Our experience with Gina can be summed up with a question one of our guests asked which was "How do people have weddings without Gina?!?!" We could write so much out Gina and her crew but what we valued the most was knowing that she had our back every step of the way. We had creative freedom with every decision; however, Gina's knowledge and connection with vendors throughout Oahu steered us in the right direction with every decision. On the day of the wedding, Gina's organization helped us truly enjoy our guests without getting caught up in logistics and every vendor suggested by Gina was 5 stars. Don't hesitate to book Perfection for any event. We wish we had more events to book just to work with Gina again :)
We had verbal agreements with all our vendors for our Hawaii wedding that if we needed to cancel due to COVID we would get our deposit back. Due to COVID mandates we had to cancel and out of all the verbal agreements this is the only place that would not give back our deposit. We did sign a contract with all vendors and the contracts did state non refundable, but we believe people when they give a verbal agreement. Thank you to all those vendors who refunded our money and sticking to their word. We would not recommend this company during COVID.
My daughter’s wedding venue required us to hire a professional wedding planner. At first, I was not happy to spend the money, but after working with Gina and her company, I would highly recommend hiring her, as she is worth every penny. She provided vendor recommendations, went over contracts, and kept everything organized and worked with our budget. When new Covid restrictions were announced 10 days before the wedding, she submitted a Covid mitigation plan so that we were able to hold our event. She kept track of all the guest vaccination cards,and test results, which would have been a nightmare to do ourselves. She remained calm, and kept us calm. Always with a smile.
Mostly, she organized a beautiful wedding, everything we had envisioned. Many people told me it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have attended.
It was stress free to me, different from when I planned my other daughter’s wedding on my own. All we had to do on the day of the wedding was show up!
I cannot say enough how easy Gina was to work with, and how she made my daughter’s wedding everything that she dreamed of. We didn't even realize that there were issues with the caterer during the reception-Gina took care of it without us even knowing. Her price was actually lower than some of the other wedding planners that we looked at. I won't hesitate to use her again when my next child gets married!
My fiance and I interviewed 4 wedding planners before deciding to book with Gina for our destination wedding in Hawaii that was to take place last April. Unfortunately given the onset of COVID-19 and the closure of international borders, we had to cancel our Hawaii wedding, however even without the actual wedding itself, after a year of planning with Gina (and re-planning for two additional postponed dates), I can confidently recommend Gina to ANYONE looking to plan a wedding in Hawaii.
Gina is an incredible wedding planner who has the art of planning a wedding nailed down to a T. From our initial conversation I knew Gina was the one as she was so organized, detail oriented and clearly had knowledge of the Hawaii wedding industry that proved to be invaluable throughout the process, especially for an international couple. She has thought of every single component, timeline, contingency, and consideration for planning a wedding so you don't have to.
On a personal level Gina is so sweet and does an excellent job of bringing brides extravagant wedding expectations back within their budget, while also advocating for the groom's wishes (a true art!). What was most telling of Gina's character was her navigation of our wedding with the onset of COVID-19. The pandemic hit just 5 weeks out from our wedding day. Gina guided us through our options and the decision to postpone, working with each of our vendors on scheduling a new date (twice!) all while navigating an unprecedented worldwide pandemic. When we made the difficult decision to cancel the wedding all together, Gina showed great compassion and continued in assisting us in receiving vendor refunds where possible.
Planning a wedding is stressful in the best of times, but choosing Gina will take the stress out of the process as much as possible. While we didn't get to meet in person, we can't wait to meet one day when we do get to visit Hawaii :)
If I could give Gina 10 stars I would. She is so organized and genuinely cares. At the last minute, our wedding was cancelled, by the hotel, because of the Coronavirus and she put together an amazing wedding ceremony in less than 72 hours. Her hard work and generous nature made the event more beautiful than I would have ever imagined. I can't rave about her enough and highly recommend her for any event.

From creating our initial checklist to coordinating our requests to the vendors, Gina took care of it all, leaving us without much of the stress that we had heard about from friends who had already gotten married. Her tireless staff of "superheroes" (I emphasize this since I am a huge Iron Man / Tony Stark fan) really went the extra mile for us on the day of the wedding so we could be fully immersed and truly enjoy it all! Having been through a few weddings as a groomsman in the past, I was already aware of some of the day-of struggles a groom could go through. When we made it clear that eating during the reception was a priority, Gina planned and executed beautifully, giving us ample time to not only enjoy our dinner, but also time for my wife and I to enjoy small moments together during the hustle and bustle of the reception.

Gina is an amazing wedding planner. To give some background, we first started working with Gina about 9 months before our wedding. We decided to choose all of our own vendors and then pass everything along to Gina 3 months out. From our first conversation with Gina, we were just amazed at how organized, thoughtful, and on top of things she was.
