Lani resort on Maui. She lined up 4 major activities for us and gave great ideas on other things to do if we had time. Other perks included breakfast being included everyday and champagne delivered to our room. This was the nicest honeymoon we could imagine. Unless you are a seasoned traveler and know exactly where you want to go, I suggest letting these professionals blow you away. Thank you Gretchen, and the team at Perfect Honeymoons!

s for quite some time planning our perfect honeymoon in Maui. She was an expert in the area and had all the answers to the million of our questions. We stayed at the Fairmont which was perfect for a 'no kiddo' relaxing time. She planned the flights, car rental, some of our dinner reservations, and three excursions. I did NOTHING! I said, "yes" or "no" and then magically I had everything mailed to me in a nice package and we were on our way. If something came up, which it never did, I had a number to call to get assistance. If I was freaking out, as I typically do, about something that was out of my power like weather, I could call Gretchen and she would calm me down. As well, the best part of the service in my opinion, in the case something did come up and we had to move our honeymoon location or date, Perfect Honeymoon would transfer our money and it would all be taken care of. That sort of worry is not something you need when you're already planning a wedding. Perfect Honeymoon did all the work for us. Love the service, love Gretchen and LOVED my honeymoon. Weeks later I'm still dreaming about drinks poolside.

While Jim did provide his top recommendations, he provided us with a few similar destinations and multiple hotel options so we could pick something that worked into our budget and style. The fact that Jim and his team have actually been to almost every place imaginable really sets them apart. They can tell you what the sand on each beach is like, how each hotel room is different, and what exactly at each restaurant is the best dish. It is also helpful that Jim knows the owners/managers of all of these places! For the first leg of our trip in Antigua, Jim was able to talk to the owner (a friend of his) to get us a free upgrade to an amazing hillside villa on a last minute request. The staff knew we were with Jim and took note. This continued with our trip to St Bart’s at the Eden Rock, where we were personally greeted by the manager of the resort who had been with Jim recently. He ensured the entire staff knew who we were and get the best treatment possible. Also, we were greeted in our room with a bottle of champagne on the Perfect Honeymoon’s team. However, just planning a great trip wasn't what the Perfect Honeymoons team was all about. Through each step of the way Jim was able to provide us with fantastic advice and suggestions. He was also extremely helpful when we had any issues, and was available day or night to help us. We couldn’t say enough great things about the Perfect Honeymoon’s team. They were recommended to us by several friends who have had identical experiences, and we plan to use Jim and the team for our next adventure.

Another highlight of our trip was his recommendation to go on the Keishi Day tour. He is a true specialist when it comes to French Polynesia and you would be making a mistake if you didn't hire his services. We highly recommend Jim to anyone and everyone!

He gave us options to choose from to meet our price range and let us know in detail what would be included in our reservation. He also booked not only our hotels and some excursions but our airfare too which was a huge help as he made sure to give us enough time in between flights. We really lucked out by finding Steve. Since returning from our honeymoon in Moorea and Bora Bora, I have recommended Steve and the company to two different couples I know of that will be getting married next year. Because of our budget we decided to look at a different travel company that could provide a quote that would make is feel like we were getting the most for our money for our honeymoon. I believed it was wise to look around. I found a company I trusted and developed a better relationship with. When we did not accept his quote was when his behavior became unprofessional. His emails we're so uncomfortable and appeared designed to make me feel guilty for all the time he had spent on our quotes, that he had gone out of his way for us, and that his deal was the best option there was for this vacation. He mentioned that he had waived fees and want getting anything for this quote, etc... In addition, we were unable to book a reservation on our own with a different travel agent bc he had reserved 2 hotels under our name without our knowledge or permission. It was a huge headache. It took almost 2 days for him to release the hold and the hotels to process It. During this time It was so stressful that the prices would go up and that our other agent couldn't get in to book us. We had a short engagement and were travelling at a peak time so days matter. I was worried he would not release them bc of his unprofessional attitude. Super stressful. He was rude and disrespecful in our many interactions with him asking him to release the hold. Unless you know you are going to accept this guys quote. I would not suggest getting one from him. I love the travel agent I chose. It's soooo worth It to me not to feel pressured or bad for making my own choices about our honeymoon. I understand that he wanted our business for the quote and work but sometimes people make other choices.

