phillip Stone is the designated caterer for Lyndhurst property in Tarrytown. I booked my wedding about 18 months in advance and in that time frame dealt with three catering managers. When our initial catering manager quit, no one filled us in... or kept us aware of what was going on, the second manager was an absolute moron, but luckily third times a charm and our final catering manager was Brandon Harris who was an absolute delight to work with. Throughout the final 8 months of planning Brandon was excellent at communication, easy to reach, honest, professional, and helpful, and quick to set up meetings whenever I needed them. The tasting was accommodating and delicious and the food choices are fantastic and plentiful. The cocktail hour had 10 passed appetizers, and two stations (though the options are endless depending on what you’d like to spend), the bar package is good with the option to add on additional signature cocktails. Tayla was our maître D and was super helpful with us dropping all of our décor items off as well as setting things up the day of. Brandon ran an exceptional day of- he kept calm and was very organized and had everyone comfortable. Our bridal attendant went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, she was so incredibly helpful. The day of the wedding there was an issue with the decorations for the ceremony space even though we were clear about what we would be doing, they made our florist change it last minute. The food was good although I found the fish to be far less remarkable than what we were given at the tasting. Everyone at the wedding seemed to be rather pleased with the food, especially the dessert parade and cocktail hour. My biggest issue with the catering was the fact that twice throughout the night the venue ran out of red wine. When my father asked for a glass at the cocktail hour the bartender said “We ran out up here, but you can walk to the carriage house and get some,” and I found that to be wildly inappropriate since he was throwing the entire event, I just feel that for the cost that issue should’ve never came up. With that being said I think if Brandon was notified he probably would’ve fixed the problem as he did a seamless job of handling the many difficult aspects of the wedding throughout the day.