Fast forward to three months out when she took over after we had finished choosing our vendors and she was amazing. She made sure we stayed on top of deadlines, made all of our decisions at the right time, and was just there to answer any questions that we had.
On the day of the wedding, Gina and her team were just absolutely amazing. They made our wedding day so easy for us and made the wedding just go so smoothly. Her and her staff were always wherever we needed them to be. To sum it up, if you are looking for a wedding planner, you don't need to look further than Gina!
Our wedding was seamless because of Gina and her team! I was referred to Gina by a friend who had used her for her wedding. She was the only coordinator we spoke with and after our initial meeting we immediately knew she was the perfect fit for us. She is personable, organized, detail oriented and a foodie. Our top priority for a venue was “good food”, Gina knew exactly which venue to recommend and OMG I still can’t get over how delicious our food was at our wedding! She was mindful of our budget and vision and recommended vendors of different styles and price ranges. From someone who tends to procrastinate and can easily get overwhelmed, Gina was able to alleviate any stress I had with planning a wedding from Seattle and kept me on point with her check-lists and deadlines. The day of the wedding flowed seamlessly, any hiccups we may have encountered we didn’t notice. Where do I start to describe the impact Gina and her team at Perfection had on our wedding. They were amazing and exceeded our expectations on every level! Organizing a wedding in Waikiki from New York was a scary prospect until I met Gina! From our very first conversation she was able to relate to the vision I had for our special day. She wasn’t pushy, she didn’t force her opinions or suggestions on us, rather she helped to find vendors and options that best suited our vision. It was very clear that she has an amazing working relationship with many vendors in O’ahu. Gina and her team were so awesome to work with. Her attention to detail was outstanding and since this was a destination wedding for us, she was able to provide great advice and recommendations. Gina’s knowledge and network of vendors provided us with confidence in our choices and we were very relaxed on our wedding day. Our whole family and wedding party felt taken care of on the day and everything was perfectly executed and seamless.
I don’t even know where to start this review... if there were a million stars I guess that would be a solid start! We had interviewed a few wedding planners for our destination wedding in Oahu and when we spoke with Gina, it was clear that she was the one. I work in operations and needed an effective communicator that was organized and professional with a ‘get things done right’ attitude. And even if we were a bit hesitant at first with the budget, it was the best money we spent on the wedding. All of the vendors she recommended were fantastic and Gina was extremely mindful of our style and budget in making recommendations. Every phone call we had was efficient and we were able to also work effectively over email and collaboration tools. It truly felt like we were working with the best in the business. And on the actual day, my husband and I were able to truly enjoy the wedding and completely trust and handoff all responsibilities to Gina’s team. We still cannot talk about the wedding without mentioning Gina.... I wholeheartedly recommend Gina’s services to all couples looking to get married in Hawaii!

We got married in May 2018 at Four Seasons. We hired Gina for 'day of wedding' coordinating services and it was beyond my expectations. She is OCD, perfectionist, and so organized - JUST LIKE ME! She gave me 'homework' which helped solidify my ideas and details. I was so happy to be able to talk to her once a month, 4 months prior to my wedding. It was just so nice to chat over the phone with her. She made the destination wedding planning a great experience. She kept our WILD groomsman in check! She worked well with all of our vendors that we picked. We love you Gina!! Thanks for EVERYTHING!
Gina is AMAZING!!! my husband , family , friends and I cannot thank her enough for everything did for us. our wedding was everything we could have hoped for and way more. She really understood our vision and brought it to life . We cannot praise her enough for all her kindness, hard work and patience with us throughout the whole process. For brides (and grooms as well as hesitant mothers of the bride) that need someone to help point then in the right direction, keep them on task and help make those difficult when it comes to vendors, timelines, decor, etc Gina is a pro. Her knowledge is endless and she definitely knows how to quickly ease any stress during the planning process. We all love her to pieces and you will definitely not be disappointed!
There isn't much that I can say about Gina that hasn't already been said! I cannot imagine going through the wedding planning process without her, it was seamless from start to finish with little to no stress. I either don't fully understand the role a wedding planner plays, or Gina really just goes above and beyond her call of duty, I have a feeling it's the latter. From small tasks such as verifying I ate and drank water on the day of, to larger tasks such as picking up wedding cake the morning of the wedding, Gina handled it all. She pays insane amount of attention to small details, I even caught her adjusting a center piece because it wasn't perfectly centered on the table. She really does everything in her power to make sure the day is perfect including bolting over to the ring bearer before he took a fork to the wedding cake or lying on the floor of a boat to make sure she doesn't get in any pictures.
