For Pinnacle Weddings, Davis was our DJ, 5/5 (see separate review).
As for the Month of package, I loved the planning website, aisleplanner, and found it very easy to use, but the time period between the first conversation with owner, Linda, a...nd when you speak with your personal planner is long, and I experienced some frustrations the week of my wedding. My personal planner was Hayli, who was wonderful to work with.
Overall my wedding ended up absolutely fantastic, especially with much assistance from friends/family who last minute helped with setup/breakdown after I was told that the original person from Pinnacle who was supposed to work my wedding did not know he had a wedding to work, and so my planner’s husband was going to take his place, but it was going to cost a good chunk of change due to an increase in what the set up layout involved. I was very upset as I was emailed this 2 days prior to my wedding and was made to feel that I had expected free help from Pinnacle’s part (which was untrue) and, in addition, had been (or was going to be) working my planner extra hours and in general above her duties (I asked Hayli several times if that was the case and she said no, and if I was I would expect her to speak up directly to me). I was never given a quote to begin with for the setup/break down help, and I was happy to hire the rental company to do so, but was told Pinnacle would have someone who I would pay, and it was not made clear to me that we would need both—and if we did, why is it just now being looked at? I had the setup finalized by summer on the website. The only changes from our initial conversation back in February were an additional set of garden padded chairs instead of only one type (that would have been moved to a second space later) and I wanted different chairs inside, which now needed some cushions tied on. Maybe I took this too personally, but I was incredibly hurt by the email, as I had taken extra precaution to try and make everyone’s jobs easier. I am very grateful for my friends/family who agreed to help with setup/breakdown and the whole day was completed in less than the 10 hours contracted. Linda did send me an apology email, and offered to pay for Hayli’s husband’s help, however after already recruiting help and feeling how I did, I did not want that. Again, I want to emphasize that this day could not have gone as beautifully as it did without Hayli.
Wedding day, the place was GORGEOUS and Hayli kept two Christian/Hindu ceremonies coordinated and adjusted the times as needed, which is no easy task. This was her first Hindu wedding, and I didn’t have much I could tell her ahead of time, but she rolled with the punches. She made sure both my husband and I had food/water, and some time away from everyone to breathe. She very quickly learned about us and what was important to us, and that meant a lot to me.
I am frustrated that I am missing two items from my personal decor—a wooden sign and one cake topper—the second having significant sentimental value, as it is of my dog whom I lost unexpectedly, but now all efforts are up to me to find these items. I also had bad luck with my rental vendor especially in the last month, and wish I had more hands-on help with that. I am very grateful for Pinnacle Weddings, but wish the communication was better (as we don't all do this for a living) and foremost instead of the money aspect, especially when it is last minute and you’re in your most vulnerable state.
