for my wedding day hair, my concerns, and reviewed examples of what I wanted and didn't want. She delivered! My hair was exactly what I wanted and received many compliments on my wedding day. For my bridal makeup I worked with Melanie. So fun! Again, we had a trial and she listed to what I was looking for my overall look and makeup, my concerns and reviewed examples of what I wanted and didn't want. It was just what I needed and lasted my entire wedding day. I'm so glad I got to work with Kendra and Melanie! Unfortunatley I did have a few hiccups that have to be noted. It was a little disorganized as one of our appointments on my list from the salon was missing from their computer's schedule. Just a little bit of stress. Luckily they were able to find someone what was available to do her hair and it ended up being what she wanted. Also, I would recommend to check your receipt before leaving the salon as the checkout person is most likely not the same person working with your group. Luckily I kept my receipt and after my wedding I noticed several errors/additional charges. After calling the salon, they corrected it for credit to my account (eg. I was charged for eyelash extensions when I had them done before I arrived at the salon). Overall, I would recommend Penzone with some attention to detail that can be worked out.

Unfortunately, I was a tad late to my appointments that day due to wedding jitters (haha!), but the entire salon staff, as well as Kendra & Sophia, were very understanding and accommodating. Kendra especially was very flexible and styled my hair differently (at my request) than my trial, and it came out amazing. I loved the texture and volume she gave my hair. Sophia was assigned to be my makeup artist after I didn't mesh well with my trial makeup artist, and I was so happy with that switch. My makeup was gorgeous! It lasted all day. I received so many compliments on it. It is truly one of my favorite parts of the day. So, all in all, I would definitely recommend both Kendra and Sophia to anyone and everyone. I was a little worried that I wouldn't look like myself but Catalina did a phenomenal job and I was very comfortable with it! On the day of my wedding, I had my 3 bridesmaids with me. The salon did a great job of scheduling and rescheduling all of the appointments to make sure we were done in time. My hair and make-up turned out the same as they did during the trial! Both Stephanie and Catalina were amazing to work with and everyone was happy :)

and it was beautiful as well. I can't have imagined going anywhere else. I booked the Grand Suite in Gahanna and had me, my 5 bridesmaids, and both mothers get either their hair or makeup done here. They got everything done quickly, while not sacrificing quality. I would highly recommend working with Charles Penzone. They also provided us with pastries and mimosas because we booked the Grand Suite, which was so nice, and it was all within our budget as well!

, but my mom was supposed to have the trial with me and they didn't realize that so we couldn't have that day together and she was coming in from out of town. For the trial, we weren't completely satisfied with my look so when ended up booking another one once it got closer to the wedding. This time it turned out great and I felt much better. It was unfortunate to have to pay twice though. The day of the wedding, both hairstylists showed up on time but the makeup artist was late due to a parking situation. This pushed back our laid out schedule a bit and ended up making us late for our ubers. It ended up working out, but it was just rushed putting on the dress and running out the door, where I would've wanted some time with the photographer to capture nice moments without being as stressed. I had a lot of compliments on both my hair and makeup and they both lasted all day in the wind and cold.

ft me feeling good about my makeup (thanks Noelle!) but not so much with my hair. I was told that the style I wanted "just wouldn't work" due to my hair being too heavy and long so I told her to cut what she needed. Big mistake. I was charged $50 for a straight across dry cut. So I walked out with no inkling of what my hair would look like day of. God love Hanan because, in the end, she practiced the whole month prior and was able to find a way to make my hair look as similar to the photo as possible. It was gorgeous! I think my biggest complaint was that I had to pay FULL PRICE of both my hair and makeup for the trial ($160 + $50 "cut"= $210!). Then I had to turn around and pay for it again! The total bill for my hair and makeup plus my two maids of honor's makeup was $400+. The spa experience is great but just know you pay the spa prices.

to Paisley who did the most amazing job on my makeup! It was soft and romantic - the exact look I was going for! I showed her a few Pinterest pics and she nailed it. I also loved Celeste who did my bridal hair. We played around during my test run and found something beautiful. The day of, I wanted to adjust the look slightly and she rolled with it and it ended up so beautiful. My girls all looked amazing as well, including my now stepdaughter. The stylist picked up that I wanted to hide the blue extension in her hair and she weaved it in perfectly so no one could see it. Thank you for making the day so special!

