Located in Brooklyn, NY, Pheasant is a full-service catering company and restaurant providing delicious meals for weddings and other special events. From relaxed buffets to three-course fine dining experiences, they offer a wide range of catering options to suit celebrations of all kinds. Pheasant is owned by Cat Alexander and her husband Vincent Fraissange, who also serves as Executive Chef. The couple operate their catering business from their restaurant in Brooklyn. They specialize in fresh, locally-sourced seasonal produce, and use only grass-fed, grain-free, and free-range meat. For your convenience, Pheasant offers delivery, setup, and cleanup services, and will supply event essentials such as flatware, glassware, barware, linens, and more. They can even provide tables and chairs if needed. The business works with a number of excellent local florists and planners that they can recommend for you if you need help with organizing your event. They also offer a range of bar packages for you to choose from, and can take care of dessert, breakfast, and brunch as well as dinner. Your reception meal can be served as a buffet, a plated dinner, food stations, hors d'oeuvres, or family-style. Some of the delectable food options they offer include wild Gulf shrimp, an antipasti table, whole-roasted striped bass, and much more.

nt is superb to work with. They made several custom dishes for us including a special fish entree as a nod to my Chinese heritage, adjusting dishes to be season appropriate, and a special canape and starter because my partner and I had a whim. Lola patiently responded to an absolutely ridiculous amount of questions, including filling out a 23 row table of dietary restrictions for every item. The expertise of the entire Pheasant team is clear. They knew what to avoid (for example, certain fish or frying styles because of the smell) and exactly how the schedule should be set for everything to run smoothly. I think there was exactly one suggestion of Cat's I didn't take and, of course, she was right in the end. If you're working with a raw event space, Cat's background in design is especially useful. Pheasant took care of every rental need and set up the space flawlessly, down to crisp corners on every table cloth. The pheasant team are exceptional at what they do and exceptional people. a family style dinner and everyone had more than enough to eat - we really didn't want anyone to leave hungry! Our cocktails and wines were all amazing and very special - many people asked us for the exact wines so they could get them on their own! We had a lovely tasting a few weeks ahead of time so the menu would reflect what was seasonable at the time, which was important to us. And it's really nice for us to be able to go back to the restaurant to celebrate with just ourselves and with friends. They were very accommodating with my gluten allergy and we were able to have options for vegetarians and vegans. Can't recommend highly enough!

Meet the Team

Cat Alexander & Vincent Fraissange

Owner

Chef Fraissange grew up in restaurants in Vancouver, spending summers with his grandparents in Sancerre and along the Mediterranean. At 19, Vince worked as an apprentice at Vancouver BC’s acclaimed Le Crocodile and spent the next seven years moving up the ranks in the city’s best kitchens, eventually meeting Cat on business in 2009. The rest was history. Cat Alexander moved to NYC to attend NYU. After graduating, she worked in film and television for several years until she transitioned to design. A lifelong appreciator of cuisine, Alexander’s partnership with Fraissange makes perfect sense.
