Imagine trying to plan a wedding… now imagine trying to plan a wedding from 7000 miles away with a 10-hour time difference. That’s what we had to do, and in under 1 year.
I am from Colorado, and my husband is from Bahrain. We met in Colorado a...nd had recently moved to Bahrain full time. However, we always wanted to get married somewhere in the mountains in Colorado. So, we knew “where” we wanted to get married. Everything else was up for grabs.
Some little girls plan their wedding day from age 5…I personally never thought about it. So, I knew from the start that we needed help with this wedding, and the first struggle was to find the right wedding planner to help us out. We had contacted the top five wedding planners from The Knot in our region, including Casey at Pink Diamond Events. Out of the handful of planning services that we contacted, Casey was the only one to personally reach out straight away. The rest came back with auto-mail responses, inconsistent follow-ups, or no responses at all.
Let’s just say, looking back at it, we are so happy that was the case. Casey was just perfect.
Initially, we were wondering what was the right amount to spend on a wedding planner. Now, both my husband and I can safely say Casey was worth every last cent.
Casey was on top of everything, and she made sure we were informed every step of the way. To start, she had a long chat with us to understand what we both wanted from our big day. Then, for each wedding checklist item, she gave us options, got us quotes, helped with any questions during the selection process, handled communication with the selected vendors, dealt with logistics and made sure everything turned out as planned.
It is important for all you future brides to know that Casey and her team have tons of experience and contacts locally, and they know most of the vendors personally from previous jobs and therefore know how to manage expectations and delivery. From a financial perspective, Casey maintained a detailed budget for the event, and uses a great website to properly communicate estimated costs and budgets with her clients. She really listened to us. There was never a point that I felt she was pushing us to include costs we were unsure of, and was able to translate what we wanted into our budget.
Last but not least, the wedding day was perfection. Casey and her team had everything planned so perfectly that both my husband and I, and all our family members, did not have to worry about anything on the day. We just had a blast with all our guests and enjoyed every minute of our big day. One of the most frequent comments we received from guests was that our wedding ran so smoothly. We even had a few last-minute changes (literally day before) and Casey’s team handled it gracefully. She was on-site with her team for both our welcome dinner the night before, and the wedding day & reception.