It came in a special little bag. I had considered the whole, “something old/blue/borrowed/new,” but didn’t pay attention to the fact that there is a last line. It was awesome to get that special gift from them!! What a great memory!! My bridesmaids, mother and mother in law all looked beautiful as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

doesn't have natural volume, and I had never before had an updo that I loved. I took a chance and asked Blank to style my hair in a voluminous, romantic updo (with a trial before the wedding day). She exceeded my expectations and listened to my vision with attention to detail. I could tell that Blake is constantly learning new techniques and mastering her craft. My hair stayed in place perfectly, even with a headpiece that tied using a ribbon. Our major logistical issue was that a bridesmaid's hair appointment got canceled. I did have a large bridal party - and about a week before the wedding, I emailed the coordinator to cancel an appointment for the groom's mom (who unfortunately lost her hair the prior week in chemo treatments). Somehow, the coordinator cancelled a bridesmaid's appointment at the same time. I never got an amended schedule from the coordinator (just written confirmation that the mom's appointment was nixed), so I'm not sure whether I could have found the mistake beforehand. I went into instant panic mode when we realized this at the salon, but Blake came to the rescue (while she was doing my hair) and found another stylist. My advice to future brides would be to confirm your scheduled appointments over the phone or in person right before your wedding... I was disappointed that the coordinator didn't double check everything, since I did my part to triple check all communications. Our other issue was that one bridesmaid's hair took far longer than the 45 minute time slot allotted. She has long hair and asked for a certain style, but we both wish the stylist had told her it would take an hour and a half before committing. The bridesmaid would have modified or chosen another style if she'd known this. The instructions we got from Charles Penzone clearly state that hairstyles must be done in 45 minutes, so I hadn't imagined anyone could take way more time. The bridesmaid was late to pictures and that caused the photographer and me some stress. I would go back to Charles Penzone for my bridal party again, but I would put my maid of honor in charge of micromanaging the scheduling (even more so than I did myself) or had some of the bridesmaids do their own hair to simplify the process.

For this reason I feel like I wasted my money on even doing the trial because the day of still wasn’t right. When she took off the makeup to redo it, she didn’t redo everything so there were a lot of blemishes I had to fix. This was the only fiasco on my wedding day but it was a pretty big one. I was really disappointed considering the amount of money I spent on trials and day of services.

ing my makeup done I was getting a sales pitch. I felt like I was at a mall, not a hair salon. I'm sure they get commissions, but I was there for my big day, not to buy makeup. I will admit they made me look and feel beautiful so I may go back, but don't try to get sales while you're doing a bridal parties makeup. It was rude. Also, being the bride my hair needed to look amazing and last ALL day. Yet I was placed with a stylist who hasn't worked there a year compared to someone with more seniority. My hair looked good, but it wasn't great. The veil was put in incorrectly and was pulling on my do which my bridesmaids had to fix later and my curls came out before we even left for the ceremony which my girls tried to fix. Lastly, there needs to be a note about the charges for hair because when we booked our appointment we were scheduled with stylists, but when we went to pay we were charged more. One girl who only had curls done was charged more than a girl who had an up-do done. The salon fixed everything, but we should have been forewarned that the price could be higher. I told my girls $60 each and then they're getting charged $75. That makes me look bad and the salon too. Overall everyone's makeup looked amazing! Kudos there. Hair looked great on some, but mine & another's needed fixed. I do appreciate making us feel valued and welcomed. Also thank you for fixing the pricing on the hair and it was nice meeting the owner, plus receiving compliments. I gave 4 stars because it wasn't an awful experience, but it wasn't stellar either.

roviding the copy of the schedule provided by the bridal coordinator, she was told that "someone must have cancelled the appointment and that only an administrator could cancel it out of the system" My mother in law had a similar situation at the Dublin Grand Salon the same day. I'm not sure if there was a major system issue, but in the end both of them were taken care of. The salon did discount my matron of honor's services and I appreciated the gesture. One other small thing that irked me: My make up artist was more than 15 minutes late for my appointment and no one gave me a heads up she was running behind. I had to seek someone out to find out where she was. The whole experience just seemed so impersonal. If I was doing it over again, I would select a different salon.

