Gretchen helped us with our honeymoon to St. Lucia in 2011, then more recently, our anniversary trip- a Rhine River cruise in Europe! She's amazing and friendly, and gets the information needed!

Gretchen is so amazing, helpful and knowledgeable. We have used her to plan so many of our vacations. Starting with our 25th anniversary trip to Jamaica, to Hawaii for our 30th with 9 of of us, then to Mexico this summer to celebrate our 40th with an additional 13 of our children, their spouses and our grandchildren. A few other great destinations sprinkled in between. She has sent us to some awesome resorts and recommends excursions and places to explore. She always keeps us informed and returns call within a reasonable time. She demands perfection from the resorts and has worked things out to everyone’s satisfaction when some issues have arisen. She is our go to for all our big trips. Our daughters and other family members now use Gretchen for their trips and I will continue to highly recommend her to others.

This is the first time I have worked with Gretchen and perfect honeymoons. Gretchen’s professionalism and knowledge exceeded my expectations. It was the first time we have traveled to Italy. For 2 1/2 weeks we were in Rome, the Amalfi coast, and Tuscany. Gretchen made sure the hotels and transportation were specific due to the fact, my husband had knee surgery two weeks before our trip. The only thing I would do different is spend more time in Florence and Rome and less time in the Amalfi coast. We stayed in Positano for six days. If I could do it over again I would stay in Sorrento ( as this was Gretchen‘s recommendation during the planning process of our trip, but I was dead set on Positano )and take the ferry to Positano for a day or two. I am so thankful Gretchen took care of all the details that never would occur to me. One example is we arrived in Rome at 8 o’clock in the morning and check in for our hotel wasn’t until four. It never occurred to me to reserve the room for the night before so I could actually get cleaned up take a nap and start my vacation.

We have been using Gretchen at Perfect Honeymoons for many years. She has sent us to Hawaii, Jamaica, and Mexico. She is so friendly and professional. She knows so much about all of the destinations and has great ideas on how to make the best out of a trip. If she doesn't know an answer, she will find out! I look forward to booking many more trips with Gretchen.

We absolutely loved the itinerary Steve put together for us and the hotels he placed us in were fantastic. Pre booked transfers between travel and hotels were a nice treat. It seemed like they were very busy so response times were sometimes slow, but it all worked out beautifully. Would definitely recommend if you want a stress free honeymoon planning experience. They even had an app preloaded with every step of our travel itinerary which helped both of our peace of mind!

We have used Gretchen to plan several of our trips, most recently a 3-week trip across Greece and Europe. She seamlessly organized stays in 10 different cities/hotels, transportation, private drivers between hotels and airports, tours/tour guides, reservations, the list goes on. Every detail was planned out perfectly. She also had great recommendations of how long to stay in different places, where to stay, what to do, and hooked it up in some faaabulous hotels. Using Perfect Honeymoons was amazing!! We had everything planned out for us down to the rides everywhere. My wife and I recently returned from the most wonderful, unforgettable, and moving trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe, and none of it would have been possible if it wasn’t for Perfect Honeymoons, Gretchen and a whole lotta of her patience. When we got married in 2019, I convinced my then-fiancée, now-wife that waiting a year to do the honeymoon was obviously the most logical thing to do. In hindsight, probably some of the worst decision making I have made in our marriage (so far). After emerging from the spring of 2020 with a newfound appreciation for hand sanitizer and disdain for video conferences, we decided we now definitely needed something to look forward to. We reached out to a few different travel agents, one of which was Gretchen and right off the bat, we knew Gretchen was the perfect fit for us. She took the time to understand what we like to do, were interested in, etc. rather than telling us what she would do - something common from others Gretchen truly made us feel safe, another thing that felt particularly unique given everything else going on. We felt safe that we could ask any questions no matter how silly, safe that she would set up a trip that was exactly what we wanted without going outside of our budget, and safe that our trip was going to be one we never forgot. In fact, I think the only time that Gretchen rocked the boat was when she talked about her prior trips to Africa which led us to abandon our plans to go to Italy and instead go there – something I am so glad we decided to do. In the lead up to the trip, Gretchen meticulously worked through our itinerary and nit-picky feedback to develop a fine-tuned trip that allowed us to do everything we knew we wanted to do, plus many things we hadn’t yet realized we would love, but that Gretchen already knew we would. We were then briefed thoroughly on logistical expectations (i.e., what to pack, what not to pack, what forms would be needed, etc.) but also on little snippets that she had picked up from all of her trips previously that we remembered when we were there – her recommendation to try biltong has now led to a full on addiction on my end. When we finally headed out on the trip, some two years after we had originally contacted Gretchen, we were able to be free from any questions related to planning, and instead able to focus purely on being present in the moment and taking in all that Africa had to offer us. We had a handy little booklet that Gretchen had put together that told us exactly where we needed to be and at what time, but still had so much flexibility built in so that we could still feel freedom to do whatever we wanted. To be clear, the fact that it took two years was not down to Gretchen, but down to us. We waited to ensure the timing was right on our end, and Gretchen never was upset or pushy about that. In fact, while we weren’t ready for that trip just yet, she actually planned a trip for us to go to Mexico for a week; a very different trip, but also very enjoyable. When it came to our honeymoon, we felt pressure to ensure that we were going to have this once in a lifetime experience, and that no matter how much online research we did, we were going to fall short. By reaching out to Perfect Honeymoons and Gretchen, the only reason we didn’t get a once in a lifetime experience is because the trip was so perfect that we know we will have to go and do it all again. Susan and Gretchen were such a big help with our honeymoon, I don't know if we would have gotten through everything without them. They picked great destinations for us to choose from and worked within our price range. Then when the day finally came, they were instrumental in getting us to our destination when the airline canceled our flight. They were always right on top of everything that we needed, so we're so grateful we found them. We'll definitely use them again for future travel.