During the first call with Steve we talked about our ideas and he asked what activities we wanted to do and what were our “must haves”. From that we collectively narrowed it down to the Bahamas, Mexico and my heart-set place of Costa Rica. He emailed us links to his suggested resorts for each location. (All of which he had personally visited) He suggested that if we choose to go to Costa Rica to split the trip up in two parts. We spent 4 nights in an all-inclusive, adults only, Beach front resort. We then took a 4 hour drive to La Fortuna (with a very comfortable, clean vehicle and a super friendly driver who spoke English very well and taught us some Spanish) We arrived at a very secluded resort. Perfect for couples who want to relax and be secluded. We rarely saw or spoke to anyone. And with Steve’s connections, he was able to get a $100 Spa credit which I used to enjoy a 70 minute hot stones massage. (My husband didn’t want to come :) ) There is no way I could have planned something like this without Steve’s expertise. From location to flights to resorts, Steve covered it all. My husband and I will continue to use Perfect Honeymoons for all vacations we take, despite the fact that our honeymoon is in the past. It was the perfect start to our marriage and we owe that all to Steve and Perfect Honeymoons.

e originally wanted to go to Bora Bora or Fiji, but quickly realized that our love for alcohol and food would not be cohesive with the lack of all-inclusive options. So, Gretchen provided us a few other options of all-inclusive resorts that had a similar look and feel to what we wanted in Bora Bora. We ultimately decided on a Rondeval with private plunge pool with butler service at Sandals Grande Antigua. Gretchen was so helpful leading up to leaving regarding packing, passport, checking in, pre-booking excursions, completing our butler preference forms, etc. We had a great time on our honeymoon, and were so happy to hear from Gretchen when we got back! We highly recommend Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays!

After some decisions on our end, Jim created a trip proposal that was tailored to us in every way. Travel day came and armed with the two, 10+ page documents that Jim provided us with, which had full descriptions of each of the islands and "things to do and see" (our honeymoon would take us to two islands), every detail was planned meticulously and all of our travels and arrangements went off without a hitch. The honeymoon was better than we could have imagined... from the accommodations, the recommendations for activities, and restaurants, everything was nothing short of amazing. Though it was of course not guaranteed, Jim was able to work some magic and secure us upgrades at the hotels on both islands. We were so happy with the experience that we have been referring friends and family... the funny thing is that three other couples we know getting married this year are already using him! tropical storm/hurricane became a potential issue with only 10 days before the wedding day and departure date. With only 7 days prior to the wedding day the weather report was very bad as to rain etc in mexico for 5-6 days of our planned honeymoon. So we decided to try and change venues, without hesitation Gretchen went to work. Within hours she had us a few options that met our vast requirements. To my surprise Gretchen was able to change our trip to Mexico to Jamaica, to Sandals Whitehouse in a butler beachfront room. She had personnal knowledge of the property and said that it would be fantastic, so we took her word for it. I am definetly glad we did, she was right it was fantastic, beautiful place, food was excellent all the way around. The butler service was great and we enjoyed the experience more than i could have ever imagined. With than being said reviews of the Whitehouse resort can be found everywhere. As far was my review with Perfect Honeymoons, i could not be more happy with the choice to use them as our travel agent and honeymoon planners. The fact that she was so accomidating in a instance of changing our venue on short notice and being able to find such an amazing place for us. The knowledge of the properties Perfect Honeymoons staff especially Gretchen is unbelievable, with our discussions of properties than we both have been to, and many many others that she has been to, i realized that she knew exactly what she was talking about and was not just reading reviews and literature from the resort. Our trip only proves that knowledge to be true more and more everytime we tell the story of our experience. Every single thing she stated was exactly as we experienced it, from the resort to the excursions, and even the transport to and from the airport which was adventurous to say the least. eing as Gretchen is based on the West Coast of the USA and we live on the East Coast, we were not able to meet face to face so we corresponded via e-mail and phone calls. Gretchen always responded promptly to e-mails and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. Whenever we arranged a time to talk via phone call Gretchen was always available when she said she would be. Before we left for Hawaii, Gretchen was very vigilant to make sure we were happy with all the details and this was really important to us because, after all, this was our wedding and honeymoon and we wanted to have the time of our lives! Gretchen and Perfect Honeymoons continued their service whilst we were in Hawaii. We were in regular contact with her and she continued to check that everything was going to plan and that we were happy. At each new hotel we stayed at, we were happily surprised to find that Gretchen had arranged special honeymoon upgrades for us. This was an example of how Perfect Honeymoons went the ‘extra mile’ to ensure our happiness. I am delighted to say that all the hotels that Gretchen recommended to us were perfect and we took advantage of her other recommendations of where to visit and eat as well. Gretchen continued to keep in touch after we had returned home to make sure we were entirely happy with our Hawaiian wedding/honeymoon and we now look upon her not only as our travel agent but also our friend. Gretchen has actually been to many (if not all) of the sites they recommend so I was able to ask her anything about all aspects of various resorts in order to compare what was important to us. This was huge and made me feel like I knew what I was getting into. She followed up with us afterwards as well.