As amazing as Gina is, she doesn't do it all alone! Her assistants, Jenn and Taryn, also played a huge roll on the wedding day. From turning people away to make sure me and my husband had time to eat to even standing near us to swat away flies, they were there for anything we needed!
To any future grooms or brides that are reading this, she really is worth the money, and if you do work with Gina on planning your event, trust her! She will set up the "A team" of your dreams and somehow stay in or below budget! Gina named her company appropriate as she, and her team, is absolute PERFECTION.

In September 2017, I recognized it was absolutely necessary to hire a wedding planning team. I had ideas of what I wanted but really struggled with selecting vendors, ensuring we did not miss anything major and pulling things together. Enter Gina and the Perfection team!
From my first call with her, I knew she and the team would be the answer I was looking for. She was calm, insightful, sweet and organized. And even though she is an expert, she never once came across as if I was just a number. I felt like she heard me and that meant a lot. She even was kind enough to have a follow-up call to explain things to my soon-to-be husband before we entered into an agreement.
Once we got started with her team things began to fall into place. The vendors she connected us with were a great match for our budget and personalities but she was there to help us vet a photographer we found and liked. The planning was a lot but it never felt too much because Gina and team had it all under control and then some! Gina was prepared for each of our meetings and she never hesitated to respond to my countless emails :)
When the week arrived, the weather was wet here in Hawaii, which was enough to make this bride-to-be a tad nervous! During our walk through of the site Gina let us know we would shift the layout and move things under the pavilion. I had a hard time visualizing but she assured me it would be gorgeous. The big day came and while the weather was perfect, the grounds were still soaked. As I got to my bridal suite, Gina and her team were there ready to work but also keep me happy and calm. I never needed anything they didn't have or couldn't help with and enabled me to focus on my family, getting ready, taking pics and enjoying a glass (or 2!) or Proseco.
Gina got all of the vendors in line and they all made the reception absolutely stunning. The day flew by but Gina was there to keep us on task for things that were important to us (like playing a recorded toast from my step-dad who could not join in person, me saying a few words about my grandma who could not be there and dedicating my bouquet to her, etc.) The team was so professional but fun and felt like part of the day, which was noticed by all of our guests. Our guests also commended us on how much work we put into the wedding as it was the best one they had been to! That credit belongs to the Perfection Gina team.

Can we give 10 stars? Gina is THE BEST! You won't find many people as good at their jobs as Gina is at her's. We were referred to Gina by my cousin that also works in the wedding industry so we knew she was going to be good, but she blew away all of our expectations. We began the wedding planning process with endless questions and apprehension as we were planning a wedding in Hawaii from California. Gina was extremely responsive and had an answer and/or solution to all of our questions. Because Gina is sooooo good she has the best contacts and preferred vendors that she works with to make everything you want a reality. The one thing that I personally appreciated the most was Gina’s organization. She kept us informed of everything and had Google docs and spreadsheets to help us stay organized and on schedule with everything.
We cannot even think of any constructive criticism because everything was PERFECT! It is safe to say that Gina was the integral part in making July 1, 2018 the best day of our lives and making my wife's dream wedding come true. BOOK GINA IF YOU WANT THE WEDDING OF YOUR DREAMS!
Gina and her team are the absolute best!! We were looking for a wedding coordinator who was affordable, knowledgeable, well-connected, reliable, and friendly. Gina was all those things and more!
One thing that really struck me in our initial meeting with Gina while we were still searching for a coordinator was that she encouraged us to find the right person for us, even if that was not her. After just one hour together, I felt that she truly cared about us as a couple and just wanted the best for us.
We had high standards for a wedding coordinator, and for all our wedding vendors, but we also had a limited budget. Gina did an amazing job guiding us through the entire wedding planning process and navigating the wedding world. She allowed us to create the wedding experience that we wanted, including several unconventional things and some cultural traditions, while advising us on best practices for logistical and practical things. She really helped us figure out how to make our wedding vision come to life in the most cohesive, smart, and smooth manner.
She was very responsive to all emails, questions, and concerns. She gave us valuable information and made all our decisions much easier, which was incredibly helpful for managing our decision fatigue as the wedding planning went on. She was extremely easy to talk to and, for our in-person meetings, she always checked in with both my fiancé (now husband!) and me on how life was first before diving into business. We definitely now consider Gina a good friend.
As for the day of the wedding at Kualoa Ranch, Gina and her team were absolute perfection - fitting of their name. We had complete confidence and trust in Gina to help our wedding run smoothly, and we did not have to worry about a single thing that day. We could just be fully present in the moment and enjoy celebrating our love on our special day with our friends and family. In other words, we got to focus on the important things and not even think about anything else. The team also did a great job of working behind the scenes, and we felt that no one even noticed them. Everything just seemed to go miraculously according to plan. When in actuality, the team was making it all happen. I tell everyone that our wedding day was beyond perfect, and we both feel that it truly was the best day of our lives so far.
