This team of professional florists delights in producing one-of-a-kind arrangements that showcase love stories. With this team's designs, you can experience a harmonious atmosphere in which unforgettable memories are forged. Matt and Corrina Kulhanek are the husband-and-wife duo behind Petit Fleur Events. Since 2003, this team has had the pleasure of producing beautiful botanical arrangements for weddings. What's more, Matt and Corrina operate under a one-event-per-policy to ensure that your big day will receive the attention to detail it deserves. Through consultations, this team can learn more about your story and the types of design you envision at your wedding. From there, Matt and Corrina can get to work on bringing these visions to life. She did everything she could to stick to our budget while also providing impeccable service. I cannot recommend this vendor enough. The pricing is reasonable, they are reliable, and to be quite honest, they made planning our floral arrangements extremely fun and alleviated all stress from us.

did not, she emailed me a cease and desist letter. She is now threatening me with legal action. I sent the contract, letter, emails straight to an attorney to review who informed me the letter has no legal effect and suggested I simply re word a couple things but absolutely do not have to remove my review. I will not be intimidated, harassed, or paid to delete my honest review.
We had an Indian fusion wedding, and of the 20+ vendors we hired all except 2 were amazing. Corrina at Petit Fleur was one we had CONSTANT issues with (the 2nd- a vendor that Corrina works with and recommended, Utsav Planners, so that says a lot.)

Mrs. Kiara Robinson-Patel and Dr. Vishal Patel MD hired us to design their flowers/décor, after they postponed due to COVID. Kiara was a very stressed, and aggressive client when she initially reached out, as she voiced her frustration in havin...
g to postpone her “dream wedding”. Since a few of her original vendors weren’t available for her new date, she asked if I could pick up the pieces and design her event. Despite what I was told by her original vendors about her behavior, I agreed, as I felt she just needed help regrouping.
Kiara never expressed she was upset. Kiara constantly thanked me for my help, and support. We exchanged over 200 emails in 6 months, in addition to several meetings. I worked very hard for her. Kiara told me she was very happy with everything on her wedding day. It was 3 months later that we received this review.
After receiving her proposal from us, Kiara provided us with copies of the original proposals from her previous vendors and asked to add those services to our contract, so I could handle the execution. After I contacted each vendor, and added those services to our contract, she was shocked by the added cost, which was bizarre, since it was her who sent me, her original contracts, reflecting cost. Nonetheless, we discussed changes she could make to be cost effective, and that was that.
As for Utsav Event Planners, I have worked with them for 15 plus years. They are renowned in the Indian community, and I have referred them dozens of times. Their services were not part of anything Kiara paid us to provide. I facilitated a meeting with them to select her rentals, as a courtesy, since she lives in Georgia. There was a breakdown in communication with Utsav about 10 days before the event. I reached out to Utsav to see if I could help finalize Kiara’s rentals on her behalf, and when I too did not hear back, I encouraged Kiara to use another vendor, and gave her options, and a solution. She insisted on using Utsav, because of these four specific chairs she wanted in her mandap. Unfortunately, Utsav did not provide those four chairs, and did not send their crew back to remove the mandap after the ceremony, so that the reception could be setup. When we heard Kiara’s day-of-coordinator say, it was not something she “was paid to do” when told of the situation, I instructed MY team, to break down and remove her mandap, so her reception could be set-up. I never told Kiara that, nor charged her either. I had her best interest at heart, and just wanted to get it done.
No one is bullying, bribing, or harassing Kiara. I feel it is clear, to any normal person this review is not to warm other clients about us. It is a clear act of malicious intent to cause the most humiliation, and reputable damage, she can. Kiara’s original review was full of defamatory lies. You can legally leave a review, ONLY if it is non-defamatory. It must be true, and you must have corroborating evidence to support your claims. Upon her review, I immediately reached out to Kiara and asked to have an adult conversation, so I could hear her grievances for the first time. I offered to refund her original $500.00 retaining fee as incentive for her feeling our client experience did not surpass her expectations. All things a company does for a dissatisfied customer. Since Kiara did not respond to my email, she left me with no choice but to send a legal request to remove the lies from her review, which she subsequently has done. Kiara has yet to leave a review for Utsav Event Planners on their public platforms regarding their services. Only on my company’s platforms, when I had no control over what they did.