and Cameron for the make-up! I did the trial with both of them and not only are they super friendly, they are amazing at their jobs! Hayden did my up-do in 45 minutes and not only was it super comfortable and secure, it was even better than it was in the trial! It also stayed in tact for a full 9 hours and only started to slip a tiny bit after a very vigorous bout on the dance floor. Cameron did my makeup flawlessly! Everything stayed looking perfectly fresh all through out the day and until the end of the reception. Surviving hours of photos in the sun and of dancing. It was also great that they whole bridal party was able to get their hair/makeup done in the same time frames so it only took 2 hours to get all eight of us ready. They also offer complimentary coffee/tea and is set in a very relaxing atmosphere!

and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend their services at the Gahanna location.

ad plenty of time to get my services done. Jodi (my regular hairstylist) is incredible--she came in just to do my hair that day since she doesn't normally work on Sundays. Alia was also wonderful as a makeup artist--I highly recommend the airbrush makeup since it stayed put perfectly all the way through the ceremony, reception, and afterparty! The trial services were also a great idea because we were able to work out some kinks and make decisions so the day-of was stress free. My mother, mother-in-law and aunt also had wonderful experiences that day and looked beautiful. I would highly recommend Charles Penzone to anybody--their bridal team makes all the planning so easy, they can do anything you need (I just had hair and makeup but they offer everything from lash extensions to spray tans), and their services are so fantastic!

aden did the bridal makeup and, at the risk of sounding conceited, made me look amazing. Olivia did the bridal hair and it looked even better than the photos on my Pinterest board! I would highly recommend working with Charles Penzone on your wedding day. You will have great results and the process will be so easy and fun!

me in on her day off just for me! I saw Lindsay for my makeup, and she was just great as well! I only had 2 bridesmaids, both of which got updo's. Both of their hair looked great and we all loved it! My only complaint would be that the lady who was supposed to do my 1 bridesmaid's makeup was running behind, and we were not informed until it was already about 20 minutes past her appointment time. Luckily, Lauren was looking for her to put a few flowers in her hair, and brought her up to us with Lindsay. Lindsay quickly finished me and did her makeup as well, instead of the other lady who was originally supposed to do it. It was lucky that we drove separate, so this worked out well, and maybe even better since I know Lindsay and know she does a great job, but had we not driven separately and were on more of a time crunch, this could've caused problems. Overall, I am very happy with my wedding day experience at Charles Penzone's, and it wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the amazing ladies I had the pleasure of working with, Lindsay and Lauren! Thanks!

Furthermore, on the day of the wedding I had 8 bridesmaids and my mom who needed hair done and the salon was so accommodating in making sure we had enough stylists to get everyone done on time. So I was completely worry free!