I cannot say enough how wonderful it was to work with Gina. We whole heartedly recommend Gina and the Perfection team!!
Gina is the best! Gina and her team made our dream wedding come true. We cannot thank Perfection enough for saving our day when we were worried about Hurricane Hector coming to Oahu to rain down on our wedding. Gina is very organized and detail-oriented, and we're so glad we found her.
Perfection- a fitting name for Gina and her team. I hired Gina about two months out from my wedding, as my previous planner fell short of my expectations. Gina stepped right in and did an exceptional job. Note: I had a Monday wedding so I got super lucky that she was still available.
1. Emails answered promptly and thoroughly.
2. Screen/projector vendor fell through 1 week before the wedding- Gina found a replacement vendor at a fraction of the price.
3. She provided a detailed checklist with everything from the timeline to items needing to be setup, returned, etc.
4. It was important for us to keep on schedule and Gina made sure we did just that and were even ahead of schedule that I had extra time to enjoy cocktail hour.
5. She walked through our event space before the wedding- no other receptions had been done there- and provided great suggestions to enhance the flow between the ceremony and reception.
6. We were able to eat our dinner in peace!
7. She was able to troubleshoot our floral disaster.
8. Any want/need I had throughout the night she took care of immediately!

I can not imagine my wedding without Gina and her crew! We started working with Gina about 3 months out from our wedding and thank goodness we did. I thought I was organized, but Gina is way above my level in organization. She was so helpful with the remaining vendors we still had to book, asking questions about little details that we had never even thought of, and keeping us on track!! I tend to be a bit of a procrastinator so having Gina to help with all her reminders and checklists were extremely helpful during the months leading up to the big day.
The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect! Gina and her team were on top of it making sure everything was in place and on time... all I had to do was relax until her cue to walk down the isle! Throughout the night her team worked hard to ensure all aspects of the wedding ran smoothly - if there were any hiccups during the day, we surely didn't notice. Our family and friends were equally impressed and commented on how great they thought the planning team was. The best part - once the wedding was over, I didn't have to do a thing but leave! Everything was picked up, cleaned, and all our decorations were put back into our cars just waiting for us to take them back home. This allowed all our family and guests to continue on with the celebrations without having to worry about cleaning up!

Gina worked with us since day 1 of our wedding planning and I can honestly say that having Gina on board was one of the best wedding related decisions that we made! Gina took away a HUGE amount of wedding planning stress from us: she listened to what we wanted and when we didn't know what we wanted, offered experienced advice for us to consider; she provided us with a GREAT selection of vendors - all of the vendors were top-notch, friendly and professional; she was so easy to reach out to and was responsive to our emails and questions; she's amazing at getting things done (AND done on time); she coordinated all of the vendors and various parties involved so that the wedding day ran SMOOTHLY. This was a destination wedding for us and it was such a pleasure and relief to have such a RELIABLE and ENJOYABLE wedding planner to work with throughout the entire journey!
Perfection is certainly what Gina and her staff deliver!! You hope and pray that your wedding comes out beautiful, fun and memorable... I have to say that with Gina, my wedding day was far beyond my expectations!! I received so many compliments on how enjoyable, memorable and wonderful my wedding was from my guests. I attribute most of that to Gina! Things ran so smoothly, I did not have to worry about a thing! (and believe me, I am totally Type A and love to be in control of things). Gina is so trustworthy, meticulous and efficient... that my mom (who also is a bit of a control freak) totally entrusted Gina with everything as well!
After interviewing a few coordinators, Gina just was the perfect pick! She has been in the business long enough to know all the details needed for a perfect day. All the vendors love her too, and would tell me how much they love to work with her! She has wonderful suggestions and recommendations, especially when I wasn't sure what to do. Her timeline that she creates is honestly.. perfection! My cousin, who was our MC, was so impressed at how organized, professional, efficient and humorous Gina is! He said that she made his job so easy as she guided him through the reception without a hitch!
It's wonderful to work with someone who loves their job and making other peoples' day wonderful! Aside of being so professional, she is such a wonderful person! Gina is incredible! She embodies everything you want in a wedding planner. We were fortunate to have her full planning services and thank goodness we did! We had a large wedding (240 guests) and she made the entire process easy and, dare I say, fun! From our first meeting she was able to take very broad "ideas" with some specific Pinterest images and create a perfect embodiment of what we wanted. The day of was even more impressive, we were married at Kualoa Ranch, with ceremony on Secret Island and Reception at Hale Nanea. The logistics involved to get guests back and forth were daunting but it was flawless. We were VERY blessed with torrential downpours during the reception, Gina and her team didn't flinch and kept the party going regardless of the mudpit the venue had become. We couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding and we have Gina to thank for that!