My husband and I used Gretchen for our honeymoon and were also moving states and planning a wedding all in 2 months. Her service was so patient and incredible especially due to the fact we were all over the place in where we wanted to go she was incredibly helpful with suggestions and understanding our desires. We finally landed on a spot domestically in Hawaii because my husband had no passport and it was 5 days before we said I do. Gretchen managed to book all our hotels, car rental, activities, flights and dining in a matter of days before we left. Not only that but we also changed our minds and wanted to stay in another location midway through the honeymoon simply to get a new environment as we hadn’t thought through our timing very well. As frustrating as this process could be Gretchen helped us with the biggest kindest smile on her face to make sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. I'm usually one that plans, researches and books my own trips, but during a pandemic and planning a wedding, we decided it was best to leave this to the professionals. We wanted something out of this world. We wanted to be somewhat unique and not do what everyone else does. It was for our Honeymoon and we wanted a "Go Big or Go Home" luxury vacation.... and Jim was our guy that delivered exactly that! Every suggestion he gave was 110% spot on! We spent an amazing 7 nights at the Four Seasons Bora Bora and then an incredible 4 nights at The Brando!!! Let me tell you, the Four Seasons is very well known for their luxury accommodations, attentive staff and amazing cuisine... but even going into the resort knowing that, they still far exceeded any expectations we had prior. It was soooo good, we didn't want to leave to go to our next destination, which was at The Brando on it's own private island. I'll be honest, it was hard to find any information about The Brando and we only booked it cause Jim assured us that this place would knock our socks off. Researching we really didn't see it, but decided to give it a try and booked 4 nights. Let me tell you how incredibly sad we were that we didn't book more nights! Spectacular is such an understatement!!! So just put all your trust in Jim's recommendations...he truly knows what he's doing. There wasn't a single hiccup and he thought about everything. Including thinking ahead for our long layover in Tahiti before our flight to Bora-Bora. So he arranged a driver to show us all around Tahiti and recommended a fabulous lunch spot that was the perfect start to our incredible Honeymoon. He also arranged us a nice, romantic dinner at La Villa Mahana. He said he talked with the owner and got us the best table! We really didn't know what that meant, but when we got there, we had the best table there!!! It was so romantic, sitting up in the highest spot with romantic candles and champagne. The food and the people were amazing. We honestly had the best experience using Jim. The only two negatives that we took away from this "out of this world" Honeymoon, was we didn't stay long enough at The Brando. That place is such a hidden wonder and I truly enjoyed exploring the island and learning so much about all the wildlife and how that island is a private sanctuary for so many. It truly is magical!!! And the second negative was this Honeymoon completely ruined us for future travels lol It's going to be so hard going back to vacationing like we usually do. But all joking aside, trust his recommendations, he won't steer you wrong. I look forward to working with Jim again for a future trip.