I told her a few things I didn't like and she did a great job fixing them to exactly what I was looking for. She was very nice and professional and helped start my wedding day on a positive note. After make-up I was moved to Peyton's station to start my hair. As soon as I sat down I was nervous about how it would turn out. I thought we were on the same page when I left my trial a few weeks before and that she understood what I was looking for, but she seemed to forget everything that we talking about. I can understanding that she sees a lot of clients but it would have been nice if she would have jotted down some notes from our trial in order to remember our conversation. Regardless, I showed her a YouTube video of the exact hair style I was looking for. The woman in the video showed you how to complete the look from start to finish. Just for reference, I was looking for a high curly bun that was very full and voluminous. I also had a headband that she needed to pin in. I brought clip in hair extensions to help make the bun full since I don't have extremely thick hair. she started with putting my hair up in a high pony tail to place where the bun would go. Unfortunately, most of my appointment was spent trying to get my headband pinned to my head. At one point she told me that there was no way for her to get the strings covered up because I didn't have enough hair. Luckily, my sister was there and suggested she take the hair down from the sides to cover the band. This method worked perfectly. Once the headband was finally in its place she started on the bun. She only ended up using two hair extension wefts out of the 10 that I brought. This did not create the full bun that I was looking for. Sadly, the headband issue took so much of the appointment that we were extremely pressed for time. I had to leave with a bun that was much smaller than what I was looking for. My bridesmaids also got their hair done. They each spent $60+ on their updos and two of them were falling out by the time we got back to the hotel (30 mins after the appointments). Both of those girls got their hair done by Betzy. To clarify, we didn't walk through a wind tunnel or do anything that would help ruin the style, they were just completed very poorly. I actually had to call my husband's cousin to come to the hotel to help salvage the girl's hair and help make mine look a little fuller. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed with the way the hair turned out for my wedding. I was very upset when I got back to the hotel to get ready. I am thankful that my husband's cousin was able to come to the rescue and fix my hair so that I felt beautiful on my big day. I decided to give an overall rating of 2 stars only because of Emily. She did such a great job on my make-up. I was very impressed with how focused she was on what I wanted. The make-up also lasted all night despite it being an outdoor wedding in July! I definitely recommend Emily for bridal makeup. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the hair. I hope other people have better luck in that department on their wedding day

Both my hair and makeup survived the entire wedding day and I got so many compliments about my look. My junior bridesmaids were excited to try different services and the staff were happy to oblige. s exactly what I envisioned. Noelle is a fantastic make up artist. My make up looked very natural but still glamorous. I would highly recommend these two!

ridesmaid's makeup really did a bad job. She spent about a quarter of the time on the makeup as the other artists did, did not listen to my friend, and made my pretty young friend look like a mean old lady. I got the vibe the other artists even thought it was bad. My friend ended up washing off her makeup and doing her own. At $100/person, it should be much better and the artist should spend more than 10 minutes on the makeup!

They even gave me a sixpence for my shoe as a gift the day of my wedding. We had bagels and drinks in the bridal room for in between appointments. It was a great way to start a stressful day.

up do done by Tessa and it was gorgeous! I went in for my up do trial and told her what I was thinking. She was able to do exactly what I wanted and then replicate it on my wedding day! Overall, I always have a fantastic time at this salon!

I visited the grand salon at Polaris with my mother and sister for our nails appointments this was very convenient for all of us to sit together the manager came in several times to check on us and offered beverages, she was amazing. For my actual wedding day my whole bridal party was at the grand salon in Gahanna. The bridal suite was amazing! My photographers even mentioned how perfect the room was with set up and lighting. The manager had everything set up perfectly and the coordinator was on top of every ones appointment times. I would highly recommended any of the Charles Penzone locations they have extraordinary customer service and the professionals are fabulous!

and add services throughout my entire planning process, even the day of the wedding. I had a hair trial with Mika, my mom's hair stylist for many years, and a makeup trial with Jaden. I brought in pictures of what I did and did not want for hair and makeup and Mika and Jaden listened and made changes to the styles they were trying until we figured out exactly what I wanted. I went the day before my wedding to have a pedicure with Cheriese and she was great. They were even able to put my mom and I in the same room for our pedicures which was wonderful. As for my day of services, Heidi did my gelcolor manicure and she was wonderful even when we had the light break halfway through the manicure. She was able to quickly fix the polish and keep me on schedule. Jaden was perfection with my makeup and lash application. She listened to the few changes I wanted from my trial and did a really beautiful job. Mika did a great job with my updo and it stayed in place all day. My stylists all really cared about my wedding and would stop by while I was at different stations to see how things were progressing. They really made me feel special and beautiful on my wedding day. The morning of everyone was efficient with their time while still being relaxed which really helped me feel less anxious. We had myself, 5 bridesmaids, my mom, mother in law, and sister in law all getting various hair, nails, and makeup services. Everyone began on time and we stayed almost perfectly on schedule. We had one minor issue with the bridesmaid's billing, but it was resolved quickly and we were only about 10 minutes late getting out of the salon. The one negative thing about Penzones is the price, but I find the quality to be worth it.

Andrea even drove our cars around in the POURING rain so we wouldn't ruin our hair or makeup! Amazing service!