I don't even know where to start with how much we loved Gina and how perfect she made our wedding. I guess I'll start at the beginning. We were planning this as a destination wedding from abroad. We have never been to Hawaii and were new to all this wedding planning business, so we really needed someone to assist us from Oahu. We found Gina on The Knot and after one conversation we knew she was our perfect fit. She catered her services to exactly what we needed and she helped us along every step of the way. She provided advise on vendors, venues, ambiance, scheduling, prices, on and on. She was (is) organized, professional, always friendly and helpful and ALWAYS on top of her game. Every vendor I spoke to had nothing but praise for Gina and her staff.
On the day of the wedding, we honestly could not have done it without Gina and her amazing staff. They kept us on schedule, kept the vendors on schedule and kept the day running smoothly. Gina and staff also provided support when we were nervous or anxious and helped keep the wild guests in line! :) They made the day perfect for us.

Trying to plan a destination wedding from Texas is difficult on your own. I realized 6 months in that we needed help. I'm so thankful we found Gina because our wedding was magical and the day of was stress free! Every detail was mapped out in the planning process and the day of went so smoothly! Her vendor connections are on point too, we love every one of our vendors she recommended! Our officiant, DJ, flowers, photography, makeup, videography were all amazing! During our search for a wedding coordinator, one of our most important attributes was to find someone responsive and dependable. We thought this would be a given (since this is an event coordination business), but boy, were we wrong! So many delayed (and non) responses that over promises and under deliveries was becoming the norm.... until we met Gina. Quick responses, timely follow up, and oh so organized! At first, we were leaning towards doing the day-of-coordination package with Gina, but we decided to go with the full wedding coordination package instead. And let me tell you, it was the best decision we made!
My husband and I immediately got along with Gina from our very first meeting as her vibe was similar to ours; casual, relaxed, but when it comes to business she works hard and gets the job done, and well. She possesses all qualities that you’d want your wedding planner to have. She’s very professional, detail oriented, beyond efficient and very helpful. She was able to make the wedding planning process less intimidating as she guided us through what we needed to get done only when it was necessary. We took things step by step and she provided us with deadlines that kept us on track. Everything became less daunting as we didn’t worry about all things that needed to get done, but rather just the items at hand.
Trust me… when we first started planning we had no idea which vendors to use or who was responsible for what detail. But with her guidance and advice we were able to pull together the A team of vendors (love them all), put together the most detail timeline I’ve ever seen and coordinate each detail from our surprise late-night french fry bar to our family flash mob.
On the day of our wedding, Gina was right by our side and always there to remind us to enjoy the moment. She was motherly when needed and stern with those who need a little more help staying in line. She is great at reading a crowd and isn’t afraid to insert herself when and where is needed to get the job done.
After months and months of planning, we both became great friends with Gina. We started as clients but ended as friends. She played a major role in making our big day so very special and surprisingly very stress free, so we owe her a big MAHALO!!! And you know, if there was something that went wrong (and there always is), we knew nothing about it because her and her team made it work.
So, if you’re looking for a wedding planner, we highly recommend Gina and her team!!!
Gina and her staff are great at what they do!! I got married about a month ago and hired them as my DOC. It was very easy to schedule meetings with them leading up to the wedding, I had about 3 planning sessions prior to the wedding. I always appreciated that they were always early to the meeting and prepared with all the documents. Gina's very articulate and detail oriented so it made me feel at ease throughout the process. On the wedding day, they helped us run a few errands and made sure everyone got to where they were supposed to be. I highly recommend their services!
If you're looking for a wedding coordinator that is on top of it and knows how to run a show. Then, Gina is your girl! She was our day-of coordinator and she was amazing!
We talked with 2 other coordinators before we met Gina. After our initial meeting together, my husband and I knew that we wanted her. She gave us some good advice: "There might be cheaper services out there but you want to make sure you have a good connection." We did meet with someone cheaper, who we thought we were going to go with but we didn't have as great of chemistry. We chose her because she is immediately likable and she knows what she is doing. She was also very familiar with our venue at Kualoa Ranch.
She coordinated the rehearsal the day before at the venue and she goes over everything so everyone knows where they should be and what to do. Very important!
The day of the wedding, her and her assistant were rockstars. They dressed in black and were ready to go with their walkie talkies and ear pieces. She kept us right on time which was unbelievable! She also kept the groomsmen in check with the alcohol before the ceremony! I loved that!
She's the kind of coordinator that can put out fires without you even knowing there was a fire in the first place. If you do your due diligence, you will find that Gina is stellar! And unless you are having a very simple wedding, you need a coordinator!
