We had a nice experience with the Dublin location overall. My hair is tricky so I couldn’t have it exactly how I wanted, but I do think it looked decent. I liked my makeup, but do not usually wear very much at all so it took some getting used to when I was looking at the photos! We chose to have our services done at the salon to save a bit more on cost. The week of the wedding I was notified by the corporate office that handles wedding bookings that they rescheduled two of my bridesmaids appointments. One was within our requested time frame and the other was not. I was rather disappointed in the change. It didn’t work for us so my bridesmaid ended up doing her own hair and makeup. In addition, one person didn’t come to her appointment per my request due to COVID related concerns. My hair stylist asked if my guest could just come in and wear a mask to receive services. The comment made me uncomfortable. I also would have liked to see everyone being able to get ready in the same room, but the layout of the building, combined with the several other bridal parties and their regular appointments didn’t cater to that. There only ended up being 4 people total that received service and it would have been nice to be in the same room.

I booked with Penzone bridal on demand services. I didn’t do a trial, which I now regret not doing. However, I was assured that if I told my makeup artist what I wanted and with their experience and additional training, it would be great. I told my artist I wanted a natural look. First, I am pretty sure a primer wasn’t used and the makeup just sat on top of my face. When I commented on this, he assured me it would melt into my skin throughout the night which was not the case. I looked cakey all night. I also asked for a wing and I definitely got a wing, but considering I asked for natural makeup, it was way over done. There are tons of different eyeliner looks and he gave me the darkest and biggest wing I’ve had in my whole life. Overall it just was not a good experience and the makeup was the only thing I didn’t like about my wedding day.

My bridal experience at penzone was wonderful! Starting with my trials, my skin and hair artists were incredibly kind and helpful to me, not to mention talented. I also spent a lot of time in the salon the week prior to my wedding for all the waxing, nails, and facials! Every artist that I had the pleasure of meeting was knowledgeable, prepared and truly seemed so happy to help prepare me for my big day. My day of services were perfect as well, with some help of the social host to calm our nerves with some mimosas and perfect bites from Cameron Mitchell we had a fabulous morning getting ready at penzone! This salon, specifically the Dublin location will receive a glowing review and recommendation to anyone looking for the best salon on their wedding day!

My sister and I had our hair and makeup done at Penzone for my wedding. Zuri, who did our hair, was fantastic! I didn’t do a trial because I’m from out of town, but she took the pictures I showed her and created a beautiful style that worked for my hair length/thickness. Both mine and my sister’s hair stayed all night and looked great in photos. She was also friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Zuri for wedding/event hair. Tyler did our makeup and we LOVED everything about the experience. I don’t know much about makeup but Tyler explained everything to me and helped me make decisions that would work for me. My sister and I have very different skin tones and personalities and Tyler customized the look for each of us and we were both thrilled. He also did my mom’s makeup which she loved. The makeup lasted all night and looked fantastic in pictures. Tyler is knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, and a real artist. We were so happy with our experience at Penzone and highly recommend the salon for any event.

I was totally lost when it came to wedding day makeup and the pros at Penzone’s made the experience so easy!! They coordinated appointments and paired me with an amazing makeup artist! The experience was completely stress free and at pricing that was much more reasonable than other vendors I was exploring. I will continue to use them for all special occasion makeup!!

I booked hair and makeup services for myself, my bridal party (4 women) and my mom. We had Stephanie and Kiki on hair (Kiki is my regular hairstylist and she is the most professional, thorough stylist I've ever had) and Harley on makeup. Each hairstyle suited the face shape and personal style of the women in my bridal party. The makeup also enhanced everyone's natural beauty without being too overpowering. I would highly recommend Penzone for your wedding party because they provide timely and high quality services and they are very professional. They made me feel beautiful and confident on my wedding day.