ain wedding day colors were black and gold to keep a simple color palette. We chose a variety of flowers filled with multiple colors to make the florals really stand out. I have worked with Corrina and her team before being in the wedding industry and each time I see her work, she blows me away. And when my wife and I got engaged, we knew that we would hire Corrina and her team. She has a keen eye for attention to detail and her years of being in the industry really showed through her advice and expertise. She provided signage, card holders, our ceremony arch, a farm table for our sweetheart table, candles, vases and votives on top of the florals, too. We had multiple meetings and email exchanges leading up to the day of our wedding to plan, prepare and discuss exactly what we were looking for. We chose to do greenery on our guest tables along with an assortment of candles and vases to really pull out the colors of the florals. For my bridal bouquet, I wanted an unstructured bouquet that wasn’t too heavy but still had a ton of variety and color to really stand out. We had our bridal party wear black and the colors of the flowers really stood out and popped. For boutonnieres, we wanted to do a bohemian style with a pop of color. They took a few hours to set everything up and did a tremendous job working together as a team to set up the reception and ceremony of our dreams. We were truly and absolutely blown away when we saw the space all set up and it was amazing to see what once was a plan on a piece of paper really come to life. I can’t recommend Petit Fleur enough and I can say that if we were planning a wedding all over again, we would hire them in a heartbeat.

really appreciated Corrina's attention to detail and ability to listen to what we wanted and bring our vision to life.
As the bride, I was not overly interested in looking up a million flowers and arrangements on Pinterest or making a detailed Pinterest board (that's just not my jam and I didn't have time to do all of that).
Instead, I just described what I wanted: simple, elegant, and classic floral arrangements -- and sent a few examples of what I liked in general.
Corrina exceeded my expectations on all fronts. She is skilled at making things beautiful. My bridesmaids loved their bouquets.
Notably, I LOVED my bouquet and the half moon arch she created for our wedding ceremony, which was a semi-last minute addition.
If you want amazing flowers and decor at a reasonable price, GO with Petit Fleur Events. You will not regret it.

Corrina was amazing until she wasn't. In my initial request, I explained via email that I would like to explore drapery. Once I met with her via phone and was quoted, I asked her to include drapery for our wedding day. She sent me an "itinerary...
of services", which included drapery at the bottom. I was so excited to book with Corrina, as her work looked amazing and I booked over a year in advanced. In June 2022 (2 months prior to my wedding), my first installment was due. I reached out to Corrina to confirm if my installment included the drapery. She responded to me and told me she did not contract a vendor for draping, as I was unsure if I wanted it. I sent her back the itinerary of services and explained it was listed on the bottom and she insisted that was a copy she sent me a few weeks prior when I told her I wanted it. However, I did not have an email from her after our last call, a few weeks prior, and the itinerary was sent directly from my 2021 emails. Her responses to me were insulting and rude and she assured me this "wasn't her mistake". She emailed back and forth with me for hours, insisting that the drapery was an optional service, although no where on the itinerary was it designated as optional. She repeatedly sent me the same itinerary of services after we made changes and insisted she was sending new ones, however the old one kept coming through.
When I went into the showroom for a mock-up, the staff were lovely and could not have been nicer. However, they mocked up my tables with candle votives that were not the same as the ones I received day of. I believe I received the ones I was quoted for, but I was shown more elegant votives and additional candles.
If you are interested in seeing how she responds to clients, I urge you to take a look at her responses to the negative reviews she has received. Fortunately for me, her flowers were beautiful and that's why she still has two stars on this review.

