We hired Rachel & the Plan It Perfect team for our wedding at the George Peabody Library and I'm so happy we did! Rachel and team provided day of coordination services. I knew we were in good hands and it was nice being able to relax and enjoy the moment on our big day, knowing Rachel and team would have all the details covered. I highly recommend hiring a day of coordinator (even if your venue has a coordinator) to help you enjoy your day! Rachel and team are great and will definitely recommend them to all my friends getting married in the future. Thank you!!
We found out two months before our wedding day that we didn't have a day-of-coordinator. We hired Plan It Perfect and I'm so happy we did. Rachel was fully prepared and had anything to everything with her. Rachel and her assistant, Karenna, were extremely helpful with the wedding day. I honestly do not know what I would have done with them. Rachel met with us a few times prior and was always available via email. She ordered linens for us and reached out to all our vendors. She created an extensive timeline and kept everything afloat. We came back to our room the night of the wedding at the hotel and she had everything packed up for us. Our cake was in the fridge, flowers were in my room, everything was well organized and thought out. Rachel and Karenna really out did themselves and I highly recommend using them!
Rachel and the Plan It Perfect team are absolute gems, and they were the unsung heroes of our perfect wedding day! As a day-of wedding coordinator, Rachel didn't just meet our expectations; she surpassed them in every way possible. Our venue required that we hire a day-of coordinator, and I am glad they did -- I don't know that we could've pulled our wedding off without Rachel and her team.
Her dedication and attention to detail were evident from the moment we met her. Leading up to the big day, Rachel was incredibly organized, responsive, and proactive in ensuring that every aspect of our wedding was well-coordinated and executed seamlessly -- which is very helpful when you are dealing with multiple vendors during the "home stretch" as the wedding approaches.
On the day of the event, Rachel's expertise truly shone through. She managed every detail flawlessly, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our wedding day. From coordinating with vendors to managing the timeline, Rachel was a force of calm and efficiency, ensuring that everything ran smoothly without a hitch.

Rachel is the absolute best! I met her 12 years ago at my best friends wedding where I saw her put out a handful of fires (and that was all I could see). I told her when I got married I would hire her and sure enough I did! She made the whole process as painless as possible and never made us feel like a burden, even when we were calling/texting her while she was literally trying to get her son ready for school. She even had one of her assistants run out and get liquor when my father-in-law wanted something we didn't have! I would recommend her to anybody who is getting married. Our wedding would have been a train wreck without her. She took care of things I didn't even think were her responsibility! But it didn't matter. Us having our perfect wedding day was all that mattered to her.
If you're looking for a wedding planner or even a day-of coordinator, Plan It Perfect is the best choice you could make. My husband and I were planning our wedding in 2019 and hoped to get married in 2020. Obviously it got pushed back and, when it came time to figure out all our small details, we were at a loss. All the big plans had been figured out for a long time but we couldn't remember everything. We didn't know which holes in our plans needed to be addressed. I ended up asking David if we could hire a coordinator to just "be my brain" on our big day and he was supportive. We found Rachel and her team and immediately felt supported and taken care-of. Every part of my wedding went so smoothly. We were on time or early to everything we did. And my dress was only perfect because Rachel was always there to help button me up every step of the way! My belt didn't stay in place? Rachel had fabric tape. My bustle got busted? She came to the rescue with a safety pin. I can't thank Kim and Maureen enough, too, for helping to put up our chuppah and all our other decorations along the way. AND for taking it all down at the end of the night. I'm so grateful they were around and I literally CANNOT imagine how the day would have gone without them. It just wouldn't have been perfect. Rachel took over my brain and allowed me the space to just enjoy my day and take in every moment with my husband. Thank you. So much.
I don’t know if there’s a negative thing I can say about hiring Plan it Perfect for my wedding coordination - I wish I could have Rachel and her team with me at all times to field everything disorganized that comes my way.
My now wife and I got engaged 3.5 months ago, and went all-in on planning our wedding for last weekend. With 3 months till d-day, we raced to find a wedding coordinator to ensure our speedy wedding would go off without a hitch. Thank goodness we came across some recommendations for Plan it Perfect. And thank goodness they had availability for our day. Rachel knew it was a bit of a quick and DIY wedding, but she jumped on the challenge - there to steer us in all our indecisions. I had most of the major planning done, but needed plenty of guidance with the details as the day drew near. She dealt with wedding party antics, awkward family dynamics, last minute decisions, and everything else we threw at her with grace. Her two assistants, Kim and Jess, stepped in to ensure the flow of the evening, while not making sure we didn’t feel rushed or out of control.