s to be excellent. My wife and I didnt know exactly where we wanted to go. We knew we wanted to do something athletic but also be able to hang out and relax at the beach. Steve created a list of possible countries that would fit our needs, for our budget which would be nice at this time of the year. We were happy to choose Belize. Steve created an itinerary that included going into the jungle with Duplooys jungle lodge and San Pedro at Ramon's at the beach. We were able to use points that we had accumulated for our airfare on the way down and then Steve set up most everything else. We had shuttles from the airport to the lodges and flights set up to transport us to/from Belize City an San Pedro. Our Duplooys trip had meals all included (alcohol we paid additional for but reasonable) as well as an excursion each day. Ramon's included breakfast each day. Another main reason why we wanted to use a travel agency was because we haven't traveled too much internationally and wanted to make sure that we chose safe areas. The entire time that we were there, the two of us felt very safe. Lastly, I will say that Perfect Honeymoon's customer service was great. Steve is usually based out of California and we are in VA. He was able to work around our schedules, often talking at night time, to review the trip, explain items to us, and allow us to ask any questions that we may have either particular to Belize or in general about traveling and things that we should prepare for. A week before the trip, Steve was in Tyson's VA and we were able to have a final meeing to go over itinerary and the trip. All worked out great! Steve and Perfect Honeymoons made traveling very easy and provided a great safety net for us knowing that we had a contact in the US that was familiar with the country and our trip, in the event that anything went wrong (which it didnt!). ve. I desperately looked for a good travel agent who can get us a good deal and based on very good online reviews, I found Steve at Perfect Honeymoon. From the beginning of the planning, he was great! He responded to my emails very promptly. (I asked a TON of questions.) He quickly found a couple of good options for us. What he found for us was just fantastic! He even got us all these perks and comps for honeymooners. For example, we got free full continental breakfast for everyday and complimentary upgrade to a room with better view...etc. Also, he gave us information and tips on what to do in Aruba and kept sending us a reminder/check-in emails until our wedding day. A night before our departure, we found out that our flight got delayed so much and we won't be able to take the connecting flight. We panic and called the 1-800 number that was given by Steve and they changed the flight for us quickly at no extra cost. It was like 3 am in the morning when we called. So we were pretty impressed by the 24/7 service that they offer. I highly recommend Steve and Perfect Honeymoon to all brides-to-be!

e to worry about a thing on our trip. I forgot our travel documents, no problem! Every place we arrived and every transportation service knew we were coming and we never had an issue. Our resorts were beautiful and received great advice on activities to do. We spoke to other couples on their honeymoons and expressed what an ease everything was for us, unfortunately they did not have the same experience because they did not have a good travel agent. I highly recommend Perfect Honeymoons, they give every couple the star treatment which is amazing during such an important time! We will never forget our honeymoon, they best time of our life!

