Between the coordinator Lauren and banquet manager Mary, all the fine details were under control. Everything from napkin folds, time agenda, vendor arrivals/pick-ups, and matches for our memorial candle. Mary even jumped in and bustled my dress before the grand entrance to our reception! I haven't mentioned the food - we had family stay at the Buttes the entire weekend...people couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was, including the meal for our wedding. We will be forever grateful to everyone at the Buttes for helping to create the most perfect, magical wedding day. Do yourself a favor and pay the Buttes a visit to experience the views, resort feel, and top-notch staff.

of town guests! Not only was it the best day ever, but we worked with Lauren and her team, and well as many of the Buttes staff all over the property and they made everything happen effortlessly! Everything was amazing, not only for us but we heard from our guests as well! The food was great, our ready rooms and wedding night suite was superb, and our guests didn't want to leave. We would highly recommend getting married here, and can't wait to come back for staycations ourself!!

We held our ceremony in the morning at the waterfall site and received a number of compliments from our guests about how beautiful the scenery was. Our reception was in the Tequila on the Rocks room and was the perfect size for our guests. The view from the room was incredible and enhanced the decor of the room. We opted for a lunch buffet and all of the food was truly amazing. The waitstaff even used some of our leftover decor and made displays for the serving area which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this venue. It was a fantastic value with breathtaking views.

She also was present on Sunday for our brunch, even though we are aware that Sunday is her day off. She graciously handled every detail to make sure every one of our guests was comfortable. Thank you for providing Ms. Sloane Hanson; she is an asset to the Marriott. Shawn Burton Assistant Front Office Manager was extremely helpful during our stay. We found all employees at the front desk to be gracious and willing to address our needs and the needs of our guests. It was a pleasure to work with everyone at the Buttes and we will always have wonderful memories of a beautiful weekend.

She made everything possible and easy! My guests were impressed by the friendly and hospitable staff. We all agreed that the food was delicious and the presentation of it was outstanding! The natural beauty of the Buttes is one of a kind. We enjoyed the elegance of the resort while it also provided a fun and relaxing time. In fact, we extended our stay there to continue to enjoy ourselves one extra day! There were several other weddings going on the weekend we got married and I still felt like she gave us the time and attention that we needed. We had our ceremony on the waterfall deck which was just a beautiful back drop and our reception and cocktail hour at Tequila on the Rocks (located below Top of the Rock). We were originally going to have the reception in a small section of the Market Café, but once Sloane had our final guest count she asked us about moving it to Tequila on the Rocks where we’d have a little more room. We came back in and looked over the space and decided to move it and were very happy we did. It was a great suggestion on her part. We couldn’t have been happier with choosing The Buttes for our day!

n I walked into the Top of the Rock, I was amazed at the transformation. The room took my breath away. It was the perfect setting for the reception. The views of the city were spectacular which just added to the drama of the night. The wait staff was always very attentive and everything, right down to the serving of the cake, went off perfectly and on time!!

I went in with the crazy nerves a bride has on choosing the location and being confident about it and i was extremely impressed with the knowledge Sloane had in knowing where to find a good florist, a good minister or pastor, and food,ideas, and was so open to letting us do things that we wanted to as well. Not only did they offer the things i wanted they let us go above and beyond to bring things in that we custom made and was so helpful with everything. I have only good things to say about our experience and if anyone is looking for a classy yet fun and crazy place.. this is the place!! Also the food was AMAZING and the 115 people that attended our wedding had amazing things to say about the dinner and the service!! I am so glad we chose to have our wedding there and so excited to go back to hang out and enjoy the hotel as well! They take amazing care of you and i recommend them to EVERYONE!!! We had a lot of guests in from out of town and they could not stop raving about the wonderful service they received from the moment they checked in. The wedding itself was more than we ever could have imagined. Every detail was accounted for and we had an amazing party that our guests are still talking about to this day. I would recommend them over and over again!