When I say that Rachel, Kim and Jess saved my wedding - it is no exaggeration. My wife and I’s caterer, little did we know, was in sky high over its head. The ladies with Plan it Perfect didn’t let us see them sweat, they kept themselves calm and at the helm... While they dealt with the caterer showing up an hour late, missing half their poorly trained staff, and completely unable to set a table or bar. Myself and my bride were none the wiser the entire time. It wasn’t until service started that I saw how much of a shitshow the catering company really was. Yet, Rachel intervened and her team picked up the slack, jumping in to clear tables and coach waiters. It’s because of them I was able to dance the night away, unbothered by the terribly late food and disaster of a bar, amongst other things too frustrating to mention.
If you are thinking about whether or not you should hire a wedding coordinator, hire one. And if you’re going to hire one, hire Rachel Hoffberger. She cares. Her team cares. And they’re damn good at their job.
Rachel was AMAZING. She went above and beyond on the details the weeks leading up to the event, and on the day of. She was great at making our vision a reality but also helping us on things we didn't know about or just didn't have a preference on. Our wedding was stress free. I could not recommend her more.
As soon as I got engaged, I knew I wanted to hire Plan It Perfect to coordinate my wedding. I’ve known Rachel for several years as she’s been a mentor to me as I transitioned careers into the event industry. Having worked alongside Rachel on multiple weddings, I knew how hard she works to make her clients’ special day a success. She’s been in the industry for years and has extensive knowledge on how to successfully plan and coordinate events. Even when our officiant wasn’t able to attend the rehearsal last minute, Rachel stepped in with no problem. With Rachel and her assistant, Anastasia in charge we knew we were in good hands! Our day was more than we could dream of and Plan It Perfect played and integral part in that.
Put simply, Rachel is superwoman. My parents have repeatedly said that they believe she was by far their best investment for our wedding. This Type-A, mildly neurotic bride managed to keep cool as a cucumber our entire wedding weekend, and such a big part of why I was able to sit back and truly, truly enjoy the beginning of my marriage was because Rachel handled the details and the logistics of the day—and leading up to the day—impeccably. A five-star review just doesn’t do her justice.
The venue where my husband and I got married contractually required us to hire a “month-of” wedding coordinator—and looking back, we are so very grateful for that requirement. But at the time, the idea of hiring a planner made me pretty apprehensive—we were very excited to plan a wedding that was organically and authentically “us,” and we were concerned that a planner would turn our day into just another run-of-the-mill wedding. Unfortunately, after calls with a few different coordinators, my concerns were validated—too much talking about what they wanted to do, and not enough listening to what we wanted. Until we met Rachel! Rachel was the first person we felt genuinely wanted to help us make our wedding everything we wanted it to be, rather than mold our wedding into something else. And man, did she help our vision come to life!
Rachel truly went above and beyond, joining us on our tasting, accommodating an additional in-person meeting closer to our wedding; she put me at ease, and helped us problem solve when we experienced some hiccups (needing a new officiant 7 weeks before the wedding, needing new napkins 7 days before the wedding), she was my sounding board and wedding-guru for questions such like... what’s the difference between a place card and an escort card?... how do you tuck a 132” linen on a tiny sweetheart table? And she handled much bigger items, like logistical conversations with our vendors leading up to the wedding day. She fought for us when our on-site coordinator was being a bit difficult, and she talked behind us when we needed that extra umph to fight for what we wanted. In my head, there’s no way our wedding would have been everything we dreamed of without her... and even then, I know there are so many behind the scenes things that she took care of that I’m not even aware of.
Rachel beautifully navigated the balance between professional and friend during the 9 months we worked with her. I could jokingly complain to her about things, and have easy conversation, but then when I’d get frantic about X thing going wrong, she instantly stepped into those “I’m on it!” shoes and would instantly put me at ease. I had a blast working with her, and I’m so grateful that she was there by my side through the heavy lifting parts of planning.
Our wedding quite literally would not have been the same without her. <3
Rachel made our wedding. Of all of the vendors we recommend to our friends getting married, she is the one we insist our friends use. She knows the best vendors in the mid-Atlantic region in every price range. She makes sure everything runs smoothly from coordinating every detail of the day and takes tons of stress off your plate. Rachel was always available to answer any questions we had while planning and our wedding would not have been as special without Rachel. Highly recommended!
Rachel is WONDERFUL!! It's hard to match my organizational skills and love of to-do lists. Yet, Rachel surpasses me down to every Excel spreadsheet! She knew her audience in me and coordinated with me in a way that eased my stress levels a TON! No detail was overlooked and Rachel pulled off an incredible, elegant wedding with a nod to sports that many thought was impossible. She had amazing ideas and kept the day classy, but very fun! She is wonderful to work with and incredibly accommodating with meeting times. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to navigate them through the insanity that is planning a wedding (or any big event!)!!