This is long over due, but Gretchen was amazing to work with for our honeymoon! My husband and I had never worked with a travel agent before our honeymoon, but will use Gretchen for all of our future trips! From the first time I contacted Gretchen, throughout the planning process and even when we got home from our honeymoon she was very knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. Our honeymoon to French Polynesia was postponed due to COVID, but Gretchen kept us in the loop the whole time and made our whole honeymoon experience so easy! We can't say enough how valuable Gretchen has been to our honeymoon planning. We started planning our honeymoon a year before we went, and had frequent hour long discussions with Gretchen until she helped us put together our perfect honeymoon. Unfortunately as everyone knows, covid came. Yet that didn't deter Gretchen. Her mission was to give us a PERFECT honeymoon. She helped us replan multiple scenarios, never getting weary. Despite the multiple restrictions in place, we finally found an even better honeymoon for us. What makes Gretchen even more special is that she doesn't just stop helping you once your booked. She stayed in touch with us till the flight, on the trip, through several complications that we faced, and even after our honeymoon. She's even just great to talk to on the phone -- we learned a lot! She has not only planned our perfect honeymoon, but she plans our perfect vacations too. We could not recommend Gretchen more highly and can't wait for our friendship to continue into the future.

We've worked with Jim and Perfect Honeymoons in the past (including for our honeymoon!) but it's never been more important to have an attentive, customer focused, and capable travel agent than during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our trip to Rosewood Little Dix Bay was made so much better through the care that Jim provided. He was able to maintain our low-season rate throughout many delays and changes, was able to get us upgrades, and provided key help as we navigated the new procedures to enter the BVI. When leaving, Jim was even able to negotiate an additional resort credit that we weren't expecting. Many will say that you should just go direct and book on a hotel website, or with an airline, but Jim and Perfect Honeymoons provides such a remarkable service in this challenging world - we'll not take a trip like this without going through Jim again!

The amazing Gretchen helped us put our honeymoon together and we couldn't be happier about it! My husband and I got married in May but we couldn't go on our honeymoon until late October. Due to work, we a had relatively short time to put together our honeymoon. We contacted Gretchen in early September and our honeymoon was in late October and early November, so we were very impressed how she was able to put such an amazing honeymoon so quickly. From the very first conversation we had with Gretchen, we realized right off the bat how good of a listener, responsive, kind and attentive she was. She hired her on the spot. We wanted to go to the French Riviera, Monaco and Portugal. The very next day, Gretchen came to us with a preliminary plan and the next days we were in constant (but efficient) communication about what we wanted/didn't want/enjoyed/places we wanted to visit/restaurants/tours, etc. Despite the fact that she is in the West Coast and we are in the East Coast, communication was incredibly easy and fluid. We finalized all preparations in about a week and a half! When we arrived, all hotels were absolutely fantastic, and the restaurants and tours exceeded our expectations. The logistics were seamless, well organized and without any eventualities. We got several upgrades in the hotels and we received extra special treatment! We even got a very sweet gift from Gretchen in one of our hotels (champagne and sweets). As someone who travels a lot for work, I can tell how valuable Gretchen's skills are at organizing, putting together logistics and listening what is being requested. We had the best time of our lives, and we are incredibly grateful to Gretchen for it!