I am normally NOT the person to sit down and write a review of anything online much less fill out even a short survey, but this time is worth it! I always feel you get what you pay for, regardless of the situation, and I can attest weddings are expensive! However, Sloane Hansen at The Buttes made the whole process extremely simple and FUN at the same time. Everyone will always tell you, “This is a one-time event!” Or “You only get married once, so spend the extra dollar!” I truly felt I was not spending “extra” money for our wedding day because every dollar we spent was 1,000 times worth it. Just the ceremony site, professionalism of the Marriot staff, and Sloane’s organization alone, were worth every penny! Everything we expected the Marriot to handle…they did. The requirements of Sloane as our Wedding coordinator were surpassed. Above all, our anticipation of a lavish top notch resort catered wedding weekend was far exceeded! One key item to note: The marriage is for the bride and groom, however; the “wedding show” is for all your guests. With that being said I can guarantee each and every guest of ours would agree with what was mentioned above!

wedding budget together, we just assumed The Buttes would be way out of our price range because of how lavish the resort was, so we didn’t immediately consider them for our venue. About 5 months before our wedding, the venue we thought we were going to use was not working well with us on the hotel room rate for our out of town guests, so we went back to square one and started looking again. Obviously I was very frustrated at this point, which my husband could see, so he picked up the phone and called The Buttes. During that initial phone call, he found out that our date was available and they confirmed a much lower room rate for our guests. Knowing that, we immediately set up an appointment to meet with Sloane. During our meeting with her, not only did she match, and in some cases beat, the prices from the other venue, she exceeded the quality and quantity of what they were offering. She made everything so easy to understand, and was also very comforting and assuring about what they could do for our wedding. From that moment until our wedding day, she was always available whenever we needed something. Some of my family members had issues getting their rooms booked, and she said “just direct them straight to me and I will take care of it”. Which she did. At this point Sloane was more like a family friend rather than our wedding coordinator! Come wedding day, April 6th 2012, everything was perfect. The trees and flowers at the pool ceremony location were beautifully in bloom just as Sloane had promised. She did an amazing job orchestrating the moments leading up to the ceremony, which can be difficult when you’re dealing with a large wedding party like ours! Everyone was where they needed to be at the right times, and in my eyes all was calm and smooth. For the reception, the hall was beautiful. It was everything I had told Sloane I wanted, and more. But most importantly, the food was outstanding. We received so many comments from our guests that night, and several months after, on how pleased they were with the meal. I would say that is one of the things that was most remembered by our guests. We chose to do a buffet, and because we were getting married on Good Friday, the chef really worked with us to come up with wonderful selections that would cater to everyone. All said and done, based on how great our experience was with The Buttes, I would highly recommend choosing them for your wedding venue. Sloane and her team really went above and beyond to make our day special and memorable.

fore the wedding was to start, our guest were escorted to the Water Fall Deck where the ceremony was to be held. The 5th floor bridge walkway provides a beautiful setting for my bride to walk down. Very Romantic!! More pictures were taken on the Marriott property after the wedding during the sunset. The reception was held at Tequila on the Rocks (at the facility). Great place to have a meal and dance! We received many comments from our guests about how they enjoyed the Marriott. Everything from the rooms to the food to the pools and hot tubs. We used all of the recommend partners of the Marriott (Officiant, DJ, Flowers, Cake) and were very happy with all of them. The Marriott can also accommodate much bigger parties as well. We recommend the Marriott at The Buttes to those couples looking for a great wedding experience for themselves and their guests.

The staff at the resort was so great to us, and made sure our stay was perfect. We got numerous compliments on the food served at our dinner. The chef has so much to offer, its NOT NORMAL WEDDING FOOD! :) Must mentioned, a few days after we were ready to check out the bell hop guys congratulated us. I was so thankful for all they had done for us throughout our wedding weekend, I hugged them. I highly recommended The Buttes in Tempe!