Rachel with Plan It Perfect was an amazing help with getting our day to run smoothly. I found her last minute when I realized that I needed someone to coordinate the ceremony, since everyone else that would have otherwise been able to help was in the ceremony! She was very willing to help us, was priced incredibly reasonably, and was flawless. She is polite and handled my crazy family like a pro, especially during the rehearsal dinner when things got a bit tense. She arrived early and got the job done. We couldn't have done it without her!
We used Plan It Perfect for day-of planning services for our 2015 same-sex wedding. We worked closely with Rachel Hoffberger who now feels like a friend we have known for years.
We had plenty of time and wanted to be hands-on planning our own wedding. It is a HUGE undertaking, but honestly something we love doing. Once the wedding was planned we started to realize that the week before the wedding and the day of the wedding we just were not going to have enough time to do everything that needed to be done. I have planned large scale parties and events as part of my marketing at work so I knew what it took to plan and deliver a successful event. I didn’t all my planning to go to waste when my “bride brain” for got some fine details. I didn’t want to be unable to enjoy the week of my wedding because I was worried about ironing out the final kinks and calling all the vendors. Once it became apparent we needed a helping hand the search for wedding planners began.
I searched all over wedding wire, yelp, the knot, and google for leads. I spoke with many very qualified candidates for the job. Then as a referral from one of our other vendors we came across Rachel. I looked over her website and decided to give her a call. Rachel we beyond sweet and answered all of my questions. However a planner had not been in our original budget. We talked it over and knew that it was a must for us. There is no way I could leave all the details up to a family member or friend. I couldn’t take the joy of our party away from anyone I knew, and honestly I am not sure I’d trust them to deliver. Looking back, I know we couldn’t have done it without the help of Plan It Perfect. Rachel and Cate were in two places at once, they were overseeing everything, placing escort cards, bustling dresses, and making sure we stuck to our timeline. Until you plan a wedding you can’t begin to comprehend all the things a day of planner does to make your wedding run smooth. I know firsthand all the things Rachel and Cate did for us and there is not enough space to list even half of it.
Plan It Perfect was the PERFECT fit for us! Rachel had many suggestions of things we never thought of and also got us in touch with an amazing special act for our wedding. Working with Rachel and Cate was effortless. They take an extremely difficult job and make it seem easy, all while having amazing smiles on their faces.
Don’t do what we did and think you can do it all on your own. Don’t let your investment go to waste because some things get messed up at the last minute. Don’t try and fool yourself…YOU NEED A PLANNER! If you want to work with an ingenious planner who is easy to work with but as authoritative as she needs to be to be your wedding advocate and go between for all vendors, do yourself a favor and just make the call. You will be happy you did. I know we are!

It was my initial thought to do all of the wedding planning myself, I mean how hard could it be right? … Wrong!!! With my crazy work schedule and double the number of guests we originally intended on having at our wedding, my husband suggested I get help and found Rachel with Plan It Perfect. It was the best decision ever!!! Unlike most young brides to be, I never pre-planned or envisioned my wedding day into so much detail, that I was becoming a nervous wreck with every day closer to the wedding. I never realized how many small details I was overseeing and with Rachel’s tremendous help, our wedding turned out to be the Best Day of Our Lives and I was able to enjoy every moment of it. We got the complete package for Plan It Perfect and it was the best decision we made for our wedding. Rachel is incredible! I was never a nervous bride because she had answers for everything and made all of my choices easy to manage. She has a huge network of people with whom she works, and she guides you in the direction you want to go. She is fun and easy-going, and has an answer before you ask the question! She is there when you need her, and remembers everything that you've discussed along the way. During the wedding, I felt comfortable and confident in the fact that she and her assistant were there, doing all of the backstage work and keeping the event flowing. She is amazing!!! You won't be sorry with Plan It Perfect!
One month before the wedding Rachel took charge. She attended all meetings and made sure the big day was organized. She had multiple hands to help the day of the wedding and continued to ensure our parents and all important people were where they needed to be throughout the big day! We had very little stress and it was great although we never really felt like we saw Rachel it went smooth for the most part so I guess that is the point to a day of planner :)

I used Plan It Perfect for my Day Of Planner. Kim and Rachel were my primary go-to's, and they really got everything organized for me. I think I was a pretty organized bride, but they helped me get things done that never even crossed my mind. It was nice having someone there at the reception to watch the clock and tell me when it was time to cut the cake or dance the hora, so I could just enjoy the party. They were very involved: met with me twice before the wedding, responded quickly to emails and were there just about all day the day of the wedding. I know a planner is not in everyone's budget, but I think a day-of-planner is a nice compromise and well worth the cost. I would absolutely recommend Plan It Perfect for your wedding.
