I typically refrain from writing negative reviews, but I believe it’s important to share our experience so others can make an informed decision.
Our photography package included an engagement shoot and wedding day coverage. The engagement photos turned out beautifully, although they were delivered two weeks later than promised. We appreciated the quality and enjoyed working with Christopher, so we chose to overlook the delay.
On our wedding day, both photographers—Christopher and Javier—were professional and brought a positive energy to the event. We were prepared with a shot list, which helped ensure certain moments were captured, though we had expected that many standard shots would be covered without direction, given the team's experience and the investment we made.
Per our contract, we were to receive 700+ edited wedding photos within two weeks of the event. However, it took six weeks to receive what appeared to be only the secondary photographer’s images. Several important moments—such as the first look, bridal party shots, and group family portraits—were missing, all of which had been taken from Christopher’s camera. Despite being told the missing photos would be sent promptly, it took several additional weeks and multiple follow-ups before we finally received the full gallery—10 weeks after the wedding.
While we did end up receiving more photos than the contract guaranteed, the delayed communication and repeated need for follow-up created unnecessary stress. Ultimately, the quality of the photos was strong, but the lack of adherence to timelines and responsiveness during the delivery process was disappointing.
It has taken me 7 months to write this review, mainly because I hate to leave a bad review, but I would also hate someone else to have a similar experience. We spoke with several photographers and ultimately decided to go with A Perfect Frame/Chris. Leading up to signing our contract and paying our invoice (in full) he was great at promptly communicating and we were all on the same stylistic page. Once we booked it felt as though his communication completely changed. My emails went unanswered, at which point I resorted to texting. For reference we planned our wedding in 3 months, this wasn’t a long timeline where response time could be longer. Fast forward to wedding day when he arrived in a ball cap, that he proceed to wear for the entire day. Not only a ball cap but a green ball cap. I had asked every person in attendance to wear shades of blue, I had told Chis that he and the second shooter were also welcome to wear blue if they didn’t want to do the standard black, after the wedding a staggering number of people asked about/commented on the hat. We had made a timeline because I had wanted all photos to be done before the ceremony, little did I know that I needed to make him a shot list… one would assume that I would get a photo of just myself and my parents during a “family photos” chunk of time, but no such luck. I felt like I continuously had to direct photos to make sure I was getting the shots that I wanted… even though I had sent a Pinterest board that included photos taken at our venue.
Our contract included a “next day sneak peek album” which we never received. I waited 5 days to see any photos, at which point we received our whole gallery. Since that was supposed to be a 2-4 week turnaround time, we can only assume our photos were uploaded but not edited. The package we purchased also included an engagement shoot. Chris offered to switch to a maternity shoot and scheduled it for a few months after the wedding. I attempted to confirm and make arrangements for a location. Chris’s response was he would get back to me “asap” due to the recent hurricanes. He ghosted me and couldn’t even be bothered to cancel. He also couldn’t be bothered to mail the physical photo album included in our package. We had to repeatedly ask for it, to which he reported it had been ordered and it must be a problem with the company, except that after 6 months of asking it was finally shipped from Chris himself via a UPS location locally.
The level of professionalism was unforgivable and is what this rating is based on. I will also comment that we were very disappointed in our photos and do not feel that they are of the same quality as the work we saw and booked off of.
We're glad we got to work with Perfect Frame for our wedding in May 2024! We loved their professionalism, understanding of our vision, and execution on the big day. The photos came out great and the wedding video deserves a Chef's Kiss! We're so proud to share both with family and friends!

The consultation and booking process with Christopher was so easy, seamless and we appreciated his transparency - this helped us feel confident in the team. He was quick to respond, jumped on multiple calls, and was flexible with putting together a package that would work with our budget. We are so excited to have them document our wedding day based off of their amazing portfolio!
