"The best food out of any wedding I've ever been too." - a direct quote, and we recieved so many more comments just like it! Every single thing that was served on our wedding day to 180 guests, was just as delicious as it was when served to only my parents, fiance and I during our initial tasting. We didn't love one of the first dishes we selected to try, and it was no problem to come in for a second tasting later on that week. Also, we thought it was the kindest and most thoughtful gesture that they appointed someone to give out appetizers to my new husband and I, as well as our bridal party during our formal photos. We had figured we would miss out on the great food and drinks that come with happy hour, but thankfully Plated Events had already thought to take care of that. :)
For our menu we chose to have their Tri-tip, smoked pork loin and heirloom tomato salad. Also the cajun shrimp, crab cakes, chicken avo feta rolls and hummus/filet mignon as appetizers. We opted for both breads to be served as well!
We got married at Limoneira Ranch on September 29, 2018. We did our research on venues, and Limoneira was the first place we visited. After visiting several others, it was very clear to both of us that none of these other venues compared. It was literally, love at first sight. Limoneira is naturally beautiful, and the staff at Plated Events was very easy to work with. Teri was quick to reply to emails, Austin and the rest of the staff were very helpful on the day of, Tim was a superstar and ran our bar like a champ, and best of all, the food was absolutely delicious! There are tons of options to choose from for the menu - we loved what we picked and felt it went perfectly with our style and with the rustic feel of the venue. Limoneira and Plated Events helped make our wedding the best day of our lives, and we highly recommend them.
This wonderful place is truly a hidden gem. It is surrounded by lemon and avocado trees and picturesque mountains. Our wedding was above and beyond what we could ask for. From the beginning, our tour with Teri was very informative of what the venue and catering entailed. To working with Jocelyn and getting all details and paperwork complete.
To our wedding day, the manager and staff were top notch and the food was amazing!!! Ending the night with dancing under the stars and full moon was so magical and everything I had imagined it to be. Thank you Plated Events and Limoneira Ranch for make our wedding day more than we could ask for.
Jason and Jocelyn were great to work with. Not only did they help us with the venue at Limoneira, but their food was excellent and so was the service. Our family and friends were extremely pleased with their meal, and said it was the best food they've had at a reception. Thank you so much to Plated Events for making our day so lovely! Highly recommend using them for your reception.
We were required to have Plated Events by Chef Jason as our caterer when we chose our location, but we never doubted it. For the tasting we were allowed to bring 4 other people which turned into a fun night of trying new foods (and getting stuffed) and picking what we wanted. My husband desperately wanted to see if they would do braised short ribs and it actually was an option we could choose, we just had to ask. At the wedding the cheese, fruit, cracker tray was phenomenal (and actually was the hit of the tasting, we could not get enough). The food was served hot and plenty to go around, especially for seconds which our families do! Jocelyn and Jason are both wonderful - I came to find that Jason was very much the person who helped at the beginning but Jocelyn was the person to get a hold of and did all of our meetings and day of preparation.
Everything went well my guests did love the food and they worked hard, but when we did our tasting I made it very clear my only food allergy is strawberries and since they're in season I thought my guests would appreciate a separate bowl of them. I told them how severe my allergy is and let them know the strawberries can't touch anything! They were on every plate the day of my wedding as decoration and mixed in with the fresh fruit. I ate taco bell on my wedding day. Also the bar tendered said "shit" loudly in front of me and my four year old
Niece he was rude and discourteous it seems to only me, the bride, but my
Guests said he was ok.
I feel like I lucked out finding Plated Events and Jason Collis to cater our wedding. Jason and his staff did an amazing job at our wedding and everyone LOVED our food. Jason offers amazing food at an amazing price. The food and service was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate referring them to anyone.