We hired Gina as our "month of" coordinator - she was so much more than that!! As the mother of the groom and the "unofficial" wedding planner she really supported me through the whole process and asked just the right questions or gave just the right advice to keep us on track. Her professionalism and knowledge regarding vendors and contract details helped us be ready for the big day. When that day came she and her team were second to none. She is helpful when needed and "firm" when needed, which is what you need when trying to organize and reign in all necessary parties for photos, etc. It was evident that her foremost goal was to give my 'kids' the wedding of their dreams and she succeeded!! They tell me that it was perfect and they wouldn't have changed a thing! To me that means SUCCESS!! Thanks Gina!!
I only have 3500 character limit to make a note about Perfection International (Gina and her staff). No words could ever describe how amazing her team is. From the first phone call appointment I just knew I could leave everything in her hands. Living on the mainland and planning a wedding on the island of Oahu was a breeze. Everyone would always tell me don't stress out but there was never a point were I was ever stressed out because Gina made the whole process easy.
If you are a bride or groom planning an event Gina and her staff will go above and beyond to make sure the wedding party is comfortable. I would highly suggest hiring Gina for more than a day of coordinator. If your budget allows I would suggest hiring her for the full planning (especially for someone who is not from the island of Oahu) as she has vendor connections and knows all the great locations, things to do, foods to eat!
If; however, your budget does not allow for the full event then at least hire her staff for day of as it will make your day flow.
Gina's prices was the most reasonable for the amount of work that goes along a wedding. I interviewed four different Oahu planners and I will be honest....they were all over $6,000!!!
If you don't follow her Instagram I would also suggest following her page so the bride/groom can get ideas from previous clients (at least that's what I did. I guess you could say Instagram stalking).
If I could turn back my time I wouldn't change a thing. I'm so glad I hired Gina and her staff!!!
Leading up to the wedding Gina was very lovely to work with and was not afraid of pushing back when she knew something wouldn't flow or would just make things more difficult. Equally she was always quick to offer up alternatives and suggestions, to help keep our vision for the day alive. Her recommendations for the vendors she helped us select were spot on so would definitely tell anyone not from the islands to trust her.
On the day of the wedding she was extremely patient with us. Helped get us completely sorted and her team were an absolute joy to have around. Dealt well with a few surprises and uncertainties very well. We were a quite relaxed and unconventional couple and had many different cultures represented on the day which she adopted in stride. Definitely helped make the day an absolute success and can not thank her and her team enough.
I love GINA!! I highly recommend highering Gina and her team to handle your Hawaiian wedding - You'll be exceptionally happy with her organizational skills and attention to detail. Gina was the absolute BEST! We could never have made our wedding happen without her!! Over the year of planning she was always so amazing and extremely helpful! She helped in so many different ways and always had so many great suggestions!
Due to flash flooding we had to change our venue the day before our wedding!! Gina was so on top of everything and after breaking the news to us she worked all day and night finding and organizing everything for our new location! She worked her magic and was able to create our dream wedding at a new location with less than 24 hours!! We cant thank her enough and would absolutely recommended her to anyone planning a wedding in Hawaii!!!
On-site coordination was a must for me, because I am really good at stressing out. Gina was fantastic! She and her staff were on top of everything, fixing things I didn't even know about until weeks after the wedding. Because of her, I have an amazing time at my wedding. Gina and her company, Perfection an international event company, are absolutely amazing. I live in Seattle, Wa and planned my entire wedding on the North shore on the island if Oahu with her partial coordination package. She saved us so much money and time and knew exactly which vendors to choose, but still gave several options for each of them. She is honest and goes above and beyond with everything that she does. After talking to her over the phone for 9 months for our meetings, it was so amazing to meet her in person. She felt like an old friend and treasured advisory. She is so personable but gets everything done with precision. She was mic'd up the whole time, directing the vendors, wedding guests, and me and my husband on where we needed to be and what we needed to be doing. Gina is the best thing that I did for my wedding, by far! She truly is amazing in every way. She is super organized, quick to respond to all emails, helpful, and sweet. We got married on April 2016 and without Gina I may have lost my mind lol. I would send her frantic emails and she would respond immediately and always calm me down. We met Gina at a wedding expo we just so happened to be in town for. We had no idea where to start with the planning and hiring a wedding planner never really crossed our minds. But boy were we glad we connected with Gina. She broke it all down for us right from the start. My husband was much more straight forward with what we wanted and expected from her, and she gave it to us! She stayed organized and professional through the entire process, but at the same time was very easy to get along with and understanding and respectful of our time and needs. She never made the distance between us (living in California) ever an issue. She kept meetings with us regularly via Skype and was easily reacheable thru text and/or email throughout the day. She even helped with planning all the events leading up to our wedding day. And when the big day finally come, she and her team made it run smoothly without me having to turn into bridezilla! Saying "we could not have done it without her" is seriously an understatement. She made our dream wedding come true and not only that we walked away from this all with a great friend! Gina Ho and her team is AMAZING and was one of the highlights of my wedding! The only regret I have is not hiring her for my entire wedding coordination, even though she pretty much did help me every step of the way. We had a destination wedding, and I was in Seattle, my fiance was in NYC, and Gina was in Hawaii. Despite being in three different time zones she would promptly get back to me and was so easy to communicate with. I joke because I not only did long distance with my fiance, but also with Gina. Gina made recommendations for my florist, cake, and importantly small details along the way, and all her recommendations were exceptional. The weekend of my wedding, Hurricane Lester and Madeline, were trying to make a celebrity appearance and Gina coordinated everything with my vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. The day ended up being PERFECT. She was even able to get money refunded for the tents we were not able to use. My guest all complimented on how seamless the wedding went, how fun it was, and how impressed they were with my coordinator. I would HIGHLY recommend Perfection to anyone! On top of her superb planning skills, Gina is so sweet and a kind person, who I love having around on my wedding day.