We also noticed his work while on our honeymoon, getting great seats at dinner and other special honeymoon perks because him and his team notified the venue we were coming. You definitely get your value out of using the services offered by Perfect Honeymoon and we highly recommend them!

They worked directly with Gretchen until they couldn't wait any longer to hear back from her and eventually booked the hotel and flights on their own. Everyone had the same things to say. This is our story: First off, I picked a wonderful hotel for our destination wedding. We stayed at the Iberostar in Montego Bay. I have no complaints with the hotel. They did a wonderful job and I would totally go back. Fabulous service. My guests and I will not however use Perfect Honeymoons to book again. I originally chose them based on their Knot ratings. I will admit things started off great with this company. We had Gretchen as our travel agent. She is very personable and she was very prompt at the start. She got prices, looked things up, and everything was well. I was super happy with them. Now the time to actually start booking rolls around… Gretchen is no where to be heard from. I had family and friends calling me because they wanted to book and were not receiving any word back. The most someone waited for a response was a month and they ended up just booking outside of our party; it took an average of 2-3 weeks for many of our guests to get a response from Gretchen. I, as the bride, couldn't even get ahold of her in a timely fashion. There was always some reason she couldn't get back during this time: personal issues; spam filter; computer issues; etc. Besides the lack of service during time to book, one guest was over charged and found it out when checking everything over later. This became a several month ordeal to get the money back and to get confirmations of it. Guests were given inaccurate advice on which of the 3 Iberostars to book at when they talked to Gretchen. I had guests who specifically asked to be booked in the adults only hotel and were booked in the family friendly section. We began receiving calls from our guests about their flight itineraries because no one had heard from Gretchen and our own calls and emails went unreturned for several days. When we finally did hear back we received vague responses and a date the flight info. would be mailed out by. That date would come, something would come up, and now they would be coming out by such and such date. The flight itineraries and confirmations where FINALLY mailed only the WEEK before we all left. The entire party was concerned that their money had actually been taken and a fake certification sent to them (including the bride and groom). There were many late night conversations prior to departure between the bride, groom, and guests about this very real possibility. To future brides looking for a travel agency: I hope you get better service then we did. I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through what we did.

planner recommended Gretchen to us. She made everything so easy. We stayed at the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa & the InterContinental Thalasso in Bora Bora, and the entire trip was everything that we hoped and dreamed. Gretchen has been there several times herself, so she had first-hand knowledge of the resorts and activities available to us. We let her know our budget, and from there, she recommended a tailored trip. When we needed to contact her while on the honeymoon, she was available immediately. Her travel service also has a 24-hour phone help desk, but we did not need to use it at any point. We highly recommend working with Gretchen for your honeymoon. She is so knowledgeable and such an exciting person to work with throughout the planning process.

grandmother, but we gave Gretchen a budget, and she got to know us and asked us some questions to help determine what she felt would be the best fit for us.... She narrowed it down to some resorts in the Mexican Riviera and in St. Lucia (Caribbean). We ended up selecting a Sandals resort in St. Lucia, and Gretchen was able to get us a great deal on first class flights out there. Our entire honeymoon was like a dream come true - it could not have been more perfect!! Gretchen did such a wonderful job that we referred her to a friend when they were having issues with a travel agent, and they were incredibly happy with Gretchen (and their honeymoon in Antigua), as well!

and what we wanted and she hooked us up with a GREAT resort. The Excellence Playa Mujeres was one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. The staff was great, the food delicious, and the resort was beautiful. We can't thank Gretchen enough for all of her help. She made sure we were totally prepared before we left, which I really appreciated since the few weeks before the wedding were CRAZY. I'm looking forward to working with her again.

He took care of EVERYTHING (flights, hotel, rental car, airport pickups, etc). It was so nice not to have to plan the small details while we were busy planning the wedding. I really felt like he went the extra mile to create a trip that was "personalized" to our interests. I would recommend Perfect Honeymoons to anyone. Best part is he saved us money!