I am truly hoping that my bridal party’s experience is the exception and not the rule to how bridal parties are run through Penzone’s salons. I had picked Penzones as it is a top family of salons in the Columbus area, and knowing their work rather intimately I went into this with a high set of expectations that had some strong hits but some severe misses as well. I want to say first and foremost the professionals we worked with who provided the services were wonderful and created some beautiful looks for everyone they serviced. Staff in the salon were polite, welcoming and incredibly accommodating. If something needed fixed mid-service the professional was quick to correct and make the member happy. However, keep detailed notes and logs and request as much as possible in writing, the bridal coordinators had several missteps which caused a lot of additional and undue stress to an already stressful event. They did their best to try to correct where they could which helped lessen the sting to a degree of what went wrong through the booking processes. Due to scheduling mishaps we were promised the bridal suite but it was then booked out from under us due to them citing not being able to get ahold of me, which they should have utilized the backup contact information. We were booked with various professionals of a higher level than we requested but I had to have the email as a backup since it wasn’t notated well enough in the system as what we were promised. My rocky experience with booking through the bridal coordinators makes me hesitant to trust others to the Penzone brand and family of salons; overall I am happy with what looks were created but booking was such a nightmare and we were told more than once that whatever situation of ours was going to be used as a “coachable moment” that it turned into a broken record. Proceed with caution if going through the bridal teams.

The team was amazing! Athena and Melody did our wedding makeup on site at the hotel, and they were very attentive to everyone's needs and wishes. Lea and Bobbi are great coordinators! They respond promptly to all questions and are always willing to help! Couldn't have asked for a better experience or team!

My bridal party had our hair and make up done at the Dublin location. The staff was very friendly and everyone looked great! My mother had to have her hair redo three times, due to not liking initial attempts. Thankfully, we had plenty of time and it turned out beautiful. I went in without a trial run, and my stylist nailed it. Rates are a bit pricey, but all were happy with their looks.

I had bridal services at the Short North location and Penzone's was great from the beginning. The bridal coordinator, Bobbi, was very easy to contact and was able to put together a schedule for me, the bridal party, and our family to make sure everyone was done in the time frame I gave them. I personally had Kiki do my hair and Catalina do my make-up and they were both wonderful. Kiki is so friendly and it really put me at ease the morning of my wedding so I could actually start to enjoy my day. My hair stayed up all day and looks amazing in pictures. I brought Catalina three pictures to bring together to create my make-up look and she nailed it. Highly recommend the airbrush and their ability to provide this was part of the reason I went with them. My wedding party and family all looked great as well and I am very happy with how everything turned out!

I loved my hair and makeup! I received so many compliments on everything. Penzone was very accommodating to all of my concerns, and found any way to make my day more amazing. I ended up booking the bridal suite which I highly recommend, it was nice to have all of my friends together on the wedding day.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. They are so friendly and are able to adapt to changes in very short notice! Stephanie did my hair for my big day and did a phenomenal job! Cant wait to go back and enjoy their services again!

I got married on June 29th and went to the Polaris Penzone Spa for my hair and makeup with Tobey and Emily. I could not have been happier with the final product! They were both absolutely perfect at their respective roles, and I truly could not have asked for anything better on my wedding day. I did trial runs with them both and added a few modifications on my wedding day and they both executed everything perfectly. I truly could not have been happier with how it turned out!

Skye and Audra did a great job with my hair and make-up! They were very flexible and really wanted to make sure I looked the way I wanted for the big day. I was initially very hesitant about having my make-up done by someone else since I don't wear a ton of make-up, but Audra did a great job!

My hairstylist and makeup artist at the Short North location were incredible. Not only did they accommodate our early ceremony time, they made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life! I had fun with them and was able to relax and enjoy the start of the most special day ever. I definitely recommend!

My hair and makeup were FLAWLESS on my wedding day. I had my services completed at the Gahanna/New Albany location. Violet executed the exact hair style I wanted and placed my extensions perfectly for my big day. Gemma did a great job with the soft glam makeup look I was asking for. The airbrush makeup was an absolute must for my bridal party and I and I'm so glad we chose that option. Communication with the bridal services coordinators for date/times was so easy! Thank you so much for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day!