The drapery was a line item included at the bottom of the original proposal and was not factored into the cost or part of the deposit and contract pricing. Allyson was not sure if it ...
would fit her budget, so I put it at the bottom for her information, well below the financial breakdown of the costs. It was not until our 60-day design meeting that she asked about the drapery again. I said it might be a bit late to find a vendor for the drapery but would get right on it. I found a vendor, had a drapery package designed and a contract for it drawn up within a day, and Allyson still passed on adding the drapery due to cost. I am not sure what more I could have done.
It is common practice to show clients rental options for different vessels, candles, and rentals at their mockup meeting, which was done for Allyson. Allyson did want to pay for a breakdown or rental pickup at the end of the event and wanted single use votive candles that were disposed of at the end of evening. That is what she received. She was also allowed to keep $300.00 worth of cylinder vases, so she didn’t have to pay for a late-night pick-up fee, or drive to Ferndale to return them. We discussed all of this at length, and it was clearly listed on her itinerary of services. Again, I have apologized to Allyson for the confusion on what candles she thought she purchased.
In our email thread, there were different versions of the itinerary throughout it. It was a simple email issue that was corrected when I started a new email thread. I apologized to Allyson that my emails were coming across as rude that day, there were a lot of emails going back and forth, and I couldn’t give her any other results than I already was. She herself said I emailed her for hours, so I was doing all I could to resolve her concerns.
I have reached out to Allyson to apologize and give her an opportunity to talk to me, as this review was how I found out she was upset. I thought I had resolved everything and that she was happy, as she had said she was. I am glad Allyson loved her flowers. We are grateful to have been a part of their special day.

Throughout our meetings, we had discussed a garland running down the center of my large captains head table; about a week or two before the wedding, Corrina reached out recommending adding height to our captain's table to really help it stand out with a statement piece. She shared videos of her vision with me, and I was immediately in love with the idea. Although it was over an additional grand added to my invoice so close to the wedding, she was willing to work with me to save money in some other areas, and she even ended up throwing in a good amount of complimentary florals/greenery. Also, super important to note here, she was not pushy with this idea in the least. In the end, the head table piece was BREATHTAKING and it was the perfect backdrop to line the back of my dancefloor later in the night. I got non stop compliments on all of my florals, and that is all thanks to Corrina and her guidance. She's truly a human working superhuman miracles, and she's extremely easy to speak with on the level I would with a friend. She was easy to work because she is knowledgeable and has a genuine passion for what she does as evident by her ability to execute my vision almost flawlessly. My reasons for not giving 5 stars are as follows: I paid a 4.5% credit card fee for my final payment which was higher than outlined in my contract (3.5%). After initially booking, I reached out 8/1 to go over details/make payment but she was unavailable until 8/18 then rescheduled for 9/8 which meant I couldn’t cut anything over $500 from our initial discussion in January. I attempted to express budget concerns anyway but i guess it was to late and when I changed centerpieces for my cocktail tables (to just baby’s breath) to save money it would have been nice to know that they were a flat fee so it didn’t matter. The boutonnières did not hold up at all becauses the rose was too heavy which surprised me because I let Corrina pick them (this was minor). At my initial consultation I was informed of a visual example of my tablescape prior to my wedding which was part of the reason I booked, but that did not happen and after my initial review she clarified this was an additional expense. We didn’t have a meeting two weeks prior to go over details which or make final payment. I dropped my check off in the mailbox and informed her, but never received confirmation that it was received. All in all I loved my flowers and overall had a near perfect 4/5 star experience!

They also provided other beautiful decorations such as candle holders and a terrarium box of cut flowers for guests to put in their hair. Finally, they had no trouble making changes and accommodations, even when I found out we would need more floral arrangements for 2 additional tables with just 2 weeks to go! They’re fun, friendly, and attentive to detail, and overall I highly recommend Petit Fleur, especially for floral design!

