awesome to work with and the day could not have run more perfect. We had the wedding, cocktail hour, and reception at the venue. It all transitioned great. I would highly recommend this venue. They are worth every penny! I cannot say enough great things.

We had the BEST wedding EVER at Penway Place! I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, and Meghan, their coordinator, was so helpful and knowledgeable, that everything went effortlessly!! Our decor and floral was to die for thanks to Dan and his team! I’m still hearing from our guests about how much they loved our wedding, and we could not have pulled it off without this team!!! The next event we throw will be without a doubt, at Penway Place!

Studio Dan Meiners exceeded our expectations!!! We had our reception at Pennway Place in August and everything was perfect! Megan was a huge help with all the details and timeline of how the day would flow. I highly recommend Pennway Place as a venue and also Dan Meiner as a florist. Our flowers were absolutely stunning and exactly what I wanted!!! I got so many wonderful comments from the guests on our flowers and the venue! I love how Pennway Place is all white on the insides, meaning you can decorate with any color you want and it looks great! The venue is very versatile and fit our 240 guests with plenty of room for the dance floor! Thank you to the entire team at Studio Dan Meiners for making our dream wedding a reality!!

The space and flowers (obviously) are amazing. Guests remarked on how gorgeous the flowers were; the amazing and tentative team; and very friendly bartenders. Megan is amazing and very responsive. She helped tremendously with mapping out the timeframe for the big day. She was reassuring and made me feel so much more relaxed. Everyone is really easy and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants flexibility in their space. We even rented a tent for outside and Megan helped coordinate with our outside vendors as well. A plus team!

My husband and I absolutely loved having our wedding at Studio Dan Meiners! Dan is an absolute visionary and our flowers and decor were STUNNING. He understood my pinterest vision and made it into a reality. The staff at Pennway Place, Megan Rohde in particular, were also amazing. If you are looking for a venue to exceed your dreams, Studio Dan Meiners is the place! Our daughter got married there and had her reception there. While being the mother of the bride and doing most of the leg work because our daughter lives out of town, everyone there was so accommodating. Megan Rohde (our coordinator for The Studio) and Dan himself, always seemed available to us. Both by phone and in person. The room for the ceremony was beautiful and then flipped (in the time they had said) for the reception which was breathtaking. It totally exceeded our dreams. We would do it again in a heartbeat! We don't have any complaints, except if they could have made the outside temperature cooler that would have been full service. You will be so happy working with Megan and Dan and all their people.

Hands down amazing experience! From the time we booked the venue to day of the wedding, I could not of asked for a better experience with Dan and his staff. The communication was amazing and Dan took our ideas and made them better!! The event space could not of been better and the room flip was amazing. The staff did an amazing job creating the look we wanted and set us apart from other weddings our guest attended. We received to many compliments on the decor and set up. Best part was we did nothing-we showed up-talk about stress free day! Dan staff did everything for us-leaving us to enjoy our perfect day. Sad its all over that I can't speak to the amazing people who work there

Dan Meiners and his team are truly amazing! The venue has so much character and design already built into it, rather than it just being a bland reception hall. But one of my favorite things was that Dan is also a floral and event designer so it's a one-stop-shop for floral, decor, different kinds of furniture, and event design. I loved that I didn't have to use outside vendors to try to guess what would look good in the space. I showed Dan and his team a mood board and they brought it to life in their space. Also love this venue because of it's location - it was great to be close to downtown but in an easily accessible location with easy parking. Highly recommend this venue!

We worked with Megan R and her involvement, attention to detail, and overall knowledge of taking many, many puzzle pieces and making the most beautiful masterpiece created a day for our families that we will cherish forever! Our flowers were created by Studio Dan Meiners and they were fabulous! From my bouquet - to the corsages - to the table arrangements...the flowers were Magnificent and so unique. My first look at my bouquet brought tears to my eyes! When I walked into the dining reception area, it took my breathe away! Everything was put together so beautifully from the table arrangements, to the lighting ( the most subtle pink hue), to the FLOWERS! Did I mention that the flowers were the most beautiful in the world! The tall vases with the most gorgeous arrangements were just perfect! The smaller table arrangements were perfect too and all so complimentary of each other. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe. We received so many compliments from our guests regarding everything from the set-up of the venue allowing guests to mingle around the dance floor and the more conversation friendly lounge areas. The setup for the buffet and bars was so easy to navigate for our guests. The placement of the selfie mirror was also a great idea and we think it was so much more inviting for participation! There were a couple of preferred vendors like the DJ and the bartender that were so capable but more importantly…so friendly and provided a great experience for everyone. Many of our guests had never been in Studio Dan Meiners but I guarantee you, they will keep this venue in mind for their next event planning and pass on their compliments to friends. Megan coordinated meetings for our vendors to come in and work out all the logistics of our big day! In our opinion, Pennway Place was the best choice we made. Best Wedding EVER!!!!!!!