It’s rare when the entire bridal party hair and makeup looks amazing, but sure enough Penzone’s in the Short North made it happen. We had so much fun getting ready here and the stylists did an amazing job sticking to our tight schedule. We did hair and makeup at the location and everyone looked phenomenal. They were incredibly affordable too. Loved our experience!

We used Penzone for myself and my bridal party, and it was awesome! They gave me a schedule of everyone’s hair/makeup times throughout the day, and were very flexible with any changes that I had to make. My bridal party looked beautiful!!

Absolutely worth the money. My small group (mother, sister, and mother-in-law) had our hair and makeup done in the Short North location. We got there a bit early and enjoyed mimosas at the bar before our appointments started. I communicated with the bridal coordinators (Bobbi and Lea) primarily via email, and they were both very professional and responsive. They sent a PDF of the timeline, which was super useful to send to everyone in my group. My mother, mother-in-law, and sister all had excellent experiences with their stylists and makeup artists. They all looked amazing for the event, and we had a great time at the salon together. My hairstylist was Gwen, and she did an excellent job. She took my hair above and beyond what I had envisioned, and it stayed flawless all day, even after 2 hours of dancing! I got so many compliments. Also, Gwen is a total sweetheart, and she made the process so fun. We may have gone a few minutes over our timeline due to gabbing, but she put me at ease, and I'm so grateful. My makeup artist was Catalina, and she is a total professional. She kept us on track with the timeline gracefully and in a stress-free way. Her work is excellent: I have never looked prettier. I opted for the airbrush makeup, and I am glad I did. My skin looked flawless (which, for the record, it is not) all day. I'll be back in her chair for sure next time I need to look my best. I opted for both a hair and makeup trial a month ahead of time, and I am very glad I did. It was not cheap, in fact it cost the same as the day-of services (which makes sense, it's the same thing really). But I figured out which things wouldn't work day-of, and that was worth the peace of mind. Both Gwen and Catalina were excellent about my feedback, and the result? I looked gorgeous and was stress-free on my wedding day!

Loved both my trial hair and makeup and then final bridal makeup and updo- Spencer (hair) and Athena (makeup) are incredible and so fun to work with!

Overall, we had a very nice experience at The Penzone Salon in Dublin. A great, renovated location that works well for large groups like bridal parties. For my bridal hair I worked with Kendra. For our trial, she listened to what I was looking for my wedding day hair, my concerns, and reviewed examples of what I wanted and didn't want. She delivered! My hair was exactly what I wanted and received many compliments on my wedding day. For my bridal makeup I worked with Melanie. So fun! Again, we had a trial and she listed to what I was looking for my overall look and makeup, my concerns and reviewed examples of what I wanted and didn't want. It was just what I needed and lasted my entire wedding day. I'm so glad I got to work with Kendra and Melanie! Unfortunatley I did have a few hiccups that have to be noted. It was a little disorganized as one of our appointments on my list from the salon was missing from their computer's schedule. Just a little bit of stress. Luckily they were able to find someone what was available to do her hair and it ended up being what she wanted. Also, I would recommend to check your receipt before leaving the salon as the checkout person is most likely not the same person working with your group. Luckily I kept my receipt and after my wedding I noticed several errors/additional charges. After calling the salon, they corrected it for credit to my account (eg. I was charged for eyelash extensions when I had them done before I arrived at the salon). Overall, I would recommend Penzone with some attention to detail that can be worked out.

I booked the bridal suite and paid for hair and makeup for my bridesmaids as their gift. It was so much fun to have everyone in the same room and get ready with champagne and pastries! Mistee and Paisley did an amazing job on my hair and makeup, and it held up all day and was exactly what I wanted! It was a great experience and would choose to do the same thing again if I had it to do over!