me and I would not recommend her services to any bride. I believe that her quality and design skills can be found in countless other florists in the metro Detroit area and I urge brides to consider other florists to avoid having the experience I did. We invested $3,800 in florals with Petit Fleur. This is a lot of money for us and we expected to have a better experience.
Corinna’s tone was almost always condescending when interacting with us. Most of the time, when we approached her with ideas, requests or concerns she acted personally offended and spoke to us rudely about why she couldn’t/wouldn’t/shouldn’t make changes or honor our requests. Most times we contacted her, she acted put out by us. Corinna had difficulties keeping appointments (she rescheduled one last minute, no-showed us for scheduled phone call meeting, and only called us back for the last scheduled phone meeting with her after we called twice and left a voicemail). She lost her record of an almost $2,000 check from us and asked that we send evidence from our bank making sure we sent it. She apologized for this which we were grateful for.
On Monday before my wedding we had a scheduled meeting to finalize everything (we would have finalized everything earlier, had she not no-showed our phone meeting and neglected our emails for a full week). From the moment she picked up the phone, Corrina took a rude and condescending tone with us. We asked if it would be possible for her to add peonies to our bouquets. Corinna made it clear that she was livid with us for making the request and said that this was not the first time we’d seen the itinerary-which was true- we overlooked that peonies were left out. (Peonies were added and we are thankful).
Corrina also told us that she was dealing with difficulties in her personal life and she stated that she couldn't believe she had to “deal with our peonies” while she was going through a difficult time. Dropping pretenses, my mother said her that her tone was very rude and she asked why Corinna was in business if she was going to let her personal life affect her interactions with clients this much. This was a valid point- Corrina bringing her personal life into the conversation was unprofessional and manipulative. Corinna went into a rage and wouldn’t let my mother speak to her. She kept just saying “Ma’am I will not speak to you any longer.” My mom apologized to her. Corrina simply said her contract was with me, so she will not be speaking to my mother again. I was shocked that Corrina was treating my mom this way- a woman who trusted her with her daughter’s special day and paid her almost 4 grand! Corrina said we were lucky that she didn’t pass off our wedding to another florist and we were lucky that she stuck with us. I got off the phone sobbing. Any other florist would have just told us in a friendly tone that the design change was too difficult to make at this stage. Our request did not in ANY WAY warrant Corrina’s reaction.
Throughout this process, we responded to Corrina with cordially even when she was condescending and rude to us. I feel that after an experience like this, we should be given some sort of refund. However, Corrina didn’t even apologize for her behavior that day.

iness people will tell you to do. This is such a personal attack on me and my creditability, I feel I would like to respond as a real person taking care to be as professional as I possibly can in such a personal situation.
This review is the second review with the same verbiage from the same family as we had two cousin’s weddings one month apart. Once this family retained our services it quickly went down-hill and honestly, no matter how hard I tried to please them, I couldn’t. They made design appointments and would come in and argue with each other and me about anything from the fact that I had to use tape to construct my bouquets to the amount of ribbon I had to use to cover the tape to me not having access to European bouquet holders that I had never seen before. When I could not accommodate their impossible requests, I was berated by this Bride and her Mother about my customer service and my unwillingness to accommodate my client’s. They would then ask for credits on their bill for the inconvenience which I did not issue. This made them increasingly aggressive and angry with me over time. It was about 4 months into our planning that I offered to refund their deposit, so they could find a florist they were more comfortable with and they passed. I never told them four days before the wedding “they were lucky I didn’t pass them off to another florist”. This doesn’t make sense was we were accepting their flowers the next day and were paid in full. They passed on finding a new florist at that time, so we moved forward with our designing. I always remained professional and did not engage in their conflict. In the end, I delivered everything I promised in which they admit was beautiful in their reviews.
- We never asked for proof of a payment because we lost it, there was a discrepancy in what they thought they owed and what we had on record, so I asked for copies of the payments they made to date so I could rectify the billing as two people were mailing two different payments and one of the payments did not say what wedding/client it was for.
- In a year and a half of working with them, I rescheduled one in-person appointment. They would email me and set a time to call me and at times, I was unavailable for their requested time and would tell them that and they would call me anyways and then be angry I didn’t answer their call. Ali and her Mother on the Monday before their event emailed me and said they would be calling me at 9 am as they needed to change something in their order. I emailed them back and told them I was unavailable to talk on the phone until after 2 pm. At 9 am they began calling my cell phone back-to-back, so I stepped out to take their call. They informed me that they wanted to add Peonies to their bouquets. I explained that I would have to find out if I could get them as the floral order was being delivered to me the next day and it may be too late. I also explained it would add $170.00 in cost. They both began yelling at me about that and said I should pay for them and add them for free since they’re the customer. I explained to them I could not have this discussion right now and that I would need to call them back. The Mother told me I was to finish the conversation now and that is when I said, “I am standing in a chemo ward at the hospital and I am not going to argue with you about Peonies at this time”. The Mother began to attack me again saying “I shouldn’t be conducting business if my personal life is preventing me to serve my clients”. I excused myself, told Ali I would get her Peonies and got off the phone. This is the comment that Ali said I made about my “personal problems” that was “manipulative and unprofessional”. There was no RAGE as I was in a VERY quiet area of a hospital and did not want to disrupt the patients. Honestly, the version of this conversation that Ali left in her review is chilling and disturbing.
After reading this review and trying to mentally process such an attack, I emailed Ali and told her I was shocked by her review and told her that I would pray for her and that I hope she never has to deal with suffering or loss in her family and that she finds peace in her soul. I have not offered her a refund.
Quality and Design was amazing! She knew exactly what I wanted and made it fit our budget perfectly. Being that she is a busy owner be sure to keep track of the timing and payment schedule yourself, reminders are a minimum.