He was very helpful and provided a lot of information from the get-go. Steve was very helpful and detailed throughout the booking process. Even when we were unsure where to travel to, he gave his best and honest assessment of the destinations that he had on hand and it gave us a better view of what was best for us. We worked with Gretchen to plan our dream honeymoon to Hawaii and had such a great experience that we worked with Gretchen to plan our dream Eurotrip for our first anniversary! We had a lot of places we wanted to visit in a short amount of days and were feeling overwhelmed until Gretchen took care of everything. Steve did an amazing job with planning our honeymoon to Anguilla! We are not experienced travelers and had trouble narrowing down where we wanted to travel for our honeymoon. Choosing perfect honeymoons to plan our trip was well worth the price. Steve helped us with all the details such as initial planning phone conversations to narrow down where we’d like to travel, to organizing our travel itineraries and providing several awesome restaurant recommendations! My wife and I were beyond pleased with our honeymoon. Steve was professional and worked with us to find the best honeymoon package. This was the first time either of us had worked with a travel agent before and I doubt we will ever plan a vacation again without Steve’s help. Considering all the work that goes into getting the wedding prepared, the last thing we wanted to do was plan a honeymoon on top of it. One of the best parts of the trip was our upgrade to the honeymoon suite at Qamea in Fiji. Steve has personal relationships with all of the hotel managers that he recommends, so he reached out on our behalf and was able to leverage an upgrade. Another couple had purchased the same package as us from Costco, and not surprisingly Costco didn’t call on there behalf to see about an upgrade! Thanks for everything! We were very excited about working with Gretchen from Perfect Honeymoons after learning that she had been to the same location at the same time just one year before. Gretchen was difficult to get in contact with at times during the planning, however, that can be contributed to her long list of clientele. She is so good at her job and so much fun to work with. We wanted our entire honeymoon planned out including tours and dining recommendations and she was able to accomplish that. She was also available at the drop of a dime for any questions we had during our trip. We would certainly work with Gretchen again.

As a D.C. consultant, I know a "high-touch" client when I see one. Well, I was the worst of the worst when it came to our honeymoon: flip-floppy, demanding, hyper-communicative -- you name it! (It didn't help that I was trying -- successfully! -- to keep it a surprise until the moment I handed my new wife her ticket at the airport.) Through all my ups and downs and questions and worries and emails and emails and emails... Gretchen was never phased, always responsive, and gave excellent advice. I usually love planning trips as my husband and I travel a ton! But when I started looking into Bora Bora I was quickly overwhelmed and discouraged. In fear of ruining my own honeymoon I looked into several travel agents and loved Steve at Perfect Honeymoons the most! He definitely took the stress away. In the midst of planning a wedding, planning a honeymoon would have been put on the back burner. Steve was great at helping us figure out where exactly to go in Tahiti. We originally wanted to spend all 10 days in Bora Bora but he advised that we split the trip in MO’OREA and Bora Bora which ended up being incredible and we wouldn’t have done it any other way! We planned our honeymoon about 6 months prior to our wedding (we went right after the wedding!) During this planning process Steve was great at taking our budget and preparing the “perfect honeymoon” for us. He asked what was important to us, things we liked to do while vacationing and overall just got to know us. He was very prompt when putting together a package, which we loved and booked soon after! As the honeymoon approached Steve worked closely with us on activities we wanted to do. He knew all the right people to go to and had great recommendations for both activities and food! We did Skydiving, deep sea fishing and took an ATV tour of the island (per his recommendation!) all were incredible with breathtaking views of Mo’orea. We had the time of our lives! In terms of travel it was all effortless with the app that we downloaded. Steve had inputted everything that we needed so no papers were needed the whole time! This was a nice way to travel! We were also treated so well throughout the honeymoon due to Steve’s great connections. Steve cares about his couples, their happiness and making sure the honeymoon is within their budget. You are in great hands with Steve and I would highly recommend him if you’re thinking of planning your honeymoon (or vacation) to Bora Bora (and other destinations!) We found Perfect Honeymoons via The Knot. We felt immediately comfortable having Gretchen handle the travel arrangements for our wedding party of 80 plus people. Gretchen is very knowledgeable with the major hotels and will put in the effort to get all your questions answered. Like the name says, if you're looking for a perfect honeymoon these are the people to help make it one! From the very start Steve was amazing to work with. We started out with about a million ideas of what we wanted to do for our honeymoon and he helped us narrow it down to Tahiti with a little side trip in California on our return from the South Pacific. Every place we stayed was above and beyond what we hoped for. His knowledge of the all the areas we went and the travel tips were a great help as well. All of the excursions and restaurants he suggested where fantastic. I have recommend them to two other friends that are getting married in November and they both are using Perfect Honeymoon's to book their honeymoons. We will for sure be using them again for other trips in the future due to the ease of booking, making all the travel arrangements and great recommendations on things to do, places to eat and other info everyone needs while exploring a new place. Steve far exceeded our expectations for our recent honeymoon in Greece. It was absolutely amazing! We went to Crete and then Sanrorini and both stays were luxurious and absolutely perfect. Everything was super easy and very detailed. All transportation was always set up and we never had to worry about how we were going to get from the airport to island, or island to island. When we arrived in Santorini the concierge told us we had a travel agent that must really really like us because he went above and beyond and we definitely could tell!! We will 100% be using Steve for any travel plans we have in the future. Highly highly recommend!!