I booked Penzone Salon & Spas Dublin for the bridal services for our October wedding, and I was, always will be, so happy with the results. Kendra was my hair stylist and Sophia was my makeup artist- both ladies were super friendly and did beautiful work. Unfortunately, I was a tad late to my appointments that day due to wedding jitters (haha!), but the entire salon staff, as well as Kendra & Sophia, were very understanding and accommodating. Kendra especially was very flexible and styled my hair differently (at my request) than my trial, and it came out amazing. I loved the texture and volume she gave my hair. Sophia was assigned to be my makeup artist after I didn't mesh well with my trial makeup artist, and I was so happy with that switch. My makeup was gorgeous! It lasted all day. I received so many compliments on it. It is truly one of my favorite parts of the day. So, all in all, I would definitely recommend both Kendra and Sophia to anyone and everyone. I had a great experience at the Short North location with Stephanie for my hair and Catalina for make-up. I did a trial with both for a friends wedding and they got my look exactly as I envisioned. I don't wear make-up on a day-to-day basis so I was a little worried that I wouldn't look like myself but Catalina did a phenomenal job and I was very comfortable with it! On the day of my wedding, I had my 3 bridesmaids with me. The salon did a great job of scheduling and rescheduling all of the appointments to make sure we were done in time. My hair and make-up turned out the same as they did during the trial! Both Stephanie and Catalina were amazing to work with and everyone was happy :)

I just want to say that Jillian did an AMAZING job with my hair, I absolutely LOVED it for our wedding! I did a trial a few months before and then completely changed it and she was able to run with it and make it perfect! Monroe did my makeup and it was beautiful as well. I can't have imagined going anywhere else. I booked the Grand Suite in Gahanna and had me, my 5 bridesmaids, and both mothers get either their hair or makeup done here. They got everything done quickly, while not sacrificing quality. I would highly recommend working with Charles Penzone. They also provided us with pastries and mimosas because we booked the Grand Suite, which was so nice, and it was all within our budget as well!

All in all, everything ended up beautifully with only a few hiccups along the way. We did on-site at the hotel hair and makeup. My hair stylist for the wedding cancelled the day before my trial so they set me up with someone new. This was ok, but my mom was supposed to have the trial with me and they didn't realize that so we couldn't have that day together and she was coming in from out of town. For the trial, we weren't completely satisfied with my look so when ended up booking another one once it got closer to the wedding. This time it turned out great and I felt much better. It was unfortunate to have to pay twice though. The day of the wedding, both hairstylists showed up on time but the makeup artist was late due to a parking situation. This pushed back our laid out schedule a bit and ended up making us late for our ubers. It ended up working out, but it was just rushed putting on the dress and running out the door, where I would've wanted some time with the photographer to capture nice moments without being as stressed. I had a lot of compliments on both my hair and makeup and they both lasted all day in the wind and cold.

We booked Charles Penzone for hair and makeup for the bride, bridesmaids, and the mother of the bride and groom on the day of the wedding. Even though we were 10 people, they handled everything perfectly and we actually finished ahead of schedule. The makeup and hair was gorgeous, everyone looked like models! Highly recommend.

I went with Penzone Dublin due to availability and to have enough artists/stylists to take care of my 8-person bridal party. Unfortunately, we paid for it. Overall, both my makeup artist and hair stylist were amazing to work with. My trial left me feeling good about my makeup (thanks Noelle!) but not so much with my hair. I was told that the style I wanted "just wouldn't work" due to my hair being too heavy and long so I told her to cut what she needed. Big mistake. I was charged $50 for a straight across dry cut. So I walked out with no inkling of what my hair would look like day of. God love Hanan because, in the end, she practiced the whole month prior and was able to find a way to make my hair look as similar to the photo as possible. It was gorgeous! I think my biggest complaint was that I had to pay FULL PRICE of both my hair and makeup for the trial ($160 + $50 "cut"= $210!). Then I had to turn around and pay for it again! The total bill for my hair and makeup plus my two maids of honor's makeup was $400+. The spa experience is great but just know you pay the spa prices.

