During our planning call, a week before the wedding, David informed us that the carefully adjusted layout for cocktail party-esque backyard wedding on our planning app (VIBO) was “a total mess and clearly a mistake”. When we informed him it was intentional, he seemed almost insulted that we weren’t having a “traditional” wedding. He told us this layout was likely to be a mess, especially since we didn’t have a wedding planner. On the day of the wedding, we had a few hiccups only we knew that slightly delayed a few of our “wedding milestones”, like the party entrances. David, while helpful in creating an adjusted plan on the fly, was more than happy to point out that he knew this would happen - multiple times! He also pushed for us to purchase other items during our planning call (a week before the wedding), like up-lighting or a photo booth, which we declined because it was, well, a week before the wedding. He pointed out during the wedding when he thought the up-lighting would have been necessary. 2. Uncommunicative. David was clear that DJing is his side gig. The week of the wedding, I used his preferred method of contact (email) to follow up on a few questions, like power for his equipment. Because we had this wedding in my parents’ backyard, my dad wanted David to give him a call about power needs. David never responded until the night before and morning of the wedding. Obviously, because of this timing, my dad was otherwise engaged. David called and texted me instead, blaming my dad for not answering and expressing his concern for the power supply. Though he had had plenty of time to speak to my dad about this, he chose arguably the most stressful: the morning of our wedding. 3. Negative. After the first planning call I let my mom (whose house was the venue) know we didn’t have full confidence in our DJ’s ability to pull off this wedding layout. She decided to call the DJ directly to gently clear up an confusion - except, on the vendor contact sheet I’d created for the wedding, I had John’s information. So she called him instead. When John told David that she had reached out, David was pissed - thinking we had intentionally gone over his head. He was unable to let this go. 4. Messed Up Our First Dance Song. This really angered my now-husband and guests. David didn’t download this song so it would play properly. Instead, he streamed it using my parents’ wifi and it crashed. Twice. Once the first dance was over, he immediately apologized, to his credit, but then blamed my dad for the wifi crash - though this was the only song to crash. Why he used my parents’ wifi instead of his failsafe hotspot, I’ll never know. A final note as well, unrelated to David. The day after our wedding, John reached out to my mom and me and shared that “after many attempts to contact us”, we hadn’t made our final payment. Except I had, three weeks prior. While John explained that this was a clerical error, he has yet to actually apologize. Thankfully, despite what was mentioned above, David played most of the music we had spent ten months adding to the planning app and the dance floor was still lively. Except for the first dance song, no one knew any of this. Overall, we had a BLAST at our wedding and wouldn’t have changed a thing. Except the DJ.

he event which was amazing. I had the package that comes with the photo booth - it was one of my favorite parts of the wedding. You are able to pick what photo strip design you want and get all of the pictures back afterwards. Guests said it's one of the best photo booths they've seen. DJ Sy is amazing. He was so much fun to work with and really understood what we were looking for in a DJ. Everyone at Perfect Harmony Entertainment was great to work with.

ead the room perfectly. Our family & friends were all dancing on the dance floor. I had no idea we could have that much fun. It was really special because it’s so hard to get everyone in one place and also have a good time. I was also worried about having different portions of our event in different rooms in our venue, but it was no problem. We had music and mics wherever we needed them. Everything was seamless. The sound quality of the mics were so smooth, I thought it would be much more awkward reading my vows, but my own voice sounded ok and didn’t make me more nervous. The app was a major selling point for us. We could just enter the timing, programming, and songs that we wanted and directly upload things to the app. We only needed a short conversation before the wedding to clear up any details. I was expecting more logistical conversations, but John had everything handled! My partner and I are both musically inclined, so getting music and sound were very important. Thank you John!

I asked him to, transitioned from song to song so smoothly, and encouraged everyone to get up and dance. He kept our reception alive from the moment it started until the very last song. He was able to read the room adjust the music accordingly to keep everyone involved and excited. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding!

ble 1. Poor execution during ceremony causing “dead quiet air”. (Told me he would replay the songs to make sure there wasn’t dead air) 2. Took way too many requests even though I told him during our prep call to not take many request 3. Played maybe 10-20% of our playlist. Another thing we told him to do was to make sure the playlist we made was played and now our hard work went to waste. I get DJs okay songs outside of playlist but having almost 80% of the reception being outside the playlist was insane 4. All the songs he did play were remixes which made it harder for our guests to dance 5. HE MESSED UP THE FIRST DANCE SONG. HE PLAYED A REMIX OF THE SONG. Honestly don’t know how that was messed up because we put it all in the app. It made it incredibly awkward for us when we had to get our coordinator to go to him to say it was the wrong version of the song. Those are the main points and honestly with how much we paid it just missed the mark on almost all places. He was really nice and I thought we were on the same page but I guess I was wrong there.

inator's emails/texts. During our planning meeting and brief phone calls, he continually pronounced bridal party names incorrectly, even after I corrected him. There was some hesitation with the type of microphone that my officiant requested. It came across as though he didn't want us to use the lavalier mic because it was more work for him. Once the day of the wedding came, he seemed to have a better attitude. He did pronounce the bridal party names correctly, but I had asked my wedding coordinator to review with him beforehand. Overall, working with John was fantastic but the DJ we were assigned, made things more difficult and casted a negative light over the entire thing.

The last song of the night was one of those epic events where everyone formed a circle around the couple and sang along. al DJ for the wedding. Throughout a few months of emailing and keeping in touch, he was always super supportive and never took offense to me being a little wishy-washy if I was going to book or not. I am SO glad I was able to, though!! Elliot was an AMAZING DJ! The process of choosing our songs with the app was super easy. I was able to add any songs that weren't listed as options, but the options already there made it easy to choose songs I probably wouldn't have thought of on my own! Elliot helped everything run so smoothly and did a great job of balancing playing the songs on my playlist but also taking requests from my guests! What my guests loved the most is that he played songs guests requested next so they didn't have to wait. We talked about that beforehand too, so he knew I was okay with that! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ at our wedding! :)

DJ Saeed was awesome the day-of, from the songs played to the coordination of things. Not to mention that they are reasonably priced. I highly recommend Perfect Harmony Entertainment.

best aspects of working with John is his flexibility and willingness to cater to our desired setup. Our wedding didn’t involve a ton of dancing, but John gave us exactly what we wanted in terms of his involvement. John was a great guy and a total pro and anyone in the market for a DJ would be crazy not to reach out.