Studio Dan Meiners is the complete package. We had a great experience with Megan and Dan. They make it a seamless process for the bride and groom. The details and the amenities the venue offers is a great deal. The attention to detail is better than anything you will find in KC! The modern feel with warmth and elegance made our wedding reception above our expectations!!!

THE BEST PLACE IN KC TO GET MARRIED! I have nothing but great things to say about the team and the space itself at SDM! Upon our initial consultation my fiance and I had little to no idea of what we envisioned our big day to look like. We submitted our form along with an assortment of photos I had collected from pinterest before meeting with Dan. By the end of the meeting he had helped us piece those photos together along with random requests such as a specific reception floor plan into our dream that we didn't even know could exist :) The team at SDM was with us every step of the way. We had multiple meetings including a floral sample - amazing! I had no idea how happy I would be to see the centerpiece before hand. It helped me with any other details I was contemplating such as napkin fold (sounds silly but just wait until you get to that detail). We had an all vendor meeting at SDM which allowed everyone who hadn't worked there before to check out the space and put a face to the name with the other vendors. MELISSA - the coordinator at SDM and quite possibly an angel. We decided to opt out of a wedding planner and if we had not gotten married at SDM and Melissa along our journey we would have been, pardon my french, totally screwed. SHE IS AMAZING! THE BEST! There are not enough words to describe our gratitude. She answered my late night emails with patience and gave me grace when I was running late with my seating chart. She handled small details that I had forgotten to assign. We held both our ceremony & reception at SDM with a cocktail hour during the room flip ---- it was perfect! It was so nice for the guests to not have to travel between the two. There is free parking for all of your guests. There is also a large room in the back with a kitchenette and seating for the wedding party to hang out. I also LOVE the versatility of the space. SDM has options galore in terms of setup. I follow them on social media and each and every event looks different and is tailored to the taste of the event.

We had our wedding reception at Pennway Place in October, and I couldn't have asked for a better venue! It initially caught our interest because of its unique and modern feel, but even more importantly, we saw how versatile the space was, and felt that we could really make it our own! We loved being able to have separate areas for the cocktail hour and dinner - opening up the sliding doors into dinner/dancing really added a wow factor! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the venue, and the elegance of the reception. We primarily worked with Melissa Hightower as our wedding day grew closer, and she was nothing but amazing! She always responded to my emails quickly, and went above and beyond to accommodate my requests or answer any questions I had. We sat down with Dan about 6 months before the wedding to talk through floral and decor, and he truly helped my vision come to life! I was blown away by his expertise and ability to connect with my style and vision, and the final product was everything I imagined it to be and more. And the flowers.... Absolutely beautiful!!!! From the unique and versatile space, great location, wonderful bar service and bar packages, and the incredible staff, I would HIGHLY recommend Pennway Place! It was one of the best decisions we made throughout our planning process, and I couldn't have been happier with how the evening turned out. Thank you for helping to make our wedding day so perfect, and a day that we will never forget!

Pennway Place is such a beautiful venue! I love how creative Dan Meiners is, he made our wedding so personal and fitting for our style. The space was large enough to fit 285 guests, and I love that there was a cocktail area with a small lounge. They flipped our ceremony space to our reception in about 45 minutes! I loved everything about this venue.

This venue is wonderful. It is so spacious and modern and has the potential to host a variety of styles. Every one that we worked with was always accommodating, especially when it came down to choosing the decorations. I'm not a big fan of flowers, so this may have been an odd venue choice. In the end I did use some flowers for bouquets and Mary was super wonderful in taking my odd request to use glow sticks in them and creating beautiful bouquets that weren't overwhelmingly floral. She was great at finding us decor alternatives that went with my glowlight theme. Melissa was there to coordinate everything leading up to and on the day and she was delightful. So helpful. All the staff was great and efficient and they made the venue fit our wedding so well. I had zero concerns that there would be any problems and things went perfectly. I was able to leave so many venue details in the professional, capable hands of Melissa and Mary and the bar staff and be able to enjoy my wedding. The space is beautiful, the people are wonderful, and this venue is well worth it.

Pennway Place at Studio Dan Meiners was an amazing venue space! The space was large enough to accommodate our guests and offered spacious areas for people to hang out. Dan did an elegant job of capturing our colors within the floral design and Melissa was a pleasure to work with, she accommodated our every need and we're very thankful that she joined the Dan Meiners team a few months prior to our wedding! Highly recommend using Dan Meiners, you won't be disappointed!