I cannot say enough about our wonderful experience with hair and makeup. I was really nervous about getting my makeup done for the big day because I wanted to look like me and not a clown. I have had so many bad makeup jobs. I was recommended to Paisley who did the most amazing job on my makeup! It was soft and romantic - the exact look I was going for! I showed her a few Pinterest pics and she nailed it. I also loved Celeste who did my bridal hair. We played around during my test run and found something beautiful. The day of, I wanted to adjust the look slightly and she rolled with it and it ended up so beautiful. My girls all looked amazing as well, including my now stepdaughter. The stylist picked up that I wanted to hide the blue extension in her hair and she weaved it in perfectly so no one could see it. Thank you for making the day so special!

Mesha at the Gahanna/New Albany salon did my make up for my engagement photos and my wedding, and she did a fantastic job! She applied traditional make up and it was flawless. Lasted all day and night! I received so many compliments on my make up the day of the wedding. I highly recommend booking with Mesha for wedding make up!

My experience with Penzone in Gahanna was amazing! They were always quick to respond to any questions I had and were extremely accommodating to my requests and changes. I loved using the bridal suite to get all the girls ready at once and the complementary mimosas and pastries were just an amazing final touch. I would definitely recommend them to any bride in the area!

I am a regular Penzone customer for my hair and color services so it was a natural choice when it came to my wedding hair and make up. Kandice from the Polaris location did an amazing job on my hair (as per usual) and Sophia from the Dublin location did a wonderful job on my makeup, and I was grateful that she travelled to the Polaris location for my big day. I also had service for my bridesmaids and the girls came in with pictures of what they had in mind and their stylists were able to recreate those looks perfectly! I would definitely recommend Penzone salons for any bridal, and non-bridal, services.

I had a great experience here for my bridal services. I always get my hair done at Charles Penzone and have for years because they hire such talented individuals. They excel at all their other services as well! My makeup was exactly what I was looking for, we even tried 5 different lipsticks until we found the right one. My hair was beautiful. Every artist took into account what my vision was and worked with me to achieve it!

My husband and I are so grateful we chose Penzone over another caterer. Our initial caterer proved to be too unreliable, and Penzone stepped in and kind of saved the day for us. What ultimately sold us on Penzone was how professional and courteous they were. It saved us a lot of stress knowing that they were on site and taking care of business. On the day of the wedding, the staff even performed extra tasks that we forgot to ask help with. Very much recommend.

Makeup looked perfect! Make sure you come in with an idea of what you want. I did the airbrush makeup and it withstood the 90 degree humid weather! They even were able to get my maid of honor in for makeup last minute :)

My bridal party went to the Gahanna location on the morning of my wedding. They were able to create the style that everyone wanted. Jillian was my designer. She was wonderful. During my trial, we tried several styles and discovered that in order to create the look I wanted I would need extensions. She helped me figure out exactly what I needed to get and it turned out perfect.

I visited the Short North location and it was a great experience! I had 10 people in my party and they were very accommodating and timely in getting everyone's hair done. I also called last minute to schedule a nail appointment that same morning and they were able to do that as well while the other girls were getting their hair done. Maggie was my stylist and she did an excellent job. She took pictures and notes during my trial so the day of the wedding was a breeze and my hair turned out perfectly!

