PINE MOUNTAIN AWAITS
251 to 300 guests
Located just 3 miles from Ford airport, Pine Mountain Golf and Ski Resort is a stunning wedding venue in Iron Mountain, MI. Not only can you celebrate in style, but you and your loved ones can enjoy world-class skiing and play some rounds on the award-winning Timberstone Golf Course here.
With a multitude of sites on the property, you are spoilt for choice. For one, the Spruce Room is the largest of them all. Overlooking the hills and the pine forest, this space can accommodate up to 210 guests. If you have a larger guest list, you can use the same alongside the Alpine and Sitzmark for an additional 140. While the Alpine Room can host up to 110 guests, the Sitzmark Bar caps off at 75. Both feature a stone fireplace and built in-bar guaranteed to help make merry and memories in equal measure. It is worth mentioning that the Sitzmark Bar is Pine Mountain’s historical jewel. The walls and floors are part glider crates and part roof rafters, constructed from salvaged material from the Ford Motor Company during World War II. Alternatively, gather around on the sun deck for an open-air event full of love, light, and laughter. With ample space for 400 guests, the Timberstone Courtyard is another option. The golf course in the backdrop is stellar for those all-important photographs.
The staff at Pine Mountain loves to make your dream wedding come to life. You can bank on their professionalism, drive, and commitment to making your day successful and seamless. In-house catering will also treat you to the very best season has to offer, be it for the reception dinner or wedding breakfast.

For the amount of money one pays for a wedding, a bride and groom should be able to go into their day knowing they will get the best experience. This was not the case at all. False promises, rude staff/management, horrible dining experience, etc. Bride and groom were given a cheap plastic arch that kept falling over for the ceremony when showed and promised that their arch would be a solid wood one, bride and groom were promised that golfing on the 18th hole of timber stone would be re routed during the ceremony(that was a lie), FOOD WAS 2 HOURS LATE AT THE CEREMONY! Orders were wrong, allergies were not taken seriously as previously stated in the contract, bride and groom paid for late night pizzas that were never brought out. When the food finally came out for the ceremony it was cold and the portions were a joke. The bride received 2 little pieces of beef tips, one being so hard she couldn’t bite through. During the first dance and mother/son dance, the kitchen staff thought it would be a great idea to wheel all the dirty dishes through the dance floor, blocking the view of the videographer. Then laughed at the photographers/wedding guests when asked to kindly move. The bar was shut down early even after having everything run late because of incompetent staff, bride and groom had to order pizzas from outside establishment so their guests could be fed properly. It was truly a shame all around by this resort. And to top it all off for the lovely bride and groom… they sold their wedding suite to someone else and gave them a room in the “mountain haus” which had mold on the pillows, crumbs and dust all over, a disgusting AC unit, blinds missing sections so people could see in, and dead bugs all over the room. The list goes on and on for this joke of an establishment. Completely unprofessional. As a resort, I would be ashamed and embarrassed to know that you failed so bad on someone’s most important day. I would not recommend this venue to ANYONE looking. Save your money and elope, because this place was an absolute nightmare.

Where to start. We recently had our wedding at timber stone/pine mountain. A very important day in our lives. We were met with a lot of false promises and overall absolute unprofessionalism. To begin, we were charged for the use of an arch for the ceremony which was supposed to be this beautiful wooden arch and were given a cheap plastic arch that kept falling over and was told it was our responsibility to make it stable. We were promised the 18th hole would not be golfed during the ceremony, golf continued on, and our pictures have a bunch of random golfers in the background. When it came time for dinner…. It was 2 hours late! There were supposed to be dinner rolls that never came out. The portions were an absolute joke(bride got 2 little pieces of beef tips), one being so tough she couldn’t bite through it. The orders were wrong. People with allergies that were noted in our contract were ignored and served those items anyway. Meanwhile, the kitchen staff thought it was hilarious the whole time people would bring up these issues. Luckily, we had plenty of desserts, so our guests didn’t go completely hungry. We also paid for “late night pizzas” and when we asked for them, seeing as they were already late on that as well, we were told they had no idea about them and couldn’t make them due to lack of dough… we ended up ordering pizzas elsewhere so our guests could be fed better than they would provide. They shut the bar down at 11, even with everything running late. The whole reception was just an unorganized mess from Pine Mountain. Then to top it all off they gave away our bride and groom suite, we got moved to another room in the mountain haus which had mold on the pillow, crumbs and dust all over, blinds were missing panels…. The list goes on and on… Luckily we have amazing family and friends that did make the day/night enjoyable, but pine mountain as a resort should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of competence they all showed throughout this event. It is truly disappointing, and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for anyone searching for a venue.

As a wedding photographer, it isn't always easy to find wedding vendors that are accommodating, friendly and amazing to work with from the planning process to the actual big day - Pine Mountain Resort is all of this and so much more! Our couples that we have worked with have raved about working with Cameron and the Pine Mountain Resort team. The Resort is newly remodeled and beautiful inside and outside (you can beat their overlook on Pine Mountain!), the food is delicious and their team is so friendly. The team ensures every couple's dream comes true for their big day!
The Photos by Ciera team highly recommends Pine Mountain Resort to our couples who have not yet found a venue and we look forward to working with them again for future weddings!

Ceremony was held at Timberstone Golf Course just off the Pine Mountain Ski Lodge, very beautiful fall setting for first week of October. Bar staff was very accommodating to guest for drinks and shelter in the Clubhouse after. Large paved parking lot. Golfers were still golfing, but were very kind and we had fun with them mixing in. Pictures were taken at various spots on the course.
We had a reception of about 275 at the Ski Lodge and the upstairs ball rooms were very spacious and accommodating for different groups of people to talk, dance, drink and eat. We had plated dinners which were delivered very well, on time, and everyone was very pleased with the flavors and portions. The Asiago Stuffed Chicken and Lemon Basil Salmon were especially tasty and well prepared by Chef Logan and his Staff.
A large deck with a big fireplace was great to have and we had two bars open inside which seemed to keep everyone content for drinks until 2 a.m. Cleanup was done without notice by the Pine Mountain Staff, gifts were even locked in the back bar overnight very neatly.
Although it was tough at times working around the new ownership's decision to start some parking lot construction and remodeling of the lodge/hotel the week of the event without notice, Cameron Kazianka (Event Coordinator) did a outstanding job planning and organizing everything. The ceremony venue was setup the night before for rehearsal, and everything was on point all the way up to the cleanup and bill pay Sunday morning. He is easy to work with and is great at getting back with quick and detailed information. He was very kind and accommodating throughout the whole process with all of our requests - even some out of the norm for the resort.
Besides the construction timing, and some small hotel reservation issues, everyone had a great time overall and the fall colors were peaked and present during our wedding. Famers Bar (Home of the U.P. Hall of Fame) downstairs is open early for breakfast and football on the many TVs - all in all great venue for a weekend in the U.P. any time of year!

Cameron is great to work with. Our wedding went smoothly and he even made some simple suggestions that made the whole thing come together. Later in the evening, he brought down a platter of pastys for us all to eat as a late night snack. He thinks of everything! The whole venue is undergoing renovations and will be up to date very soon!