My wife and I worked with Steve to find the perfect venue for our wedding including planning activities for our guests. Steve found the perfect resort for our 110 guests, at us up with the right people and made our wedding a dream come true. Based on that experience we worked with Steve to plan our two week honeymoon in Spain. We absolutely loved every bit of Spain. Steve planned every bit of our travel from flights, airport transfers, amazing dining experiences and tours. He was always accessible and extremely helpful. My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Thailand this past July. We initially looked into planning it ourselves but quickly became overwhelmed with all that was on our plate with moving across the country, both starting new jobs, and getting married so we decided to hand this one off to an expert and we are SO glad we did. We have said to ourselves multiple times that we will go back to Steve for future family vacations. If you are considering a travel consultant... do it! He was very responsive, helpful and easy to work with, and was willing to work with us to modify our itinerary until we had exactly what we wanted (and all within our budget). Had the pleasure of working with Steve in planning what truly turned out to be the perfect honeymoon (not to be too corny). I had initially tried to plan everything on my own, but I just had too much going on and time was flying by so I resorted to a travel agency. I was very pleased with how smooth everything was! First off, the one time flat fee that I was charged was a very reasonable one. Steve heard out every single one of my overly specific and arguably difficult requests, likes, dislikes, budget, etc. Within a short few days he came back with more options than I was expecting. However, he did make sure it wasn't too overwhelming. I think it was on the second round of recommendations he sent, that I picked one. Steve was extremely patient and professional throughout the whole process. I never felt pressured or pushed to just settle on something. After everything was booked a few months before the honeymoon, Steve would periodically ping me (unsolicited) to see if we were ready, had any questions, concerns, etc... he sent us a hard-copy itinerary shortly before the trip along with some simple travel goodies, and followed up when we got back. It really was just fantastic service throughout the whole process with Steve. Thank you again for all the amazing work to plan us an unforgettable trip, and I would certainly recommend in the future, as well as work with Steve again on future vacation planning (hopefully not another honeymoon though :) ).

Steve was amazing to work with! There is no way that we would have been able to make our honeymoon as great as it was without his help. We were able to give him some ideas of what we wanted and he dove in and helped to create an itinerary for the honeymoon of our dreams. I cannot begin to say how great everything turned out. Our two week honeymoon to a few islands in Tahiti was perfect and we cannot thank him enough for all his recommendations and hard work to make our honeymoon so wonderful! In addition to Bora Bora and Moorea, we knew we wanted to explore another island and Steve's recommendation of Le Taha'a was a trip highlight for us! He even provided us with nightly dinner restaurants including local restaurants outside of our hotel with transportation included. We decided to go to Walt Disney World for a Graduation. Gretchen worked so hard for us getting us everything that we wanted, and planning and working with family from a different state to make sure we were all there at the same time and stayed in the same location in the hotel. She was always there when we needed her especially when Hurricane Maria hit Florida causing us to postpone our trip. She took care of any issues that we ran into. I recommend Gretchen to anyone looking for a Travel Agent. In my book she is the best. We can’t wait to plan more trips with her!

My husband and I both have very high stress/demanding jobs. Planning a honeymoon in addition to planning a wedding and working was too overwhelming. Gretchen was our agent and she is amazing! She helped us figure out where we wanted to go (we had no clue!) and then planned every detail. We went to Fiji and it was stress-free from start to finish. We have traveled our fair share in the past but never have we gone on a trip that was so easy. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The places we stayed were above and beyond what we could have imagined. Planning a wedding is a huge task....don't also plan your honeymoon. Have Gretchen do it!

Exceptional - we would recommend Perfect Honeymoons to all of our friends! We had an amazing time in Greece and it was so helpful to have everything set up for us in advance. Especially things like airport transfers - even when we had major flight delays Jim was able to re-arrange our pickup so we didn’t have to wait or worry.