The staff at Charles Penzone did an amazing job with hair and makeup for my bridal party. All of our stylists were attentive to our needs and everyone looked absolutely stunning! The bridal department was very easy to work with and made all of my scheduling a breeze! Services were very affordable. I can not recommend Charles Penzone enough; specifically Kendra for hair and Harley for makeup- they made me feel and look so beautiful. I love these ladies! They all did such a wonderful job!! ( I had hair, nails and makeup done.) I ended up running late and they were so nice to switch my appointment times to make sure I could still fit in everything I wanted! Also, I got to meet Mr. Penzone!! What a cool experience! He was super nice!! As a sweet lay touch, CP gives a special gift to brides that I didn’t know about- a six pence for your shoe!! It came in a special little bag. I had considered the whole, “something old/blue/borrowed/new,” but didn’t pay attention to the fact that there is a last line. It was awesome to get that special gift from them!! What a great memory!! My bridesmaids, mother and mother in law all looked beautiful as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Charles Penzone Salons did hairstyles for myself, my mom, and my seven bridesmaids for my wedding in September. Everyone's hair was beautiful, but we had two logistical issues. Blake did a wonderful job with my hairstyle. I have fine hair that doesn't have natural volume, and I had never before had an updo that I loved. I took a chance and asked Blank to style my hair in a voluminous, romantic updo (with a trial before the wedding day). She exceeded my expectations and listened to my vision with attention to detail. I could tell that Blake is constantly learning new techniques and mastering her craft. My hair stayed in place perfectly, even with a headpiece that tied using a ribbon. Our major logistical issue was that a bridesmaid's hair appointment got canceled. I did have a large bridal party - and about a week before the wedding, I emailed the coordinator to cancel an appointment for the groom's mom (who unfortunately lost her hair the prior week in chemo treatments). Somehow, the coordinator cancelled a bridesmaid's appointment at the same time. I never got an amended schedule from the coordinator (just written confirmation that the mom's appointment was nixed), so I'm not sure whether I could have found the mistake beforehand. I went into instant panic mode when we realized this at the salon, but Blake came to the rescue (while she was doing my hair) and found another stylist. My advice to future brides would be to confirm your scheduled appointments over the phone or in person right before your wedding... I was disappointed that the coordinator didn't double check everything, since I did my part to triple check all communications. Our other issue was that one bridesmaid's hair took far longer than the 45 minute time slot allotted. She has long hair and asked for a certain style, but we both wish the stylist had told her it would take an hour and a half before committing. The bridesmaid would have modified or chosen another style if she'd known this. The instructions we got from Charles Penzone clearly state that hairstyles must be done in 45 minutes, so I hadn't imagined anyone could take way more time. The bridesmaid was late to pictures and that caused the photographer and me some stress. I would go back to Charles Penzone for my bridal party again, but I would put my maid of honor in charge of micromanaging the scheduling (even more so than I did myself) or had some of the bridesmaids do their own hair to simplify the process.

I had a great experience at the Salon in Dublin. As an out of town bride, the salon was able to accommodate me to have my trial 2 days before the wedding. Both Carrie (makeup) and Ivy (hair) did an amazing job. They were able to capture the look and feel for what I wanted to look like for the wedding. I would highly recommend!

We booked the bridal suite for our hair and makeup and the girls had such a great time! Everyone’s hair and makeup looked beautiful! Several girls in the bridal party commented that it was the best hair and makeup they have ever had!

Overall disappointed they made my appointment at 10 but it was supposed to be 9:30 Makeup made me look less ran Hair just put up its a good thing i had shampooed it and up do was tighter than desired But checkout process a nightmare as my son and his bride purchased gift card fir myself and mon but the cashier coundnt figure out how to redeem she said amounts not gound when they werebought day before Very embarrassing and almost made us late for limo She called soneone but no kne voukd figure out how to process cards We finally just left and made her figure it out We are not from Columbus but would nit recommend salon Its a shame because its so convenient to hotel and Short North

Shane at the Dublin Grand Salon did an amazing job on my wedding hair. I was a non-traditional bride and she understood my vision and executed it to perfection! You get the royal treatment at Charles Penzone and the Sixpence for my shoe was such a clever touch. Thank you for a great experience!

Not a bad experience overall. My trials went really well and I was obsessed with how they turned out. However, on the day of my wedding my makeup artist deviated from the trial and my airbrush makeup was waaaaaay to dark. It was time for me to leave to be at the church and she had to take it all off and redo it. She was rushing and I was super late so that was a big mess. I wish the day of would have gone as smoothly as the trial. For this reason I feel like I wasted my money on even doing the trial because the day of still wasn’t right. When she took off the makeup to redo it, she didn’t redo everything so there were a lot of blemishes I had to fix. This was the only fiasco on my wedding day but it was a pretty big one. I was really disappointed considering the amount of money I spent on trials and day of services.

We all had a great experience at Charles Penzone. We had a private space and the lunch that I purchased for all of my bridesmaids was wonderful. Our hair and makeup was perfect. Emerson did my hair, and it was wonderful!