When we walked into Dan Meiners for the first tour, I knew instantly that it was the perfect place for us. Even though I was pretty set on Dan Meiners, we still toured numerous other places to make sure and nothing compared to Dan Meiners. We ended up going with Studio Dan Meiners for our wedding and reception and it proved to be the absolute perfect venue! We are so happy with our decision, and we loved everything about the venue. Sophie, the event space manager, was extremely organized and quick to respond to any communication. She made the planning process very easy and as stress free as possible. We met with Dan 5 months before our event to talk flowers and details. I didn't really know what I wanted, so I told him colors I had in mind, things I didn't like, and showed him some pinterest pictures that I did like. He took it from there (per my request) and worked within my budget to execute the most beautifully decorated wedding I have ever seen! He never once tried to talk me into increasing my floral budget and actually came in a little under the budget I gave him. I am still getting comments about how beautiful the space and flowers were. Joel, the bar manager, and the bar tenders for the wedding were awesome to work with as well! They kept the drinks coming and there was never a line. They had multiple drink package options that allowed us to create the just right package while staying within our budget. I 100% recommend Dan Meiners to all brides and grooms (or just anyone wanting to throw an awesome party)! Dan Meiners is truly a design/ floral genius, and his team makes wedding planning as easy as it possibly can be.

We had our wedding at Pennway Place in June and it was incredible. The space is so unqique! We planned our wedding from out of town and Dan and his team were very accommodating. The fact that the venue handles flowers and decor was a huge stress saver. Everything was exactly how I had pictured it. Sophie, the in house coordinator, perfectly executed every detail that we had discussed. On such an important day it's important to feel like you're in good hands and we are so happy we went with Pennway Place. We are still getting compliments and how beautiful the reception was. I highly recommend this venue.

Thank you Pennway Place at Studio Dan Meiners (special shout out to Sophie) for making our daughters wedding a "night to remember". The venue was absolutely beautiful and set as we had envisioned. The staff was amazing, professional, so attentive. Last but not least THE FLOWERS! I have never seen flowers so beautiful in my life. They captured the vision we had for the bouquets, table arrangements and overall essence. We highly recommend this venue for our special occasion.

My daughter had her marriage ceremony and reception at Pennway Place. Our guests were in awe of the venue. They could not believe how beautiful everything looked. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. The staff was great. The dance floor was the perfect size. Their preferred DJ, ICON EVENT GROUP, kept the celebration going until midnight. Kenneth from ICON was amazing. The whole evening was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend Studio Dan Meiners/ Pennway Place and ICON. It was a great day!

Pennway Place at Studio Dan Meiners was the most perfect venue for our wedding this past April! My husband and I have zero regrets about choosing them as our venue and florist. Sophie, the venue manager, was a dream to work with. Even with our last minute changes with the ceremony set up, Sophie and her team were happy to oblige. Sophie's communication and follow up was always timely and efficient. Dan Meiners floral team is undoubtedly top notch. Our wedding flowers were over the top amazing. Dan was able to take my small vision and make it in to something I could never dream of. We have received, and continue to receive, very gracious complements about our wedding floral from the bouquets to the large stately center pieces. Our overall experience with Pennway Place was something I will never forget. If we had to go back and do it all over again I would still choose this wonderful venue and team of professionals!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Dan Meiners, all of his staff and the space itself were for our wedding day. Our initial meeting with Dan was very professional. We could tell that it was his goal to make everything we dreamed to come true. I was very hands off the day of the wedding, letting it all come together and allowing myself to just enjoy all of the little moments. The staff at Pennway Place was decorating the ceremony space at Union Station and then moving those arrangements and decor back to the Studio. It all went off without a hitch (at least as far as I knew!). All of the arrangements were exactly what I had hoped for and my bouquet was breathtaking! I would highly recommend Dan and his staff for any event!

We loved the facility, lighting, ease for DJ to connect, flexibility in setting up ceremony, and super quick flip of the room. Come the day of our wedding, we had no worries as the coordinator took care of all the details. The entire facility was very clean. We had a ton of compliments!

Pennway Place was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. Megan was our initial contact until Sophie came on board. Dan, Megan and Sophie went above and beyond to learn about our vision, suggest reputable vendors, answer our questions and translate out vision into reality. Pennway Place is essentially a blank slate that allows you to choose your layout, colors, setup, ambiance, and even where your walls go. This could get overwhelming, but the team was great about sharing what others had done and what worked well. We were confident enough in the team to give them some creative freedom, and I'm so glad we did! The venue was beautiful and beyond what I had imagined! If you have the chance to work with this team, do it! You won't be disappointed!