Unfortunately I felt that we had a lot of problems getting on the same page. To the point that some of the responses I got were quite condescending because she did not understand what I was saying. I did not feel like I was a top priority for her or that she really wanted my opinions on things. I will say that when we had a miscommunication about budget she corrected it but only after I sent an email about how incredibly disappointed I was.
In the end, beautiful product but definitely not worth the hassle and what I felt was mistreatment.

to respond as quickly as I can to emails. I am sorry if I ever came across condescending but email lacks emotion and voice tone so maybe there was a misunderstanding somewhere. I have reached out to her and apologized to her for making her feel that way. It was never my intent. Quite often an email from a client will require me to research something, redesign something, contact the venue for more information or is something that needs a bit of more work on my end to respond and it is not that simple to immediately respond. Michelle could have reached out to me for a phone call at any time and could have spoken to me personally if my email responses weren’t quick enough. I am sorry if my voicemail put her off. Heck, I even text with my clients for easier accessibility.
Michelle never expressed to me that she was upset about anything at all until she added peonies and garden roses to her centerpieces at the last minute and that added $92.00 to her total. I sent her the final bill and she approved it, so we ordered her flowers. A week later she came back and said she wasn’t paying the additional $92.00 for the extra flowers we added as she said it was a lot of money and didn’t think it would cost more to add more flowers. I apologized that she was upset that the change she made cost more and I took the $92.00 off her bill and still allowed her to keep the peonies and garden roses since I had already ordered them in hopes of making her happy. I thought I had handled this situation to her satisfaction and that she was happy as that is what she conveyed to me. In my opinion, I tried to give her great customer service as I do with all my clients. I really poured my heart into her event and tried hard to make sure she was happy. In all honesty, it's hard to say when we would have discussed the bouquets- we had one design meeting, and as the wedding day approached Corrina never made the effort to reach out to confirm the fine details or even check in. Most of the time we talked I felt that she was busy/ overwhelmed or bothered by me. Again, most of our correspondences were via email- and certainly things like this can get lost in translation, so this is just how I felt/ my interpretation. I'm minusing a star for these reasons, but otherwise, the centerpieces were beautiful, along with the linen and overall colors/ flowers! Also, our flowers lasted for weeks!
UPDATE: Corrina reached out promptly to address my concerns, and apologized for my interpretation of our interactions. She even offered to refund the bridal bouquet, which I didn't take her up on, because despite it not being what I wanted, it was still a beautiful bouquet that clearly took a lot of energy and effort. At the end of the day, I am a happy customer with the product, and pleased that Corrina took the time to reach out regarding my concerns!

They responded to my initial inquiry with a form for me to fill out. I spent 10 minutes completing the form and uploading pictures. After I returned the form, I received an email stating they don't take events on with a budget of less than $3,000!
I'm upset that they didn't state the budget requirement upfront before I wasted my time completing a lengthy and comprehensive form. I also think it is bad form to refuse business. I was prepared to spend upwards of $300 for my bridal bouquet alone, which I expected to be a fair budget for high quality flowers. Apparently I was wrong.

We have been in business since 2003. We specialize in only special events and provide one on one personal event styling with all your floral and décor needs!