Professional, efficient, and impeccable communication, all with a motherly touch. We would hire Gina again without a second thought, and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone having a wedding on Oahu. I can't imagine anyone going wrong with Gina.
We're still blown away with how terrific Gina was. We hired her for day-of-coordination (2 locations: garden wedding + hotel reception), although she actually started assisting 30 days before the wedding. Some of the highlights:
Fast Communication: Gina responded to EVERY email within 24 hours, and usually within minutes. You don't have any idea how important this is until you are planning your wedding, especially if you're not located in Hawaii. I don't know how she does it, or when she sleeps, but her excellent (and speedy) communication made the whole process of plannng the wedding from abroad pretty painless.
Well-loved: Every vendor we used who had worked with Gina before loved her. They would exclaim it over the phone or proclaim their love via email. Seriously. This said a lot to me. I imagine part of the reason our wedding went so smoothly was that Gina made sure to keep all of our vendors super happy.
Business Woman: Gina simply got things done. She was professional and efficient in everything we did together, and she knew exactly how to handle every vendor, including tricky ones. Do you want a breakdown crew to show up shirtless and hanging around in the corner waiting for your wedding to finish? No, no you don't. Gina knew from the start what vendors would need extra handling, and our wedding finished without a hitch.
Detail-oriented: She found and corrected many small glitches with our original plan, and she was able to quickly find vendors for a small table, PA system, light refreshments (drinks & sandwiches), as well as handle the printing and framing of last-minute brochures, seating charts, and other additions. Life saver!
Motherly: It's hard to explain until you meet her, but Gina feels like like a mother or godmother (in the "don't worry about a thing, dear, I've got it all covered" sort of way). She helped put us at ease for every part of the wedding, from planning to execution to after-care.
I can't speak about other planners (except for one who was terrible at communication, so we ended up canceling our contract with her in order to work with Gina), but I honestly can't imagine anyone regretting hiring Gina, no matter the size of the wedding. She was worth every single penny we paid, and she exceeded our expectations at every turn.

My husband and I had met Gina and her team at Ko'olau Fall Wedding Expo. I'll always remember that a member of her team happened to notice an issue with our venue contract and we were able to resolve the issue before the night was through. Big save on their part. Thus, from the beginning, Gina and her team were keeping an eye on the details. My husband and I considered ourselves pretty organized and on top of things but boy were we humbled when we met with Gina for our meetings leading up to the wedding day. She asked thoughtful questions on things we hadn't even considered. Her expertise and efficiency allowed us to cover many of the issues on that initial meeting so we knew clearly what we needed to work on before the next meeting. Gina really shines through on the week leading up to the event. She paid attention to every detail, covering and preparing for all scenarios to ensure a seamless rehearsal and wedding. Our wedding included 260 guests and a multitude of vendors, and all of the feedback from them were glowing. "So organized!" "So seamless!" were some of the responses we received from guests. She monitored different situations including overzealous guests and other little mishaps with grace. Gina and her team were invaluable in making our dream day a success. Gina is best described as your Fairy Godmother, making your dream day just that, a dream! Working with her in the months leading up to the big day was such a breeze and so much fun. She obviously knows her field and works incredibly hard with the vendors on your behalf and three times as hard on the big day. We had quite a few (big) hiccups the day of and you would never know as Gina and her team handled it with such poise and grace. My husband and I were recently married (5/29/16) at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel in Waikiki. I cannot express how essential Gina was to our wedding preparation and wedding day! I had been planning my wedding from Connecticut, and without Gina, would have been lost. She answered all of our questions, and offered her own professional and personal opinions to assist us further. She organized everything, down to the smallest of details, coordinated with vendors, created the master timeline, and so much more. Gina is a wonderful person who made us feel important and special not only on our day, but leading up to it. My bridal party, parents, and guests raved about how awesome Gina was. Throughout the night my husband, myself, and our bridal party would break into random chanting of Gina's name! That goes to show how appreciated and well liked she was. First of all I would like to apologize for my late review! I recently just got married in Hauula and I couldn't have done it without Gina. I am so lucky I found her! I had the chance to also work with her as one of my clients also used her