Oh my goodness- I can't say enough good things about the Pennway Place!! I had my reception there recently and everything was PERFECT. When you use this venue, you have to use Dan's floral service which was just fine with me because everything he and his staff create is incredible and I probably would have chose them to do my flowers anyways. We received so many compliments not only on the floral (which in my opinion was the best I've seen at a wedding ever and I know I am biased because it was my wedding ;)) but also on the venue itself. It was clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing after the recent renovations they did to the space. I can't stop talking about the hanging center pieces they did for us- so unique! Not only was the space incredible, but the staff was too. I met with Dan once and he was so helpful and knowledgeable and I could tell that he really cared that I was happy with what he was going to do with my floral which meant a lot. Megan was also amazing. She was organized, professional, and worked well with my wedding planner. to ensure everything was flawless. And it was! My jaw dropped when I saw my own reception! I wouldn't have wanted my reception to be anywhere else in KC because of the personal touches of the staff at the Pennway made on my wedding. I can't forget about the bar staff- when we met with Joel (I Think that was his name?) he was friendly and helpful and the bartenders at my reception were kind to our guests. Among all the wedding venues in KC this place is truly a gem that stood out to me and my guests. Because of their professionalism and hard work, my wedding was unforgettable. We had a top notch wedding reception experience with Pennway Place and Dan Meiners. First – the space. It has the openness of a warehouse with a modern look. It’s hipper than a hotel ballroom, but still has a level of polish that the brick-interior Crossroads spaces all lack, so it’s a better fit for an important event like a wedding. Moveable wall panels can make the rooms bigger or smaller, so it’s exactly the right size for your party. Second – the flowers! Dan is the florist for many of my corporate office clients, so I have seen his work for years and know he is the best in town. We essentially told Dan “design something modern and interesting” within our color scheme. He and his team knocked it out of the park. There were tulips suspended from the ceiling, Alice-in-Wonderland looking hedges, and minimalist arrangements taller than our guests. The flowers were a hit with all the guests. Third – behind the scenes. The event coordinator, Megan, was exceptionally organized and made everything run smoothly. She had great tips to help us save money, too! When we cancelled our photo-booth at the last minute, she fixed the furniture arrangement so no one even noticed. When our cake designer had a last minute problem with the cake stand, Megan swooped in and made it work. If we’d planned a reception at a bare-box empty space or warehouse, the little things that went wrong could have turned into bigger issues. For the entire reception, the bride and I got to enjoy the party while she coordinated everything quietly in the background.

Studio Dan Meiners made our wedding day absolutely perfect. At my first meeting with Dan, I was so impressed. I brought along a few pictures of flowers/decor I thought I wanted and within 10 minutes, Dan had everything laid out perfectly. It was better than I could have ever imagined. I was such a stress free bride knowing he was in charge of decor and floral arrangements. The day of, he did not disappoint. I arrived to our reception in awe! We received SO many compliments. Megan Rohde did a wonderful job helping to make sure everything ran smoothly. Megan was very easy to reach and responded to calls and e-mails quickly. She communicated well with us and with all of our vendors. Megan was always welcoming of questions and ready to problem solve any concerns that came up along the way. The people who work at Studio Dan Meiners are easy to trust, welcoming, friendly, and just enjoyable to work with. We were extremely pleased with the event space itself, as well. With 180 guests, Dan and Megan helped us arrange everything perfectly. A month after our wedding, my husband and I attended a wedding at Studio Dan Meiners. We were shocked to see that the event space fit 350 people just as well. Studio Dan Meiners is very adaptable and Megan and Dan are pros on what looks best for each unique wedding. Each time we told a vendor where our reception would be, we received a response like this, "Oh good! Studio Dan Meiners is an amazing venue. They are great to work with and have so much to offer". And after everything was said and done, we couldn't agree more. Between the the set up and the amenities, it just makes for a great party. We were impressed by the new sound system, the private space for the wedding party, customizable wall/dance floor lighting, the catering kitchen, private parking, and more. My husband and I are really grateful for the day we had and a HUGE part of that is thanks to Studio Dan Meiners! We would not have changed a thing!

Overall fantastic experience! My husband and I got married here June 18th and it was unbelievable. I have recommended this venue to multiple friends. The space is so versatile and can accommodate large and small weddings. Ours was around 320 and the space was perfect for it. I want to thank Megan and the staff for an unforgettable day. I have nothing negative to say about our experience.

The venue had the look and feel that we were looking for and included great amenities. Megan was so great to work with. She always made sure to stay in touch through out our planning stages and was incredibly accommodating the month of! Dan understood my vision of having simple, elegant, but fun decor! And our blooms were gorgeous! I also appreciated having a sit down session with him to plan out our events. Having our wedding at Studio Dan Meiners was the best decision we made!