for her services. Little did I know that the Gina I had been emailing for my bride was also the same Gina recommended by my venue. I was a makeup artist on the island so I had to always talk with different wedding coordinators and she's was one of the only coordinators that really was punctual and did something! She always knew what was going on with her bride and touched base promptly so I knew that I wanted her as my own coordinator after meeting with her. I chose to plan my wedding myself so I got the package of day of coordinator plus 30 days prior. Let me tell you, she helped answer any questions I had prior to those 30 days plus she was very knowledgeable about my venue, PLUS gave me a whole detail list of things I needed to do to have my wedding successful. Everyone kept saying on the day of too that I was so relaxed and I am sure because I trusted Gina to keep everyone in line and make sure everyone was doing their job. She even helped set up my tables so I wouldn't have to do all that the day of which I thought I could (I don't recommend thinking you can). She REALLY knows what she is doing. She's also very trustworthy because she even contacted us after to give us our money back from a alcohol run during the wedding! Basically what I am trying to say is that if you want someone that really cares about your wedding even more than you do... book Gina. She even sent me candid photos that no one else would be able to do because she was right there before I walked down the isle. She is amazing and thank you again Gina! I recently planned my half destination wedding on Oahu, Hawaii. I knew that I would need professional help on the day of my wedding and was looking for someone who would be able to be a type A person so that I wouldn't stress out on the day of the wedding. I hired Gina from Perfection for the job and she was worth every penny.
My husband and I are from the San Francisco Bay Area. My family and friends are all local from Hawaii, while my husband's family and friends were from the East Coast, California, Nevada, and Fiji. Planning a wedding from out of state was a challenge. My husband and I also went through a lot of obstacles along the planning stages that included an unexpected death in the family to illness. When it was time to coordinate with Gina, she helped us get on a timeline and was very meticulous about getting details right. I had so many details planned for the wedding, thanks to Pinterest, that was probably too much to handle. Gina helped me sort through what was necessary and was able to help me see what was okay to leave out to help keep my sanity. She was also amazingly a part time counselor.
The day of the wedding came and I could not have been any happier. Instead of contacting me for any questions, she was in close contact with my bridesmaids and groomsmen. Her team was very professional and very helpful. She planned a very smooth and on time wedding program. She took into account the flow and order of things, a lot of which I could not have foreseen or thought of. My other vendors were impressed on how organized she was and how everything ran smoothly.
In the end, I was very happy with how my day turned out. I was relaxed, happy, and had the most magical time. Gina was well organized, super detailed, patient, easy to work with, went above and beyond, and is a sweetheart. She truly loves her job and it shows in her work. All my thanks goes to Gina for helping me experience one of the most happiest and most magical day of my life.
Gina is AMAZING! My husband and I both agree that our wedding not only wouldn't have happened without her, but it also wouldn't have been the wedding we both dreamed of. I always joked with Gina that I was the worst bride because I was all over the place and never made decisions. But Gina's organizational skills, patience, planning always kept us on the ball.
One of the things that I really appreciates was her ability to really provide us with what we wanted for the wedding and reception, both aesthetically and budget-wise. She provided us with a range of options without making the process feel overwhelming and always had helpful suggestions that did not make us feel she was pushing us one way the other.
I also appreciated her rapport with all of our vendors. After our initial meetings to determine who we would go with, Gina handled everything and immediately set out to answer or get answered any questions we may have had.
Simply put, she is an OUTSTANDING wedding planner.
As for the day of, I couldn't ask for more from Gina. She and her team made the day seamless. Even when we were running a little behind--as every bride knows is inevitable--she was calm and I never felt stressed about the actual event. My guests even commented on how impressed they were with Gina! They saw her and her team constantly moving and making sure that everything, from excusing the guests for the buffet to the program ran smoothly.
Out of all the expenses my husband and I paid for in putting together this wedding, we are both in agreement that the best thing we did was hire Gina. I've already told everyone I know who is even thinking of planning a wedding to hire her.
Gina was amazing! My husband and I didn't lift a finger the day of our wedding! Gina worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was exactly as we planned. Her attention to detail was incredible.
